인간공학적 신발설계를 위한 노년여성 발측정치 분석 (Analysis on Foot Measurements of Elderly Women for Ergonomic Shoes Design)

  • This study was designed to figure out the changes in elderly women's foot size and shape by aging, to propose size specification for elderly women's shoes, and to produce regression equations using representative measurements items to estimate other measurements usually hard to get. Subjects were 118 women of 30-59 years and the 227 elderly women over 60 years. Martin's anthropometry was done on the right foot of each subject for 25 items. And 11 indirect measurement items were measured on both foot printing sole outline and picture in profile taken by digital camera. For statistical analysis on the anthropometric measurements by SPSS program, analysis of variance, post-hoc test(SNK-test), crosstabulation, multiple correlation analysis, regression analysis were performed. The results of the study are as follows. Firstly, it was found that the foot figures of elderly women over 60 years were smaller in girth and width than those of below 60 years. In addition, it was revealed that a big toe and a little toe of elderly women showed a tendency concentrating to the central axis of feet. The foot index of elderly was smaller in width and girth. Secondly, foot size distribution table of elderly group showed wider size ranges and covered smaller sizes than the below the age of 60, meaning wide variation in foot size of elderly women. Thirdly, the multiple correlation analysis showed high correlation of foot length/girth to other measurements, suggesting these two items could be used as representative items for elderly women's shoe size specification as other age groups. Regression equations were produced using foot length/girth to estimate other measurements, suggesting such items could be estimated effectively and utilized in on/off-line shoe manufacturing shop as heel to big toe length, heel to little toe length, exterior malleouls width, instep girth, ankle girth, etc. These results imply prudent features of elderly women's foot as diversity of foot shape and wide size specification range should be applied for ergonomic shoe design for them.

삼목 게임을 위해 개선된 몬테카를로 트리탐색 알고리즘 (Enhanced strategic Monte-Carlo Tree Search algorithm to play the game of Tic-Tac-Toe)

  • 몬테카를로 트리탐색은 최대우선탐색 알고리즘이며, 많은 게임 특히 바둑 게임에 성공적으로 적용되어 왔다. 삼목 게임에서 MCTS 간의 대국을 통해 성능을 평가하고자 했다. 첫 번째 대국자는 항상 두 번째 대국자에 비해 압도적인 우위를 보였으며, 최선의 게임 결과가 무승부가 됨에도 불구하고 첫 번째 대국자가 두 번째 대국자에 비해 우월한 이유를 찾고자 했다. MCTS는 반복적인 무작위 샘플링을 기반으로 하는 통계적 알고리즘이기 때문에, 특히 두 번째 대국자를 위해 전략을 요하는 시급한 문제를 적절히 대처하지 못한다. 이를 위해 전략적 MCTS(S-MCTS)를 제안하며, S-MCTS는 결코 삼목 게임에서 지지 않는다는 것을 보였다.

제 4족지 원위지골 골절 지연유합 환자의 복합 한의치료 효과 (The Clinical Effects of Complex Korean Medicine Treatment in Patient with Delayed Union of the 4th Toe Distal Phalanx Fracture)

  • The purpose of this study is to report the effect in treating a patient with delayed union of 4th toe distal phalanx fracture with a combination of Korean Medicine treatment. We treated the patient with acupuncture, cupping, pharmacopuncture, moxibustion and herbal medicine, from March 3, 2018 to June 25, 2018 (total 33 times). The numeric rating scale (NRS), X-ray were applied as outcome measures. After complex Korean medicine treatment was carried out, delayed union of 4th toe distal phalanx fracture was improved and pain was reduced. This result shows that Korean medicine treatment may be an effective option for delayed union. Further clinical studies are needed to clarify the effect of Korean medicine treatment on delayed union.

동씨침법(董氏鍼法)이 요각통(腰脚痛) 환자(患者)의 족지신근력(足趾伸筋力)에 미치는 영향(影響)에 대한 임상적(臨床的) 고찰(考察) (A Clinical Study on the Effects of Dorsiflexion of Foot & Great Toe of Dong-Si Acupuncture Therapy for the Patients With Lumbago)

  • Objective : The purpose of this study is to find out the effects of Dorsiflexion of foot & great toe of Dong-si acupuncture therapy for the patients with lumbago. Methods : A retrospective study has been carried out for 20 cases of lumbago patients who visited Cheongju Oriental Medical Hospital from January 1, 2002 to June 30, 2002. We have treated tem with acupuncture treatment of Dong-si acupuncture points(Yeong-gol and Dae-baek) and taken measurements with a Hand Grip Meter. Results : 1. There was no siginificance difference between the average values of the whole group and each groups divided by age before and after Dong-si acupuncture therapy. 2. The correlation of measured values before and after Dong-si acupuncture therapy was as much as 0.849, which suggests that the patients with higher value before the therapy also had higher value after the therapy. 3. The average value after Dong-si acupuncture therapy was higher than the average value before the therapy by $1.9625{\pm}.8440$, which suggests the therapeutic significance. Conclusion : The Dong-si acupuncture therapy is effective therapy of Dorsiflexion of foot & great toe.

수중 걷기 운동이 우측 편마비 환자의 발 운동학과 보행 속도에 미치는 영향 (The Effect of Aquatic Gait Training on Foot Kinesiology and Gait Speed in Right Hemiplegic Patients)

  • 본 연구는 편마비 환자에게 수중 걷기 훈련이 미치는 영향에 대해 알아보고자 10주간 수중 걷기 훈련과 지상 걷기 훈련 후 족저압, 거골하관절의 움직임, 보향각, 보행 속도를 측정하였다. 대상자는 20명으로 수중걷기 훈련 그룹(n=10)이 엄지발가락 영역, 뒤꿈치영역, 발허리부분의 족저압이 유의하게 증가하였고, 거골하관절의 움직임과 보향각이 안정화되었으며, 보행 속도 또한 증가함을 보였다. 보행 속도의 증가와 거골하 관절의 움직임 안정화와 보향각의 감소는 수중 걷기가 편마비 환자의 보행 속도 뿐만아니라 보행의 안정화에도 영향을 미친다고 생각되어진다. 또한 엄지발가락 영역과 뒤꿈치 영역의 족저압 증가는 보행시 뒤꿈치 닿기와 발가락 밀기 동작의 회복으로 해석되어진다. 이와 같은 결과로 볼때, 현재 사용되고 있는 치료사에 의한 전문적인 물리치료를 받지 못하는 환자들의 경우 스스로 수중 걷기 훈련만으로도 지상 걷기에 비하여 많은 효과를 볼 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.

  • Global e-Trade system which electronically processes all trade transactions of trading companies is an essential platform where export and import firms enhance international competitiveness. This study is to develop research models suitable for e-Trade and empirically analyze them in order to examine and verify factors affecting e-Trade system of trading companies on the basis of previously-verified studies on global e-Trade such as TAM, TOE, and Task-Technology Fit Model(TTF). Among many factors, this paper comprehensively analyzes an acceptance factor, which is one of the factors affecting the implementation and performance of e-Trade, from the technological, organizational, and environmental context. The finding from this paper will be applied to e-Trade projects carried out by the government in the future by analyzing the correlation between acceptance and performance.

  • Fictitious notch radius approach is based on the Neuter's microstructural support hypothesis which assumes that fatigue crack is governed by highly stressed volume of the material right on the weld toe area rather than the surface stress at a pin point of weld toe area. Variety of successes have been achieved in applying this methodology to the fatigue of welded joint, hence, it became one of recommended design procedure in IIW's recommendation as well as many ship classification societies. 1mm fictitious notch radius approach was applied to the various fatigue problems of welded joints in this study covering the effect of weld size, notch stress calculation for 3D geometry and low cycle fatigue problem. It was found that fictitious notch radius approach fumed out to be very effective and accurate in dealing with fatigue strength of welded joint.

  • CTBA(Coupled Torsion Beam Axle) has been adapted as the rear suspension of a compact car. Because that has the advantage of cost and weight in comparison with multi-link type. But CTBA has the disadvantage in vehicle stability to become oversteer occurring toe-out of the rear wheel when cornering and braking. In this study, we suggested CTBA Geometry Compensation System to overcome the disadvantage of CTBA. We predicted braking and cornering vehicle performance from proposed equation and numerical simulation. And also, the results were compared to objective and subjective evaluation in vehicle.

Consideration for a Proper Stress Definition in Fatigue Analysis of Welded Structures

  • At present, fatigue design of welded structures is primarily based on nominal stress or hot spot stress approach with a series of classified weld S-N curves. However, these methods are known to possess drawbacks, such as difficulty associated with defining proper nominal stress and the finite element sue sensitivity etc. Recently, a mesh-size insensitive structural stress definition is proposed by Battelle that gives a stress state at weld toe with relatively large mesh size. The structural stress definition is based on the elementary structural mechanics theory and provides an effective measure of a stress state in front of weld toe. As an experimental validation of the structural stress method in obtaining the fatigue strength of weldments, a series of experiment is carried out for various sizes of weldments. Based on the result from this study, it is expected to develop a more precise fatigue strength evaluation technique and to save time period required in the fatigue design of ship and offshore structures.

  • Large-scale tests of welded tubular K-joint sunder balanced in-plane bending braces were carried out to observe the fatigue behavior of the API 2W Gr.60 steel plate produced by POSCO. Toe grinding and weld profiling were used to improve the fatigue life of a tubular K-joint. The effects of the steel grade and chord wall thickness on the fatigue life were also investigated. The present results were compared with the UK DEn design curve.
