제품 아키텍처의 진화와 경쟁전략: 한.중 상용차 산업을 중심으로 (Evolution of Product Architecture and Competitive Strategy: A Study of Commercial Vehicles Industry in Korea and China)

  • 최근 많은 산업에서 아키텍처 기반경쟁이 중요한 화두로 대두되고 있다. 많은 기업이 저원가와 개발기간 단축, 대량고객화를 동시에 추구하게 됨에 따라 제품과 프로세스의 모듈화 경향은 불가피한 선택으로 보인다. 그러나 기존연구는 지금까지 아키텍처 기반경쟁의 기본적 내용만 주로 다뤄왔다. 어떤 산업의 지배적 아키텍처는 서로 다른 경쟁환경과 소속기업의 기술역량에 따라 결정된다. 이 논문에서는 아키텍처 기반경쟁의 복잡한 상호적응과정을 다루는 새로운 이론적 분석틀을 제시한다. 먼저 중국의 상용차 부문에서 나타나고 있는 모듈화 경향을 분석하고, 이를 한국 기업의 아키텍처 전략과 비교한다. 이러한 탐색적 사례연구를 기초로 우리는 시장 수요의 특성, 주요 경쟁자의 기술역량, 지배적 아키텍처를 연결하는 새로운 가설을 제시한다.

포스트 IMF 시대 경쟁 논리의 내면화 양상 연구 - IMF 이후 서바이벌 프로그램의 변화 양상을 중심으로 (Study on Internalization of Post-IMF Era's Competition Logic - Focusing on the Changes of Survival Program Since IMF Era)

  • 본 연구는 IMF 이후의 시대성 내부에서 경쟁의 논리가 내면화되고 정교해지는 과정을 서바이벌 프로그램의 계보를 통해서 점검하기 위한 것이다. IMF 사태에 대한 극복의 서사가 공동체주의와 개인의 성공 사이에서 충분히 화해 가능한 서사 모델들을 발견했다면, 거꾸로 포스트 IMF는 경쟁과 관련된 특유의 정서적 구조를 드러내는 재난적 리얼리티에 기초하고 있다. 따라서 본 연구는 재난적 리얼리티를 서바이벌의 형식과 그러한 형식에 내포된 서사적 구조를 통해서 구성되어가는 과정을 살펴보는 것이기도 하다. 본 연구는 서바이벌 프로그램의 변화와 그에 따른 서사적 변화를 추적하기 위한 통시적인 흐름을 재구성하였다. 힐링-멘토의 시기에 상대적으로 서바이벌 프로그램은 쇠퇴하는 것처럼 보이지만 오히려 힐링-멘토 담론에 내포되어 있는 자기계발의 논리를 통해서 새로운 과도기를 마련한 것처럼 보인다. 사회나 구조보다도 개인의 자기계발 논리에 경유하면서, 서바이벌에 내재된 경쟁의 리얼리티는 더 이상 공동체 내부의 도덕주의나 정서적 화해를 위해서 작동하지 않아도 되는 것이다. 서바이벌 프로그램은 공동체 내부의 큰 공감을 지향하기보다는 좁은 자기 취향의 영역에 경쟁을 위임함으로써 환상적인 대리만족을 수행하게 된다.

  • One of the major challenges confronting a multiservice electric utility is the establishment of the right prices, for its services. The key objectives of particular pricing schemes are reasonableness of company earnings. Economic efficiency, the responsiveness of supply and of the allocation of sources to the desires of consumers, and maintenance of some degree of competition. This paper proposes a value-based pricing mechanism amenable to the current deregulation situation in electricity market allowing service differentiation. The proposed pricing mechanism can be implemented ina nodal auction model, and can also be applied to direct load control.

  • The main purpose of this paper is analyzing long-term growth possibility of a telecommunication Company (Telco) H. First of all, to achieve this purpose, the precise understanding about causal relations among growth and decay factors of Telco H is required. Based upon the causal analysis, a basic computer simulation model is developed. Finally, several predictive examinations about growth possibility and pattern of the Telco H are conducted using three scenarios. From simulation results, the most important policy leverages are capabilities of market share sustenance, improvement of service quality and squeezing current network facility to elevate profitability and efficiency. Recently, telecommunication industry has become more and more competitive due to introduction of Internet and deregulation. Internet has brought about global competition as well as confusion between telecommunication and broadcasting industries. At the almost same time, deregulation is a universal tendency and a catalyst of unlimited competition. Telco H has been a dominant company in Korea for last century. However, the dominant position of Telco H has been threatened by the change of competition environment. The competitive environment has many elements and keeps changing dynamically. Therefore, System Dynamics simulation methodology is adopted to examine the problem.

C2C 옥션 플랫폼 사용자의 충동적 입찰행동에 관한 연구 (Users' Impulsive Bidding Behavior in C2C Auction Platform)

  • Purpose While the popularity of C2C auction platforms such as eBay is gradually decreased, this domain is still undermined to explain online bidding behaviors. Online bidders sometimes engage in impulsive bidding due to some of the online auction characteristics. Therefore, this study develops and tests a model of the impulsive bidding exhibited by online bidders in C2C auction platforms. Based on S-O-R framework, our model posits that both perceived time-pressure and competition intensity affect cognitive absorption which ultimately influences the impulsive bidding. Design/methodology/approach This study collected survey data from 214 C2C auction participants, who have prior experience on impulsive bidding and tested both measurement model and structural model by using CB-SEM (covariate-based structural equation modelling) technique. In this study, by using AMOS 20.0, we tested the measurement model for its overall fit, item reliability, and validity and further conducted the structural model to test our proposed hypotheses. Findings Based on our results, we found that perceived tim-pressure and competition intensity were positively related to cognitive absorption. We also found that the cognitive absorption was positively associated with impulsive bidding behavior. In this study, by developing our research model in S-O-R framework, we provide an alternative theoretical mechanism to describe online impulsive bidding behavior.

  • The Korean hospital industry is rapidly changing along with the competition among hospitals. Until recently it was easy for hospitals to profit even without efficient management and competitive strategies. However, the increasingly intensive competition endanger their profits but also their survivals. Hospital managers have no choice but to seriously consider competitive management and marketing strategies to remain alive and prosper. This study introduces a useful methodology--perception map drawn using multidimensional scaling--for developing competitive strategies, and illustrates its application to developing a perception map of 9 Seoul-based general hospitals. We also suggest the concepts and examples of positioning strategies and patient satisfaction management system. One of the interesting findings is that the Samsung medical center which opened less than a year ago is ranked first in most aspects such as kindness, facilities, waiting time, and parking, and the second in clinical performance just after the Seoul National University Hospital.

  • As the business structure of many industries changes under IT progress and internet economy, the customer information has emerged a key factor in setting up the management policy. The customer has come to replace the product as a central figure in business competition. The domestic life insurance market has also experienced the rapid structural changes in IT time. The competition in the insurance industry to maintain the existing membership and to attract the new members gets stronger under such a new business circumstance. Accordingly, it is necessary for an individual insurance company to develop a systematic marketing plan, based on the customer information, to be competitive in the market. Unlike other studies in which customer characteristics are neglected, this study attempts to utilize the customer information by applying the data mining technique, and then suggests an efficient marketing strategy that could prevail in the competitive business environment.

  • Today, the principle of competition is being applied to Non-profit sector also. It is necessary for relevant persons in charge to learn the knowledge and technique about marketing technique endlessly in connection with the development of donor out of the development of social welfare resource which is being embossed as main pending problem at the point of time when the role of private sector about welfare service increased and the criterion of competition and evaluation among institutions was introduced. Especially, as for the application of marketing technique to utilize internet to have big marketing potential, the efforts for the realization and application of positive marketing to be suitable for the real situation of each institution is necessary in connection with the donor development of social welfare institution. In this study tried to examine the charge of method to develop donor which is based on the development of information technique and the popularization of internet from the viewpoint of internet marketing and suggest the basic data about the present situation of donor marketing to use the effective scheme for internet marketing.

  • Since the Japanese colonization,\ulcornerThe Architectural Association of Chosun(AAC)\ulcornerwas founded by the Japanese architects residing in Chosun. It is necessary to study the house related activities of this AAC as the process of modernization of Korean houses. As research materials,\ulcorner Chosun and Architecture\ulcornerwas used and the main concern of this research was based on competition of house design which were published in the magazines. There were four competitions which reflected the activity background of AAC with the social circumstances at that time and the research was done especially on the definite situation of the competition of house design. Also, the prize winning works were analyzed accordingly.
