  • While the housing transaction price of Seoul tends to be stagnant or declining in line with the housing market recession since 2007, the jeonse price keeps continual increase. Such flow of jeonse price change has a serious influence on ordinary person's housing stability seriously. Therefore, it is very meaningful in terms of social policy to analyze the trend of recent jeonse price change. This study aims to have an empirical analysis of structural characteristics of the trend of recent jeonse price change. After the review of various previous studies, this study selected housing jeonse price index, non-sold house quantity, jeonse vs. transaction price rate, and housing construction performance as analytical variables, and employed monthly time series resources from January 2007 to April 2011. As a result, when the housing supply reduced, the potential quantity for jeonse market reduced that occurred unbalance of supply and demand in jeonse market. In turn, it caused the increase of jeonse price. And, in case of jeonse vs. transaction price rate change, the rate increased which means the increase of required rate of return of invested demand. As such, the increase of market risk degenerates the investment sentiment which caused the reduction of quantity for jeonse market as a submarket.

  • Analysis of lunar samples returned by the US Apollo missions revealed that the lunar highlands consist of anorthosite, plagioclase, pyroxene, and olivine; also, the lunar maria are composed of materials such as basalt and ilmenite. More recently, the remote sensing approach has enabled reduction of the time required to investigate the entire lunar surface, compared to the approach of returning samples. Moreover, remote sensing has also made it possible to determine the existence of specific minerals and to examine wide areas. In this paper, an investigation was performed on the reflectance distribution and its trend. The results were applied to the example of the double ray stretched in parallel lines from the Tycho crater to the third-quadrant of Mare Nubium. Basic research and background information for the investigation of lunar surface characteristics is also presented. For this research, resources aboard the SELenological and ENgineering Explorer (SELENE), a Japanese lunar probe, were used. These included the Multiband Imager (MI) in the Lunar Imager/Spectrometer (LISM). The data of these instruments were edited through the toolkit, an image editing and analysis tool, Exelis Visual Information Solution (ENVI).

  • Background: Ovarian cancer is an important cause of mortality in women. The aim of this study was to evaluate the incidence and mortality rates and trends in the Iranian population and make predictions. Materials and Methods: National incidence from Iranian annual of National Cancer Registration report from 2003 to 2009 and National Death Statistics reported by the Ministry of Health and Medical Education from 1999 to 2004 were included in this study. A time series model (autoregressive) was used to predict the mortality for the years 2007, 2008, 2012 and 2013, with results expressed as annual mortality rates per 100,000. Results: The general mortality rate of ovarian cancer slightly increased during the years under study from 0.01 to 0.75 and reaching plateau according to the prediction model. Mortality was higher for older age. The incidence also increased during the period of the study. Conclusions: Our study indicated remarkable increasing trends in ovarian cancer mortality and incidence. Therefore, attention to high risk groups and setting awareness programs for women are needed to reduce the associated burden in the future.

  • This study purposed to grasp the Design Characteristic of the representative Furnitures produced recently by Domestic Furniture Manufacturers. As for the researching method, setting as the object of the selected 7 furniture manufacturers, through the regional classification such as living room, bedroom, dining room, and then chose again the 395 items of furnitures to be analyzed. The Design Characteristic of the chosen furnitures has been examined clearly by the analysis standard framework for those peculiarities at view of aesthetic, decorating and material. As the result of analysis, as for the aesthetic Peculiarity of the furnitures, the rectilinear form was overwhelming than the curve lined shape, and it was appeared that the brighter tone of color was used quite more. In the respect of aesthetic characteristic, the furnitures decorated with modern style is pretty gaining predominance than that of reflected style of traditional character, and since modern residential space has been maintained continuously as minimal shaped trend for several years, it could be known that such moulding and decorating peculiarities and also furniture as the composing factor of space had been selected together with it. Based on such conclusion, standing on this time point where the design trend of residential space is being changed, it is also considered that the Development of Furniture Design which copes positively with such change tendency in the future.

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study is to analyze the trend of quality research by analyzing the entire JKSQM(Journal of the Korean Society for Quality Management). Methods: This study is to analyze the frequency of words used in the abstract of the all JKSQM by applying the text mining processing. We use wordcrowd among text mining techniques. Results: 22 words of high frequency were presented in the abstract of the paper published in the JKSQM for 42 years. The frequency of words was shown on a 10 year basis, and the four important words were plotted on a change graph for each Vol. Frequent words of each Vol. are added in the appendix. Conclusion: The main research results are as follows. First, there has been no significant change in research trends over the last 40 years. Second, the early SQC words have been widely used, and since 1990, many words such as service-oriented words have been used, indicating a change in the times. Third, the use of the words of the 4th industrial revolution since 2010 is weak. In the above analysis, the trend of quality research in Korea is within the quality category and can be considered conservative. Now, it is expected that everything will be changed in the period of the 4th Industrial Revolution, and it is time to study the direction of quality in Korea.

  • This paper is concerned with the development and application of a stochastic model for daily sulphur dioxide $(SO_2)$ concentrations in urban area (Seoul). For this, the characteristics of the regression trend, periodicity and dependence of the daily $SO_2$ concentration are investigated by a statistisical analysis of the daily average $SO_2$ values measured in Seoul area during 1989 $\sim$ 1990. Based on these, nonlinear regression time series model for the prediction of daily $SO_2$ concentrations is derived. A statistical procedure for using the model to predict the concentration level is also proposed.

  • Objective: This paper describes changes in the characteristics of patients seeking orthodontic treatment over the past decade and the treatment they received, to identify any seasonal variations or trends. Methods: This single-center retrospective cohort study included all patients who presented to Seoul National University Dental Hospital for orthodontic diagnosis and treatment between January 1, 2005 and December 31, 2015. The study analyzed a set of heterogeneous variables grouped into the following categories: demographic (age, gender, and address), clinical (Angle Classification, anomaly, mode of orthodontic treatment, removable appliances for Phase 1 treatment, fixed appliances for Phase 2 treatment, orthognathic surgery, extraction, mini-plate, mini-implant, and patient transfer) and time-related variables (date of first visit and orthodontic treatment time). Time series analysis was applied to each variable. Results: The sample included 14,510 patients with a median age of 19.5 years. The number of patients and their ages demonstrated a clear seasonal variation, which peaked in the summer and winter. Increasing trends were observed for the proportion of male patients, use of non-extraction treatment modality, use of ceramic brackets, patients from provinces outside the Seoul region at large, patients transferred from private practitioners, and patients who underwent orthognathic surgery performed by university surgeons. Decreasing trends included the use of metal brackets and orthodontic treatment time. Conclusions: Time series analysis revealed a seasonal variation in some characteristics, and several variables showed changing trends over the past decade.
