In this study, we was compared the reliability performance of the software reliability model, which applied the Goel-Okumoto model developed using the exponential distribution, to the logarithmic function modifying the intensity function and the Rayleigh form. As a result, the log-type model is relatively smaller in the mean squared error compared to the Rayleigh model and the Goel-Okumoto model. The logarithmic model is more efficient because of the determination coefficient is relatively higher than the Goel-Okumoto model. The estimated determination coefficient of the proposed model was estimated to be more than 80% which is a useful model in the field of software reliability. Reliability has been shown to be relatively higher in the log-type model than the Rayleigh model and the Goel-Okumoto model as the mission time has elapsed. Through this study, software designer and users can identify the software failure characteristics using mean square error, decision coefficient. The confidence interval can be used as a basic guideline when applying the intensity function that reflects the characteristics of the lifetime distribution.

임상시험연구의 설계에서 적절한 표본수의 결정은 매우 중요한 문제 중의 하나이다. 본 논문에서는 생존분포를 비교하기 위한 여러 가지 방법들을 소개하고, 각 방법에서의 가정들을 고찰하였다. 또한 다양한 상황에서의 표본수와 검정력 등을 비교제시하고 모의실험을 통해 각 방법들의 이론상의 검정력과 실제 검정력을 알아보았다 그 결과로서 의학연구자들이 처한 여러 상황에 적합한 표본수의 결정방법을 제시하였다.

This paper presents the application of continuous wavelet transform for determination of dynamic parameters of continuous beam subjected to moving load. Morlet wavelet is used as mother wavelet in wavelet transform. Dynamic parameters are estimated from the magnitudes and arguments of the wavelet coefficients obtained by wavelet transforming the response time histories of joints on the beam. This study shows that the estimated parameters such as natural frequencies, dmping ratios and mode shapes are to be well-compared with those of the finite element analysis.

During Severe emergencies which result in the case of outage of large generator units, an automatic underfrequency protection scheme can prevent the system frequency from decaying and improve the system stability. This paper presents methods and results of a study on the optimum load shedding scheme which covering as follows. 1) Detail representation of governor model 2) Determination of optimum load shedding amount 3) Selection of action time settings of UFR 4) Comparsson of load shedding programs By this study, the optimum system operating method was recommended for reliable operation of power system.

This paper is concerned with the determination of assembly unit for hull block assembly processes for shipbuilding. In this study,genetic algorithm is adopted for assembly level allocation and assemaly unit is determined by rule-based reasoning. The criteria to detemine assembly unit is to minimize welding operation time for the block assembly.

This work presents a method for the determination of the safety factor of a slope based on the theory of the calculus of variations. The method allows for the determination of the critical sliding line (The one giving the minimum safety factor) without the necessity of guessing about its shape, which leads to a considerable economy of time and effort. Furthermore it gives the actual safety factor of the slape and consequently a more complete knowledge of the safety of the slope is obtained.

An attempt has been made to determination the NC milling machine's tool-path through the adaptive parabolic interpolation method & the adaptive linear-parabolic interpolation method in consideration of the economical machining time. The algorithms for the above-mentioned interpolation methods have been designed and the numerical experiments for these methods have been conducted with the existing adaptive linear interpolation methods for comparision.

This paper presents a new heuristic algorithm for the machine cell(MC) formation problem. MC formation problem is represented as an unbalanced k-way network partition and the proposed algorithm uses four stage-approach to solve the problem. Four stages are natural sub-network formation, determination of intial vertexes for each sub-network, determination of initial partition, and improvement of initial partition. Results of experiments show that the suggested algorithm provides near optimal solutions within very short computational time.

It is one of the essential task to determine the absolute location of mobile robot during its navigation. In this paper we propose an algorithm to calculate the distance and orientation of camera from landmark through the visual image of stripe typed landmark. Exact closed form solution of camera location is obtained with the correspondences from vertical line on mark plane to the intersection point of projected line with horizontal axis of image plane. It needs only one line image information, so that location determination can be processed in real time.

A simple and rapid determination of total retinol from various pharmaceuticals containing retinol derivatives was described. Retinol derivatives were hydrolyzed with alcoholic KOH to alcoholic retinol, which was determined by HPLC. Pretreatments and HPLC conditions depend on the kind of retinols and preparation forms. The total amount of alcoholic retinol could be determined with this method from many pharmaceutical preparation of retinol derivatives. Treating time of KOH, acidic reagents and HPLC conditions were investigated.
