철도차량용 LIM의 회전형 축소모델의 특성 해석 (Characteristic Analysis of a rotary small-scale model of a linear induction motor used for an urban railway transit)

  • A linear induction motor for urban railway transit is accompanied with the end-effect and large air-gap comparing with a rotary induction motor. These cause amount of difference between simulation results and experiments. In order to figure out the difference, experiments based on a real-scale test bed are indispensable, however building a test-line and a test vehicle is so difficult that authors are going to make a small-scale model and simulate it for comparison. In this paper, A rotary-type small-scale model of a linear induction motor is designed. Thrust and normal force of the model have been analyzed with the variation of frequency and speed by using a Finite Element Method(FEM).

  • Conventional clonoscope is semiflexible tube that should be manipulated by operator for inspection and treatment. Therefore, it sometimes causes pain for the patient and even perforation to the wall of colon if a surgeon is not well trained. For safe colonoscopy, self-propelling robots with inchworm locomotion are studied. But, inchworm locomotion has some problems in adaptiveness to the variation of colon diameter. In this paper, we propose novel locomotive mechanism which can move in the colon without any external assistance. It has several cams that have constant phase difference each other and located along the centerline of the mechanism. This mechanism could realize the robotic endoscope which has continuous and smooth thrust force.

  • Hybrid rocket had many advantage with compared to solid and liquid rockets. However, the engines have not yet been used in practical rocket systems, due mainly to the disadvantage of hybrid combustion, such as low fuel regression rate. In this study, lab-scale hybrid motor was designed and manufactured. And the methods of regression rate improvement were considered. Test firings with thrusts up to 300 N were conducted with GOX and transparent PMMA. Thrust was calculated with the pressure of the combustion chamber and the regression rate was measured in with variation of oxidizer flow rate. The regression rates showed a strong dependency on GOX mass flux. The frequency analysis technique of the bulk-mode oscillation of motor was applied to a hybrid rocket motor and was based on the principle that this frequency was inversely proportional to the square root of the chamber volume. Several problems and solutions of operating hybrid rocket were presented.

  • This paper proposes a tow-dimensional magnetic flux distribution analysis of the double-sided linear induction motor(DLIM). Both the longitudinal end-effect and the transverse edge-effect, which are due to the finite length and width of the primary stator, are considered. Also each force which is due to the variation of slip frequency was computed to show the fact that the thrust force of DLIM is dependent on both the longitudinal end-effect and the transverse edge-effect. To ascertain the propriety of this analysis, the simulated results of the magnetic flux density distribution in the airgap are compared to the experimental data.

  • This paper presents the system design of high speed linear synchronous machine in the required speed and thrust considering power of inverter. in this paper, the design of manufacturing motor is optimized by characteristics of motor parameters with the variation of coil turns of rotor and stator. And, the dynamic simulation are performed from the (d-q) transformation of the current and voltage and the mechanical dynamic equation composed of the mover mass and damping ratio. Finally, the results of design and analysis are verificated by finite element analysis.

  • A Linear Induction Motor that generates the direct thrust directly, is widely used for the operation system of electrified railroad, elevation system, conveyer system, and so on. There are two analysis methode of linear induction motor characteristics. One is the electrical magnetic analyzing, the other is analyzing equivalent circuit. The electrical magnetic analyzing methode has available advantages to consider the physical condition. The equivalent circuit analyzing methode has the elementary methode in the system of vector control and over shoot situation. In this paper, It is used the dynamic characteristic analyzing methode that can calculate efficiently the end effect by using equivalent circuit methode in the operating linear induction motor system modeling and doing simulation of output characteristics of vector controller.

  • An electromagnets and a single-sided linear induction motor(SLIM) are used for suspension and propulsion equipment respectively. The electromagnets and SLIM are installed in the same frame, called a bogie, to reduce the volume under the vehicle floor and to raise the response charateristics to follow the track. DLP용 유체동압베어링 스핀들모터 (Fluid Dynamic Bearing Spindle Motors for DLP)

  • The small precision spindle motors in the high value-added products including the visible home appliances such as DLP projector require not only the energy conversion devices but also high efficiency, low vibration and sound operation. However, the spindle motors using the conventional ball bearing and sintered porous metal bearing have following problems, respectively: the vibration by the irregularity of balls and the short motor life cycle by the ball's abrasion and higher sound noises by dry contact between shaft and sleeve. In this paper, it is proposed that the spindle motor with a fluid dynamic bearing is suitable for the motor to drive the color wheel of the DLP(digital lightening processor) in the visible home appliances. The proposed spindle motor is composed of the fluid dynamic bearing with both the radial force and the thrust force. The fluid dynamic bearing is solved by the finite element analysis of the mechanical field with the Reynolds equations. The magnetic part of spindle motor, which is a type of Brushless DC Motor, is designed by the electro-magnetic field analysis coupled with the Maxwell equation. And the load capacity and the friction loss of fluid dynamic bearing are analyzed to bearing clearance variation by the fabrication error in designed motor. The design of the proposed motor is implemented by the load torque caused by the eccentricity and the unbalance of the fluid dynamic bearing when the motors are fabricated in error. The prototype of the motor with the fluid dynamic bearing is manufactured, and experiment results show the vibration, sound, and phase current at no load and color wheel load of the motors in comparison. The high performance characteristics with the low vibration, the low acoustic noise and the optimal mechanical structure are verified by the experimental results.

  • 변위 비케플러 궤도란 질량중심이 궤도면에 대하여 변위를 갖는 궤도인데, 일반적인 궤도에 비해 다양한 임무를 수행할 수 있다는 장점이 있다. 비케플러 궤도를 유지하기 위해서는 지속적인 추력이 필요한데, 태양돛 우주선은 연료 소모 없이 지속적으로 추력을 얻을 수 있기 때문에 비케플러 궤도 운용에 적합하다. 본 논문에서는 소모성 추진제와 태양돛에 모두 적용할 수 있는 비케플러 궤도 이론을 소개하고, 태양돛 우주선에 적용시 차이점을 분석하였다. 비케플러 궤도를 4가지 유형으로 분류하고 궤도 유지를 위한 요구가속도를 계산하였다. 각 유형별 궤도안정성 식을 분석하고 시뮬레이션을 통해 검증하였다. 불안정 영역에서 궤도를 제어하기 위해 실시간 LQR을 적용한 제어기법을 개발하여 이에 대한 시뮬레이션을 수행하였다.

하이브리드 로켓의 L/D 비 변화에 따른 연소특성 연구 (A Study on Combustion Characteristics of Hybrid Rocket with the Variation of L/D Ratio)

  • 본 연구에서는 단일 포트 연료 형상을 갖는 하이브리드 추진 시스템의 고체 연료의 L/D(길이/직경)비 변화에 따른 연소 특성을 고찰하였다. 본 연구를 위해 연료 포트 직경이 같은 경우와 연료 길이가 같은 경우로 나누어 L/D 비 변화에 관한 실험을 수행하였다 연료 포트 직경이 같은 경우 L/D 비 변화에 따른 후퇴율은 큰 차이가 없었으며 L/D 비가 클수록 O/F 비는 낮았고 추력과 특성속도는 높았다. 연료 길이가 같은 경우 L/D 비 변화에 따른 O/F 비와 추력, 특성속도는 큰 차이가 없었으며 L/D 비가 작을수록 후퇴율은 높았다. O/F 비의 변화가 없을 경우 $\dot{r}=a{G_0}^n$에서 지수 n은 0.5의 값을 갖는 것을 실험적으로 얻을 수 있었다. PE와 기체산소를 본 실험의 연료와 산화제로 사용하였다.
