BACKGROUND/OBJECTIVES: Abdominal obesity is associated with metabolic disorders, and, in recent years, its prevalence in Korea has continuously increased. The change of lifestyle, particularly diet, is critical for the reduction of abdominal obesity. This study evaluated the effectiveness of an intervention focused on dietary self-efficacy and behaviors on the improvement of abdominal obesity. SUBJECTS/METHODS: Abdominally obese adults with additional cardiovascular risk factors were recruited through 16 medical facilities in South Korea from the year 2013 to 2014. The participants were randomly divided into 2 groups: an intensive intervention group (IG) that received a multi-component intervention to reduce abdominal obesity, by mainly focusing on dietary attitude and dietary behavior change, and a minimal information intervention group (MG) that received a brief explanation of health status and a simple recommendation for a lifestyle change. The interventions were provided for 6 mon, and health examinations were conducted at baseline, 3-, 6-, and 12-mon follow-ups. A path analysis was conducted to identify the process governing the changes in abdominal obesity. RESULTS: The IG showed an improvement in self-efficacy for eating control and diet quality at 6-mon follow-up. Abdominal obesity improved in both groups. Waist circumference was observed to be decreased through the path of "improved self-efficacy for eating control in food availability-eating restriction-improved dietary quality" in IG. Most changes in follow-ups were not significantly different between two groups. CONCLUSIONS: The intensive program targeting the modification of dietary behavior influenced management of abdominal obesity, and the effect occurred through a step-by-step process of change in attitude and behavior. Generally, improvements were also seen in the MG, which supports the necessity of regular health check-ups and brief consultation. The results can be used for further development and implementation of more successful interventions.

Since radar wind profiler (RWP) provides wind field data with high time and space resolution in all weather conditions, their verification of the accuracy and quality is essential. The simultaneous wind measurement from rawinsonde is commonly used to evaluate wind vectors from RWP. In this study, the simulation algorithm which produces the spectrum and raw time series (I/Q) data from the average values of moments is presented as a step-by-step verification method for the signal processing algorithm. The possibility of the simulation algorithm was also confirmed through comparison with the raw data of LAP-3000. The Doppler power spectrum was generated by assuming the density function of the skew-normal distribution and by using the moment values as the parameter. The simulated spectrum was generated through random numbers. In addition, the coherent averaged I/Q data was generated by random phase and inverse discrete Fourier transform, and raw I/Q data was generated through the Dirichlet distribution.

The old machine tools that have been used for a long time cause both increase in defective rate and decrease in productivity compared to new machines due to wear and failure of their components. In order to improve productivity and quality of machined components through remanufacturing, it is necessary to analyze the wear and failure of major components of old machine tools. In this study, the process for reverse engineering is designed for the remanufacture of planner millers, which belong to a very large machine tool. Also, the suitability of the designed process is verified through the analysis of the selected remanufactured components. In the first step of the process, some major components of the aging planner miller are scanned using a 3D laser scanner. In the next step, reverse engineering is performed using the data obtained through 3D scanning. Finally, wear and failure analysis is performed by comparing the reverse engineering data with the scan data. As a result, this reverse design and wear analysis can complement the insufficient design database and reduce costs in the maintenance of remanufactured products.
The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport (MoLIT) and the Korean Automobile Testing and Research Institute (KATRI) are supporting the development of Lv.3 automated vehicle (hereinafter, AV) technology by constructing an automated driving pilot city (as known as K-City) equipped with total 5 evaluation environments (urban, motorway, suburban, community road, and autonomous parking facility) which is a test bed exclusively for AV (2017~2018). An upgrade project is in a progress to materialize harsh environments such as bad weather (rain, fog, etc.) and reproduction of communication jamming (GPS blocking, etc.) with the purpose of supporting the development of Lv.4 connected & automated vehicle (hereinafter, CAV) technology (2019~2022). We intend to proactively establish a national level standard for CAV test-bed and test road requirements, test method, etc. for establishment of a road map for the construction of the test bed which is being promoted step by step and analyze and, when required, benchmark the case of China that has announced and is utilizing it. Through this, we plan to define standardized requirements (evaluation facility, evaluation system, etc.) on the test bed for the development of Lv.4/4+ CAV technology and utilize the same for the design and construction of a test bed, establishment of a road map for the construction of a real car-based test environment related to the support for autonomous driving service substantiation, etc. through provision of an evaluation environment utilizing K-City, and the establishment of a K-City upgrade strategies, etc.
The purpose of this paper is to find out what values users pursue from a smart device based education service. For this purpose, a survey was conducted using a questionnaire that was developed based on the results of literature review and user interviews. Thirteen user expectation values were developed from the results of the survey: individually customized learning, anytime anywhere learning, learning for career, learning through interaction, learning from diverse resources, learning through cooperation, learning through interchange, self-directed learning, learning within actual context, learning with feedback, learning in spare time, learning with motivation & compensation, and step-by-step learning. In addition, the results of the survey also showed that the user expectation values of women, high school students and people who responded that they knew the smart device based education service very well were higher than those of other users.

Most text data collected through web scraping for artificial intelligence and big data analysis is generally large and unstructured, so a purification process is required for big data analysis. The process becomes structured data that can be analyzed through a heuristic pre-processing refining step and a post-processing machine refining step. Therefore, in this study, in the post-processing machine refining process, the Korean dictionary and the stopword dictionary are used to extract vocabularies for frequency analysis for word cloud analysis. In this process, "user-defined stopwords" are used to efficiently remove stopwords that were not removed. We propose a methodology for applying the "thesaurus" and examine the pros and cons of the proposed refining method through a case analysis using the "user-defined stop word thesaurus" technique proposed to complement the problems of the existing "stop word dictionary" method with R's word cloud technique. We present comparative verification and suggest the effectiveness of practical application of the proposed methodology.

The practitioners can prevent the existing problems from new projects through using the proposed agreement. Furthermore, it is expected that the school building complex projects will be activated.
Since management innovation has been practiced only in the large entrepreneur, its application to small business seems to be very difficult. However, if the participation of all employees was properly provided, management innovation could be applied to every size of business with no difficulty or problem. Management innovation can be simply defined as an innovation in consciousness of entire employee to achieve a new target within the short period. Management innovation is not easy indeed, but may be obtained through the regimentation of each member's manpower in the small business. Through the goal setting and proper steps for the goal, management innovation can be obtained. Five S movement may be one of the basic step in the achievement of management innovation. Several factors that can affect the management innovation were reviewed and applied to small business in this study. The purpose of the study is in the settlement of business culture by the application of business innovation.
Service Oriented Architecture(SOA) is an enterprise-scale IT architecture for linking software resources available on the network. SOA is believed to become the future enterprise solution that promises the agility and flexibility by integrating business processes through composition of the software services across enterprises. The first step for SOA construction is to identify the services. In this paper, we present a process-based service identification methodology for SOA through a case study of an IT company. Our methodology is composed of three steps: Processes (business & technical processes) analysis and systems analysis, Service candidates selection, and Service evaluation and construction planning. This framework would be practical and could be accepted to other organizations as it has been developed through the real case.
