  • A numerical investigation on a suction vortices, free vortices and subsurface vortices behavior in the model sump system with multi-intakes is performed A test model sump and piping system were designed based on Froude similitude for the prototype of the recommended structure layout by HI-9.B Standard for Pump Intake Design of the Hydraulic Institute. A numerical analysis of three dimensional multiphase flows through the model sump is performed by using the finite volume method of the CFX code with multi-block structured grid systems. A ${\kappa}-{\omega]$ ShearStressTransportturbulencemodelandthe Rayleigh-Plesset cavitation model are used for solving turbulence cavitating flow. From the numerical analysis, several types of vortices are reproduced and their formation, growing shedding and detailed vortex structures are investigated. To reduce abnormal vortices, an anti-vortex device is considered and its effect is investigated and discussed.

이.착륙 비행 안정성 예측을 위한 3차원 수치해석(측풍 60° 방향) (The 3D Numerical Analysis on the Predictions of Flight Stability at Take-off and Landing (Crosswind 60°))

  • The aim of this paper is to research the change in the turbulent flow and the AOA occurred by $60^{\circ}$ crosswind to the direction of runway through the three-dimensional numerical analysis and to predict the take-off and landing flight stability. As a result, the maximum amplitude of AOA variation on runway reached $4.88^{\circ}$ within 7 second because of the wake formed by the constructions in the vicinity of the airport, and the overall effects appeared as an irregular aperiodic forms. Additionally, it was observed that the layout and shape of the buildings effected on the strength of turbulence directly, and the rapid flow generated between the buildings changed into stronger wake and eventually expected that the flow raises serious take-off and landing flight instability.

Multimodal Interaction on Automultiscopic Content with Mobile Surface Haptics

  • In this work, we present interactive automultiscopic content with mobile surface haptics for multimodal interaction. Our system consists of a 40-view automultiscopic display and a tablet supporting surface haptics in an immersive room. Animated graphics are projected onto the walls of the room. The 40-view automultiscopic display is placed at the center of the front wall. The haptic tablet is installed at the mobile station to enable the user to interact with the tablet. The 40-view real-time rendering and multiplexing technology is applied by establishing virtual cameras in the convergence layout. Surface haptics rendering is synchronized with three-dimensional (3D) objects on the display for real-time haptic interaction. We conduct an experiment to evaluate user experiences of the proposed system. The results demonstrate that the system's multimodal interaction provides positive user experiences of immersion, control, user interface intuitiveness, and 3D effects.

스텐다드 셀의 자동배치 시스템에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Automatic Placement System for Standard Cell)

  • This paper describes a standard cell placement strategy which consists of three kconsecutive steps` initial placement, iterative placement improvement, and string placement. In the initial placement step, cell placement was done by solving the linear ordering problem for a one-dimensional layout of standard cells and then zigzaging the resultant linear order width in the chip plane. The iterative placement improvement step is based on the iterative pairwise interchange using the estimated total routing length as a figure-or -merit. The string placement is used to reorder cells and terminals in each etandard cell row such that channel routing in the adjacent channels is not blocked by cyclic constraints and needs fewer routing tracks. The placement program is coded in PASCAL and kimplemented on a VAX-11/750 computer. Experimental results for several examples are included.

성격유형별 미디어 작품선호도 조사를 통한 도시의 빛 미디어 축제 가이드라인에 관한 연구 (A Study of Urban Festival Guideline of Light Media Considering Personality Type of Preference on Media Arts)

  • The public festival has a positive function to produce more pleasure and better life to urban residents on viewpoint of culture marketing. A research of relation between urban festival's media light environmental and personality type of audiences would give a design guide line on selection of festival media contents. The scope of study festival bounds three urban fesitvals from two thousand eight to two thousand ten. The personaliy indicator is used by self-mootioring scale called NEO-PI-R that Synyder, psychologist established in 1987. This indicator divides into five classes - N: Neutroticism, E: Extaversoon, O: Openness, A: Agreeableness, C: Conscientiousness. As a result, Anaysis of urban festival's media light environments considering five personality type of audiences are described, N type prefers the change a lot and low stability. E type prefers three dimensional video and dynamic production with passionate pressure. O type prefers radiates objects to promote the imaginative creatures with speculation. A type prefers contemplation arts with one way direction. C type prefers orderly art layout with accomplishing intention. The statistics datas anaynize ten factors to describe the urban complicated fesitival guide line clearly.

다층배선 인터커넥트 구조의 기생 캐패시턴스 추출 연구 (A Study on the Extraction of Parasitic Capacitance for Multiple-level Interconnect Structures)

  • 본 논문에서는 반도체 집적 회로의 다층 배선 인터커넥트 사이의 기생 캐패시턴스를 수치 해석적으로 계산하여 추출하는 새로운 방법과 그 적용 예를 보고한다. 기생 캐패시턴스를 시뮬레이션을 통해 추출하기 위하여, 복잡한 형태의 3차원 대층배선 구조물을 유한요소법을 이용하여 해석하였다. 캐패시턴스를 추출하기 위한 3차원 다층배선 구조물은 3차원 변환 정보를 가진 2차원 평면 마스크 레이아웃 데이터로부터 생성하였다. 시뮬레이션 결과의 정확도를 검증을 위하여 8.0×8.0×5.0㎛\sup 3\ 크기의 영역에 평행한 두 도전층이 상하로 교차한 구조에 대하여 실험치와 비교하였다. 3차원 다층배선 구조물의 기생 캐패시턴스 추출을 위해서, 유한 요소법 적용을 위한 1,960개의 노드와 8,892개의 사면체 메쉬를 생성하였으며, ULTRA SPARC 1 워크스테이션에 대해서 소요된 CPU 시간은 28초이었으며, 4.4 메가바이트의 메모리를 사용하였다.

  • 제당의 누수부위 조사를 위하여 전기비저항 탐사가 많이 이용되고 있는 바, 전기비 저항 탐사를 이용한 누수부위의 파악은 주로 제체 내 불균질대의 규명을 통하여 이루어지고 있다. 본 연구에서는 제당의 누수부위 탐지를 위한 전기비저항 탐사의 3차원 유한요소 수치모델링을 수행하고 이 결과를 이용하여 제당 누수부위 조사를 위한 2차원 및 3차원 전기비저항 탐사 방법론 및 자료의 해석에 대하여 고찰하였다. 제체의 형상과 전기비저항 구조는 근본적으로 3차원이므로 종래의 2차원 전기비저항 탐사에 비하여 비록 격자상의 측선 배열을 적용할 수 없더라도 3차원적으로 탐사를 수행하고 이를 해석함으로써 좀 더 정확한 제체하부의 영상화가 가능함을 보였다.

자동차 엔진공장의 크랭크샤프트 라인설계를 위한 시뮬레이션 사례연구 (A Case Study of Simulation for the Design of Crankshaft Line in an Automotive Engine Shop)

  • 자동차 엔진을 구성하는 주요부품은 실린더블록, 실린더헤드, 크랭크샤프트, 커넥팅로드, 캠샤프트 등으로 구성되는데 이들의 영문명을 따서 5C라고 부른다. 따라서 일반적으로 엔진공장은 5C를 생산하는 라인과, 엔진 조립라인을 포함하는 6개의 라인으로 구성이 된다. 엔진공장은 소품종대량생산의 특성을 가지기 때문에 장비의 배치형태는 흐름라인의 형태를 따른다. 본 논문에서는 국내 자동차 회사 엔진공장의 크랭크샤프트라인 설계를 위한 시뮬레이션 사례를 소개한다. 크랭크샤프트 라인은 기계가공을 중심으로 하는 라인이다. 따라서 라인설계에 영향을 미치는 요인들에 대해 소개하고, 라인 효율에 미치는 영향을 $QUEST^{(R)}$라는 3차원 시뮬레이션 도구를 이용하여 분석하였다. 기술팀에서 제시한 초기배치안에 대해 시뮬레이션 모델을 구축한 후 실험을 통하여 시스템 효율을 개선시키기 위한 방법을 제시하였다.

Three-dimensional Kinematic Analysis of the Yurchenko Layout with 360-degree Twist in Female Vaults: Deterministic Model and Judges' Scores

  • Objective: The purpose of this study was to identify kinematic variables that govern successful performance and judges' scores and to establish correlative relationships among those of Yurchenko layout with a full twist in female vaults. Method: Four video cameras with sampling rate of 60 Hz collected 32 motion data of Yurchenko vaults from twenty-two female participants (age: $18.6{\pm}3.6years$, height: $153.0{\pm}6.5cm$, mass: $44.7{\pm}7.3kg$) during national competition. Posting processing and calculations of kinematic variables were performed in Kwon 3D XP and $Matlab^{(R)}$ programs. Correlation and regression analyses were applied to find the relationships between the obtained scores and kinematic variables. Deterministic model (Hay & Reid, 1988) was used to investigate the strength of correlative relationships among kinematic variables. Results: The obtained scores from the judges' decision were mainly affected by post-flight peak height, horse contact time, knee angle at landing, and horse takeoff angle. Strong blocking during horse contact was required to get successful performance and obtain high scores. Modified deterministic model showed that round-off entrance and takeoff angles and resultant velocity of the center of mass (CM) during the roundoff phase were the starting variables affecting performance in the following kinematics. Knee angle at landing, a highly influential variable on the obtained point, was only determined by judges' decision without significant correlative relationship with previous kinematic variables. Conclusion: The obtained scores highly depended on kinematic variables of post-flight and horse contact phases that were affected by those from the previous phases including round-off postures and resultant velocity of the body center of mass.

일본 도심 소규모 단독주택 내 공적공간(LDK)의 평면과 입체의 조합유형 (The Composition Types of Layout and Three-dimensional of the Public Space(LDK) in Small Houses in Japan)

  • Recently, new detached houses on a small plot in low-rise residential urban area have attracted more public interests than ever before. This study aims to categorize basic types of interior plans in small urban detached houses by analyzing the layouts of the public space(LDK) within them which are popular in Japan. The results of this study may be summarized as follows. Unit floor plans were basically classified as 16 types according to the layout of LDK. Among these, the LDK type in a straight line shows the most at 28.9%. Again, these plans were sub-classified into 38 types by plan composition. The new 'LDKL' (a new term the authors propose to be used) type was observed in cases where K was directly connected to L. This type appears at 9 out of 38 types. In the connection of LDK, the LDK type shows the most at 60.8%; secondly the L-DK type at 29.9%; thereafter the LD-K type at 6.2%; and lastly L-D-K type, the least frequently at 1.0%. The cases of inter-level connection between LDK and the surrounding space were observed in various cases such as the open workplace of the upstairs hallway visually connected with LDK through the void space and as the attic space of the pitched roof visually linked to it.
