  • This paper proposes a new PWM method to reduce the common mode voltage change in three-level Vienna rectifier. This new proposed PWM method uses medium voltage vector for the three-level Vienna rectifier to determine the sum of three-phase voltage zero, and the common mode voltage variation is decreased. Using the carrier comparison method, the switching function generator for three-level Vienna rectifier has been proposed. The effects of the proposed PWM method have been verified through simulation using the PSIM.

  • There is a trend toward the world's manufacturing sites moving to East Asia. After manufacture, these products are transported to the advanced nations for their consumption demands. Among such advanced nations, the U.S.A. has the largest demand, and then Japan and European countries follow. It should be noted that the infrastructures of the Asian districts used for the production sites are rather limited, and the volume of products transported from these districts of Asia to the U.S.A is becoming tremendously large. This situation is causing very serious traffic problems. New products are required to be transported swiftly by air. Once the consumption and market demands are stable however, the products should be sent rather slowly, but in larger amounts. However, the airports of China are quite restricted in capacity, while the transportation volume is becoming large. As a result, transportation cost and the time required for transportation are increasing. Now, a third method is appearing. This is the so-called Sea and Air transportation. The cost and time in transit of this mode take mean positions between Air and Ocean services. At present there exists no well-thought-out strategy for how to allocate these three methods of transportation. This paper is an attempt to theoretically describe this mechanism and to discover the optimal way to allocate the three modes. For this purpose, several mathematical properties of value and cost of the products are defined, and on this basis a simulation of the transportation is established.

빠른 응답 특성을 가지는 Average Current Mode Control 설계 기법 연구 (Average Current Mode Control Technique Having Fast Response)

  • A novel current control technique with fast response and application in an unbalanced system is proposed in this paper. Contrary to the conventional PI and dead-beat current control techniques, the proposed method is adopted to the valley current mode control (VCMC) and average current mode control (ACMC) methods to overcome the phase delay caused by conventional methods. The advantages of the proposed system are simplicity of structure and ease of implementation. The VCMC and ACMC methods are established and applied to the buck converter, boost converter, three-phase PWM converter, and three-phase inverter. The control performances of the proposed systems are shown by computer simulations and verified by experimental results.

계통연계 인버터의 주요 부하 불평형 시 상전류 제어를 통한 부하 상전압 평형 제어 (An Output Voltage Balance Control of Grid Connected Inverter by Phase Current Control at Critical Load Unbalanced Condition)

  • A grid-connected inverter can be used in grid-connected or stand-alone modes. Generally, a grid-connected inverter operates in a grid-connected mode, but the inverter operates in stand-alone mode if grid faults occur. In the stand-alone mode, the grid-connected inverter must supply electric power to a critical load that needs to receive stable power even though grid faults occur. Generally, three-phase loads are used as critical loads, but a single phase is configured in some cases. In these conditions, the critical load is required to unbalance the load power consumption, which makes the three-phase load voltage unbalancd. This unbalanced voltage problem can cause fatal problems to the three-phase critical loads, and thus must be addressed. Hence, this paper proposes an algorithm to solve this unbalanced voltage problem by the individual phase current control. The proposed method is verified using Psim simulation and experiments.

노선선택행태의 모형화 (Modeling of the Route Choice Behavior)

  • The multinomial logit model has been applied for various choice problems. Among others, the joint destination mode choice, the mode choice and the route choice are the three major modeling topics for korean transportation planners. This paper examines with real world data (the Olympic road and its competing two major arterials) the usefulness of a Logit route choice model. Quites surpisingly, it is found that the multinomial route choice behavioral model calibrated for this study based on (0,1) individula data base can not provide a good estimate for O-D trips less than 6㎞. 400data points and 3case studies might not be sufficient for a sound conclusion. It is, however, believed from a series of similar studies conducted by the authors that the route choice behavior is more sensitive (more demand elastic with respect to travel time changes) than the mode choice and the shorter trip, the more sensitive. The travel time parameters for destination choice models are usually smalle than the travel time parameters for mode choice models and these parameters (for mode choice models) turn our smaller than the travel time parameters for route choice models from this study. Table 2 in this paper shows parameter changes for three different markets and Table 3 shows the modeling errors when the estimated individual probabilities are aggregated into a route level.

수송수단의 선택이 허용된 생산 및 배송 스케줄링에 관한 연구 (Production-and-Delivery Scheduling with Transportation Mode Selection Allowed)

  • This paper considers a scheduling problem to minimize the sum of the associated scheduling (production/delivery times) cost and the delivery cost for an integrated system of a single production machine and various transportation vehicles with transportation mode selection allowed. Each transportation mode is provided with a fixed number of vehicles at the associated delivery time and cost. The proposed problem is characterized as being NP-hard. Some solution properties are also characterized. Therewith, three heuristic algorithms (called SPT-based, LWF-based and WSPT-based heuristic) and a branch-and-bound algorithm are derived. In order to evaluate the effectiveness and efficiency of the proposed algorithms, computational experiments are made with some numerical instances.

  • 환승센터의 계획이나 개선시 제일 먼저 부딧히는 문제의 하나는 어느 수단을 얼마나 가깝게 위치시켜야 하는가 하는 것이다. 이때의 목표는 중심 수단을 이용하는 승객이 가능한 한 최단거리를 걸어서 다른 수단으로 연결될 수 있게 하는 것이다. 이 문제가 결정되고 난 후에 라야 연결 통로에 대한 서비스 수준을 향상시키는 문제를 제기할 수 있다. 물리적인 접근 거리가 너무 긴 경우 개별 통로의 서비스수준을 아무리 높여도 전체적인 환승만족도가 일정수준이상 향상되기 어렵기 때문이다. 본 연구에서는 한 수단의 도착지에서 다른 수단의 출발지까지의 전 과정 (환승패스)을 외부보도구간, 계단구간, 실내통로구간으로 나누어 이용자 설문조사를 통하여 상대적인 저항감을 구하여 합산된 환승저항을 계산하고, 이를 전반적인 환승만족도와 연결시켜 환승효용함수를 구하고 이를 토대로 환승패스의 개선 방향을 결정하는 방법을 논하였다.

  • Six-phase motors can be used in industrial applications, such as an electric vehicle, due to their high reliability and low current magnitude per phase. An asymmetrical PMSM with two sets of three-phase windings is a commonly used structure for six-phase motors, with each winding set demonstrating a phase difference of 30°. Although the asymmetrical PMSM presents low torque ripples, its dynamic torque response deteriorates due to coupled components in the two three-phase windings. The decoupled VSD control is applied to eliminate the coupling effect. Load ratio control of two inverters for the six-phase PMSM is proposed in this study. DQ currents are controlled on the basis of two synchronous reference frames, and the six-phase drive system can be changed to a three-phase drive system when one inverter presents fault conditions. The operation and effectiveness of the proposed algorithm is verified through simulation and experiments. The six-phase drive system is transferred to a three-phase drive system by changing the current reference of the second DQ reference frame. Moreover, control of both torque and speed exhibits satisfactory performance before and after the mode change.

국내 완성차 물류 네트워크 합리화 방안 연구 (A Study on the Outbound Logistics Network Rationalization of Domestic Automobile Industry)

  • Many of logistics-related research in automobile industry has focused on inbound logistics and procurement. Research into outbound logistics is relatively few. As a starting research into outbound logistics in automobile industry, this paper examined its logistics network problems with three aspects - location strategy, inventory strategy and transportation strategy. We proposed alternatives of logistics network design resolution, and presented three practical scenarios based on those alternatives. Based on interview, on-site visit and internal data collection processes, we identified major domestic outbound logistics problems such as redundant logistics bases, inefficient delivery policy, insufficient inventory capacity, inventory stock quality deterioration, inefficient transportation system, and etc. In order to cope with those problems, we proposed such strategic alternatives as introduction of hub-and-spoke system, integration of logistics bases, introduction of (automatic) parking building, diversification of transportation mode, and etc. At the same time, we constructed three practically executable scenarios based on those ideas. The first is "Center Hub" scenario, the second is "Metropolitan Hub" scenario. The third and last scenario is "Regional Consolidation of Warehouses (distribution centers)".

A generalized adaptive variational mode decomposition method for nonstationary signals with mode overlapped components

  • Engineering structures in operation essentially belong to time-varying or nonlinear structures and the resultant response signals are usually non-stationary. For such time-varying structures, it is of great importance to extract time-dependent dynamic parameters from non-stationary response signals, which benefits structural health monitoring, safety assessment and vibration control. However, various traditional signal processing methods are unable to extract the embedded meaningful information. As a newly developed technique, variational mode decomposition (VMD) shows its superiority on signal decomposition, however, it still suffers two main problems. The foremost problem is that the number of modal components is required to be defined in advance. Another problem needs to be addressed is that VMD cannot effectively separate non-stationary signals composed of closely spaced or overlapped modes. As such, a new method named generalized adaptive variational modal decomposition (GAVMD) is proposed. In this new method, the number of component signals is adaptively estimated by an index of mean frequency, while the generalized demodulation algorithm is introduced to yield a generalized VMD that can decompose mode overlapped signals successfully. After that, synchrosqueezing wavelet transform (SWT) is applied to extract instantaneous frequencies (IFs) of the decomposed mono-component signals. To verify the validity and accuracy of the proposed method, three numerical examples and a steel cable with time-varying tension force are investigated. The results demonstrate that the proposed GAVMD method can decompose the multi-component signal with overlapped modes well and its combination with SWT enables a successful IF extraction of each individual component.
