  • The main purpose of this paper is to introduce a pair new class of primal and dual problem associated with an operator. We prove the sufficient optimality theorem, weak duality theorem and strong duality theorem for these problems. The equivalence between the generalized optimization problems and the generalized variational inequality problems is studied in ordered topological vector space modeled in Hilbert spaces. We introduce the concept of partial differential associated (PDA)-operator, PDA-vector function and PDA-antisymmetric function to show the existence of a new class of function called, ($T_{\eta};{\xi}_{\theta}$)-invex functions. We discuss first and second kind of ($T_{\eta};{\xi}_{\theta}$)-invex functions and establish their existence theorems in ordered topological vector spaces.

  • We first find a sufficient condition for a product of theta constants to be a Siegel modular function of a given even level. And, when $K_{(2p)}$ denotes the ray class field of $K=\mathbb{Q}(e^{2{\pi}i/5})$ modulo 2p for an odd prime p, we describe a subfield of $K_{(2p)}$ generated by the special value of a certain theta constant by using Shimura's reciprocity law.

  • The paper presents a method of constructing simple fuzzy control rules for the determination of stabilizing signals of automatic voltage regulator and governor, which are controllers of electric power systems. Fuzzy control rules are simplified by considering a coordinate transformation with the rotation angle .theta. on the phase plane, and by expanding the range of membership functions. Also, two rotation angles .theta. $_{1}$ and .theta. $_{2}$ are selected for the linearizable region and the nonlinear one of the system, respectively. Here, .theta. $_{1}$ is chosen by the pole assignment method, and .theta. $_{2}$ by a performance index. Fuzzy inference is applied to the connection of two rotation angles .theta. $_{1}$ and .theta. $_{1}$ by regarding the distance from the desired equilibrium point as a variable of condition parts. The control effect is demonstrated by an application of the proposed method to one-machine infinite-bus power system.

  • S. Turner has shown that a Neron symbol can be calculated from the values of K-meromorphic theta functions corresponding to divisors on K-holomorphic torus of strongly diagonal type. Using an isogeny to a K-holomorphic torus of strongly diagonal type, he constructed a Neron symbol on K-holomorphic torus of diagonal type. In this work, we provide a simple formula of the Neron symbol on the Tate curve. And then we construct the Neron symbol on K-holomorphic torus of diagonal or st rongly diagonal type without using isogenies.

  • We first derive several modular equations of degree 5 and present their concise proofs based on algebraic computations. We then establish explicit relations and formulas for some parameterizations for the theta functions ${\varphi}$ and ${\psi}$ by using the derived modular equations. In addition, we find specific values of the parameterizations and evaluate some numerical values of the Rogers-Ramanujan continued fraction.

We then use these modular equations to establish explicit relations and formulas for the parameterizations for the theta functions ${\varphi}$ and ${\psi}$ In addition, we find specific values of the parameterizations to evaluate some numerical values of the cubic continued fraction.

  • In the present paper, we establish relationship between continued fraction U(-q) of order 12 and Ramanujan's cubic continued fraction G(-q) and $G(q^n)$ for n = 1, 2, 3, 5 and 7. Also we evaluate U(q) and U(-q) by using two parameters for Ramanujan's theta-functions and their explicit values.

  • A new explanation, using exponential functions, is given for the S-shaped functional relation between the mean citation score and the proportion of top 10% (and other percentages) publications for the 500 Leiden Ranking universities. With this new model we again obtain an explanation for the concave or convex relation between the proportion of top $100{\theta}%$ publications, for different fractions of ${\theta}$.

  • Let a, b, P, and Q be real numbers with $PQ{\neq}0$ and $(a,b){\neq}(0,0)$. The Horadam sequence $\{W_n\}$ is defined by $W_0=a$, $W_1=b$ and $W_n=PW_{n-1}+QW_{n-2}$ for $n{\geq}2$. Let the sequence $\{X_n\}$ be defined by $X_n=W_{n+1}+QW_{n-1}$. In this study, we obtain some new identities between the Horadam sequence $\{W_n\}$ and the sequence $\{X_n\}$. By the help of these identities, we show that Diophantine equations such as $$x^2-Pxy-y^2={\pm}(b^2-Pab-a^2)(P^2+4),\\x^2-Pxy+y^2=-(b^2-Pab+a^2)(P^2-4),\\x^2-(P^2+4)y^2={\pm}4(b^2-Pab-a^2),$$ and $$x^2-(P^2-4)y^2=4(b^2-Pab+a^2)$$ have infinitely many integer solutions x and y, where a, b, and P are integers. Lastly, we make an application of the sequences $\{W_n\}$ and $\{X_n\}$ to trigonometric functions and get some new angle addition formulas such as $${\sin}\;r{\theta}\;{\sin}(m+n+r){\theta}={\sin}(m+r){\theta}\;{\sin}(n+r){\theta}-{\sin}\;m{\theta}\;{\sin}\;n{\theta},\\{\cos}\;r{\theta}\;{\cos}(m+n+r){\theta}={\cos}(m+r){\theta}\;{\cos}(n+r){\theta}-{\sin}\;m{\theta}\;{\sin}\;n{\theta},$$ and $${\cos}\;r{\theta}\;{\sin}(m+n){\theta}={\cos}(n+r){\theta}\;{\sin}\;m{\theta}+{\cos}(m-r){\theta}\;{\sin}\;n{\theta}$$.
