This paper aims to account for the backward anaphora that seem to be against the c-command requirements in the anaphor-antecedent relations. It was claimed that the binding conditions should apply at LF fur the backward binding cases involving phych-verbs and causatives. Under the recent development of minimalism where the concept of levels disappears to adopt a cyclic derivation, the data that show the backward binding phenomena have not been discussed in the area of the binding theory. In this paper, I argue that the backward binding cases can be incorporated into the core binding phenomena with the general assumptions on the thematic prominence. It is discussed how the dependency between NPs involving backward anaphora is determined by the thematic prominency. The Agree operation takes place between the probe T and the goal with the uninterpretable u[a] and [prominent] feature, by which an anaphor is valued, producing a proper interpretation.

In this paper we extend the functional principal component analysis for real-valued random functions to the case of Hilbert-space-valued functional random objects. For this, we introduce an autocovariance operator acting on the space of real-valued functions. We establish an eigendecomposition of the autocovariance operator and a Karuhnen-Loève expansion. We propose the estimators of the eigenfunctions and the functional principal component scores, and investigate the rates of convergence of the estimators to their targets. We detail the implementation of the methodology for the cases of compositional vectors and density functions, and illustrate the method by analyzing time-varying population composition data. We also discuss an extension of the methodology to multivariate cases and develop the corresponding theory.

In this paper, the basic principle and theory of fuzzy control was discribed, and the control plant was estabilished to construct system. Computer software for fuzzy control was developed, and evaluation of the properties was performed by simulation. In this result, the speed of response(time constant + dead time) was investigated, and when the control plant has astable elements, the stabilization was discribed.

A novel effective calculation method of the compensation current commands of active power filter using voltage source PWM converter is proposed on the basis of the instantaneous reactive power theory. The load currents and the phase of the source voltages are used for the simplification of the calculations and the reduction of the its time. And the calculation of the currents is performed by DSP 32014 within 50 uSEC. For reducing the DC voltage and saving the costs, a passive power filters are used. The simulation results of the effects of the active power filter with a passive filter are presented.

인터넷산업은 기술, 자본, 마케팅 등의 이유로 활발한 전략적 제휴가 이루어지고 있다. 본 논문은 최근 7년간 인터넷 산업의 기업간 전략적 제휴 사례를 조사하여 이를 바탕으로 전략제휴 네트워크화 하였다. 이 네트워크에 대해 연결정도, 밀도, 컴퍼넌트 분석을 수행하였으며, 연결정도의 분포를 분석하여 자연계, 사회시스템 등에서 많이 발견되고 있는 스케일 프리 네트워크의 성질을 갖는 지를 분석하였다. 또한 인터넷 붕괴 이전과 이후의 2기간의 전략적 제휴 네트워크의 변화 정도도 파악 하였다. 이와 같은 네트워크 모델분석은 국내 인터넷산업의 제휴 관계와 그 변화 추세 등을 거시적으로 살펴보는데 도움이 될 것이다.

피로 파괴연구의 급격한 발전에 따라 최근의 기계나 구조물들은 많은 분야에서 손상허용설계원리에 근거하여 설계되고 있다. 이러한 상황 하에서 피로파손의 정확한 특성을 밝히는 것은 신뢰성을 고려한 기계나 구조물의 설계에 있어 가장 중요한 요인이 된다. 피로파손은 많은 랜덤요소를 내포하고 있으므로 실험결과 분석 및 수명예측을 분석하기 위해서는 통계학적 해석이 요구되고 있다. 본 연구의 목적은 회전굽힘피로시험을 수행하고 피로수명을 분석하는데 정규분포, 대수분포, 지수분포 및 Weibull분포를 이용하여 실험결과와 비교하고 파손확률을 찾는데 있다.

These days people use a lot of electric power, because industry advancement and a standard of living is elevated. So voltage stability analysis and control problems are very important in these days. U.S.A has already developed voltage stability analysis program, and use it on power transmission scheme such as generator overhaul, transmission line off and so on. So voltage stability analysis is more and more interested in Korea, too. In this paper, we introduce a standard theory of voltage stability analysis and real time voltage stability analysis program that use sPMU(Satellite Phasor Measurement Unit). And we also introduce the calculation result about voltage stability in Jeju power transmission system.

This paper deals with dynamic optimal pricing for new products by a firm which maximizes the discounted profit stream of it's own in a duopoly. The problem is constructed as differential games and dynamic optimization theory. Cost is assumed to decline as time goes on. A modified customer's choice model is formulated as a diffusion model and we solve a dynamic optimization problem by adopting the diffusion model. Since this paper focus on deriving real prices not showing a time trend, we formulate recursive form equations of costate variables(shadow price) and a simultaneous equation of price. Hence we derive a dynamic optimal pricing model for using in real market. In particular, we construct a dynamic optimal pricing model in the case that there are benefits from not only new subscribers but also previous subscribers. We analyze instant camera market in U.S.A(1976-1985) by utilizing the above model.

본 연구는 멀티미디어 서비스를 무선 ATM 환경에서 지원하기 위한 WATM MAC프로토콜을 제안하였다. 무선 환경에서는 값비싼 무선 자원을 효율적으로 사용하여 ATM 서비스가 요구하는 QoS를 만족시키는 것이 중요하다. 특히 대역폭의 사용이 가변적인 비디오 트레픽의 경우는 유연한 대역폭 할당 기능이 있어야 한다. 이를 위하여 본 연구에서는 VBR과 CBR을 구분하여 제어하는 셀 스케쥴링 방식을 제안하였다. 이때 VBR 트레픽은 GCRA 알고리즘을 사용하여 가변적인 트레픽 요구를 만족시키도록 하였따. 제안된 제어 기법의 성능을 알아보기 위해 모의 실험을 통하여 성능을 평가하였다.

Using the theory of linear piezoelectricity, we consider the problem of piezoelectric ceramic infinite strip containing a finite crack with free surface traction and surface charge under anti-plane shear. The crack is symmetrically parallel to the edges of infinite strip. Fourier transforms are used to reduce the problem to two pairs of dual integral equations, which are then expressed in terms of Fredholm integral equations of the second kind. Numerical results for PZT-5H ceramic are obtained and discussed.
