직교 Hermite 펄스를 이용한 M진 UWB 시스템에서 타이밍 지터의 영향 분석 (The effect of Timing Jitter on Orthogonal Hermite Pulsefor M-ary UWB System)

  • UWB(Ultra Wideband)를 이용한 시스템은 텔레메틱스의 주요기술인 무선 엑세스 기술로 Bluetooth와 함께 활발한 연구가 진행되고 있다. 고속 데이터 통신이 가능한 UWB시스템은 시스템의 복잡도가 낮고 저렴한 가격으로 구현이 가능하다는 장점을 가지고 있다. 현재 UWB 이외의 기술에 대한 타이밍 지터의 효과는 많이 분석되었으나, UWB 시스템에서는 아직 타이밍 지터에 대한 많은 연구가 이루어지지 않았다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 Hermite 펄스를 사용하는 M진 UWB 시스템에 대한 타이밍 지터 효과를 이론적으로 분석하고, 성능을 모의실험을 통해 확인하였다. 이론적인 분석을 위해 직교 Hermite 펄스의 상관함수를 closed form으로 유도하였으며, 상관함수를 이용하여 M진 직교 Hermite 펄스 시스템의 심볼 에러 확률을 수학적으로 모델링 하였다. 또한 이 수학적 모델을 이용한 결과를 모의실험과 비교하였을 때 tightly upper bound 임을 확인하였다.

초고강도 섬유보강 콘크리트 프리스트레스트 거더의 극한 전단력 (Ultimate Shear Capacity of Prestressed Girder of Ultra High Performance Fiber Reinforced Concrete)

  • 본 연구는 전단철근이 없는 초고강도 섬유보강 콘크리트 프리스트레스 I형거더의 극한전단파괴하중 산정에 대한 이론적 근거를 마련하는데 있다. 9개의 초고강도 섬유보강 콘크리트 거더에 대한 극한 전단하중을 측정하였다. 전단하중을 산정하기 위한 해석식은 두 경계이론을 근거로 유도되었다. 섬유가 부담하는 전단력 산정모델은 섬유가 방향과 길이면에서 균일하게 분포한다는 가정하에서 구성되었다. 본 논문에서 제안한 초고강도 섬유보강 콘크리트 거더에 대한 전단강도식을 기존의 섬유보강 콘크리트 전단강도식과 실험에 의한 전단하중과 비교한 결과 비교적 정확한 산정값을 보여주었다.

  • 초음속 비행체에서 발생하는 소닉붐은 일반적인 환경소음과 달리 초저주파 영역을 포함한 충격음으로 전파된다. 본 논문에서는 배열 음향센서를 이용하여 소닉붐의 특징을 왜곡 없이 측정하기 위한 계측방법과 소닉붐의 전파방향을 추정하기 위한 도래각 추정 방법에 대해 연구하였다. 음향센서의 배치에 따른 도래각 추정성능을 이론적인 방법으로 제시하였고 모의실험에서 얻은 통계값을 이용하여 본 연구에서 제안하는 도래각 추정 방법의 성능을 검증하였다. 또한 실제 초음속 비행체에서 발생한 소닉붐을 제안한 방법으로 측정하였고 그 결과를 분석하였다. 본 연구에서 얻은 결과로 소닉붐 측정을 위한 시스템 구성, 도래각 추정 방법과 그 성능에 대한 직관적인 개념을 제공하였다.

유리 $B\{e}zier$ 곡선의 미분계산방법의 평가 (Evaluations of Representations for the Derivative of Rational $B\{e}zier$ Curve)

  • The problem of the computation of derivatives arises in various applications of rational Bezier curves. These applications sometimes require the computation of derivative on numerous points. Therefore, many researches have dealt with the representation for the computation of derivatives with the small computation error. This paper compares the performances of the representations for the derivative of rational Bezier curves in the performances. The performance is measured as computation requirements at the pre-processing stage and at the computation stage based on the theoretical derivation of computational bound as well as the experimental verification. Based on this measurement, this paper discusses which representation is preferable in different situations.

FMT 시스템의 ISI 추정치 기반 등화기법 (An Equalization Method in Filtered Multitone Modulation based on the ISI Estimation)

  • 광대역 통신을 위한 효율적 전송 방식으로 다중 반송파 시스템이 각광을 받고 있다. Filtered multitone(FMT) 시스템은 orthogonal frequency division multplexing(OFDM)과 달리 시간영역에서 필터의 길이가 여러 심볼 주기에 걸쳐 있으며, 이러한 긴 주기의 필터 사용으로 다중경로 환경에서 intersymbol interference(ISI)에 의한 성능열화 현상이 발생한다. 본 논문에서는 무선 채널 환경에서 필터에 의하여 발생한 ISI 성분을 제거하는 FMT 시스템을 위한 간단한 등화기법을 제안한다. 제안하는 등화기법은 직전 심볼과 직후 심볼에서 발생하는 ISI값을 추정하여, 현재 심볼에서 추정된 값을 빼줌으로써 ISI 성분을 제거해주는 방식으로 동작한다. 제안된 등화기의 성능을 이론적으로 분석하여 성능의 우수함을 보였으며, 컴퓨터 시뮬레이션을 통하여 제안된 시스템의 성능이 lower bound에 근접함을 보여주었다.

Robust Adaptive Wavelet-Neural-Network Sliding-Mode Speed Control for a DSP-Based PMSM Drive System

  • In this paper, an intelligent sliding-mode speed controller for achieving favorable decoupling control and high precision speed tracking performance of permanent-magnet synchronous motor (PMSM) drives is proposed. The intelligent controller consists of a sliding-mode controller (SMC) in the speed feed-back loop in addition to an on-line trained wavelet-neural-network controller (WNNC) connected in parallel with the SMC to construct a robust wavelet-neural-network controller (RWNNC). The RWNNC combines the merits of a SMC with the robust characteristics and a WNNC, which combines artificial neural networks for their online learning ability and wavelet decomposition for its identification ability. Theoretical analyses of both SMC and WNNC speed controllers are developed. The WNN is utilized to predict the uncertain system dynamics to relax the requirement of uncertainty bound in the design of a SMC. A computer simulation is developed to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed intelligent sliding mode speed controller. An experimental system is established to verify the effectiveness of the proposed control system. All of the control algorithms are implemented on a TMS320C31 DSP-based control computer. The simulated and experimental results confirm that the proposed RWNNC grants robust performance and precise response regardless of load disturbances and PMSM parameter uncertainties.

실시간 시스템에서 성능 향상 기법 (Enhanced Technique for Performance in Real Time Systems)

  • The real time scheduling is a key research area in high performance computing and has been a source of challenging problems. A periodic task is an infinite sequence of task instance where each job of a task comes in a regular period. The RMS (Rate Monotonic Scheduling) algorithm has the advantage of a strong theoretical foundation and holds out the promise of reducing the need for exhaustive testing of the scheduling. Many real-time systems built in the past based their scheduling on the Cyclic Executive Model because it produces predictable schedules which facilitate exhaustive testing. In this work we propose hybrid scheduling method which combines features of both of these scheduling algorithms. The original rate monotonic scheduling algorithm didn't consider the uniform sampling tasks in the real time systems. We have enumerated some issues when the RMS is applied to our hybrid scheduling method. We found the scheduling bound for the hard real-time systems which include the uniform sampling tasks. The suggested hybrid scheduling algorithm turns out to have some advantages from the point of view of the real time system designer, and is particularly useful in the context of large critical systems. Our algorithm can be useful for real time system designer who must guarantee the hard real time tasks.

Capacity Bounds on the Ergodic Capacity of Distributed MIMO Systems over K Fading Channels

  • The performance of D-MIMO systems is not only affected by multipath fading but also from shadowing fading, as well as path loss. In this paper, we investigate the ergodic capacity of D-MIMO systems operating in non-correlated K fading (Rayleigh/Gamma) channels. With the aid of majorization and Minkowski theory, we derive analytical closed-form expressions of the upper and lower bounds on the ergodic capacity for D-MIMO systems over non-correlated K fading channels, which are quite general and applicable for arbitrary signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) and the number of transceiver antennas. To intuitively reveal the impacts of system and fading parameters on the ergodic capacity, we deduce asymptotic approximations in the high and low SNR regimes. Finally, we pursue the massive MIMO systems analysis for the lower bound and derive closed-form expressions when the number of antennas at BS grows large, and when the number of antennas at transceivers becomes large with a fixed and finite ratio. It is demonstrated that the proposed expressions on the ergodic capacity accurately match with the theoretical analysis.

  • This study was undertaken to investigate the structural and configurational characteristics of the tailings return-unit in the commercially available head-feed combines and to study the aero-dynamical behavior of the tailings in the units. The mathematical model of the motion of tailings in the thrower casing was developed and the simulated trajectories for different type of units was analyzed to compare with the measured ones. The air-stream velocity profile in various locations along the tailings returning duct was measured to find the effect of configurational characteristics and blade tip speed. The results of the study are summerized as follows. 1. The ejecting angle, which is the angle between the direction of the particle velocity ejecting from the blade and the horizontal axis, was found to be about $66^{\circ}$ in both the simulation and experiment. The angle was much greater than the setting angle of actual duct of the combines studied, which were $48{\sim}56^{\circ}$. By comparison of these results, it was suggested to change duct setting angle so as to reduce the frictional force, between the duct wall and tailings, by reducing the difference between the ejecting and setting angles. 2. The velocity of the air stream in the duct was in general higher in the upper bound of the duct compared to the lower and decreased as the stream went toward the end of duct. The comparison of the tailings units among the combines studied showed a superior performance with the tapered duct having small diameter in the outlet and with greater number of thrower blade.

치위생교육과정 개선을 위한 연구 -치위생교육 인정평가 기준에서 교육과정을 중심으로- (A study on the improvement of dental hygiene curriculums in comparison with the curriculum segment of the accrediting criteria for dental hygiene education)

  • Purpose : The purpose of this study was to make a comparative analysis of the curriculum segment of the dental hygiene education accrediting criteria, one of the six segments of the criteria, and the curriculums of 26 colleges in a bid to provide information on the modification or improvement of the curriculums. Method : The curriculums of 18 three-year-course colleges and eight four-year-course universities were selected, and the courses offered by 10 colleges or more were categorized into three different fields to tabulate the courses: primary education, prevention / education, and clinical dental hygiene. After the courses were analyzed, some of them that were possible to integrate in view of dental hygienist duties were presented in this study as inclusive courses. Results : There was connection among the degree courses of the three-year-course curriculums in the field of primary education. The curriculums failed to keep up with the worldwide globalization trend. 90 credits or more were allocated to major subjects, which satisfied one of the mandatory requirements of the accrediting criteria, and two colleges provided theoretical and practical courses in the ratio of 50:50. A wide variety of personality-education and teaching-profession courses were offered according to each college's circumstances. None of the colleges was equipped with an inclusive curriculum, and there was a tendency for the three-year-course colleges to offer segmented subjects in accordance with the national examination. The courses in the field of prevention and education that are bound up with the job performance of dental hygienists should be integrated into dental hygiene and practice, and the courses in the clinical dental hygiene field should be incorporated into an inclusive course of 치과임상학. The integration of the courses will make it possible to ensure the successful articulation of the different school systems and to stay abreast with the globalization trend. Even just inclusive courses should give more weight to practice than theory to bolster the job performance of dental hygienists, and an inclusive curriculum should be prepared for students to receive activity-centered hands-on education in different semesters.
