Objectives : This study was conducted to investigate the current status of outsourcing in Korean hospital information systems and the factors influencing its introduction. Methods : The authors surveyed 136 hospitals located in Seoul and its surrounding vicinities from June 7 to June 23, 2006. The facilitators and inhibitors to outsourcing in hospital information systems were derived from literature and expert reviews. Multiple logistic regression analysis was applied to identify the major influencing factors on outsourcing in hospital information systems. Results : Eighty-six (63.2%) of the 136 hospitals surveyed, which were mainly tertiary hospitals, responded to using outsourcing for their hospital information systems. "Hardware and software maintenance and support," "application development," and "management of service and staff" were the major areas of outsourcing. Outsourcing had been employed for $4\sim7$ years by 45.5% of the hospitals and the proportion of the budget used for outsourcing was less than 20%. A need for an extension in outsourcing was agreed on by 76.5% of the hospitals. The multiple logistic regression analysis showed that both consumer satisfaction and security risk have an influence on hospital information system outsourcing. Conclusions : Outsourcing in hospital information systems is expected to increase just as in other industries. One primary facilitator to outsourcing in other industries is consumer satisfaction. We found that this was also a facilitator to outsourcing in hospital information systems. Security risk, which is usually considered an inhibitor to information technology outsourcing, was proven to be an inhibitor here as well. The results of this study may help hospital information systems establish a strategy and management plan for outsourcing.
Pyrrolidinedithiocarbamate (PDTC) and N-Acetylcysteine (NAC) are metal and nonmetal-chelating antioxidant which can induce rat and human smooth muscle cell death. When the smooth muscle cells from mouse aorta (MASMC) that we successfully cultured recently was exposed to PDTC and NAC in a normal serum state, the cells were induced to death by these compounds. However, PDTC did not induce the cell death in a serum depleted medium. This data suggests that certain factors in the serum may mediate the cytotoxic effect of PDTC. The metal chelator, Ca-EDTA blocked PDTC-induced cell death, but Cu-, Fe-, and Zn-EDTA did not block the PDTC-induced cell death. This data indicated that copper, iron, and zinc in the serum may lead to the cytotoxic effect of PDTC. Investigation of the intracellular zinc level in PDTC-induced smooth muscle cell death using the zinc probe dye N-(6-methoxy-8-quinolyl)-p-toluenesulfonamide shows that only the muscle-containing layers of the arteries have higher level of zinc. As expected, PDTC increased the intracellular fluorescence level of the zinc. In agreement with these results, the addition of an exogenous metal, zinc, induced the vascular aortic smooth muscle cell death which led to an increased intracellular zinc level. We concluded that PDTC induced mouse aortic smooth muscle cell death required not only zinc level but also intracellular copper and iron level. The mechanism of this antioxidant to induce vascular smooth muscle cell death may provide a new strategy to prevent their proliferation in arteriosclerotic lesions.
With the development of the multicast technology, the realtime strategy among the group applications using the multicast routing is getting more important. An essential factor of these real-time application is to optimize the Delay- and delay Variation-Bounded Multicast Tree(DVBMT) problem. This problem is to satisfy the minimum delay variation and the end-to-end delay within an upper bound. The DVBMT problem is known as NP-complete problem. The representative algorithms for the problem are DVMA, DDVCA, and so on. In this paper, we show that the proposed algorithm outperforms any other algorithm. The efficiency of our algorithm is verified through the prerformance evaluation and the enhancement is up to about 9% to 29% in terms of the multicast delay variation. The time complexity of our algorithm is $O(mn^2)$M.

The recent globalization of the consumer market has highlighted the importance of a brand; subsequently, brand extension is strategically used to launch of various products and services. Especially, various and new services based on information and communication technology for the convenience of consumers have been provided continuously. This study examined consumer's evaluation for brand extension centered on the brand extension as a mobile payment service through consumer propensity and familiarity as well as attitude toward a brand. The research is as follows. First, it shows that self-efficacy and implicit theories among consumer characteristics positively influence familiarity and attitude toward a brand. Second, it shows that the planned consumption tendency among consumption characteristics of a consumer positively affect familiarity toward a brand. Third, it is confirmed that the brand extension on parents brand affects the attitude towards brand extension, and the attitude towards brand extension is connected to a willingness to recommend through the purchase intention. This study empirically confirms the importance of consumer propensity, the consumer's perception, and evaluation towards the brand extension of the company as well as the continuous efforts and required company activities to build and form a positive attitude and familiarity of consumers for the brand. This study can be used as basic data for the strategy development of brand extensions in service companies.
Purpose: CMMI is a process model used to assess or improve an organization's software development capabilities. This paper deals with the quality indicators when using CMMI and their priorities for possible improvement. Methods: The 22 process areas and 167 practices of CMMI are matched with 60 indicators of Quality Scorecard(QSC) first to analyze the balance of CMMI in terms of prevention, appraisal, and final result categories and second to isolate a set of key areas for quality focused performance measures. Results: A total of 86.2% (144 out of 167) CMMI practices were mapped to QSC. According to the CMMI level of maturity, level 2 and 3 accounted for more than 75% of the total. The practices at the maturity level of 4 and 5 were mapped to more than 52% of the final result's measurements. It has been observed that CMMI practices need further elaboration at higher levels to consider prevention, appraisal, and final results simultaneously. Conclusion: In order to improve the quality performance of the organization by applying CMMI, the final result measures should be refined in metrics, cycles, and methods, and then corrective actions could be conducted to improve the performance of CMMI practices. This strategy would help the practitioners benefit from CMMI in fostering the overall quality level of key activities for the organization's business goals.

The year 2020 was a time when the coronavirus infections-19 (COVID-19) caused various changes in society. In particular, the fields that have been conducted face-to-face have been greatly confused by the transition to an online non-face-to-face method, and this is the case with the field of education. There are two main advantages of offline education. The first is that we can improve our understanding through communication with teachers, and the second is that we can develop social skills through interaction with friends. But as online classes progressed due to corona 19, interaction could not be achieved. As a result, the motivation for learning has been reduced due to difficulties in real-time feedback, and the participation rate has been significantly lowered, especially in lower grades, raising concerns about the learning gap that will occur after corona 19. However, there are some cases in which online classes were conducted as effectively as offline classes by utilizing various contents. What they have in common is the use of content. Teachers generally improved the quality of education by linking interesting sights and videos that enhance learning comprehension. The provided video conveys learning-related content into stories, enabling intuitive observation. Many students were already enjoying these videos through VOD (Video on Demand) such as TV and YouTube, they were able to connect their easy access to content and interest in learning. Appropriate use of video content has rather increased the learning effect and should continue after corona 19. Therefore, it is necessary to study methodologies that apply video content efficiently to education. This study looked at the steps that needed content application through the development of education programs, and observed its meaning. Students were curious about the content, motivated to learn and participated in learning on their own. Intuitive learning, conducted through appreciation, play and content production, provided an opportunity to learn on their own in everyday life.
Purpose:Hospitals provide top medical service using exceptional manpower, medical technology, and state-of-the-art equipment, thus raising the standard of customer satisfaction. In addition, their medical service is becoming higher than before. One-stop service is a good way to improve the quality of customer-centered service as a qualitative marketing strategy. This study thus aims to facilitate subsequent research and compare customer satisfaction before and after one-stop service. Methods: The study included 72 patients who received the reserved examination and one-stop service for 20 days from April 23 to May 12, 2014. The surveyed questionnaire data were analyzed using SPSS 18.00. Results: The comparison results of customer satisfaction showed that the satisfaction score was generally high in the areas of kindness of examination staff, the speedy/accuracy of work processing of examination staff, and the kindness of reservation staff. The group before one-stop service showed their dissatisfaction with repeated visits and difficulty of booking a desired day. The group after one-stop service showed dissatisfaction with the long waiting time for examination or same-day treatment. Conclusion: The one-stop service showed good results, but new uncomfortable issues for the customer were revealed as well, which may result in more work of employees. Considering the characteristics of various clinical departments, the author hopes to find an efficient operation plan through the development and improvement of an appropriate one-stop service method.

Over the past years techniques for non-linear analysis have been enhanced significantly via improved solution procedures, extended finite element techniques and increased robustness of constitutive models. Nevertheless, problems remain, especially for real world structures of softening materials like concrete. The softening gives negative stiffness and risk of bifurcations due to multiple cracks that compete to survive. Incremental-iterative techniques have difficulties in selecting and handling the local peaks and snap-backs. In this contribution, an alternative method is proposed. The softening diagram of negative slope is replaced by a saw-tooth diagram of positive slopes. The incremental-iterative Newton method is replaced by a series of linear analyses using a special scaling technique with subsequent stiffness/strength reduction per critical element. It is shown that this event-by-event strategy is robust and reliable. First, the model is shown to be objective with respect to mesh refinement. Next, the example of a large-scale dog-bone specimen in direct tension is analyzed using an isotropic version of the saw-tooth model. The model is capable of automatically providing the snap-back response. Subsequently, the saw-tooth model is extended to include anisotropy for fixed crack directions to accommodate both tensile cracking and compression strut action for reinforced concrete. Three different reinforced concrete structures are analyzed, a tension-pull specimen, a slender beam and a slab. In all cases, the model naturally provides the local peaks and snap-backs associated with the subsequent development of primary cracks starting from the rebar. The secant saw-tooth stiffness is always positive and the analysis always 'converges'. Bifurcations are prevented due to the scaling technique.

The explanation about educational contents perspectives, which is the key factor in e-Learning, is very weak. Therefore, this study suggested the strategy for spreading the e-Learning adoption through in terms of e-Learning educational contents and trust perspectives. This research results would provide the strategic implications to boost the e-Learning adoption in the various universities in terms of e-Learning educational contents and trust perspectives.
