  • Children's textbooks and women's manuals were used to investigate parent-child relationships under the Neo-Confucianism of the Chosun Dynasty compared with the present. Current practices of filial piety (Hyo) have changed but are still based on Neo-Confucianism. In present-day child rearing, parents aim to love their children (Ja-Ae) and to teach them Neo-Confucian values.

  • For efficient massive image retrieval, an image retrieval requires that several important objectives are satisfied, namely: automated extraction of features, efficient indexing and effective retrieval. In this work, we present a technique for extracting the 4-dimension directional feature. By directional detail, we imply strong directional activity in the horizontal, vertical and diagonal direction present in region of the image texture. This directional information also present smoothness of region. The 4-dimension feature is only indexed in the 4-D space so that complex high-dimensional indexing can be avoided.

  • The purposes of this study were to summarize the concept of well-being and well-being apartment, to grasp the present condition of apartments which were introduced with well-being factors, and to find out the consumer preferences of design factors for well-being apartment. Library and internet surveys were performed to summarize the concept of well-being and well-being apartment and to grasp the present condition of apartments which were introduced with well-being factors. Questionnaire survey was carried out from 2nd to 22nd of June 2005, to investigate the preferences of design factors for well-being apartment, and the respondents were 250 residents living in urban area. As major result, the design factors haying the preference were revealed as complex design, sports & health facility, and interior surface materials.

A Computational Study on the Unsteady Lateral Loads in a Rocket Nozzle

  • A numerical study of the unsteady flow in an over-expanded thrust optimized contour and compressed truncated perfect rocket nozzle is carried out in present paper. These rocket nozzles are subject to flow separation in transient phase at engine start-up and/or engine shut-down. The separation flow structures at different pressure ratios are observed. The start-up process exhibits two different shock structures such as FSS (Free Shock Separation) and RSS (Restricted Shock Separation). For a range of pressure ratios, hysteresis phenomenon occurs between these two separation patterns. A three-dimension compressible Navier-Stokes solver is used for the present study. One equation Spalart-Allmaras turbulence model is selected. The computed nozzle wall pressures show a good agreement with the experimental measurements. Present results have shown that present code can be used for the analysis of the transient flows in nozzle.

  • The present paper introduces a new fixed interface component mode synthesizing technique based on the notion of higher-order field-consistency. The present technique employs higher-order residual constraint modes in addition to lower fixed interface normal modes while consistency in matching field variables at the substructure interface is maintained. The present field-consistency approach does not increase the size of the synthesized system even if higher-order residual constraint modes are included. A new field-consistent higher-order synthesis technique is first presented and a numerical example is given to verify the present method.

  • 최근 여러 상용 기계번역 시스템들이 발표되고 있다. 하지만 아직은 많은 시스템들이 오역된 결과를 출력하는 문제점을 안고 있다. 본 논문은 이러한 오역 중에서 시제처리 때문에 발생하는 오류에 중점을 둔다. 본 논문에서는 한국어의 시제를 영어의 현재, 과거, 미래, 현재완료 과거완료 미래완료 현재진행 과거진행, 미래진행, 현재완료진행, 과거완료진행, 미래완료진행 등 12시제와 비교한다. 이와 함께 한국어 시제의 의미를 분석하고, 시제의 구조를 개념그래프에 기반 하여 기술한다. 실험에서는 시제가 포함된 문장을 입력받아 개념그래프로 변환하는 프로그램을 구현하고 그 결과를 기술한다.

기수호의 습성천이 현상과 생태적 복원정책 (On the Realities of Hydrach Succession in Brackish Water Lakes and Ecological Restoration Policy)

  • The purpose of this study is to present the model of ecological restoration through analysis on the condition of hydrach succession process in brackish water lake. To this study, we investigate and research the present condition of brackish water lake in South Korea. Most brackish water lake in South Korea have characteristics that is come into being malignant hydrach succession. Many lakes were reclaimed to increase foodstuff production. And river conservation work seperate lakes from the ocean. In a embryological view, most lakes based on the brackish water lakes, But present lakes show many different types such as a fresh water lake, a salt lake, a brackish water lake, a swamp, and a marshland. As a result, brackish water lakes have greatly damaged by diverse artificial interventions to promote people's activities. Therefore, in order to manage brackish water lakes systematically, criteria of lake preservation must be coincide with the present conditions of hydrach succession in each lake.

  • In the present paper, approximate plastic limit load solutions fur pipe bends under combined internal pressure and bending are obtained from detailed three-dimensional (3-D) FE limit analyses based on elastic-perfectly plastic materials with the small geometry change option. The present FE results show that existing limit load solutions for pipe bends are lower bounds but can be very different from the present FE results in some cases, particularly for bending. Accordingly closed-form approximations are proposed for pipe bends under combined pressure and in-plane bending based on the present FE results. The proposed limit load solutions would be a basis of defective pipe bends and be useful to estimate non-linear fracture mechanics parameters based on the reference stress approach.

  • We propose a new one-dimensional theory for thin-walled curved box beams having rectangular cross sections, in which torsional, out-of-plane bending, warping and distortional deformations are coupled. The major difference between the present theory and existing theories lies in that the present theory takes into account additional distortion as well as warping. To verify the present theory, a standard finite element based on the present theory is developed and used for numerical analysis. A couple of numerical examples indeed confirm that the consideration of warping and distortional deformations is very important.

  • This study is to diagnose the present superintendent election and education standing committee system for improvement based upon Constitutional values of local education system. The findings are the followings. To improve the election system of superintendent it is recommended to maintain present election system rather than change it drastically since the present system ensure relatively more autonomy, expertise, and political neutrality of local education system. However, the qualification such as years of educational experiences of superintendent candidates need to be restored. Regarding education standing committee it suggest that all or at least 2/3 members need to be educational representatives rather than general representatives. For superintendent as well as education standing committee election, it needs to elaborate the vote ballet such as change of candidates name order by voting place to reduce its effects to election results. It also needs to strengthen public management of election such as expenses and TV forums among candidates.
