A sequential optimization algorithm (SOA) for resource allocation in a cyclic-prefixed single-carrier cognitive relay system is proposed in this study. Both subcarrier pairing (SP) and power allocation are performed subject to a primary user interference constraint to minimize the mean squared error of frequency-domain equalization at the secondary destination receiver. Under uniform power allocation at the secondary source and optimal power allocation at the secondary relay, the ordered SP is proven to be asymptotically optimal in maximizing the matched filter bound on the signal-to-interference-plus-noise ratio. SOA implements the ordered SP before power allocation optimization by decoupling the ordered SP from the power allocation. Simulation results show that SOA can optimize resource allocation efficiently by significantly reducing complexity.
While many surveys show very positive attitudes on the part of consumers towards eco-friendly products, the market share actually reflecting green IT purchases remains low in most countries. The motivations behind green IT purchase behavior are still obscure. Several studies have addressed the question of green IT diffusion from economic and normative viewpoints in an attempt to interpret IT adoption behavior. This study comes at the question from a different angle, namely negative frame, examining threat and coping behaviors using the Ordered Protection Motivation (OPM) model and threat appraisal theory. The results show that attitudes toward fairness and positive change, which are precedents of threat appraisal, play an important role in determining threat appraisal. Perceived threats in the green IT arena include habit change and ecological change. Appraisal for coping with these threats directly affects initial adoption behaviors regarding available green IT, and then indirectly encourages the purchase of new green IT products.

Metal nano-wire arrays on Cu-coated seed layers were fabricated by aqueous solution method using sulfate bath at room temperature. The seed layers were coated on Anodic aluminum oxide (AAO) bottom substrates by electrochemical deposition technique, length and diameter of metal nano-wires were dominated by controlling the deposition parameters, such as deposition potential and time, electrolyte temperature. Anodic aluminum oxide (AAO) was used as a template to prepare highly ordered Ni, Fe, Co and Cu multilayer magnetic nano-wire arrays. This template was fabricated with two-step anodizing method, using dissimilar solutions for Al anodizing. The pore of anodic aluminum oxide templates were perfectly hexagonal arranged pore domains. The ordered Ni, Fe, Co and Cu systems nano-wire arrays were characterized by Field Emission Scanning Electron Microscopy (FE-SEM) and Vibrating Sample Magnetometer (VSM). The ordered Ni, Fe, Co and Cu systems nano-wires had different preferred orientation. In addition, these nano-wires showed different magnetization properties under the electrodepositing conditions.
This mixed push and pull production system defines that all stages are not ordered by either of the production systems. Some stages are ordered by a push-type production system and the other stages are ordered by a pull-type production system. A decision support system is built by using a combination of optimization program and the "tunable" SIMAN discrete-event simulation for the implementation of an optimally mixed production system. Finding this optimal system requires 6 CPU hours for the case study on a Pentium. Both the simulation and optimization model are validated with a case study of Phoenix company that manufactures transmitters. This paper uses survey from experts in this company for evaluation and validation of this system.
A study on reliability estimation of sequential-ordered multiple failure modes, which are sequentially ordered between failure modes in a considering system, was performed. Especially, an approach to estimate the probabilities of failure modes has been proposed under an assumption that failure modes are mutually exclusive and sequentially ordered by only a critical variable. A feasibility of the proposed approach were studied by a practical example, which is a reliability estimation of passive safety systems for a probabilistic safety assessment(PSA) of a very high temperature reactor(VHTR) that is under development as a future nuclear system with enhanced safety features. It is difficult to define a robust failure state of this nuclear system because of its enhanced radiation release characteristics, so the new approach is a useful concept to estimate not only its safety but also a PSA. A feasibility study applied two failure modes(e.g., small and large release of radioactive materials) with considering the integrated behavior of this nuclear system. It is expected that the multiple release states for a practical estimation can be easily extended to the aforementioned example. It was found out that the proposed approach was a useful technique to cover the unfavorable features of this nuclear system as to performing a VHTR PSA.
In this paper, to include more generalized cases, the authors present a modified concept for the tripled and quadruple fixed point of the mixed monotone mappings. Also, they investigate the existence and uniqueness of fixed point of the ordered monotone operator with the Matkowski contractive conditions in the partial ordered metric spaces. As the direct consequences, the existence of coupled fixed point, tripled fixed point and quadruple fixed point are explored at the common framework and some previous results in [T. G. Bhaskar and V. Lakshmikan-tham, Fixed point theory in partially ordered metric spaces and applications, Nonlinear Anal. 65 (2006), 1379-1393; V. Berinde and M. Borcut, Tripled fixed point theorems for contractive type mappings in partially ordered metric spaces, Nonlinear Anal. 74 (2011), no. 15, 4889-4897; E. Karapinar and N. V. Luong, Quadruple fixed point theorems for nonlinear contractions, Computers and Mathematics with Applications (2012), doi:10.1016/j.camwa.2012.02061] are improved. Finally, some fixed point theorems are proved.

Two component analysis methods based on the fuzzy relational calculus are proposed in the setting of the ordered structure. First component analysis is based on a decomposition of fuzzy relation into fuzzy bases, using gradient method. Second one is a component analysis based on the eigen fuzzy sets of fuzzy relation. Through experiments using the test images extracted from SIDBA and View Sphere Database, the effectiveness of the proposed component analysis methods is confirmed. Furthermore, improvements of the image compression/reconstruction and image retrieval based on ordered structure are also indicated.

The South Korean government is looking for a solution to the ever-growing problems of traffic congestion, and surging international oil prices: the use of the humble bicycle to get to places. However, Many people feel inconvenient using bicycle because of the insufficient bicycle infrastructure and lack of the safety and connectivity between existing pathways. In this study, bicycle level of service model using ordered probit model is developed considering safety, convenience, connectivity, and factors that affect bicycle LOS. The ordered probit model would be recommended for the research which relates in choice, preference and strength etc. Bicycle level of service criteria is calculated by applying this model reflecting bicyclist's point of view. The model which develops from this research which accomplishes a bicycle level of service evaluation and represent alternative solution to encourage bicyclist. It is believed that the proposed model would be greatly utilized in bicycle network planning, bicycle road and facility alternatives testing, projects funding priority.
This paper is considered with the problem of embedding complete binary trees into 3-dimensional meshes using dimension-ordered routing with primary concern of minimizing link congestion. The authors showed that a complete binary tree with $2^P-1$ nodes can be embedded into a 3-dimensional mesh with optimum size, $2^P$ nodes, if the link congestion is two[14], (More precisely, the link congestion of each dimension is two, two, and one if the dimension-ordered routing is used, and two, one, and one if the dimension-ordered routing is not imposed.) In this paper, we present a scheme to find an embedding of a complete binary tree into a 3-dimensional mesh of size no larger than 1.27 times the optimum with link congestion one while using dimension-ordered routing.

Today the web-based learning management information systems are developed as forms of many ordered learning information systems acting up to the personal characteristics, but the previous systems have difficulty in their mutual working, maintaining, and repairing between the systems, because of their one-sided "push" method or reuse of the contents. Also they were not managed together having the dissimilar learning management systems each. Therefore, I made up for the weak points of the previous systems and embodied the international standard SCORM-based ordered learning management information systems. After adapting to sequencing contents, all systems are supplied; giving lectures, solving the problems, evaluating the learners and the function of successive personalization learning based on the result of the learner evaluation systems.
