This study was tried for the improvement of software process ability of the software firms, and analyzed empirically the impact that a software process infrastructure level influences on the software process level and process performance. The questionnaire were developed and data were collected from the process improvement correspondences or project quality managers of the 78 software firms. The result was shown that management-organization infrastructure was composed of software process improvement organization's role and activity, process standard and education, management system and supporting, management guides and procedures. And organization's standard development procedure or criteria, process asset, process support tools were included in technical infrastructure. This study provides that some components of software process infrastructure had an significant influence on the process level, process infrastructure management level, and software process performance.
A significant body of information systems research is concerned with user participation as a means to improve user satisfaction within systems development. In spite of the many studies in this area, findings are not consistent or cumulative. One of the reasons for this is not to be considered the type of systems. Most research are focusing on traditional system development under the mainframe environment instead of under end-user based environment like web-based information system or ERP. End-user based environment requires user's strong initiatives in the system development life cycle. It means the user\`s simple participation is not enough and user-led-development is more appropriate for the system success. This paper can call this new concept is end-user joint work which means user has to participate in the system development as a co-developer. This paper investigates how the end-user joint work contributes end-user satisfaction and two variables in particular-job complexity and technical competence-moderate the outcomes of end-user joint work Analysis of 112 independent systems development projects indicated that end-user joint work has a direct relationship with end-user satisfaction. In addition, the two variables were found to moderate key roles on this relationship. That is, the strength of this relationship depended on the level of these factors.
Venture business plays a great role in creating national competitive power in every country. In particular, software venture business can mostly belong to manufacturing business, and takes the top seat of core industry as the basis of globalization, informatization and localization as well as the driving force of national competitive power. However, software venture business still has some risks in the whole area of business administration including the process of business starting. There are also problems to be solved in such areas as manager's ability, leadership, talent, level of technical development, marketing channel, recruiting of marketing specialists, financial plan and fund raising. In this respect, this study divides 102 software venture businesses into two; business in the stage of growth and matured business through the analysis of questionnaire and analyzes their present managerial conditions according to their characteristics after classifying them into four categories such as general management, technical development, marketing, finance and accounting. Therefore, this study attempts to provide the basic data useful for business activities of software venture business from now on. The results are as follows; First, it can be judged that software venture businesses make efforts for their technical development in their character, and that they make a great investment in research and development. Consequently, it can be believed that this kind of investment must be continued in the future. Second, it can be seen that they are not much interested in marketing and its manpower. In fact, software venture businesses develop products technically at the risk of their life, while marketing plays an important role in the continuity of business. Thus, it is necessary for them to invest in the supplement of manpower in marketing. Third, it is observed that they generally have some difficulties in raising money from outside. By the way, it. is believed that this problem will be solved by appealing to the persons interested such as investors and creditors, if evaluation system would be developed more exquisitely so that their accounting and technical value may be appraised.

The KSLV-II project with high difficulties technically requires thorough technical management during long-term life cycle more than 10 years for launching into space. The TRL is a quantitative indicator developed by NASA widely used all over the world to measure technology maturity of a system development objectively and consistently. The TRL is also used to make sure technology level and to establish a future direction in the KSLV-II project. The TRL has advantage enable to identify a technology level through quantitative indicators. However, it takes a lot of efforts such as trials and errors, time and cost to apply it to the project considering the project environments, and stakeholder needs. These include not only to establish TRL management plan from ideal, conceptual and abstractive standards/guidelines such as NASA's, but also to construct TRL management environment enable to apply and manage harmoniously. In the KSLV-II project, it is required to figure out current technology level and technology development trend in the future, to access conveniently, to share related data in real time, and to update periodically for the comprehensive TRL management. From the reason above, the TRL management environment was built by using the systems engineering tool already has been used for other system management data such as requirements in the project. It also could be accomplished a practical management basis of systems engineering from the traceability among system management data including TRL. In this paper, case study results are introduced to manage the TRL for the space launch vehicle using the systems engineering tool in the KSLV-II project.

Today's requirements for print-press runnability and print quality demand an optimised absorption and adhesion of printing ink on the paper surface. Modern coating concepts for high glossing offset grades use ultra fine pigments, whereas binder level has continuously been decreased to a minimum in recent years to achieve the highest possible sheet gloss development and for economical reasons. Both the ultra fine pigments and the reduced binder levels lead in many cases to a faster ink setting rate. On the other hand, matt paper grades use relatively coarse pigments leading to a slow ink setting compared to the high glossing papers. Both too fast and too slow ink setting properties implicate drawbacks in print quality and print press runnability. The mechanisms behind the interactions between ink and coating have been presented in many previous publications. The purpose of this study was to determine and quantify how the ink setting rate is influenced by pigment system (GCC and GCC/clay blends), latex level and latex properties in the topcoat of double coated sheet fed offset paper. The roles of binder level and type in the precoat were also assessed. The effect of calendering (temperature and pressure) was studied with one formulation. The resulting ink setting characteristics were tested using three different laboratory testing instruments. The correlation amongst the different laboratory testing methods is discussed. The results show that by varying the latex properties, the pigment system and/or latex addition level, the ink tack development of ink applied to a topcoat pigment system can be significantly influenced. It can be slowed down as often desired with ultra fine pigments or speeded up in the case of coarse pigments. Purpose One of the success factors of information system projects is to reduce requirements uncertainty through user engagement. So, in many recent IS development environment, a business analyst or business analysts are positioned between users and developers to drive user engagement to reduce requirements uncertainty. But, there are few studies that research about the competencies of business analysts for training and staffing. So, this study analyzed which underlying and practical competencies that positively influence user engagement are required. Design/methodology/approach The level of underlying and practical competencies required for business analysts and the level of user enagement in the IS development environment are collected through the survey. And, the causal relationship between the construct concepts which are underlying competencies, practical competencies and the user participation is analzed through the PLS analysis. Findings The results of this study show that the practial competencies of business analysts that positively have a significant impact on user engaement were studied as requirements development skills. Additionally, the underlying competencies of business analysts which have a significant impact on requirements development skills were examined as business knowledge and interaction skills rather than technical knowledge and communication skills.
During maintenance or construction works in or at the tracks of railways, high risks for passengers and railway staff, especially for the workers on the construction site exist. The high risks result out of the movement of rail vehicles, like trains or construction vehicles, which must be faced by using any available technical and operational technologies for securing them against the environment. Therefore, it is necessary to evaluate the level of protection continuously and to identify new and innovative methods and technologies for the protection of the gang (construction worker, machines and material). Especially on construction sites at line sections with two or more parallel tracks but also with single tracks, there are still a lot of incidents and accidents mostly with seriously injured persons or fatalities. These were mainly gang members that breach the railway-loading gage. By using proper warning or protection systems, the avoidance of such accidents must be achieved. The latest developments. in gang protection systems concern on the one hand fixed barriers in the middle between the construction site and the operated track and on the other hand construction vehicles equipped with automatic warning systems. The disadvantage of such protection methods is that the gang can be warned against an approaching train but a monitoring of the gang members cannot be performed. Only one part of a potential dangerous situation will be detected. If the gang members will overhear the acoustic warning signal of the security staff and the workers will not leave the danger zone in the track, the driver of the approaching train had no chance to react to the dangerous situation. An accident is often inevitable. While the detection of acoustic warning signals by the gang members working on a construction site is very difficult, the acoustical planning of an automatic warning system has to be designed for an acoustic short range level of one meter besides the construction vehicle. The decision about the use of today's technical warning system (fixed systems, automatic warning systems, etc.) must be geared to the technical feasibility and the level of safety which is needed. Criteria for decision guidance to block a track should be developed by danger estimation and economical variables. To realize the actual jurisdiction and to minimize the hazards of railway operations by the use of construction vehicles near the tracks further developments are needed. This means, that the warning systems have to be enhanced to systems for protection, which monitor the realization of the warning signal as a precondition for giving a movement authority to a train. This method can protect against accidents caused by predictable wrongdoing. The actual state of the art technique of using a collective warning combined with additional security staff is no longer acceptable. Therefore, the Institute of Transportation System of the German Aerospace Center in Braunschweig (Germany) will develop a gang warning and protection system based upon imaging methods, with optical sensors such as video in visible and invisible ranges, radar, laser, and other. The advantage of such a system based on the possibility to monitor both the gang itself and the railway-loading gauge either of the parallel track or of the same track still in use. By monitoring both situations, the system will be able to generate a warning message for the approaching train, that there are obstacles in the track, so that the train can be stopped to prevent an accident. And also the gang workers will be warned, while they breach their area.

The use of unmanned combat systems is of interest for future battlefield. Advanced techniques are being actively studied to build fully autonomous unmanned systems. However, there are technical, ethical and legal limitations for the fully autonomous unmanned combat systems. In addition, a remote controlled system is necessary so far in order to prepare for situations where fully autonomous unmanned systems fail to function properly. Thus, a procedure of developing operational requirements in system level is proposed and interface requirements of unmanned combat vehicles for remote control are described in this study.
A technology for inevitable integration as well as an ability of development of technology according to professional fields is needed and supported for securing technology in the era of international competition. In other words, advanced business technique and technology applied for streamlining of management are required and the relations between operations and systems could be clarified. This paper reviews the course for development of process used in the systems engineering and business administration and tries to seek the way of training professionals in a variety of fields for elevating domestic technologies in different fields to the international level. Particularly, it tries to get the way of overcome the present technical restriction that depends on imports through matching a hazard analysis method with the method above mentioned. Especially, it tries to present the way of contributing to securing software safety on the basis of the importance of development of process model that takes the life cycle into consideration.

This study focuses on the growth and development of small and medium industries of Korea, orienting to the development of up-to-date technology from now on and bolstering their competitive ability in the rapidly changing international markets.
