Along with the increasing number of disabled people, number of handicapped people who spends most of their time indoors increase. Their disabilities constrain them in social activities and bind them to indoors. But living environment built for normal people are many cases inevitably inconvenient for disabled people. People realizes that housing renovation is necessary, however problems such as financial difficulties must be solved in advance. House renovations, to create comfortable and independent living conditions for disabled people, various thesis and documents were analyzed, along with survey through questionnaire. Results are as following. (1) House renovation is necessary, due to the increasing number of disabled people and inconvenience of former house form. (2) Integrated or specialized house renovation manual is required to satisfy the different need derived from extent and type of disabilities. (3) Central and local government's policy for continued support is necessary. (4) House renovation plan for homeless disabled people is necessary. (5) Separate research on the size of space, type of space, efficiency is necessary. (6) Separate house renovation plan considering the people who lives with disabled people is required. (7) Disabilities are not personal but societal problem. This paper is to uncover all the problems in the house renovation for disabled people. It will be used to develop house renovation manual in the future. Therefore, this paper does not deal with the actual house renovation plans.

In view of the fact that modern society has a range of origins causing disability, the population of acquired crippled is escalating. Hence, it is obligatory to facilitate every visitors can utilize facility equitably because public libraries are being changed to compounded service area. Particularly, it is urgent to manage space planning and accommodation by considerate the requirement traits of disabled who are a susceptible social group about knowledge information. This study analysis installation of toilet, the inevitable factor of hygiene facility, for disabled equipped in four different public libraries in Daegu with related on the standards of establishment for prolonged stay through advanced research and legislation connected on handicapped. This study provides foundation data to establish construction plan for disabled to alleviate inconvenience of taking service of public library, and to compose satisfying hygiene facility.

Residents of apartment complex make various attempts for their community. However, a community space in current apartment complex is planned uniformly without consideration of residents' diversity and the physical aid environment for aged people, children and the handicapped is in limited supply. Community spaces in apartment complexes satisfy various residents but need further study about this. The purpose of this study intends to evaluate the applicability of Universal design of community in apartment complex. Research was done examining 12 different apartment complexes in Seoul, which were all built after the year 2002. Researched community spaces were the senior citizen's center an indoor exercise area and a preschool which were evaluated and measured by passage areas, ramps, stairways and entrances. As a result, the study found that application of Universal design of community spaces in apartment complexes were evaluated relatively low. The environment of community space in apartment complex is not considered the blind, deaf, disabled, children and aged people because the application of these categories doesn't be enforced a law. Hence, Universal design regulations and design guidelines were established to satisfy residents of apartment complex.

It is a enforcement system to prevent collisions caused by unmanageable parking that may occur in parking lots. There are handicapped people who can get up in parking lots, general vehicles parked in electric vehicle parking areas, and vehicles parked in two lanes. The vehicle above is detected and notified through the deep learning object recognition function. By using a picture or video of an unmanageable parking situation as learning data, the learning data is produced so that the situation can be recognized, and the situation is recognized to determine the presence or absence of unmanageable parking. The purpose is to reduce collisions between parking lot users by making the environment of the parking lot more comfortable.

Orthognathic surgery, ie, the surgical correction of congenital and acquaired anormalities of the jaws, is currently a field of vigorous activity among oral surgeons. Surgical correction of maxillofacial deformities benefits the patient both psychologically and functionally. Facial mutilation may precipitate adverse psychologic effects. Function is frequently impaired by malrelation of the jaws. In addition, speech, specifically articulation, is often handicapped in patient with severe jaw deformities. Therefore, in dealing with these patient, above mentioned problem should be considered deliberately. In this regard, the authors have treated 2 cases of mandible defect caused by gunshot and explosives with iliac bone graft. In both cases, the patient had Tantalum plate on defect area. But it became lose and gave functional disturbances. So, the authors have removed Tantalum plate and performed bone transplantation with autogenous soild iliac bone graft on that area with good results.

This research proposes a method to provide visually impaired persons with better medical services and to mitigate their difficulties in taking medicines in their daily lives. Normally, pharmaceutical information are distributed in a form of printed materials, but it is not accessible by those who are visually impaired. Since persons who are visually impaired by accidents or diseases are required to take more types of medicines compared to other handicapped persons, and thus it is an important matter to let them have appropriate medicines at the right time. Although there are several web sites which are run by the Ministry of Health and Welfare providing pharmaceutic information, the information on those web sites are duplicated and some of the menus are similar, and thus giving users difficulties and discomfort in finding appropriate pharmaceutical information. Since ontology can define and describe the resource in an information system more clearly, in this research, an ontology consists of pharmaceutical information and knowledge on medicines is constructed to give patients more precise information more efficiently. Also, a service in which users can have voice guidance on pharmaceutical information retrieve from the ontology-based information system by contacting RFID sticker on the medicine to the reader.

This study was to suggest the proper level of touch sensibility for twenties while flicking touch phones. A rapid prototype of $480{\times}800$ pixel size was developed for the experiment. Participants were 20 undergraduates, not visually and physically handicapped in using touch phones. 15 different modes, with each mode changing in velocity when flicking the prototype were randomly presented to each subject. The subjects were asked to score what they felt in each mode on a 1-to-6 Likert scale. The data was analyzed by the one-way ANOVA procedure. Each mode showed significant differences in 8 representative emotions except for exclusivity feeling and fresh feeling. Each velocity mode was scaled by the multidimensional scaling technique. Then, vector coordinates in each emotion were obtained by simple regression analysis. 15 velocity modes and each emotion were joint-plotted by the MDS, PROXSCAL. The findings in this study could be basic data for studying affective touch sensibilities in multiple ways.

Number of disabled persons in Japan that have been registered in 2011 was about 2.5 million people, it is continuously increasing. Given the potential failure considering the aging, to increase more and more. This fault is open, and how to use the facilities, we examined Disabled Facilities DB how to build, how to take advantage. In the development of information technology, the use of technology to increase smartphone, fused evolves, disabled and was able to get the information easily. It is possible to take advantage of this amenities DB, to ensure convenient facilities for handicapped and provide equipment and position information of the user easily by using the audio position.

Spasticity is the most troublesome problems in the management in cerebral palsy. The purpose of this study was to observe the effect of FES to spasticity. 8 cerebral palsy children were selected for this study. Assessment was carried out before treatment for obtain baseline measurement of spasticity and reassessment were carried out at after 10th., 20th. treatment sessions and 24hours after treatment. The results of this study were as following that MAS scores were significantly reduced after 10th and 20th after treatment compared with pre-treatment. MAS scores were significantly reduced after 20th compared with pre-treatment. These results indicated that FES appears to reduce significantly MAS scores and maintained 24hours after treatment compared with pre-treatment.

While attention has been paid to 'core information poor' with low-level information literacy, public libraries are to be social agencies to set policies, and are to provide them with cultural experiences and services as well. In this regard, this study intends to shed light on the current status of public library services for such 'information-poor' as the urban poor, the handicapped, and the aged in Busan metro area. Exploring the statistical data, observations and interviews, the study attempts to illustrate current status and trends. It, specifically, focuses on the following characteristics of information service strategies: types of services provided; infra-structure including facilities and specialized collection; and, barriers and limitation of library and information use.
