Recently in order to ensure future competitiveness in schooling a paradigm shift which focuses on key competency is demanded. In these circumstances, there are lots of researches on competency in other subjects. However, in informatics the number of researches relate to competency is lacking. Thus, the purpose of this study is to develop competency model for teacher of informatics in high school. For achieving this purpose, we develop research methods and procedures, and conduct several researches such as Focus Group Interview and surveys. Overall research process of this study is as follows: First, we develop competencies of informatics teachers, which consist of 6 categories, 17 competencies, and 66 behavioral indexes as a draft. Second, we verify the content validity of the competencies through FGI, and revise the competencies into 5 categories, 11 competency-units, and 159 behavioral indexes. Third, we conduct a survey for verification of the revised content validity again to informatics teachers, professors and researches. As a result, the major findings of the survey reveal that the Conbarch's ${\alpha}$ of each competency-units is over .9, and that the appropriateness of all items is over 3.5. According to this result, we confirm our competency model for teacher of informatics in secondary education.

The purpose of this study is to suggest the integrated entrepreneurial competency models that reflect critical entrepreneurial competencies that entrepreneurs should have at different stages, thereby enhancing the success rate of ventures. To accomplish the purpose, this study developed the hypotheses about the positive effects of entrepreneurial competencies on business performance, and the moderating effect of learning competency to strengthen the relationship between entrepreneurial competencies and business performance. The results of this study are as follows. First, the technological functional competency of entrepreneurial teams, the resource utilization and business planning competency of entrepreneurs in the early stage of business development were found to significantly affect both non-financial and technological performance. The opportunity recognition competency has a significantly positive effect on non-financial performance. In addition, it is analyzed that learning competency significantly moderated the relationship between entrepreneurial competencies(technological functional, resource utilization) and non-financial performance. The moderating effect of learning competency between business planning competency and technological performance was also found to be significant. Second, leadership and resource acquisition competency of entrepreneurs in the late stage of ventures have significantly positive effects on both non-financial and technological performance. The strategic competency has a significantly positive effect on non-financial performance. It was also found that the moderating effect of learning competency between strategic competency and non-financial performance was significant. Finally, the results show that both non-financial and technical performance of NTBVs are significant determinants of financial performance.

ASP (Application service provider) as a new type of information systems service has been popular recently and has taken a much attention of information systems professionals and researchers. One stream of the research on ASP performed by IS community dealt with utilization and benefits of ASP systems use. The other researchers argue the importance of ASP vendors' capability to provide users with appropriate services. Kern, Lacity and Willcock (2002) summarized the components of core competency of service providers based on their extensive case studies on application service providers. Also, Levina and Ross (2003) developed a value delivery process of application service Providers in their case study This study is developing Prepositions and an empirical model based on the theory of core competency from strategic management study. The dimension of core competency is composed of management competency, technical service competency and customer service competency. Each dimension is made up of competency items derived from previous studies and adapted by professionals in ASP industry. The validity of the dimensions and items in each dimension has been checked with factor analytic method for empirical test. The core competency dimensions are correlated with performance factors of application service providers including growth of revenue, asset and customer base.
The changing nature of work suggests that people may face the prospect of a career choice including of paid employment, non-work and self-employment, of which the latter implies scope for entrepreneurial activity. The goal of this study is to view the impact of entrepreneurial competency, social support, entrepreneurial role model as an affect to increase the entrepreneurial intention of adult with the purpose of a second career choice. Also, the mediating effect of entrepreneurial mentor is verified. As research methodology, a research model and a hypothesis were set based on prior research and the research hypothesis was proven through a structured survey questionnaire. SPSS 24.0 was used for data analysis. Analysis results are as follows: First, out of entrepreneurial competency, job competency and funding capability had a positive effect on entrepreneurial intentions. Second, entrepreneurial role model had a positive effect on entrepreneurial intentions. Third, in the relationship between entrepreneurial competency, social support, entrepreneurial role model and entrepreneurship intentions, the mediating effect of mentor had significant job competency→mentor→entrepreneurship intention, funding capability→mentor→entrepreneurship intention, entrepreneurial role→mentor→entrepreneurship intention.

This study analyzed the effect of the competency factors (resources and education competency)on the performance of university-industry cooperation by characteristic of universities through multiple regression model using 202 datasets empirically. The input factors variables used in a research model were characteristics of universities (research oriented/education-oriented universities and public/private universities) and competency factors (resource competency and education competency) of university-industry cooperation. The performance factors of university-industry cooperation were composed of the outcomes of intellectual knowledge asset, technology transfer, spin-off and financial profits. The empirical results show that research-oriented universities and public universities produce a uniter performance of university-industry cooperation than education-oriented universities and private universities, respectively and the competency factors of university-industry cooperation such as resource and education competency also have a positive effect on the performance of university-industry cooperation.
Knowledge management is an innovation paradigm to improve organizations competitiveness by strengthening organization's knowledge competency. Most organizations which have implemented knowledge management have experienced various difficulties in improving organization's knowledge competency, and so they have strived to find solutions. For the problems, it may be considered as an effective approach to link between knowledge management and human resource development. This study introduces two real cases adopting such approach focusing on competency development and career development which are primary areas of human resource development, and presents a model structuring core mechanisms which can be found in the cases. The model focuses on creating synergy effects between knowledge management and workforces' competency development. The cases and the model are expected to be helpful in enhancing organizational competency and the performance of knowledge management.

This empirical analysis investigates the impact of consultant competency and project manager (PM) competency on business performance. Two hundred and twenty four chief executive officers and executive members at small and medium sized firms in the manufacturing sector were surveyed, yielding several outcomes. First, consultant competency positively affects consulting performance. Second, consultant competency positively affects business performance. Third, PM competency does not have a significant influence on consulting performance. Fourth, PM competency does not have a significant impact on business performance. Fifth, consulting performance does not have a significant effect on business performance. Finally, regarding the mediation effect of consulting performance on the influence of consultant competency and PM competency on business performance, consulting performance had no significant impact. Thus, expertise and insight are crucial for a consulting business to enable the growth of professional consultants. Furthermore, this study is expected to enhance the consulting performance of small and medium sized manufacturing firms by providing useful data to consultants and project managers when carrying out consulting projects.

This study has designed to find out the effects of a project-based flipped learning model at universities on the self-directed learning ability, the self-leadership, and the learning competency. For the study, two procedures were performed. First, a flipped learning model for a project-based learning was developed on the basis of the literature reviews. The flipped learning model has three different steps: the pre-class, the in-class, and the post-class. In the pre-class, instructors provide mini-core courses using various technologies for learners outside the class. The in-class is the step to check whether learners prepare their learning or not. Also, in this step, the in-death learning and the teaching-learning process by interaction between instructors and learners would be performed. In the post-class, learners would be able to sustain the extended learning to develop the learning tasks and activities after flipped learning class. Through this step, the learners could be experienced integrated thinking and application, documentation and management, as well as sharing and spread of their learning. Second, the effectiveness of the developed flipped learning model on the self-direction, the self-leadership, and the learning competency was examined. The quantitative research method and the qualitative research method were used for this study. The results indicated that the flipped learning model showed improvement on the self-direction, the self-leadership, and the learning competency.

Purpose : Establishing competency in person-centered care is crucial for providing high-quality nursing care in diverse clinical settings and adapting to changing roles in different situations. This study aimed to explore the level of transcultural self-efficacy, cultural empathy, and person-centered care competency among nursing students, as well as identify the factors influencing their person-centered care competency. The findings will serve as fundamental data to enhance person-centered care competency. Methods : A questionnaire consisting of items on general characteristics, person-centered care competency, transcultural self-efficacy, and cultural empathy was administered to 175 nursing students in G city. Data were collected from March 5, 2023, to March 20, 2023. The collected data were analyzed using the SPSS 23.0 program. Pearson's correlation coefficients were used to examine the correlation among transcultural self-efficacy, cultural empathy, and person-centered care competency. Multiple regression analysis was employed to determine the factors influencing person-centered care competency. Results : The person-centered care competency scores were above the average level and varied according to department satisfaction (F=13.79, p<.001), subjective well-being (t=3.34, p=.015), and interpersonal relations (F=5.74, p=.001). Person-centered care competency exhibited a significant positive correlation with cultural empathy (r=.51, p<.001) and transcultural self-efficacy (r=.49, p<.001). Regression analysis confirmed that cultural empathy (β=.39, p<.001) and transcultural self-efficacy (β=.22, p<.001) were influential factors for nursing students' person-centered care competency, with the model explaining 37 % of the variance. Conclusion : Cultural empathy and transcultural self-efficacy are significant factors influencing the person-centered care competency of nursing students. It is crucial to encourage nursing students to develop person-centered care competency by fostering cultural empathy and transcultural self-efficacy. Further research is needed to identify additional factors affecting person-centered care competency among nursing students. Additionally, the development of education programs aimed at enhancing person-centered care competency is necessary.
Purpose: The purpose of this study was to construct and test a hypothetical model of clinical decision-making ability of nurses based on the Decision Making Process model and the Cognitive Continuum theory. Methods: The data were collected from nurses working at 11 hospitals in Busan, Daejeon, and South Gyeongsang Province from June 30 to August 1, 2017. Finally, the data from 323 nurses were analyzed. Results: The goodness-of-fit of the final model was at a good level ($x^2/df=2.46$, GFI=.87, AGFI=.84, IFI=.90, CFI=.90, SRMR=.07, RMSEA=.07) and 6 out of 10 paths of the model were supported. The clinical decision-making ability was both directly and indirectly affected by task complexity and indirectly affected by experiences, autonomy, and work environment. Specifically, it was strongly directly affected by analytical competency but was insignificantly affected by intuitive competency. These variables accounted for 66.0% of clinical decision-making ability. Conclusion: The nurses' clinical decision-making ability can be improved by improving their analytical competency. Therefore, it is necessary to organize nursing work, create a supportive work environment, and develop and implement various education programs.
