National curriculum is very important for the future of nation. So, continuous efforts are needed to improve the national curriculum. This study examined the issues and the problems related with the 7th optional mathematics curriculum, and gave the message about th: methods of implementation. For this, we analyzed the result of the questionnaire survey which consisted in the question about the 7th optional mathematics curriculum. 264 high school mathematics teachers are participated in this survey. We found the result that the 7th optional mathematics curriculum has the problem in contents and management. So, this study gave not only the problem but also the various concrete methods for management of the 7th optional mathematics curriculum. We hope that mathematics education members research and argue about the optional mathematics curriculum for next curriculum.

우리나라 초${\cdot}$중${\cdot}$고등학교 확률 및 통계영역 교육은 1997년 교육 인적 자원부 고시로 제 7차 수학과 교육과정이 개정되어 현재 초${\cdot}$중${\cdot}$고등학교 현장에서 시행되고 있다. 교과서 전수 조사를 통하여 제 7차 수학과 교육과정에 따른 실용수학 및 수학 I 확률 및 통계단원을 분석하였고 제 6차 수학과 교육과정과 비교, 검토하였다.

본고는 제6차, 제7차 및 2007 개정 교육과정의 중등 수학 교과서 180권에 나타난 공학 도구의 활용 현황을 내용 영역, 활용된 공학 도구 종류, 활용 방식의 관점에서 분석하고 시사점을 찾고자 한 것이다. 분석 결과 제6차 교과서에서는 주로 대수 및 해석 영역에서 계산기나 프로그래밍 언어와 같은 간단한 공학 도구의 기능 소개 및 보조 도구형태로 활용되었고, 그 빈도수가 작았음을 알 수 있었다. 그러나 제7차와 2007 개정 교육과정에 들어오면서 대수, 해석, 기하 및 통계 내용 영역에서 비교적 고르게 다양한 공학 도구가 사용되었음을 알 수 있었다. 특히 제7차에서는 인터넷의 활용이 두드러지게 증가하였다가 2007 개정 교과서에서는 많지 않음을 알 수 있었다. 제6차에서는 의도된 탐구 유형의 활용 장면이 거의 없었지만, 제7차 및 2007 개정 교과서에서는 그와 같은 활용 장면이 증가하고 있었음을 알 수 있었다. 그러나 학생중심의 탐구 학습 유형의 활용 장면은 매우 적어 앞으로 늘릴 필요가 있음을 알 수 있었다.

학습자의 수준 고려, 학습자에 교과선택권 부여. 학교의 재량활동범위 확대 등으로 그 특징을 요약되는 제 7차 수준별 교육과정이 2003 학년도부터 고등학교 수학과의 선택중심교육과정이 적용되면서 교육과정의 취지와 다른 양상이 드러나고 있다. 본 고에서는 제 7차 수학과 교육과정의 성격과 특징, 교육과정 적용을 고등학교 선택중심 교육과정을 중심으로 예상된 문제점과 새롭게 드러난 국면을 살펴보고 그 원인을 2005 학년도 대학입학 제도와 관련시켜 분석한다. 특히 고등학교 선택중심 교육과정의 구성과 선택교과의 특성, 2003 학년도부터 적용되는 선택교과의 적용 실태, 2005학년도 수학능력시험 수리영역과 대학 입학전형정책이 제 7차 고등학교 수학과 교육과정의 적용에 미치는 영향을 논의하고, 현 상황에서 제 7차 교육과정의 효율적인 적용을 위하여 수능체제, 대학입시정책, 연수 등에 관한 실질적인 제안을 제시한다.

제7차에서 2007년 개정 수학과 교육과정으로 이행하면서 이에 따라 개발된 교과서를 2009년부터 실행하게 된다. 개정안으로 이행함에 따라 수학과 교육내용의 일부는 학년 간에 이동하였다. 이로 인하여 교육과정 이행 시기 속에 있는 특정 학년도 학생들은 별도의 조치가 없이 도입된다면 일부 내용의 탈락이 예상된다. 본 논문은 2007년 개정 교육과정 이행 시기에 있는 학년별 수학과 교육내용의 이동을 분석하고 이행 시기에 있는 특정 학년도 학생들이 겪게 되는 학년 간 내용 이동에 따른 문제점을 분석하였다. 첫째로, 2007년 개정 수학과 교육과정 이행에 따라 학년 간 이동하는 수학과 교육내용을 영역별로 살펴보고, 둘째로, 2007년 개정 교육과정의 실시 시기에 따라서 특정 학년도 학생들에게 나타나게 될 학년 간 이동에 따른 교육 내용의 탈락을 분석하였다.

This study looked into the procedures of and the status on the implementation of the new 7th national curriculum at the elementary school level, especially focused on the subjects of schools and the teachers for the actual curriculum implementation. More specifically the study examined, 1) the degree to which the particular innovation(i.e., student-centered, flexible and autonomous school-based curriculum, etc.) is be-ing implemented as planned; and 2) how it is being implemented. It conducted a situation-oriented analysis in cooperation with three local boards of education. Classroom observations, teacher interviews, questionnaires for teachers and supervisors were utilized and the three major criteria of interpreting the result were the three core concepts of the 7th national curriculum, that is, the degree of "(1)reorganization, (2)student-centeredness, and (3)diversification/specialization" of the curriculum. Detailed documentation on the processes of the local bureaus of education and on the classroom practices are made in order to provide schools and policy makers with relevant and practical suggestions for further improvement of curriculum implementation.

To learn number system is a basic thing in school mathematics. In this paper, we analyze how number system is introduced in the 7th national curriculum and text books according to it. We found that the method of introducing number system is quite different from the former curriculum and former text books. There are many negative effects on the transition when compared with those of United States of America. There are many gaps between elementary school mathematics and middle school mathematics about levels and skills to deal with numbers. It is desirable to distinguish the negative sign from subtraction and to keep the concepts of commutativity and associativity of operations from the beginning. We also suggest to change the introducing timing and extension methods of number system in 7th grade mathematics.

A partial amendment of probability and statistics education in Korea has carried out from January, 2007. We have compared between the patial amendment and 7th national mathematics curriculum. Some ideas are proposed to achieve goals of the revision; textbooks of mathematics are well supervised by well-trained statisticians and teachers are periodically trained for the statistical knowledge.

본 논문은 수학과 교육과정에서 최근 지속적으로 강조되어 온 문제해결과 관련하여 제7차 초등학교 교육과정에서 제시하고 있는 내용을 살펴보고, 이와 관련하여 현재 개정 시안에서 논의되고 있는 내용을 분석하였다. 또한 수학 교과서와 익힘책에서 교육과정의 기본적인 취지를 어떻게 구현하고 관련 세부 내용을 어떻게 구체화하고 있는지 알아보기 위해, 문제해결전략, 문제영역, 문제유형별로 문제해결 관련 내용을 상세하게 분석하였다. 이를 토대로 문제해결과 관련하여 차기 교육과정 및 교과용 도서 개발에 기초적인 자료 및 시사점을 제공하고자 한다.
