의류소재 이미지 분류에 따른 직물 특성 연구 (A Study of Fabric Properties for Classified on Apparel Material Image)

  • Textile fabrication affected by consumer and selected by fashion designer. The textile fabrication has been made not only by introducing the newly developed fiber but also by modifying the existing textile materials to impart sensibility to them. Consumers choose but to their sensibility of textile material and fashion trend. On purpose in this research is find out have influence on textile image. Wool fabrics have been in use from early age in northern Europe. Recognition of the role of the morphological structure, surface properties, chemical composition, acid-base characteristics in the chemical treatment of wool led to quantum advances in the fields of setting, shrink-resisting, chemical modification, and internal fiber cross-linking. Mechanical finishing to develop the handle, drape, and surface characteristics of the fabric is at least as important as chemical or wet finishing. Result showed that to have variety sensibility and trend theme in wool fabrics are tweed, venetian, serge, gabardine and melton.

Adobe Illustrator 9.0을 이용한 의류용 텍스타일 디자인 개발-전통문양의 캐릭터화 사례를 응용하여- (A Study on Apparel Textile Design Process using Adobe Illustrator 9.0-Applying Pre-Developed Korean Traditional Motifs-)

  • This study is focused on apparel textile design process applying pre-developed Korean traditional motifs. Since the fusion culture is in trend, Orientalism or Oriental look is the center of attraction in fashion. Under the circumstances, developing the traditional resources as sophisticated Korean-style is the goal of the BK21 team. This study makes a move to achieve the goal. As a method of accomplishing this study, 4 trendy motif samples such as stylized letter, butterfly, peony, and female face are selected after investigating fashion magazines and fashion related websites. As a result, pre-developted Korean traditional motifs are elected and revised using Adobe Illustrator 9.0. The newly revised motifs are applied to the textile pattern repeat form. The completed textile patterns are simulated on the simulated on the shawls to show their usages as one of souvenir items since the year of 2001 is the year of “Visit Korea”.

댕기의 조형적 형태미를 활용한 텍스타일 디자인 및 패션문화상품 디자인 제안 (Suggested Design for Textiles and Fashion Cultural Products Applied with Formative Beauty in Daenggi)

  • This study examined the formative beauty found in daenggi, which is a traditional feminine hair ornament. For research methods, both Adobe's Illustrator CS3 and Photoshop CS3 were used as designing tools and literatures on daenggi. Sixteen pieces of work were prepared by applying rotations of up, down, right, and left, repeat, symmetry, and overlap from the basic motif. For the scarf design, the rotational or diagonally symmetrical arrangement was repeated in order to maximize the outstanding features for each textile expression or was designed freely using one repetition unit (a whole scarf). Diverse images were expressed for the pendant design via usage of a basic motif and its variation. In addition, this work would suggest another alternative for apparel application by using the textile design for a simple one-piece dress.

텍스타일 패턴 유형에 따른 세대간 감성 이미지 차이에 관한 연구 (Analysis of Sensibility Image for Textile Pattern Design Based on the Generation)

  • This study is to measure and evaluate the sensibility image for textile pattern design based on the generation. Ten patterns classified by a practical survey on the market are presented. A questionnaire has 14 sensibility related words scaled by 7 point semantic differential method. The practical research is performed for 200 women screened by sensibility test for individual character analysis based on the generation. Each subject is answered by a face-to-face interview method to improve survey's accuracy, For statistical test about differences in treatment means, SAS package is used and analyzed through ANOVA, significance probability and mean, In summary, this paper has proposed the sensibility image scale for apparel pattern design to satisfy individual sensibility, The results of this study can be effectively applied to develop textile pattern design based on human sensibility.

사용자 경험 중심의 섬유일체형 온도조절 스마트재킷 개발과 착용성 평가 (Development and Wearability Evaluation of All-Fabric Integrated Smart Jacket for a Temperature-regulating System Based on User Experience Design)

  • This study aims to develop an all-fabric integrated smart jacket in order to create a temperature-regulating system based on a user experience design. For this research, previous research technologies of a textile switch interface and a temperature-regulating system were utilized and a unifying technology for the all-fabric integrated smart jacket was developed which can provide the appropriate temperature environments to the human body. A self-heating textile was applied at the areas of the back and hood in the final tested jacket, and an embroidery circuit was developed in the form of a rectangle in the back and in both ears of the hood, taking into account the pattern of the jacket part where it was be applied and the embroidery production method. The textile switch interface was designed in a three-layer structure: an embroidery circuit line in a conductive yarn, an interval material, and a conductive sensing material, and it was made to work with the input and output sensors through the multiple input method. After the all-fabric integrated smart jacket was produced according to the pattern, all of the textile band lines for transmission were gathered and connected with a miniature module for controlling temperature and then integrated into the inside of the left chest pocket of the jacket. After the users put on this jacket, they were asked to assess the wearing satisfaction. Most of them reported a very low level of irritation and discomfort and said that the jacket was as comfortable as everyday clothing.

  • In order to develop "textile electrode - sensing clothing" which is a sort of smart clothing to measure electric activities of heart, we propose possible ways to develop textile electrode and design of sensing clothing, ultimately aiming to develop "ECG sensing clothing for lifestyle monitoring". Conventional sensors for measuring typical electric activities of heart keep certain distance between measuring electrodes to measure signals for electric activities of heart, but these sensors often cause inappropriate factors (e.g. motional artifacts, inconvenience of use, etc) for monitoring natural cardiac activities in our daily life. In addition, most of textile electrodes have made it difficult to collect data due to high impedance and unstable contact between skin and electrodes. To overcome these questions, we minimized distance between electrodes and skin to maximize convenience of use. And in order to complement contact between skin electrodes, we modified textile electrode's form and developed ways to design clothing. As a result, we could find out clinical significance by investigating possible associations of clinical electrocardiogram (ECG) with variation of distance between electrodes, and could also demonstrate clinically significant associations between textile electrode developed herein and clothing.

을미의제 군복제도의 서구화에서 보여진 수입 직물산업 동향 (Trends in Textile Import Industry amid Miltary Uniform Westernization under the Eulmi Reforms of Clothing Regulation)

  • This study aimed to clarify relationships between the westernization of military uniform systems and changes in the textile import industry during the Eulmi reforms of clothing regulation. For the goal, the study investigated the content and features of that had been enacted under the Eulmi reforms. It also examined the status of the textile import industry at the time, especially in relation to outer garments such as jackets or Eui, trousers or Go, and overcoats. Moreover, this study inspected how the above westernization changed the textile import industry. More specifically, the research analyzed the content of based on articles from the then state newsletter or 『Gwanbo』, and the then cabinet meeting or Euijeongbu's proceedings or 『Euiju』. Concerning the textile import industry, this study looked into relevant descriptions and trade statistics from 『KOPEИ(Hankukji)』, and analyzed changes in that industry in connection with the introduction of Western military uniform systems. As a result, this study found that increased imports of cotton fabrics during the Eulmi reforms of clothing regulation was correlated with surging demand for shirt or lining materials and increase in the use of Myeonyung following military uniform westernization. Similarly, an increase in silk fabric imports was an outcome of increased demand for lining materials. Also, the import growth of woolen fabrics was seemingly attributed to the use of Heuknasa and Heukyung as basic materials of military uniforms. Thus, military uniforms began to be made of fabrics, which hadn't been used before in the wake of westernization. This development brought changes in the textile import industry, which is supported by textile import statistics of the time. In conclusion, the westernization of military uniform systems under the Eulmi reforms of clothing regulation was a significant factor that changed the industry.

Study on Textile Patterns in the Film "In the Mood for Love" - Focused on qipao of heroine -

  • The retro fashion and orientalism have been the main trend in the fashion industry tram 2000 as the turning point tram the minimalism. In particular, the far eastern oriental ism, that is, Japanese orientalism had been rapidly spread from 2001. As the trend has been moving to Chinese orientalism from 2003, the fabrics with flower pattern prints and those imbued with Chinese orientalism that were popular in 1960 are the main stream in the textile industry at present. As keeping up with the current trend, this study analyzed the common features and differences between textile patterns with Chinese orientalism that are prevailing ai present and the textile patterns that were popular in 1960s through the film "In the Mood for Love" that told the story of people who immigrated from Shanghai to Hong Kong in 1960s. According to the analysis, the popular textile patterns in 1960s were splendid flower patterns, pop art and op art patterns. Such a trend was elegantly expressed as the textile pattern of Chinese orientalism using qipao in the film "In the Mood for Love".

경기도 섬유패션 산업의 대내·외 환경변화 분석을 통한 산업구조 고도화 정책방안 - 벤더와의 분업화체계 와해에 따른 근원적 현안의 해결 중심으로 - (Policy on Sophistication of Industrial Structure through Interior and Exterior Circumstantial Change Analysis of the Textile & Fashion Industry in Gyeonggi Province -Focused on Current Foundational Causes by Collapsing Specialization System with Vendors-)

  • In the textile industry located in Gyeonggi-do, 85% of small-sized firms have less than 10 employees; in addition, the most of them are characterized by a vendor relying specialization system that conducts foundry from the vendor that managed marketing, textile design development, and quality checks according to unit stream. The breakaway of these vendors accelerated over the last 7 years; however, industry survival is at stake because the specialization system and orders have collapsed. The following four main policies must be implemented to overcome industry hardship. Policies have been derived from survey and analysis (present condition and trends) from industrial statistics and related policies in advanced and developing countries. First, a policy to promote cooperation between small-sized foundry unit-streams. Second, unification of the marketing support function with a textile design and development support system. Third, the introduction of policy support-management system customized according to developmental stages (tall process${\rightarrow}$fabric production${\rightarrow}$sales${\rightarrow}$clothing production sales). Fourth, foundation of a control tower that puts these tasks in a vehicle and runs them and the division of roles with the central government. We must propel main tasks to manifest the developmental potential (develop eco-friend dyeing and processing technologies, change to the young next CEO in business environment, and grow the of knit market) of the Gyeonggi Textile Industry in a short period to present a condition where these four main policies are running.

국내 소재업체의 패션정보 수집 대상 선호 브랜드에 관한 연구 (Main Fashion Brands Subject to Investigation by the Textile Firms for the Purpose of the Development of New Textiles)

  • The purpose of this paper is to examine which fashion brands are most likely to be investigated by Korean textile firms when they conduct their market trend analyses. The result shows that for the domestic sales, textile firms are most likely to collect and analyze information on the Cheil Textil Co. It is followed by Bean Pole, Chanel, Buberry, Tomboy. For the future domestic sales, textile firms prefers referring foreign fashion brands such as Burberry, ZARA, MaxMara, Missoni, and Chanel. Textile firms majoring exports prefers collecting and analyzing information on D&G followed by Chanel, Gucci, and DKNY. This preference, however, differs when considering exporting areas. Textile firms targeting the French market considers Gucci, followed by Ferragamo, Dior, Louisvuitton. Textile firms targeting the Italian market prefer Chanel, followed by Valentine, ZARA, Gucci, and Armani. Chanel is also top brand for the North American and Japanese markets, and followed by GAP, ZARA, OZOC, Missoni, Munshing Wear. The information content collected and analyzed by textile firms is style, pattern, color, and textile materials for textile firms targeting the domestic sales, while the exporting firms prefer information on color and textile materials proposed and presented by the fashion brands to which they prefer to make reference. The result of this study can be used to effectively and efficiently collect and analyze market information on fashion brands for textile firms majoring the domestic and foreign sales.
