2013/14, 2014/15 F/W 컬렉션에 나타난 벌키 실루엣 코트 경향 분석 (Analysis of Bulky Silhouette Coat Trend in 2013/14, 2014/15 F/W Season of Women's Ready to Wear Collection: With Paris, Milan, London and New York Collection)

  • This study investigates the design relation between shoulder line and sleeve line for designing bulky silhouettes as well as examines the trend sensitivity and design difference of each city through a comparison of the four cities collection (Paris, Milan, London, and New York). The results are as follows. In the four major fashion capitals, the rates of all-season coats were higher in 2014/15 F/W than those in the 2013/14 F/W season. At the 2014/15 F/W season, the proportion of the bulky silhouette coat, (including the fur and cape coat) increased and confirmed the bulky silhouette fashion trend. Second, an examining of the proportion of bulky silhouette coats manufactured by leading brands in major cities, indicated that London brands readily followed the trend of bulky silhouette coats when compared to other cities. This trend was also accepted by most brands in New York. Most brands in London and New York are highly compliant with the latest fashion trends. Third, the drop shoulder design was mostly presented in the shoulder pit of the bulky coat. In case of the sleeve, the shape of the jar was kept wide at the elbow line and made narrower toward the beak in most bulky silhouette coats. The importance of shoulder and sleeve design is clearly highlighted in the bulky silhouette coat. Fourth, detail design trends were different according to type of sleeve and shoulder fit. The results show the relationship between shoulder and sleeve design.

  • As Korea fully entered the fashion industry in the early 1980s, the casual lifestyle trend has led the casual trend of fashion, and segmentation and specialization of the casual wear market began from the early 1990s. As of 2003, which is twelfth year after On & On's launch in 1992, this brand has succeeded in advancing into the Chinese market and has also arisen as a successful brand in the domestic market. The present research was carried out by consulting on the proposal of the marketing strategies for On & On. Firstly, in 1994 the marketing research for the consumers visiting the shop was carried out. A second investigation was conducted on the basis of the first analysis in 2003, ten after the first investigation. This research was performed to propose the future marketing strategies for On & On through an analysis of the changes of On & On consumer's purchase. This research established marketing strategies for the young casual brand.

미니멀리즘에 대한 헤어아트 연구 (A study of Hair Art in Minimalism)

  • This study is a thesis about the hair art reflected minimalism which is expanded to various art fields using minimum formative measures minimalism is a kind of modern art trend. It is analyzed theoretically that the works of this researcher approaching minimalism and consideration of minimalism about hair, flexible clothes and artistic costume. It is defined that the "hair art" is "aesthetic hair", and I include my three works approaching minimalism that are researched, extended, made. I spread the works which have minimalism characteristic by design intent, concept, title, color, ingredient, size and detail, consider the hair art works theoretically and present the basis and method of scholar study minimalism art trend. I think that succeeding studies related to the hair art should be continued. I expect that various work activities of hair art artists and scientific breakthrough via theoretical thesis about the work of themselves.

패션잡지에 나타난 장식 경향 및 내적 의미 - 블라우스, 재킷, 원피스를 중심으로 - (The Trend and Meaning of Decoration in Fashion Magazines - Focused on Blouse, Jacket and One-piece -)

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze the trend and meanings of the decoration which has appeared on fashion magazines from 1995 through 2005. The method of this study is to analyze 1627 decorations represented in fashion magazine focused on blouse, jacket and one-piece. As a result of this study I drew the following conclusion. First, the decoration reflects a life-style that modern people persue comfort, casual wear. Second, the decoration redefines the feminine identity by fusing different factors of fashion style. Third, the decoration reflects the hybrid tendencies through reconstruction by merging different culture or things.

  • "Sustainability" and buzzword as in many areas of products produced and studies in progress, in situations of domestic "green fashion" of the Progress and identify problems and advanced in value sustained growth that can be done fashion design, the future of the gauge view there is need. 컴퓨터 그래픽스를 이용한 날염 패턴 디자인에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Printing Pattern Design using Computer Graphics)

  • The writer did a survey of current textile patterns for the purpose of identifying a motif trend. After identifying a current motif trend the writer used an IBM PC 386 Computer and Lumena Software to design actual patterns. The results are as follows: 1. The most common currently used prints are floral patterns. 2. Knowing that floral patterns are most popular, the writer established a motif using the Rose of Sharon, the national flower of Korea. 3. Using computer graphics to move, enlarge and scale-down motif, the writer has been able to design various textile patterns. 4. Creating patterns with computer graphics was not only more efficient, but it also produced more accurate designs and a greater variety of designs. 5. Using the many computer graphic functions avaliable, a greater variety of patterns changes and compositions can be displayed than would be possible if produce by hand. 6. Computer simulations of textiles and clothing made it possible to evaluate the printed fabric or finished product. Faults in the printed fabric or clothing could be corrented before production. Through simulation then it is possible to create higher quality garments and readuce costly mistakes. Thereby greater profits will be realized from the finished garments.

실크 세리신의 구조와 성질에 대한 최근 연구동향 (Recent research trend in the structure and properties of silk sericin)

  • Sericin has been removed in textile industry to improve the luster and hand of silk textile. Therefore, the sericin was considered as useless material. However, recently sericin has attracted researcher's attention since unique properties of sericin including high water retention, UV protection, and wound healing effect were reported. In spite of the useful properties of sericin as biomedical and cosmetic materials, its poor mechanical properties have restricted its industrial use in biomedical and cosmetic fields. To improve the mechanical properties, various sericins were prepared by different conditions, and the effects of the preparation condition on the structure and properties of sericin were examined. In this review paper, research trend in the structure and properties of sericin prepared with different conditions were intensively introduced.

An Analysis of the Ecology Fabric Trend : 20 Years (1986-2005) of S/S Woven Fabric Trends

  • In order to provide more systematic approach to analyze fabric trends and to develop fabrics accordingly, ecology fabric trend from 1986 to 2005 was analyzed related with fabric trend themes and fabric attributes. The result shows that in the 1980s, natural theme appeared, followed by primitive theme and imitated natural theme until the mid 1990s. From the late 1990s to the early 2000s, new natural theme appeared, followed by eco-friendly theme, and then recycling theme. In the natural theme, 'clean' was the most important fabric attribute and 'textured' and 'worn' were important fabric attributes in the primitive theme. In the imitated natural theme, 'wet' fabric attribute was preferred. In the new natural theme, 'lightweight' were preferred. The results of this study empirically demonstrated that abstract and ambiguous trend terms can be interpreted with a physical, substantial, and feasible attributes that fabric practitioners can easily understand.

섬도제어 연신공정에 의한 세섬화 양모 소재의 물성 연구 (Physical Properties and Dyeability of Fine Count Wool Yarns and Its Fabrics by Drawing Process of Fineness Control)

  • In the wool textile industry, the necessity for technology development has been steadily raised to create improved fineness and yarn count of existing wool yarns with thick fineness for ensuring higher quality grades of wool yarn. Recently, through controlling fineness of wool yarn for making finer wool in relation with environmentally-friendly and high-sensitivity trend, a differentiated continuous drawing process where the quality of wool can be artificially manipulated has been suggested in the latest textile industry. This study investigated the basic conditions during the continuous drawing process which enable to manufacture wool yarn with fine count by controlling reducing agent treatment, physical drawing and drying after reducing agent treatment, and oxidizing agent post-treatment conditions. Furthermore, this study reviewed the drawing effects by applying the basic conditions for reduction and oxidation reaction in the drawing processes of wool/cashmere, wool/silk, wool/polyester blended yarns as well as such wool yarns. Also, in order to review the practicability, this study examined the physical properties and dyeability of drawn wool yarn applied textile materials in comparison with normal wool yarn applied textile materials.

패션브랜드의 리테일 스페이스 최근 경향 및 유형 분석에 관한 연구 - 세계 명품 패션브랜드의 리테일 스페이스를 중심으로 - (A Study on the Latest Trend and Type Analysis of Fashion Brand's Retail Space - Focused on Retail Space of World Prestige Brand -)

  • The purpose of this study is to identify the latest trend and type of retail space, and the features according to type of retail space of global prestige brand. To do this, literature analysis was executed by related books, articles, and theses. As a result, the latest trend of fashion retail space which has appeared after 2000 is as follows: 1) The differentiation of fashion brand through collaboration between fashion designers and architects, 2) retail space extension strategy, 3) retail space as a cultural space, 4) bold investment for retail space. The type of fashion retail space which has appeared after 2000 is as follows: 1) Spectacular flagship retail space of monumental scale, 2) global type retail space which exhibits common features through the whole world, 3) localization retail space which shows different features according to store location 4) innovative retail space out of traditional store form. The result of this study will be utilized when a domestic fashion brand establishes global marketing strategy of retail space.
