This study identified the linguistic features of Earth science treatises through the analysis of the register. Data included three Korean treatises that were in geology, atmospheric science, and oceanography. The register of Earth science treatise was as follows: First, there were semantic, referential connections between Themes and Rhemes, that the messages and main points of the texts were expressed coherently and cohesively. Second, some predicates were used which were related to deductive inference, abductive inferences, or causal relation according to the genre elements of each text. The logical relations were not represented by the conjunctions but by the types of predicates. Third, most texts in the treatises showed interpersonally weak relationship using mental predicates related to possibilities, which meant scientists expressed indirectly their interpretation, explanation, or arguments. From these results, we argued that some activities of unpacking the language of science be included in science curriculum in order to improve students' literacy of science texts and understanding scientists' knowledge construction.
The purpose of this study is to investigate the characteristics of 'best practire' in mathematics and suggest some solutions to several problems emerging in mathematics classes of secondary schools. The study was carried out by using qualitative research methods such as class observations and in-depth interviews with six teachers. Based on the collected data, we could sort out the major patterns which characterize 'the good mathematics teaching' at schools in Korea. The common characteristics of best practice in mathematics are drawn out from the six cases. The common characteristics include revising the curriculum and text books, realistic mathematics education, using ICT and meta-cognition, introduction with motivation and interest, performance assessment and managing differentiated small group. Results implied that six teachers used a variety of instructional methods and strategies which is related with the common characteristics of good mathematics teaching. Also these teachers not only improved their own classroom practices but also participated in various professional community of mathematics education and shared their practical knowledge. In conclusion assorted efforts from the government and the school principals as well as the teachers are prerequisite for practicing and spreading good mathematics teaching across the classrooms.

Objectives: To analyze whether a concept similar to Korean 'Hwabyung' exists in China. We investigated the status of clinical studies conducted in China for relevant diseases and trends of the traditional Chinese medicinal (TCM) treatment adopted in clinical studies. Methods: To explore the concept of a condition similar to Korean Hwabyung in China, we searched for the existence of concept and pattern that were parallel or similar to those of Hwabyung in TCM text-books and diagnostic guidelines. We searched and analyzed clinical studies of TCM treatment for depression syndrome similar to Hwabyung from CNKI using terms 'depression' and 'qi stagnation transforming into fire'. Using extracted data, characteristics of clinical research, herbal medicine, and acupuncture treatment used in the clinical research and their effects were systematically reviewed. Results: Symptoms of 'qi stagnation transforming into fire' were most similar to those of Hwabyung. Nine articles were selected from a total 258 articles. Most of them used DSM-IV or CCMD-3 for depression diagnosis. They applied 'diagnostic and efficacy guidelines for TCM diseases and syndromes' for pattern diagnosis of 'qi stagnation transforming into fire'. Danzhixiaoyao-san and Jiaweixiaoyao-san were found to be effective when they were used alone or in combination with antidepressants. Acupuncture treatment also showed remarkable effect on LR3, HT7, LI4, PC6, GV20 when it was used alone or in combination with antidepressants. However, careful interpretation is required because a small number of studies are included.Conclusions: 'Qi stagnation transforming into fire' seemed to have symptoms similar to Hwabyung. However, further research is needed to determine its diseases and pattern types compared to Hwabyung. According to included studies of 'depression with Qi stagnation transforming into fire', herbal medicine and acupuncture treatment tended to be effective in relieving depressive symptoms. However, more discussion is required for future application of herbal medicine and acupuncture for treating Hwabyung.

The purpose of this study was to analyze reflected status of evidence-based guideline on nursing textbook for prevention of catheter-associated urinary tract infections (CAUTIs). The subjects were 14 fundamental nursing textbooks consisting of 7 theoretical and 7 practical books published from March 2012 to March 2017. The evidence-based guideline was consisted of ninety-one recommendations for prevention of CAUTIs which were comprehensively collected from five guidelines. Collected data were analyzed using descriptive statistics. Reflected rate on theoretical and practical fundamental nursing textbooks were 23.0% and 15.2% respectively. The most reflected domains in theoretical and practical textbooks was catheter management and catheter insertion respectively. Sixteen out of 91 individual recommendations with more than 50% consistency rate were identified, and eight (50.0%) recommendations on the catheter maintenance area were identified. Lastly nine inconsistent recommendations were identified. And the most frequent discrepancies were indwelling catheterization for management of urinary incontinence, followed by regular changing indwelling catheter, clamping prior to removal and perineal care. In conclusion, we found that recommendations for the CAUTIs guidelines were poorly reflected on text books. Further revising fundamental nursing textbook should correct the discrepancies between textbooks and the guidelines.

In this study, we examine what components of e-learning environment affect e-learners' satisfaction. We focus on the task based approach to perceived website complexity(PWC). We study about the role of e-tutor using the internet, telephone, text message and e-mail etc. To test our model, we collected 235 data from online learners of Korea Culture & Content Agency using survey method. The research was conducted by SPSS15.0. Our results show that the relationship between PWC and e-learner satisfaction was negative. The rules of e-tutor are supporting e-learning service and facilitating recommendation intention. This study provides implications to design future e-learning service, understand user's herd behavior and evaluate learning process developed.

This study examined the relationship among PsyCap(positive psychological capital), psychological empowerment, personal creativity and verified the mediated effects of intrinsic motivation in this relationship using the SEM(Structural Equation Model). For this study, the data was collected through on/off-line surveys of members and managers from 12 different enterprises. Among the 418 answers from voluntary participating employees, 332 answers were finally used for statistical analysis. The results were as follows. First, PsyCap had a positive influence on the intrinsic motivation and personal creativity. Second, Psychological Empowerment had a positive influence on intrinsic motivation, but psychological empowerment has no influence on creativity. Third, intrinsic motivation had a meaningful influence by partially mediating PsyCap and personal creativity but completely mediated psychological empowerment and personal creativity. This study focused on intrinsic motivation among the internal factors that have influences on showing personal creativity and has importance in the point that it has suggested the statistical significance by analyzing the psychological/emotional mechanism to reinforce this intrinsic motivation in a positive way. Positive analysis on the relationships among these variables suggests a theoretical meaning on providing a future direction for the study and practical meaning on providing ideas to reinforce the employees' personal creativity. The details of this study are followed in the main text.
This paper proposes how to improve performance of the Korean document sentiment-classification system using semantic properties of the sentiment words. A sentiment word means a word with sentiment, and sentiment features are defined by a set of the sentiment words which are important lexical resource for the sentiment classification. Sentiment feature represents different sentiment intensity in general field and in specific domain. In general field, we can estimate the sentiment intensity using a snippet from a search engine, while in specific domain, training data can be used for this estimation. When the sentiment intensity of the sentiment features are estimated, it is called semantic orientation and is used to estimate the sentiment intensity of the sentences in the text documents. After estimating sentiment intensity of the sentences, we apply that to the weights of sentiment features. In this paper, we evaluate our system in three different cases such as general, domain-specific, and general/domain-specific semantic orientation using support vector machine. Our experimental results show the improved performance in all cases, and, especially in general/domain-specific semantic orientation, our proposed method performs 3.1% better than a baseline system indexed by only content words.
We propose a method to analyze the user reviews and ratings of the products in the online shopping mall and automatically extracts the features of the products to determine the characteristics of a product. By judging whether a rating is given by a specific feature of a product, our method distributes the score to each feature. Conventional methods force users to wastes time reading overflowing number of reviews and ratings to decide whether to buy the product or not. Moreover, it is difficult to grasp the merits and demerits of the product, because of the way reviews and ratings are provided. It is structured in a way that it is impossible to decide which rating is given to the which characteristics of the product. Therefore, in this paper, to resolve this problem, we propose a method to automatically extract the feature of the product from the user review and distribute the score to appropriate characteristics of the product by calculating the rating of each feature from the overall rating. proposed method collects product reviews and ratings, conducts morphological analysis, and extracts features and emotional words of the products. In addition, a method for determining the polarity of a sentence in which the feature appears is given a weight value for each feature. results of the experiment and the questionnaires comparing the existing methods show the usefulness of the proposed method. We also validates the results by comparing the analysis conducted by the product review experts.

Last March, the world Go competition between AlphaGo, AI Go program developed by Google Deep Mind and professional Go player Lee Sedol has shown us that the 4th industrial revolution using AI has come close. Especially, there ar many system combined with AI hae been developing including program for researching legal information, system for expecting jurisdiction, and processing big data, there is saying that even AI legal person is ready for its appearance. As legal field is mostly based on text-based document, such characteristic makes it easier to adopt artificial intelligence technology. When a legal person receives a case, the first thing to do is searching for legal information and judical precedent, which is the one of the strength of AI. It is very difficult for a human being to utilize a flow of legal knowledge and figures by analyzing them but for AI, this is nothing but a simple job. The ability of AI searching for regulation, precedent, and literature related to legal issue is way over our expectation. AI is evaluated to be able to review 1 billion pages of legal document per second and many people agree that lot of legal job will be replaced by AI. Along with development of AI service, legal service is becoming more advanced and if it devotes to ethical solving of legal issues, which is the final goal, not only the legal field but also it will help to gain nation's trust. If nations start to trust the legal service, it would never be completely replaced by AI. What is more, if it keeps offering advanced, ethical, and quick legal service, value of law devoting to the society will increase and finally, will make contribution to the nation. In this time where we have to compete with AI, we should try hard to increase value of traditional legal service provided by human. In the future, priority of good legal person will be his/her ability to use AI. The only field left to human will be understanding and recovering emotion of human caused by legal problem, which cannot be done by AI's controlling function. Then, what would be the attitude of legal people in this period? It would be to learn the new technology and applying in the field rather than going against it, this will be the way to survive in this new AI period.
