  • Circuit testing process is very important in IC Manufacturing there are two ways in research for circuit testing improvement. These are ATPG Tool Design and Test simulation application. We are interested in how to use parallel technique such as one-side communication, parallel IO and dynamic Process with data partition for circuit testing improvement and we use one-side communication technique in this paper. The parallel ATPG Tool can reduce the test pattern sets of the circuit that is designed in laboratory for make sure that the fault is not occur. After that, we use result for parallel circuit test simulation to find fault between designed circuit and tested circuit. From the experiment, We use less execution time than non-parallel Process. And we can set more parameter for less test size. Previous experiment we can't do it because some parameter will affect much waste time. But in the research, if we use the best ATPG Tool can optimize to least test sets and parallel circuit testing application will not work. Because there are too little test set for circuit testing application. In this paper we use a standard sequential circuit of ISCAS89.

  • Robot software components can be categorized into two types; the pure S/W component and the H/W-related one. Since interface testing of the robot software component is the labour-intensive and complicated work, an effective automated testing tool is necessary. Especially it is difficult to test all types of H/W-related components because it is hard work to prepare all H/W modules related to them. This paper proposes a new simulation-based interface testing automation tool(SITAT) which generates automatically test cases for interface testing of the robot software component and executes the interface test with the generated test cases where the simulator is used for simulation of the activity of a H/W module instead of the real H/W module. This paper verifies the effectiveness of the suggested SITAT with testing of the real H/W-related robot software component.

  • We propose TITAN (Tool for IoT ApplicatioN testing), a developer support tool that enables efficient testing of IoT applications. TITAN is designed to allow IoT application developers to run their applications under the development environment without being restricted by physical environments and users' behaviors required to test application logic being developed. Using TITAN, IoT application developers can save the time and effort needed to repeatedly perform the testing of application logic while they develop their applications. In this paper, we present the system architecture of TITAN and its current prototype implementation. We evaluate the usefulness and usability of TITAN through a small user study with two example IoT applications. The study participants show their positive perception about the usefulness of TITAN. We further discuss the limitations of the current study and future research directions.

  • In the previously reported Part I, the behavior of the flank wear for carbide tool was studied as a preceeding step to present a simple method for Quick Tool-Life Testing, and the following general equation was obtained $W_{f}$ =(a+bt) $V^{m}$ . In this study the following step-cutting formula for the constants a, b and m in the above general model is derived by using step-cutting data [a numerical formula] To check the validity of the above formula, the comparison is made between the tool-life equation inferred in this method and that inferred in the conventional tool-life testing method, when the wear criterion is 0.3mm. The equation obtained in the present method is V(T')$^{0.57}$=1763 whereas the equation obtained in the conventional tool-life testing method is V(T)$^{0.56}$=1605 The results of the above two formula are satisfactory and also verify the validity of the present research.earch.

  • Recently, usability has become very important in voice user interface systems. In this paper, we have designed and implemented a wizard-of-oz (WOZ) usability testing tool for command-and-control voice user interfaces. We have proposed the VUIDML (Voice User Interface Design Markup Language) to design the usability test scenario of command-and-control voice interfaces in the early design stages. For highly satisfactory voice user interfaces, we have to select highly preferred voice commands and prompts. In VUIDML, we can specify possible prompt candidates. The WOZ usability testing tool can also be used to collect user-preferred voice commands and feedback from real users.

  • Recent advances in computer technology have brought more dependence on software to train control systems. Hence, the safety assurance of the vital software running on the railway system is very critical task and yet, not many works have been done. While much efforts have been reported to improve electronic hardware's safety, not so much systematic approaches to evaluate software's safety, especially for the vital software running on board train controllers. In this paper, we have developed the static software testing tool for railway signaling, especially Fagan Inspection module and checklists supporting module. This static testing tool for railway signaling can be utilized at the assessment phase, and also usefully at the software development stage also. It is anticipated that it will be greatly helpful for the evaluation on the software for railway signalling system.

  • Recently, a new testing technique called concolic testing receives lots of attention. Concolic testing generates test data by combining concrete program execution and symbolic execution to achieve high test coverage. CREST is a representative open-source test tool implementing concolic testing. Currently, however, CREST only deals with integer type as input. This paper presents a new rule for automated test data generation in presence of inputs of pointer type. The rules effectively handles multi-level stack-directed pointers that are mainly used in C programs. In addition, we describe a tool named vCREST implementing the proposed rules together with the results of applying the tool to some C programs.

  • One of the activities to improve software quality in ISO 26262 is to apply the design principles for software unit design and implementation mentioned in ISO 26262-6, including the evaluation activity. Before evaluation activity, the tool is compared and selected for evaluation. Because the results of the tool a company selected might have an effect on product quality. In this paper, we suggest the method to compare industrial static analysis tools with some of "MISRA C : 2004 Exemplar Suite" and all lessons learned from comparing tools are described. The result on comparison shows that we just couldn't rely on a result of Static Analysis Tool and need to have another appropriate processes and guidelines to evaluate a software.

  • Many railway signalling functions have increasingly depended on computer software with recent development in computing technology, leading to evolution into more flexible and intelligent railway signalling system. Meanwhile, software programs are likely to have many errors and the cost incurred by such errors has increased. Especially, if fatal software error occurs during railway operation, it may result in loss of lives. So the software verification and validation have become more important. It is needed for software functional safety tool to support these, but most commercial tools depend on direct access to the system's memory, resulting in many difficulties in application. Owing to such difficulties and complexity, they are rarely used in railway signalling system software validation. In this study, a new testing tool for software functional testing through an external interface that can be easily used in functional testing of software was developed. Such testing tool allows development and analysis of test cases for black-box testing through analysis of actually used interface protocols, leading to increased user convenience.
