  • The importance and utilization of underground spatial is increasing due to urban concentration. And so underground spatial information is being built. Because underground spatial information is an important NSDI (National Spatial Data Infrastructure), the accuracy and performance of underground spatial exploration devices used for construction are managed separately. In accordance with the laws and regulations related to spatial information, the government is conducting performance tests for underground facilities surveying equipment. The current performance test site mainly targets metal pipelines, and there is no absolute position surveying inspection system. In this study, test bed model for performance inspection of underground space exploration equipment was presented. The test bed presented in this study can be used as a test site to supplement the limitations of the existing domestic test bed and to verify the performance of the latest equipment.

  • The MATS(Missile Assembly Test Set) is manufactured and used to check the function of the missile during the period of development for the guided missile system, and the requirements for power and communication are managed for equipment production. The MATS developer implements software according to the proposed communication standard to guarantee the reliability of the data that communicates with the guided missile. The test bed is built and self-performance evaluation is performed after implementation. And the verification process is performed using the standard equipment. The characteristics of periodic delay for data transmission must be reflected when building a test bed. This paper describes a test bed construction method for data processing with periodic delay. Also This paper compares and evaluates the performance by changing the previously designed algorithm.

  • This study is to develop a new composite material, a mixture of epoxy resin and granite aggergates which is called Expoxy-Granite, to overcome the inherent disadvantages of conventional materials commonly used as a bed structure material of long-term dimensional/ thermal stability. Under the various manufacturing conditions which could be formulated through experimental investigation, we have constructed 6 kinds of Epoxy-Granite structure models having one fifth the size of the ultra-precision machine tool bed structure. They are compared with cast iron and pure granite models through the dynamic test and the thermal deformation test. Both in the steel ball dropping test and in the forced vibration test, three types of epoxy-granite models made in this study have shown much better dynamic characteristics than the cast iron model and almost the same characteristics as compared with the pure granite model. In the thermal deformation test the above composite materials have also represented lower thermal displacements in the vertical direction of each model as compared with other specimens. It is therefore seen that the epoxy-granite complsite material can be applied to the construction of high-precision machine tool bed, instead of cast iron or pure granite.

  • Give high priority to the technologies that can be directly applicable to the U-City development projects which are in progress by many central and local governments. Create a real world product at the end of R&D phase by testing prototypes in test-beds or test-labs. Recently, new construction technologies have been developed, but they are rarely being applied to the construction filed. In this paper, the basic design was examined so that various technologies can be selected through a test-bed, analyzed for the real situation, and applied to actual construction sites. Improve productivity of regional and urban construction exercises and improve competitiveness of related products and services using IT-based telemetering/GIS technology.

  • We spend about 40% of lifte time on a bed and seek how such amount of time is spent comfort. Bed comfort has been pursuited. The pressure distributions on a bed by body pressure has been considered as one of the most important factors of bed comfort. This study is to quantify the subjective assessment by the body pressure distribution and develop the objective evaluation method of bed comfort. A new measurement system for body pressure on a bed was developed in this study. The thin film pressure sensor (FSR: Force Sensing Resistor) of an elastomer-type was used to prevent the distortion of contact pressure. The pressure distribution is measured by FSR and displayed on the monitor by color-coded contour patterns. Some of the bed test results were described. And the relations between body pressure distribution and bed comfort were evaluated.

  • Recently, a large fire occurred in a multi-use facility used by a large number of citizens, including the vulnerable, resulting in a lot of injuries and damages. Although several pilot studies have been conducted to reduce such incidents, the development of advanced disaster response technology using the latest spatial information and IoT technology is still insufficient. In this study, a pilot test bed is built to demonstrate detailed technologies derived through the first stage of realistic fire management technology research for the development of applied technology in the field. In detail, the building conditions and candidate sites of the test bed were first investigated and analyzed to derive satisfactory conditions and candidate target buildings. A second pilot test bed was then selected, and the necessary sensor and facility infrastructure were built to demonstrate the outcomes. Finally, a scenario was produced for technology verification, and a test bed system was developed. The pilot test bed is expected to contribute to verifying intermediate outcomes of realistic fire management research projects, enhancing the quality of the developed technologies.

  • There have been vigorous studies on smart home appliances with ubiquitous technologies overseas as well as in Korea. Kookmin university has provided a one-room type test bed as one of many experienced-type test beds and has applied many smart home appliances with ubiquitous technologies to the test bed to examine their interrelations and usability over a year. This article scrutinize applied situations and their problems of the appliances and based on the findings we suggest smart home appliances with ubiquitous technologies in various housing types.

  • The Electrical Test Bed(ETB) integrates the test environment, required for acceptance tests of system level, prior to FM testing. The ETB will be used for the validation of system-level functions and interface between each subsystem. The FTB supports early functional and limited performance checkout of electrical subsystems. Therefore, it provides the environment for the verification of the Flight Software including AOCS, EPS, and TC&R simulators. These ETB will be composed of engineering version of spacecraft BUS, which are laid on the laboratory table.

  • In the indoor wireless communication, it is considered the indoor wireless system architecture of single input multiple output (SIMO) that used with multiple antenna in order to cope with the indoor fading characteristic due to severe angler spread. We propose the mean steering vector technique as a method to enhance the system Performance, implement the test bed system composed of a PC and the algorithms of the wireless system, and analysis the performance of those algorithms. In addition, the overall operation scenario, overall architecture, and the execution time of the algorithms, of the test bed for the indoor wireless system are presented.

  • Increasing tensions of contact wire and messenger wire are essential to construct a test-bed for catenary system in the 400km/h speed on Honam high-speed railway. Because heavy load is applied to a mast due to the increased the tensions of both wires it is required to investigate the strength of the foundation. Therefore, in this study the maximum moment of an electric pole under the worst condition was calculated to investigate the strength of the pole foundation on the bridges. The maximum moment database table used in the construction of Kyungbu high-speed railway was referenced to derive the worst conditions and to review the composition of catenary system in the test-bed section. From the results of this study regarding assumptions and calculation process it will be possible to estimate the optimized strength of the pole foundations on the bridges which will be constructed in the future.
