성역할정체감에 따른 치과위생사의 업무수행 만족도와 자기 효능감 (The effect of gender role identity on the satisfaction and self effectiveness with job performance of dental hygienist)

  • Objectives: This study aims to investigate the effect of job performance satisfaction and self-efficacy according to gender role identity in the dental hygienist. Methods: Data collection was performed from June 21 to July 31, 2015. The survey was composed of questions on the subject's general demographical profile, gender role identity, job satisfaction, job performace satisfaction, and self-efficacy as a dental hygienist. The job performance satisfaction and self-efficacy were done by Kruskal-Wallis test and Bonferroni post hoc test. Results: 1. The highest job performance satisfaction was shown as unclassified (36.6%), bisexuality (27.8%0, feminity (19.8%), and masculinity (15.9%). 2. There was a significant difference between the satisfaction as a dental hygienist and self-efficacy among the group (p<0.001). 3. Both female and male dental hygienists had the highest satisfaction and self-efficacy with the job performance. Conclusions: The satisfaction and self-efficacy with the job performance were influenced by gender role identity. Therefore, in order to enhance the satisfaction and self-efficacy as a dental hygienist, the education for the dental hygienist must include the gender role identity in the future.

간호대학생의 성인지 감수성, 성역할 갈등이 간호전문직관에 미치는 영향 (The Effects of the Gender Sensitivity, the Gender Role Conflict on Nursing Professionalism in Nursing Students)

  • Objectives: This study aimed to confirm the degree of gender sensitivity, gender role conflict, nursing professionalism of nursing students and the factors that affect nursing professionalism. Methods: During Jan. 19 to Feb. 5 in 2021, the structured questionnaire was used for 187 nursing students by on-line research methods. Data were analyzed by descriptive analysis, mean comparison(t-test, ANOVA), correlation analysis(Pearson's correlation coefficient) and multiple regression using SPSS/WIN 25.0. Results: The gender sensitivity had positive relationship with nursing professionalism, and gender role conflict had negative relationship with nursing professionalism. And the prediction factors influencing nursing professionalism were major satisfaction, gender sensitivity and gender role conflict. The total variance was 8.2% by predictors. Conclusions: In order to improve the nursing professionalism of nursing students, various ways to increase the satisfaction level of major should be sought, and program should be prepared to improve gender sensitivity and reduce gender role conflict.

대학생의 양성평등의식과 주생활 교육내용 활용도의 관련연구 (A Study on the Relationship between Awareness of Gender Equality and Practice of Housing Education Contents in University Students)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship between the awareness of gender equality and practice of housing education contents in Technology Home Economics Subject of university students. Subjects were 488 university students located in JunBuk province. In this statistical analysis, SPSS 11.5 for Windows program was utilized to analyze frequency, t-test, one-way Anova, Duncan test, Ward's method, Pearson's correlation coefficient. The results of this study were follow: First, the university student's gender equality appeared a little above the middle level. Female student's gender equality was higher than male. Second, the university students' practice of housing education contents appeared at the middle level. Male students appeared to be higher than female at 'support and repair of housing' unit. Third, the higher university students have awareness of gender equality, the better they practice of housing education contents. Group one recording where the gender equality is high 'Living quarter application', 'Indoor environment and equipments' units the practice of housing education contents was high. Forth, correlation of variables differed significantly between university students' practice of housing education contents and the awareness of gender equality. As a conclusion, university students' awareness of gender equality play an important role in practice of housing education contents in their real life. These results should be provide fundamental information for improving of housing education contents in Technology Home Economics Subject.

대학생의 양성평등의식이 결혼관 및 자녀관에 미치는 영향 (The impact of gender equality consciousness on view of marriage and children in university students)

  • 본 연구는 대학생의 양성평등의식이 결혼관과 자녀관에 미치는 영향을 확인하고자 하였다. 설문지를 이용하여 남녀평등의식, 결혼관, 자녀관에 대한 인식 수준을 파악하였다. 연구를 위한 조사는 S시의 대학생 205명을 대상으로 하였다. 자료분석은 SPSS 28.0 프로그램을 사용하여 빈도, 백분율, 평균, 표준편차, t-test, one-way ANOVA, 피어슨 상관계수, 다중회귀분석을 실시하였다. 대학생의 양성평등의식 수준은 평균 4.23점으로 나타났으며 여학생이 남학생보다 높게 나타났다. 대학생의 양성평등의식은 결혼관, 자녀관과 음의 상관관계를 보였다. 양성평등의식의 하위영역 중 가정생활 영역에서 결혼관과 자녀관에 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 즉 가정생활 영역의 양성평등의식이 높을수록 결혼관에 대하여 개방적이었으며 자녀가 필요하다는 인식은 낮은 것으로 확인되었다. 대학생의 긍정적인 결혼관 및 자녀관을 형성시키기 위하여, 남녀간의 균형잡힌 양성평등의식을 향상시키기 위한 교육프로그램이 개발되어야 할 것이다.

임상간호사의 성별, 성역할정체감에 따른 병원폭력 경험과 병원폭력에 대한 태도 (Experience of Violence and Hospital Violence Attitude according to Gender and Gender-Role Identity of Clinical Nurses)

  • Purpose: This study aims to examine differences in experiences of violence and hospital violence attitude according to gender and gender-role identity of clinical nurses. Methods: The quota sampling method, was used to select the research subjects. They were divided into two groups male and female nurses who worked for three general hospitals or higher level-hospitals in Incheon and Gyeongbuk. The data of 219 subjects was used for final analysis. The IBM SPSS 22.0 was used to analyze the data t-test and ANOVA. Results: According to gender, the hospital violence experience of female nurses was oserved frequently when the verbal violence came from guardians, and when the physical threats came from others. For male nurses, the experiences of hospital violence was obserbed. According to gender, the hospital violence attitude revealed significant differences in female nurses that the negative attitude was higher (t=-4.69, p<.001). According to gender-role identity, the undifferentiated and femininity showed significant differences (F=4.86 p=.003). Conclusion: The differentiated strategies of coping measures and violence preventive education considering the gender and gender-role identity of clinical nurses would help formulate measures for the effective management of hospital violence.

A Gender Comparative Study on South Korean Youth Internet Addiction

  • As a part of advanced technology society, South Korean youth have been accessing the Internet at a very high pace. The Internet overuse could yield addiction where may be a serious psychological disorder of this century. The literature remarks that gender could make a significant difference on internet addiction. Therefore, this study aims to examine the effect of gender variable on internet addiction for a sample of South Korean university students (n = 815; 312 females and 503 males). The instrument had two sections; the demographics and twenty Internet Addiction survey items based on a five level scale; "Rarely, Occasionally, Frequently, Often and Always". The results showed that general tendency among the participants appeared between "Occasionally" and "Frequently" for internet addiction. In order to test five derived study hypotheses, the researchers conducted comparative statistical tests. The t-tests revealed that gender made statistically significant differences on nineteen items where males were higher than females showing that males significantly spend more time on the Internet than females. Additionally, t-tests results showed that seventeen of the survey items showed statistically significant differences with respect to types of technology dominant environment. The researchers created two dummy variables to combine gender and technology dominant environment variables and gender and school year variables, to have a better understanding the gender effect with one-way ANOVA. The gender difference still exists following its merge to technology dominant environment showing that the gender surpasses IT related environment. When school year combines to gender, males show higher scores for certain items, especially for freshman year.

The Effects of Perception of gender in People with Developmental Disabilities on Life Satisfaction

  • The purpose of this study was to empirically analyze the effect of gender perception on the life satisfaction of people with developmental disabilities. Based on the results, it was intended to suggest practical measures to improve the developmentally disabled's awareness of their gender and quality of life. To achieve the purpose of the study, a survey was conducted with a significant sample of people with developmental disabilities aged 30 or older in Ulsan City. It was done. Of the collected questionnaires, 58 copies were used as final analysis data, excluding unfaithful responses. The collected data were factor analysis, reliability analysis, frequency analysis, Pearson correlation analysis, t/F-test, and regression analysis using SPSS 20.0 It was implemented. Based on the analysis results, the development of gender education programs for people with developmental disabilities to provide knowledge and information about gender and developmental disabilities. It suggested establishing experts and counseling institutions dedicated to gender and implementing and promoting social education for the general public.

소비자의 점포속성 중요도와 점포선택 행동에 관한 연구 - 남녀 대학생의 쇼핑성향을 중심으로 - (A Study on the Consumer's Importance of Store Attributes and Store Choice Behavior according to the Shopping Orientations)

  • The purpose of this study was to examine the consumer's importance of store attributes and store choice behavior according to the shopping orientations and gender. The data were collected via a questionnaire from students who were attending in Semyung University in Chechoen. The results were analyzed by factor analysis, Cronbach's alpha, cluster analysis, χ²-test, Duncan-test, ANOVA, t-test and multiple regression. The results of this study were as follows; 1 . According to the shopping orientations, consumers were classified into six groups. Each group differed in perferring store attributes and store choice behavior. 2. The significant differences were found in the importance of store attributes and shopping orientations according to the gender. 3. Additionally, importance of store attributes were affected by gender and shopping orientations.

웹 기반 가상현실 프로그램과 지필 학습 프로그램이 공간시각화 능력에 미치는 영향 -성별을 중심으로- (The Gender-Related Effects of a Web-Based Virtual Reality Program and a Paper-Based Program on Spatial Visualization Skills of Middle School Students)

  • This study was conducted to investigate the gender-related effects of two instructional programs on spatial visualization skills of ninth grade students. Two instructional programs were developed for this study: a web-based virtual reality program and a paper-based program. 194 ninth graders from two middle schools in Seoul participated in this study. Six classes were divided into experimental groups and control groups. The Middle Grades Mathematics Projects (MGMP) Spatial Visualization Test was used to measure spatial visualization skills. The data analysis indicated that both the web-based and paper-based programs were effective to improve spatial visualization skills to treatment groups. Although boys'test mean scores were higher than girls' in the pretest, when deleting the effect of covariance of pretest, there were no statistical significance in the post-test. Girls in the treatment groups favored the paper-based spatial visualization program. These results imply that spatial training may benefit girls' performance more than that of boys and mode of instructional programs can create gender-related differences regarding spatial visualization skills.

스키니 진의 착용 만족도 및 부작용 경험 (Satisfaction and Experience of Side Effecting in Wearing Skinny Jeans)

  • Many people who wear skinny jeans have expressed satisfaction or concern regarding the side effects of wearing the garments, based on specific demographic characteristics. For this study, we disseminated 373 copies of a questionnaire. Study subjects were eighteen-to fifty-nine-year-old man and women Linear regression was used for data analysis. Descriptive statistics included the ${\chi}^2$ test, t-test, ANOVA and Duncan multiple range test. Corresponding results in terms of difference analysis overall were significant when based on gender, marital status, age, occupation and the average score of satisfaction. The values were approximately three points. The qualitative results of difference analysis for side effects in wearing skinny jeans according to demographic characteristics were identified as the experience of displeasure by pressure. There was a significant difference according to gender. Leg edema was also observed based on gender, marital status, age, occupation and the experience of poor circulation of blood. The factor that has the greatest influence on satisfaction on wearing skinny jeans was sitting long hours.
