  • Elastomer is extensively used to reduce of vibration machine or structure. Over the years an enormous effort has been put into developing procedures to provide properties of rubber material fur design function. However, there are still a lot of difficulties to analyze static characteristic of rubber components with hyper elasticity and nonlinear large deformation. In this paper material property is obtained by strain-stress curve using a tension test. (omitted)

  • 본 논문에서는 인터넷 QoS(Quality of Service)보장을 위하여 제안된 Diff-Serv(Differentiated Service)모델을 구현하고, QoS 를 보장하지 않는 BE(Best Effort)서비스와 우선 순위가 높은 패킷을 처리하여 QoS 를 보장하는 EF(Expedited Forwarding) 서비스의 차이를 통하여 Diff-Serv 망의 우수성을 입증하고자 한다. Diff-Serv 망은 BB(Bandwidth Broker)와 에지라우터 그리고 다수의 코어라우터로 구성된다. BB 로부터 라우터에 QoS Policy를 전송하기 위하여 COPS(Common Open Policy Service) 프로토콜을 구현하였으며, 사용자와 BB 사이의 SLAT/RAR(Service Level Agreement/Resource Allocation Request)를 처리하기 위하여 Admission Control 이라는 명명한 자체 프로토콜을 개발하였다. 구현된 Diff-Serv 망에서 QoS 보장 테스트를 위하여 19.2Mbps 대역폭이 요구되는 HDTV 스트리밍 서비스를 이용하여 인위적으로 Background Traffic 을 발생시켰을 때, BE 서비스만을 지원하는 망에서는 현저하게 서비스의 질이 떨어지는 반면에 Diff-Serv 망에서는 QoS가 보장됨을 알 수 있었다.

  • Experiments and design efforts have been made to improve performance of the levitation magnet. One pole of the pair-magnet is manufactured as a solid core without stagger and its test result gives a 5 % increment of levitation force. One effort is to make molding coil to protect it from vibration and precifitation due to outdoor usage. In addition, a permeant magnet embedded type has been designed and analyzed by using FEM program.

The Impacts of Social Networks on Individual Adaptation to Technochanges

  • Despite the growing attention to the effective utilization of ICT system in workplace, there is an accumulation of evidence from the literature indicating that organizations do not utilize newly introduced ICT systems to their full functional potential and an amount of new implementations continue to fail. We explore the reasons for the underutilization of new ICT by focusing on the individuals' social networks. This paper investigates how the social networks influence individual adaptation to the new ICT and its related performance. Based on the coping theory, we establish a research model that explains the coping mechanism. Collected data are analyzed to test the proposed model and its hypotheses using PLS and UCINET. The results show that the coping effort mechanism of individuals can be explained in terms of their positions within social networks. We conclude the paper by discussing theoretical and practical implications for the research findings and by proposing future studies.

  • The purpose of this study is to develop a mathematical assessment and correction materials according to the mathematics learning hierarchy. The scope of the study is set to 'function' in 7th grade of middle school. The researchers developed a draft of the mathematical assessment and correction materials based on the mathematics learning hierarchy through the pilot test and the expert review. Using the results of the expert review, the researchers modified and supplemented the math assessment and correction materials to produce the final version. The mathematics assessment and correction material developed in this study is expected to build an effective guidance system for students with mathematics deficits. In addition, by presenting a mathematical assessment and correction materials to the teachers in the field, it is possible to reduce the effort for the management of underachievers and to provide guidance for the education of students with a lack of math learning.

  • As a part of the ongoing effort towards commercial application of high-temperature fuel cell power generation systems, we have recently built a pilot-scale molten carbonate fuel cell power plant and tested it. The stack test system is composed of diverse peripheral units such as reformer, pre-heater, water purifier, electrical loader, gas supplier, and recycling systems. The stack itself was made of 40cells of $6000cm^2$ area each. The stack showed an output higher than 25kW power and a reliable performance at atmospheric operation. A pressurized performance was also tested, and it turned out the cell performance increased though a few cells have shown a symptom of gas crossover. The pressurized operation characteristics could be analyzed with numerical computation results of a stack model.

  • This paper presents human-in-the-loop evaluations of vehicle stability control(VSC) system using a driving simulator. A driving simulator which contains full vehicle nonlinear model is evaluated by using actual vehicle test data on the same driving conditions. Braking control inputs for Vehicle Stability Control system have been directly derived from the sliding control law based on vehicle planar motion equations with differential braking. Closed-loop simulation results at realistic driving situations have shown that the proposed controller reduces driving effort of a driver and enhances stability of a vehicle.

  • The primary objective of this paper is to develop an interactive computer graphic aided decision su, pp.rt system for the design of inspection plans for complex production systems. This research first develops a computer simulator, called Simulator for Inspection Systems(SIS), in order to represent the production system as a network model. The simulator elicits fundamental information about the system from the decision maker(DM) in an interactive manner. A decision su, pp.rt system is then proposed by combining SIS and Compromise Programming. The system simulates a set of possible inspection strategies implicitly, observes all the important measurements about the inspection system, and employs the compromise programming a, pp.oach to help the DM determine the best compromising allocation of inspection effort considering his/her preferences. Finally, the performance of the proposed system is evaluated using two test cases. The pros and cons of the system are also discussed.

  • This survey research investigates how the small and medium industries in Pusan area have considered quality management activities in an effort to strengthen their competitive power. It first develops a set of significant questionnaires anddistributes them to a select group of small and medium regional industries. The survey results are analyzed based on both Cronbach's Alpha value and $x^2$ test. This study shows that the awareness level of quality management varies according to the type of industrial field. This study also proposes that a, pp.opriate quality management strategies are necessary for the regional industries in pusan.

MULTIGRID METHOD FOR TOTAL VARIATION IMAGE DENOISING

  • Total Variation(TV) regularization method is effective for reconstructing "blocky", discontinuous images from contaminated image with noise. But TV is represented by highly nonlinear integro-differential equation that is hard to solve. There have been much effort to obtain stable and fast methods. C. Vogel introduced "the Fixed Point Lagged Diffusivity Iteration", which solves the nonlinear equation by linearizing. In this paper, we apply multigrid(MG) method for cell centered finite difference (CCFD) to solve system arise at each step of this fixed point iteration. In numerical simulation, we test various images varying noises and regularization parameter $\alpha$ and smoothness $\beta$ which appear in TV method. Numerical tests show that the parameter ${\beta}$ does not affect the solution if it is sufficiently small. We compute optimal $\alpha$ that minimizes the error with respect to $L^2$ norm and $H^1$ norm and compare reconstructed images.
