Intelligent Test Plan Metrics on Adaptive Use Case Approach

  • This paper describes a design driven approach to drive intelligent test plan generation based on adaptive use case (3,5). Its foundation is an object-oriented software design approach which partitions design schema into design architecture of functional components called “design component”. A use case software development methodology of adaptive use case approach developed in I.I .T is employed which preserves this unit architecture on through to the actual code structure. Based on the partition design schema produced during the design phase of this methodology, a test plan is generated which includes a set of component and scenario based test. A software metric is introduced which produces an ordering of this set to enhance productivity and both promote and capitalize on test case reusability, This paper contains an application that illustrates the proposed approach.

  • Resonance refers to the magnification of a structural response which occurs when a linear lightly damped system is driven with a sinusoidal input at its natural frequency. An exploratory vibration test (a natural frequency measurement test) is very important for the vibration testing of machine parts, as the value measured in an actual laboratory affects test results. For this reason, it is necessary to estimate the measurement uncertainty to verify the reliability of this type of test. In this study, measurement uncertainty is estimated based on three uncertainty factors. The uncertain factors are the measured points in the machine parts, the resolution of the vibration equipment, and uncertainty of the calibration certificate.

  • In this research, a material test machine is developed which uses a small electro-magnetic actuator and a leverage mechanism. The leverage mechanism amplifies the force from the electro-magnetic actuator. The electro-magnetic part operates more silently and cleanly than a hydraulic part. In a tooth material study, a test machine does not require a large force capacity because it handles only $4mm^2$-sectioned and short-span specimens. Conventional test machines such as those by Instron and the BOSE Enduratec ELF3200 have too high aforce capacity for a tooth material study. A test machine for a tooth material study requires an acting force only on the order of tens of Newtons (N) operating at several Hertz.

  • This paper deals with the broadband electromagnetic emission test of a hybrid electric vehicle. The hybrid electric vehicle's powertrain system consists of an internal combustion engine and an EV traction motor. Depending on the SOC of the traction battery, these modes change automatically in the running state. The Korea electromagnetic compatibility regulations of KMVSS and UN WP.29 stipulated the evaluation method of hybrid electric vehicles. This study analyzes and compares two test results: internal combustion and electric motor mode. Some problems of test conditions are described and an improved test method is proposed for measuring broadband emissions of a hybrid electric vehicle. As a result, we expect this paper to be used as a consideration for improvement when test specifications are revised in the future.

  • This paper describes the full load test results of IGBT VVVF inverter for the railway propulsion system. The 1,650kVA IGBT VVVF inverter has been developed. Therefore, the field test is performed in SMG 6 Line to confirm its the reliability and performance. The train consists of 4M4T(4 Motor car 4 Trailer Car) and the electrical equipment for field test are as follows VVVF inverter 4 sets, 16 traction motors and 2 SIVs. The propulsion system is composed with IC4M(1-Controller 4-Motors). The results of propulsion system which have the excellent acceleration/deceleration and the jerk characteristics as well as starting ability on slope are taken through the field test.

  • In this study, the evaluation for utilization of waste landfill was performed by field test to use waste landfill as construction site(Nangido in Seoul). The site where dynamic compaction test was carried out was divided by 4 yards. Yard 1, 2 were not eliminated widening of cover soil and Yard 3, 4 were eliminated it. Dynamic Compaction Pilot Test was carried out by the 15ton heavy tamper with drop height of 20m in Yard 1, 3 and with drop height of 15m in Yard 2, 4 We evaluated the compaction ability, optimum compaction number and noiseㆍvibration through field test, monitoring. To make use of waste landfill as a construction site, The dynamic compaction method is suitable for using in waste landfill as a construction site among the ground improvement methods.

  • This study was performed to investigate the usefulness of the radiopaque material as a disintegration test of enteric coated capsules radiologically. The results obtained were as follows; 1. The times that the enteric coated capsules passed the pylorus(GI transition times) were the first 150 minute and the last 390 minutes. Therefore, the GI transition times largely differ from each animal and each enteric coated capsule. 2. The disintegration times of enteric coated capsules were similar in vitro test and in vitro test. 3. The disintegration test of enteric coated capsules using Barium sulfate, radiopaque material for the gastrointestinal track, was useful to check the time pass through the pylorus and the time enteric coated capsules were disintegration.

  • The failures such as leakage and burst stemmed from the repetitive motions of bending and stretching of the assembly of hydraulic hose in construction machines, agriculture machines, vehicles, and industrial heavy machines can induce big troubles. Therefore, the hydraulic hose itself eventually requires an estimation of life to operate the hydraulic system safely. In this research, we have qualitatively selected the efficient test items by the analysis of the life and potential failures of hydraulic hose. We have used more than seven of hydraulic hoses simultaneously for the research. We have applied impulse pressure and half omega flexing motions to the accelerated life testing Test results have been expressed by employing weibull plot.

  • Whether to use linear or quadratic model in the analysis of regression data is one of the important problems in classical regression model and measurement error model (MEM). In MEM, four goodness of fit test statistics are available In solving that problem. Two are from the derivation of estimators of quadratic MEM, and one is from that of the general $k^{th}$-order polynomial MEM. The fourth one is derived as a variation of goodness of fit test statistic used in linear MEM. The purpose of this paper is to find the most powerful test statistic among them through the small-scale simulation.

  • The engine is the most significant and essential part of the aircraft. As a result, systematical handling in the aircraft development stage is required from engine design to implementation to the full-scale airframe. This survey demonstrates the procedures demanded by the KAS 23 Civil Aircraft to acquire the engine Type Certification and the flight test procedures for ensuring the operational stability. Surveys were conducted on domestic and international aircraft engine certifications, technical regulations and documentations related to the Means of Compliance for flight test development stage. In addition, organized reference items that should be considered for the certification of engine flight test procedures were reviewed based on the KC-100.
