  • On the stage of combustor development process, many aerodynamic and combustion characteristics are found out not by only ideal design concept but by only useful tests which are top confidentiality of technically advanced engine development companies, RR and GE, etc. In this study, test techniques of one of that company are analysed and described about some unique tests for test low emission combustors.

  • The house of quality (HOQ) involves subjective and ambiguous information typically through a likert scale, It isimportant to validate consistency of such input in the HOQ before rating the fmal importance of technicalrequirements, Previously, a methodology was developed to test the consistency of relationship strengths in theHOQ between roof matrix and relationship matrix. We described disadvantages of the previous method andpropose a new approach based on the permutation test. Advantages of the proposed method are illustrated withan example.

  • Recent test data compression techniques raise concerns regarding power dissipation and compression efficiency. This letter proposes a new test data compression scheme, twin symbol encoding, that supports block division skills that can reduce hardware overhead. Our experimental results show that the proposed technique achieves both a high compression ratio and low-power dissipation. Therefore, the proposed scheme is an attractive solution for efficient test data compression.

  • In this paper, an accelerated life test procedure for a vacuum cleaner motor is proposed. We investigate the failure mechanism of the motor and select some accelerating factors and determine the orifice size as a key accelerating factor. Three stress levels of orifice size are tested and the failure data with censored data are analyzed. The modified accelerating test will reduce the test time in design phase by using the accelerating factor.

  • An adaptive distribution-free test is proposed for testing the equality of k independent distributions against unrestricted alternatives. In this paper, several rank-sum test statistics are considered as teh components of the adaptive one. The emprical powers of the adaptive testing procedure are compared to those of the classical F test and the component tests through a Monte Carlo study. The results show that the adaptive test has good power properties over a wide class of underlying distributions.

  • An approximate Bayes criterion for Behrens-Fisher problem (testing equality of means of two normal populations with unequal variances) is proposed and examined. Development of the criterion involves derivation of approximate Bayes factor using the imaginary training sample approachintroduced by Spiegelhalter and Smith (1982). The proposed criterion is designed to develop a Bayesian test criterion having a closed form, so that it provides an alternative test to those based upon asymptotic sampling theory (such as Welch's t test). For the suggested Bayes criterion, numerical study gives comparisons with a couple of asymptotic classical test criteria.

  • This paper develops a consistent nonparametric test for Granger causality in the context of strong-mixing process, which covers a large class of stationary processes including ARMA and ARCH models. The previously proposed tests require absolute regularity ($\beta$-mixing) more stringent than the strong-mixing condition. We prove the consistency of the test under a high level assumption on the approximation error of U statistic by its projection. Due to the sample splitting, the test statistic we propose is asymptotically normally distributed under the null.

  • This paper proposes an advanced test circuit for detecting the connectivity between a drum ring of laser printer and PCB. The detection circuit of charge sharing is proposed, which minimizes the influences of internal parasitic capacitances. The test circuit is composed of precharge circuit, analog comparator, level shifter. Its functional operation is verified using $0.6{\mu}m$ 3.3V/40V CMOS process parameter by HSPICE. Access time is100ns. Layout of the drum contact test circuit is $465{\mu}m\;{\times}\;117{\mu}m$.

  • This paper introduces an algorithm which uses MUIO and the shortest paths to minimize the length of test sequence. The length of test sequence is equal to the total number of the edges in a symmetric test graph $G^{*}$. Therefore, it is important to make a $G^{*}$ with the least number of the edges. This algorithm is based on the one proposed Shen[2]. It needs the complexity to make shortest paths but reduces the thest sequence by 1.0~9.8% over the Shen's algorithm. and this technique, directly, derives a symmetric test graph from an FMS.

  • We consider a nonparametric test procedure for the multi-sample problem with grouped data. We construct the test statistics based on the scores obtained from the likelihood ratio principle and derive the limiting distribution under the null hypothesis. Also we illustrate our procedure with an example and obtain the asymptotic properties under the Pitman translation alternatives. Also we discuss some concluding remarks. Finally we derive the covariance between components in the Appendix.
