Test of Independence in a Markov Dependent Waiting-time Distribution

  • A procedure for the test of independence of the observations and the null distribution are studied for a waiting-time distribution of the number of Bernoulli trials required to obtain a preassigned number of successes under Markov dependence. Selected critical values for the test statistic are tabulated.

  • In this test, two separated oil jacks were placed at bottom of drilled shaft(D = 1,500mm, L = 33m), and maximum upward and downward load of 1,250 tonf was applied. Also, the deformable rod sensors were placed on each level, and axial strains at each level were measured. Because the side skin friction and the end bearing could be measured separately in the Osterberg type pile load test, this test might be more economical and more applicable than a conventional static pile load test. Thus, if this Osterberg type pile load test could be established during design stage, construction cost might be reduced and its application for large diameter pile could be enhance greatly.

  • The synthetic short-circuit making test to adequately stress the circuit breaker has been specified as the mandatory test duty in the IEC 62271-100. The purpose of this test is to give the maximum pre-arcing energy during making operation. And this requires the making operation with symmetrical short-circuit current that is established when the breakdown between contact gap occurs near the crest of the applied voltage. Also, if the interrupting chamber of circuit breakers is designed as the type of common enclosure or the operation is made by the gang operated mechanism that three-phase contacts are operated by one common mechanism, three-phase synthetic making test is basically required. Therefore, several testing laboratories have developed and proposed their own test circuits to properly evaluate the breaker performance. With these technical backgrounds, we have developed the new alternative three-phase making circuit.

방패연을 이용한 저비용 비행시험장치 개발 (Development of Low Cost Flight Test Equipment by Using Bang-pai Kite)

  • In this study, we design a low-cost test equipment for real-time image observation and transmission/reception distance test using 1m by 1.5m bang-pai kite. The image observation is made by using two servo motors to enable the camera to control the two axis attitude. The image observation equipment is hung on the string of a kite and the test is performed to observe the real time image. The transmission and reception distance test of the wireless RF transceiver module is conducted on the ground and in the air.

  • Inlet distortion test was performed at Korea Aerospace Research Institute in order to evaluate the degradation of engine performance under the distorted inlet condition. In this paper, only the inlet pressure distortion was taken into consideration. During the development process of the inlet distortion test technique, variable distortion screen was designed and evaluated under various test conditions to establish the experimental database of distortion for engine test. The result of inlet distortion test for engine shows that the operating point was changed toward the worse direction and the degradation of engine performance by inlet distortion was verified.

경도(輕度) 갑상선기능항진증환자(甲狀腺機能亢進症患者)에서 TRH 자극시험(刺戟試驗)과 $T_3$ 억제시험(抑制試驗)과의 비교연구(比較硏究) (TRH Stimulation Tests Compared with $T_3$ Suppression Tests in Patients With Marginal Hyperthyroidism)

  • TRH stimulation tests and $T_3$ suppression tests were done in 13 patients with clinically suspected mild or early hyperthyroidism who were all conventional thyroid function tests gave results within the accepted normal range. The results were as follows 1. 6 patients with normal $T_3$ suppression test revealed normal TRH stimulation test and could be easily diagnosed as euthyroidism. 2. 7 patients with abnormal $T_3$ suppression test exhibited no TSH response to TRH stimulation test and could be easily diagnosed as hyperthyroidism. The TRH stimulation test is a single, sensitive and reliable test of thyroid function and can well replace $T_3$ suppression test in the diagnosis of marginal hyperthyroidism.

BeCu 금속박판을 이용한 테스트 소켓 제작 (Fabrication of Test Socket from BeCu Metal Sheet)

  • We have developed a cost effective test socket for ball grid array(BGA) integrated circuit(IC) packages using BeCu metal sheet as a test probe. The BeCu furnishes the best combination of electrical conductivity and corrosion resistance. The probe of the test socket was designed with a BeCu cantilever. The cantilever was designed with a length of 450 ${\mu}m$, a width of 200 ${\mu}m$, a thickness of 10 ${\mu}m$, and a pitch of 650 ${\mu}m$ for $11{\times}11$ BGA. The fabrication of the test socket used techniques such as through-silicon-via filling, bonding silicon wafer and BeCu metal sheet with dry film resist(DFR). The test socket is applicable for BGA IC chip.

  • 이 논문에서는 카이제곱 구형 대칭성 검정을 제안한다. 이 검정은 검정통계량과 점근적 유의확률을 쉽게 계산할 수 있는 장점이 있다. 이 통계량의 구형 대칭성 가정하의 극한 분포를 도출하고 유한표본에서 잘 부합되는지 모의실험을 통해 살펴본다. 또한 다양한 대립분포에서 기존의 구형 대칭성 검정과 검정력을 비교하는 모의실험을 수행하며 마지막으로 실제 자료 분석 예제를 제공한다.

  • Recently, ship maneuverability has been very important issue due to accidents of frequent occurrence at sea. IMO standards for ship maneuverability were applied from January 1, 2004. In this study, maneuverability model tests were considered through a 2m-class KVLCC1 in the Ocean Engineering Wide Tank at University of Ulsan(UOU). Circular Motion Test(CMT) was performed to obtain the maneuvering coefficients by using X-Y Carriage. The trajectories simulated using the coefficients are compared with those of PMM test and free running test.

견인전동기 고정자 권선의 절연상태 분석 (Analysis of Insulation Condition in Traction Motor Stator Windings)

  • Diagnostic, surge and ac breakdown tests are widely used to evaluate the insulation condition of stator winding in traction motor. Diagnostic test included ac current, tan delta and maximum partial discharge. The result of diagnostic test indicates that five kinds of stator windings are good condition. Surge test was peformed to confirm the healthy of turn insulation in stator windings. This test is very easy to detect the turn insulation failure between normal and defect stator windings. After completing the diagnostic test, ac breakdown test has conducted gradually increasing ac voltage, until the stator winding punctured. No. 5 stator windings failed near rated voltage of 18.9 kV The breakdown voltage of No. 1 stator windings was 13.0 kV The ac breakdown voltage of normal winding is about 1.45 times higher than that of defect windings. The failure was located in a line-end coil at the exit from the core slot.
