In the long-term care insurance (LTCI) system, National Health Insurance Service (NHIS) provide counseling services for beneficiaries and their family caregivers, which help them use LTC services appropriately. The purpose of this study was to develop a Target Selection Model for the Counseling Services based on needs of beneficiaries and their family caregivers. To develope models, we used data set of total 2,000 beneficiaries and family caregivers who have used the long-term care services in their home in March 2013 and completed questionnaires. The Target Selection Model was established through various data-mining models such as logistic regression, gradient boosting, Lasso, decision-tree model, Ensemble, and Neural network. Lasso model was selected as the final model because of the stability, high performance and availability. Our results might improve the satisfaction and the efficiency for the NHIS counseling services.
The purpose of this study is to investigate how the communication barriers which patients have at the dental clinic affect the patient's satisfaction and long term sustainable relationship. The subjects of this study were 214 patients from the dental clinic and the analysis was conducted using PASW Statistics 18.0 and IBM SPSS AMOS 21. As the results of factor analysis, the communication barriers were divided to four factors: one-sided communication, lack of trust and concern, patient and environment. In conclusion, the results of this study showed that the communication barriers which patients have with hygienist affected the patient's satisfaction and long term sustainable relationship. So It is imperative that the hygienist makes a concerted effort to ensure the comfort and trust of their patients. In cases where a patient shows discomfort or dissatisfaction, it is important that the hygienist guarantees open communication to the patient in order to gain their trust. Failing to do so may result in difficulties when trying to build a strong client base.

We analyzed statistics study in 1695 patients, who had visited to the Dept. of surgery, ophthalmology & otolaryngology Hospital of Downtown Orirental Medicine Kyung Hee University from March, 1996 to July, 1998. The results were as follows. 1. Distribution of ophthalmology, otolaryngology and dermatology classification was $43.48\%\;in\;ophthalmology,\;16.70\%\;in\;rhinology,\;5.72\%\;in\;laryngology,\;17.94\%\;in\;dermatology\;and\;16.17\%$ in otiatrics. 2. Ophthalmology group were $31.93\%$ males and $47.90\%$ females in 10 years old within. In treatment term, opthalmology patients who had treated for 1 month within was $59.70\%$. Strabismus and visual disorder was the most common ophthalmo-disease. 3. Rhinology group were $30.00\%$ males in 10 years old within and $21.56\%$ females in 21-30years old. In treatmentm, rhinology patients who had treated for 1 month within was $53.71\%$. Rhinitis and sinusitis was the most common rhinio-disease. 4. Otiatrics group were $30.54\%$ males in 41-50 years old and $31.78\%$ females in 51-60 years old. In treatment term, otiatries patients who had treated for 1 month within was $53.28\%$. Tinnitus, hearing loss and otitis media was the most common otiatrics-disease. 5. Laryngology group were $29.27\%$ males in 31-40 years old and $28.57\%$ females in 51-60 years old. In treatment term. Laryngology patients who had treated for 1 month within was $91.75\%$ Epipharyngitis and abnormal sensation pharyngolarylgeal region was the most common laryngo-disease. 6. Dermatology group were $39.82\%$ males and $39.79\%$ females in 21-30 years old. In treatment term, dematology patients who had treated for 1 month within was $83.55\%$. Acne and Pruritus was the most common ophthalmo-disease.
Background/Aims: Endoscopic submucosal dissection (ESD) has been established as a treatment modality for superficial esophageal squamous cell carcinoma (ESCC). Long-term follow-up data are lacking in Western countries. The aim of this study was to analyze long-term survival in a Western center. Methods: Patients undergoing ESD for ESCC were included. The analysis was performed retrospectively using a prospectively collected database. Results: R0 resection rate was 96.7% (59/61 lesions in 58 patients). Twenty-seven patients (46.6%) fulfilled the curative resection criteria (M1/M2) (group A), 11 patients (19.0%) had M3 lesions without lymphovascular invasion (LVI) (group B), and 20 patients (34.5%) had lesions with submucosal invasion or LVI (group C). Additional treatment was recommended after non-curative resection. It was not performed in 20/31 patients (64.5%), mainly because of comorbidities (75%). Twenty-nine out of 58 (50.0%) patients died during a mean follow-up of 3.7 years. Death was related to ESCC in 17.2% (5/29) of patients. The disease-specific survival rate after curative resection was 100%. Overall survival rates after 5 years were 61.5%, 63.6% and 28.1% for groups A, B, and C, respectively. The overall survival was significantly worse after non-curative resection (p=0.038). Conclusions: Non-curative resection is frequent after ESD for ESCC in Western patients. The long-term prognosis is limited and mainly determined by comorbidity. Early diagnosis and pre-interventional assessments need to be improved.

The importance of efficient enterprise network management has been emphasized continuously because of the rapid utilization of Internet in a limited resource environment. For the efficient network management, the management policy that reflects the characteristics of a specific network extracted from long-term traffic analysis is essential. However, the long-term traffic data could not be handled in the past and there was only simple analysis with the shot-term traffic data. However, as the big data analytics platforms are developed, the long-term traffic data can be analyzed easily. Recently, enterprise network resource efficiency through the long-term traffic analysis is required. In this paper, we propose the methods of collecting, storing and managing the long-term enterprise traffic data. We define several classification categories, and propose a novel network resource efficiency through the multidirectional statistical analysis of classified long-term traffic. The proposed method adopted to the campus network for the evaluation. The analysis results shows that, for the efficient enterprise network management, the QoS policy must be adopted in different rules that is tuned by time, space, and the purpose.

Small sample likelihood based inference for the shape parameter of the inverse Gaussian distribution is the purpose of this paper. When shape parameter is of interest, the signed log-likelihood ratio statistic and the modified signed log-likelihood ratio statistic are derived. Hsieh (1990) gave a statistical inference for the shape parameter based on an exact method. Throughout simulation, we will compare the statistical properties of the proposed statistics to the statistic given by Hsieh (1990) in term of confidence interval and power of test. We also discuss a real data example.
While characterized initially as an urban-scale pollutant, ozone has increasingly been recognized as a regional and even global-scale phenomenon. The complexity of environmental data dynamics often requires models covering non-linearity. This study deals with modeling ozone with meteorology in Seoul area. The relationships are used to construct a nonlinear regression model relating ozone to meteorology. The model can be used to estimate that part of the trend in ozone levels that cannot be accounted for by trends in meteorology.

Cointegration(together with VARMA(vector ARMA)) has been proven to be useful for analyzing multivariate non-stationary data in the field of financial time series. It provides a linear combination (which turns out to be stationary series) of non-stationary component series. This linear combination equation is referred to as long term equilibrium between the component series. We consider two sets of Korean bivariate financial time series and then illustrate cointegration analysis. Specifically estimated VAR(vector AR) and VECM(vector error correction model) are obtained and CV(cointegrating vector) is found for each data sets.

In this paper we derive a Berry-Esseen type bound for the kernel density estimator of a random left truncated model, in which each datum (Y) is randomly left truncated and is sampled if $Y{\geq}T$, where T is the truncation random variable with an unknown distribution. This unknown distribution is estimated with the Lynden-Bell estimator. In particular the normal approximation rate, by choice of the bandwidth, is shown to be close to $n^{-1/6}$ modulo logarithmic term. We have also investigated this normal approximation rate via a simulation study.
Effects of order misspecification on statistical behavior of unit root tests are studied. We derive the limiting distributions of the Dickey-Fuller test statistics whose numerators are of the form c .int. W dW + .kappa. where W is a standard Brownian motion on [0, 1] and c is a real number. The term .kappa. is a major consequence of order misspecification and its explict expression is derived. Based on an analysis of .kappa., effects of order misspecification on unit root tests for AR(2), ARMA(1, 1), and AR(3) models are investigated.
