This study aims to identify the status of oral care of professional soldiers and analyze the relationship between oral care needs and oral health symptoms based on oral health recognition, thus providing an opportunity to create a system for improving oral health of professional soldiers. The study was conducted on a total of 232 military personnel aged 19 or older who were employed in the military. The questionnaire for this study was commissioned to respond by explaining the purpose of the study and how to respond to the survey by telephone with the selected sub-employer. The content included in the questionnaire consisted of general characteristics, oral care status, and awareness of dental hygienists. When the subjective oral health condition was poor, normal, or good, it was all shown that the toothbrush was done more than three times a day, and the oral examination was all examined. In particular, 68.1 percent of the respondents said they were in good subjective health. Preventive treatment was the highest in the group with good subjective oral health. Of the total respondents, 83.6 percent said "yes" to the question of knowing dental hygienists, while 65.5 percent said "yes" to the question of whether they know the work of dental hygienists, recognizing that most of the respondents were aware of dental hygienists and their work. Both the group that said they knew the dental hygienist and the group that said they did not know answered 43.5% as an assistant. In conclusion, oral health projects will have to be carried out in line with military situations in order to maintain a healthy oral state of professional soldiers, and long-term planning for active oral health care, especially as an important role of personnel in charge of health care in the military is needed.
This study aimed to understand the interrelationships between tree species in plant communities through Plant Social Network (PSN) analysis using a large amount of vegetation data surveyed in an island area belonging to a warm-temperate boreal forest. The Machilus thunbergii, Castanopsis sieboldii, and Ligustrum japonicum, which belong to the canopy layer, Pittosporum tobira and Ardisia japonica, which belong to the shrub layer and Trachelospermum asiaticum and Stauntonia hexaphylla, which belong to the vines, appearing in evergreen broad-leaved climax forest community, showed strong positive association(+) with each other. These tree species had a negative association or no friendly relationship with deciduous broad-leaved species due to the large difference in location environments. Divided into 4 group modularizations in the PSN sociogram, evergreen broad-leaved tree species in Group I and deciduous broad-leaved tree species in Group II showed high centrality and connectivity. It was analyzed that the arrangement of tree species (nodes) and the degree of connection (grouping) of the sociogram can indirectly estimate environmental factors and characteristics of plant communities like DCA. Tree species with high centrality and influence in the PSN included T. asiaticum, Eurya japonica, Lindera obtusiloba, and Styrax japonicus. These tree species are common with a wide range of ecological niches and appear to have the characteristics and survival strategies of opportunistic species that commonly appear in forest gaps and damaged areas. They will play a major role in inter-species interactions and structural and functional changes in plant communities. In the future, long-term research and in-depth discussions are needed to determine how these species actually influence plant community changes through interactions
In the House of the Parliament of Kazakhstan, which members are re-elected several times, while others are only first-term? Existing studies on the Kazakhstan political elites have mainly discussed the effect of clans on the appointment or replacement of elites. These studies have contributed to explaining the characteristics of Kazakhstan's clientelistic political structure, but the analysis of the relationship between political background and elite appointment or replacement is very poor. The purpose of this study is to analyze what characteristics of members have continuity in the 4th to 8th House of the Parliament of Kazakhstan. As a result, members with activities in Communist Party of the Soviet Union had a higher average seniority than those who did not in the 4th, 6th, and 7th House of the Parliament. And Nur Otan members had a higher average seniority than those who did not in 4th and 5th House of the Parliament. On the other hand, there was no difference in average seniority by local political experience, and the difference by elite type was only partially found in the 6th House of the Parliament. These results reflect the president's strategy for parliamentary control in that the parliament is used as a means of solidifying Kazakhstan's political regime as an authoritarian state. The significance of this study is that for the first time it empirically proved who sustains political survival in the House of the Parliament of Kazakhstan.

In modern society, where tension and stress are ubiquitous, individuals often experience psychological imbalances. These stressors not only affect mental well-being but also manifest physically, through the skin. Consequently, a new term psychodermatology combining psychiatry and dermatology, has emerged, garnerning attention and research focus. In this study, we aimed to develop materials improving chronic skin conditions caused by stress by utilizing a compound of Cucurbita moschata, Paeonia japonica, and Prunus cerasus known to alleviate skin disorders. We sought to develop and validate the efficacy of materials alleviating chronic skin conditions induced by stress in keratinocytes..Therefore, in this study we analyzed the effects of a complex extract using Cucurbita moschata, Paeonia japonica, and Prunus cerasus on HaCaT keratinocyte cells to understand how it influences them. The complex extract on HaCaT keratinocyte cells showed a concentration-dependent decrease in the expression levels of TNF-α, IL-1β, IL-6, MDC, and TARC at concentrations of 12.5, 25, 50 and 100 ㎍/mL. Particularly noteworthy was the efficacy observed in inhibiting IL-1β, with a reduction of over 40% at a concentration of 100 ㎍/mL. Additionally, the production levels of AQP-3, HA, and filaggrin exhibited a significant concentration-dependent increase. The protein expression of p-ERK, p-JNK, and p-p38, which were elevated by TNF-α/IFN-γ, was significantly decreased with the treatment of the complex extract. These findings suggest that the compound extract may be utilized as a material for treating and preventing skin conditions, potentially mitigating the adverse effects of the mutual relationship between skin disorders and stress.
In the pursuit of sustainable and environmentally-friendly agricultural practices, we conducted an extensive study on the rhizosphere bacteria inhabiting soils that have been devoid of chemical fertilizers for an extended period exceeding 40 years. Through this investigation, we isolated a total of 80 species of plant growth-promoting rhizosphere bacteria and assessed their potential to enhance plant growth. Among these isolates, Burkholderia cepacia CD2 displayed remarkable plant growth-promoting activity, making it an optimal candidate for further analysis. Burkholderia cepacia CD2 exhibited a range of beneficial characteristics conducive to plant growth, including phosphate solubilization, siderophore production, denitrification, nitrate utilization, and urease activity. These attributes are well-known to positively influence the growth and development of plants. To validate the taxonomic classification of the strain, 16S rRNA gene sequencing confirmed its placement within the Burkholderia genus, providing further insights into its phylogenetic relationship. To delve deeper into the potential mechanisms underlying its plant growth-promoting properties, we sought to confirm the presence of specific genes associated with plant growth promotion in CD2. To achieve this, whole genome sequencing (WGS) was performed by Plasmidsaurus Inc. (USA) utilizing Oxford Nanopore technology (Abingdon, UK). The WGS analysis of the genome of CD2 revealed the existence of a subsystem function, which is thought to be a pivotal factor contributing to improved plant growth. Based on these findings, it can be concluded that Burkholderia cepacia CD2 has the potential to serve as a microbial fertilizer, offering a sustainable alternative to chemical fertilizers.
Purpose: The unique nature of life-and-death healthcare services sets them apart from other service industries. While many studies exist on the relationship between healthcare services and customer satisfaction, most of them focus on mildly ill patients, ignoring the differences between critically ill and non-seriously ill patients. This study discusses the actual quality of healthcare services for patients who are facing life-threatening illnesses and are on life support, as well as their right to protection and dignity. Methods: The survey conducted to 149 patients with the four major illnesses: cancer, heart disease, brain disease and rare and incurable disease, those who have experiences with senior general hospitals. Results: The basic statistics of this study are adequate to represent the four major critical illnesses, and the reliability and validity of this study's hypotheses, which were measured by multiple items, were analyzed, and the internal consistency was judged to be high. In addition, it was found that the convergent validity was good and the discriminant validity was also secured. When examining the goodness of fit of the hypotheses, the SRMR, which is the standardized root mean square of residuals that measures the difference between the covariance matrix of the data variables and the theoretical covariance matrix structure of the model, met the optimal criteria. Conclusion: The academic implications of this study are differentiated from other studies by moving away from evaluating the quality of healthcare services for mildly ill patients and focusing on the rights and dignity of patients with life-threatening illnesses in four senior general hospitals. In terms of academic implications, this study enriches the depth of related studies by demonstrating the right to protection and dignity as a factor of patient-centeredness based on physical environment quality, interaction quality, and outcome quality, which are presented as sub-factors of healthcare quality. We found that the three quality factors classified by Brady and Cronin (2001) are optimized for healthcare quality assessment and management, and that the results of patients' interaction quality assessment can be used to provide a comprehensive quality rating for hospitals. Health and human rights are inextricably linked, so assessing the degree to which rights and dignity are protected can be a superior and more comprehensive measurement tool than traditional health level measures for healthcare organizations. Practical implications: Improving the quality of the physical environment and the quality of outcomes is an important challenge for hospital managers who attract patients with life and death conditions, but given the scale and economics of time, money, and human inputs, improving the quality of interactions and defining them as performance indicators in hospital quality management is an efficient way to create maximum value in the short term.
This study analyzed lineaments and fault-related landforms in Chungcheongnam-do, central Korean Peninsula, based on historical and instrumental records, given its susceptibility to future earthquakes. We extracted 151 lineaments associated with fault-related landforms. In regions with the Dangjin and Yesan faults, lineaments with strikes matching these faults were densely distributed. Conversely, in the Hongseong Fault area, the number of lineaments was smaller, and those with strikes similar to the fault were less discernible. This is likely due to the extensive distribution of alluvium and surface deformation from long-term weathering, erosion, and cultivation, which obscures geomorphic evidence of faults. At five key fault points, we identified fault-related landforms, such as fault saddles, knickpoints in Quaternary alluvium, and linear valleys, along the lineament, which may indicate an actual fault. However, the displacements of the Quaternary layer within the lineaments appear to be influenced more by external factors, such as artificial disturbances (e.g., cultivation) or stream erosion, than by direct fault movement. The differences between the fault-related landforms in this study area and those in the southeastern Korean Peninsula suggest a specific relationship between fault types and their associated landforms.

In this study, an expert survey was conducted using the Delphi technique to select items and indicators for evaluation before installing educational facilities in the marine fisheries safety field, in which the educational infrastructure gap between regions is wide. Seven indicators were selected as geographic, social, and administrative factors. In order to objectively evaluate each indicator, evaluation indicators that could be evaluated using public data such as the "Comprehensive National Balanced Development Information System" and "National Statistical Portal" were developed. The Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) method was applied to select the weight for each indicator, resulting in 10 most important influencing factors on the selection of the location of educational facilities of the Marine Fisheries Safety Education Facilities: the distribution of marine officers, access to high-speed railways, the number of small ships less than 5 tons, access to highways interchange, the distribution of fishing boats, the close relationship of related industries, the planned new port, the distribution of commercial ports, the number of marine leisure riders, and the availability of long-term land leases in local government councils. The location evaluation index of marine and fishery safety education facilities developed in this study can be used to evaluate each region using national public data, and has the advantage of enabling objective evaluation. Therefore, it is judged that this evaluation index can be used to verify the feasibility of installing marine fisheries safety education facilities as well as other marine-related facilities.
Purpose of Study: The purpose of this study was to analyze children's play patterns in gardening. Through this, we aimed to have significance as basic research to find ways to support children's play in gardening. Research Contents and Methods: From August to October 2022, a total of 15 participant observations and interviews were conducted with 13 children (9 4-year-olds, 4 5-year-olds) aged 4-5 years at J Daycare Center in Gyeonggi-do. The collected data was transcribed, categorized, and analyzed. Conclusions and suggestions: Children's play patterns in gardening were 'sympathetic play', 'intuitive play', and 'imaginative play'. In the garden, where nature can be easily accessed, children shared emotional interactions and feelings with nature through peer relationships. Children encountered nature in the garden and experienced intuitive, sensory play. Children made up plants, animals, and objects related to the garden and showed their imagination. Children's playfulness was revealed in gardening, and sensitivity and curiosity about changes in nature were revealed through continuous interest in nature through understanding of the mutually beneficial relationship with nature. Gardening should be approached as a long-term, continuous experience rather than a hands-on or one-time experience.

The purpose of this study is to monitor changes in the water surface of reservoirs in verifiable areas in Korea using satellite images and to analyze the water surface area and water storage. The target area of this study is the Daecheong dam of the Geumgang(Riv.), which supplies water to some areas in the Chungcheong area. A study was conducted to detect water surface area by using the Sentinel-1(SAR-C) image and the optical image of Sentinel-2(MSI) among the various observation sensors of satellite images. The correlation between the reservoir's water storage volume, which is ground measurement data, and the extracted water surface area was analyzed. As a result of the analysis, the coefficient of determination(R2) between water surface area and daily storage using SAR images was analyzed to be 0.9242, and in the analysis using Sentinel-2's MSI optical image, it was analyzed to be correlated at 0.8995. In addition, it is analyzed that the water storage volume of the water surface area extracted from the image using the relationship between the water storage volume and the water surface area represents a hydrograph similar to the actual water storage volume. This study is a basic study for the use of satellite images in unmeasured/non-access areas such as North Korea, and plans to conduct a study to analyze annual changes and long-term trends in major dam reservoirs in North Korea by reflecting the results obtained through this study.
