In this paper, the thermal post-buckling behavior of graphene platelets reinforced metal foams (GPLRMFs) plate with initial geometric imperfections on nonlinear elastic foundations are studied. First, the governing equation is derived based on the first-order shear deformation theory (FSDT) of plate. To obtain a single equation that only contains deflection, the Galerkin principle is employed to solve the governing equation. Subsequently, a comparative analysis was conducted with existing literature, thereby verifying the correctness and reliability of this paper. Finally, considering three GPLs distribution types (GPL-A, GPL-B, and GPL-C) of plates, the effects of initial geometric imperfections, foam distribution types, foam coefficients, GPLs weight fraction, temperature changes, and elastic foundation stiffness on the thermal post-buckling characteristics of the plates were investigated. The results show that the GPL-A distribution pattern exhibits the best buckling resistance. And with the foam coefficient (GPLs weight fraction, elastic foundation stiffness) increases, the deflection change of the plate under thermal load becomes smaller. On the contrary, when the initial geometric imperfection (temperature change) increases, the thermal buckling deflection increases. According to the current research situation, the results of this article can play an important role in the thermal stability analysis of GPLRMFs plates.

Mo-Cu alloys have been widely used for heat sink materials, vacuum technology, automobile and many other applications due to their excellent physical and electronic properties. Especially, Mo-Cu composites with 5~20 wt% copper are widely used for the heavy duty service contacts due to their excellent properties like low coefficient of thermal expansion, wear resistance, high temperature strength and prominent electrical and thermal conductivity. In most of the applications, high dense Mo-Cu materials with homogeneous microstructure are required for high performance, which has led in turn to attempts to prepare ultra-fine and well-dispersed Mo-Cu powders in different ways, such as spray drying and reduction process, electroless plating technique, mechanical alloying process and gelatification-reduction process. However, most of these methods were accomplished at high temperature (typically degree), resulting in undesirable growth of large Cu phases; furthermore, these methods usually require complicated experimental facilities and procedure. In this study, Mo-Cu alloying were prepared by planetary ball milling (PBM) and spark plasma sintering (SPS) and the effect of Cu with contents of 5~20 wt% on the microstructure and properties of Mo-Cu alloy has been investigated.

Impedance and electrical conduction studies of $Ba(Nd_{1/2}Nb_{1/2})O_3$ ceramic prepared using conventional high temperature solid-state reaction technique are presented. The crystal symmetry, space group and unit cell dimensions were estimated using Rietveld analysis. X-ray diffraction analysis indicated the formation of a single-phase cubic structure with space group $Pm\bar{3}m$. Energy dispersive X-ray analysis and scanning electron microscopy studies were carried to study the quality and purity of compound. The circuit model fittings were carried out using the impedance data to find the correlation between the response of real system and idealized model electrical circuit. Complex impedance analyses suggested the dielectric relaxation to be of non-Debye type and negative temperature coefficient of resistance character. The correlated barrier hopping model was employed to successfully explain the mechanism of charge transport in $Ba(Nd_{1/2}Nb_{1/2})O_3$. The ac conductivity data were used to evaluate the density of states at Fermi level, minimum hopping length and apparent activation energy.
we have studied characterization of microbolometer based on the co-sputtered silicon-antimony ($Si_{1-x}Sb_x$) thin film for infrared microbolometer. We have investigated the resistivity and the temperature coefficient of resistance (TCR) with annealing. We deposited the films using co-sputtering method at $200^{\circ}C$ in the Ar environment. The Sb concentration has been adjusted by applying variable DC power from Sb targets. TCR of deposited $Si_{1-x}Sb_x$ films have been measured the range of -2.3~-2.8%/K. The resistivity of the film is low but TCR is higher than the other bolometer materials. Resistivity of the films has not been affected hugely according to the low annealing temperature however the resistivity has been dramatically decreased over $250^{\circ}C$. It is caused of a phase change due to the rearrangement of Si and Sb atoms during crystallization process of the films.
This paper describes the design and fabrication of 16$\times$16 microbolometer infrared focal plane arrays based on iMEMS technology. Amorphous silicon was used for infrared-sensitive material, and it showed the resistance of 18 Mohm and the temperature coefficient of resistivity of -2.4 %. The fabricated sensors exhibited responsivity of 78 kV/W and thermal time constant of 8.0 msec at a bias voltage of 0.5 V. The array performances had satisfactory uniformity less than 5 % within one-sigma. Also, 1/f noise of pixel was measured and the noise factor of $6\times10^{-11}$ was extracted. Finally, we obtained detectivity of $1.27\times10^9cmHz^{0.5}/W$ and noise equivalent temperature difference of 200 mK at a frame rate of 30 Hz.

Thin films of $BaTiO_3$ system were prepared by radio frequency(rf)/dc magnetron sputtering method. We have investigated crystal structure, surface morphology and PTCR(positive-temperature coefficient of resistance) characteristics of the specimen depending on second heat-treatment temperatures. Second heat treatments of the specimen were performed in the temperature range of 400 to $1350^{\circ}C$. X-ray diffraction patterns of $BaTiO_3$ thin films show that the specimen heat treated below $600^{\circ}C$ is an amorphous phase and the one heat treated above $1100^{\circ}C$ forms a poly-crystallization. In the specimen heat-treated at $1300^{\circ}C$, a lattice constant ratio (c/a) was 1.188. Scanning electron microscope(SEM) image of $BaTiO_3$ thin films of the specimen heat treated in between 900 and $1100^{\circ}C}$ shows a grain growth. At $1100^{\circ}C$, the specimen stops grain-growing and becomes a poly-crystallization.

The heat generated in an induction motor is mostly dissipated through the frame. The study on the heat transfer characteristics of a newly manufactured finless TEFC(Totally Enclosed Fan Cooled) induction motor showed/that it had an unsuitable structure in view of the heat transfer. The angle of the cooling air flow was very large and the ribs disturbed the air flow and partially generated the wake region on the frame. In the wake region the temperature was very high. Thus the heat transfer coefficients were lower than those of the frame with fins. Also was investigated the heat transfer characteristics of the motor frame by installing various guide vanes in the fan-side end cap. An optimum heat transfer case was found and the average heat transfer coefficient of the frame was 70% higher and the average coil temperature measured by the resistance method was 9 deg. C lower than that of the frame which had no guide vanes.
In this work the tribological characteristics were compared between ZnO coatings on glass substrate prepared by sputtering and sol-gel methods. In order to assess the effects of processing method on the tribological characteristics, the friction and wear properties of the coatings were measured by using a reciprocating type of micro-tribotester. The sputtered ZnO coatings were prepared on a glass substrate at room temperature, $150^{\circ}$, and $300^{\circ}$. The ZnO coatings prepared by sol-gel method were heat-treated in air atmosphere at $550^{\circ}$ for one hour. The crystal structure and surface morphology of the coatings were measured by X-ray diffraction (XRD) and Atomic Force Microscope (AFM), respectively. The experimental results showed that overall the sputtered coatings exhibited better friction and wear properties than coatings prepared by sol-gel method. The sputtered coating grown at room temperature had a relatively low friction coefficient of 0.14 and superior wear resistance compared with the other coatings. Nevertheless, sol-gel method of coating ZnO on glass is beneficial for economical coating of a large surface area.
In order to evaluate compressive strength of centrally-loaded steel column at elevated temperature, new FE analysis techniques and assumptions of model were applied in this study. It also includes comparison with the existing studies, and a new design equation for centrally-loaded steel column at elevated temperature was proposed. The proposed equation was the most accurate of the three design equations(EC3, AISC, proposed equation) when comparing with the coefficient of determination on the simulated results and test results.

In this paper, we present a DNA manipulation device in the reaction chamber, which consists of a center electrode and circular outer electrodes of a reaction unit. The charged bio-molecules, DNA, are manipulated by the charge of the electrode in reaction unit. Controlling the induced dynamic electric field between the center electrode and the outer electrodes, concentration / repulsion / manipulation of bio-molecules are enabled at a periphery of electrode. Concentration of the fluorescent DNA at the center electrode is observed by applying +2V. Subsequently, applying -2V, the concentrated DNA is repelled rapidly from the center electrode, which makes dispersion completely in 0.5second. Furthermore, repeated applying +1V/-1V every 5 seconds at each outer electrode, we can circulate the DNA. We also investigate a micro-heater and sensor for DNA manipulation and reaction temperature. The coefficient of heat-resistance and heater temperature characteristic is 0.0043 and 100$^{\circ}C$/sec, respectively.
