A Study on Economy Effects of ICT Industry on Transportation Industry -For Convergence of ICT and Transportation- (정보통신산업이 운송산업에 미치는 경제적 효과에 관한 연구 -정보통신과 운송의 융합을 위한-)

  • This study investigates effects of hardware and telecommunication and software service divided by ICT service on each 5 transportations to explore convergence of ICT and Transportation. Research models are production inducing effects, Added Value inducing effects of Demand-Driven model and Shortage cost effects of Supply-Driven model by using data for 2010~2012 of Input-Output Table. Results are that network and software service effects are more impact than hardware effects on transportations. Especially, hardware is impacted heavily on production inducing effect, telecommunications and software services has had a significant impact on the production inducing effect and Shortage cost effects. In addition, by each detail the transportation industries, packages and other transport and road transport is influenced greatly from ICT. On the other hand, rail and water transport are relatively lower impact by ICT, However, the effects of rail and water transport by ICT is grater than investment ratio of ICT. As a result, increasing investment in the ICT services could contribute to development of rail and water transport development.

  • Recently in information business, managing and auditing are getting more difficult because of enlargement, intellectualization and convergence. In addition, ordering organizations have been having a difficult time choosing a service because not only there is a huge overlap between information audit system and PMO but also the work boundaries of those two are not clear enough. As the demand that a business managing and auditing frame work need to be more developed in terms of independence, quality, economic feasibility and responsibility has been increased, the Korea Association Of Information Systems Audit has been attempting to improve business management and audit system by proposing Unified Project Management Framework whose process is approximately constructed. This study introduces Unified Project Management Framework which is all-encompassing from the ordering at the very beginning of business to the operating in the post-processing step and then verifies its work scope through a comparative analysis with existing management systems. Also, this thesis examines the necessity of unification of audit system and PMO by analysing existing similar systems. At the end, this study, analyses the suitability of Unified Project Management Framework by evaluating it with IT goal frame of COBIT5 which is constructed based on BSC performance management index. The result of the analysis is expected to help people in charge understanding the features of Unified Project Management Framework before they apply it to practical business.

Target Advertisement Service using a Viewer's Profile Reasoning (시청자 프로파일 추론 기법을 이용한 표적 광고 서비스)

  • In the existing broadcasting environment, it is not easy to serve the bi-directional service between a broadcasting server and a TV audience. In the uni-directional broadcasting environments, almost TV programs are scheduled depending on the viewers' popular watching time, and the advertisement contents in these TV programs are mainly arranged by the popularity and the ages of the audience. The audiences make an effort to sort and select their favorite programs. However, the advertisement programs which support the TV program the audience want are not served to the appropriate audiences efficiently. This randomly provided advertisement contents can occur to the audiences' indifference and avoidance. In this paper, we propose the target advertisement service for the appropriate distribution of the advertisement contents. The proposed target advertisement service estimates the audience's profile without any issuing the private information and provides the target-advertised contents by using his/her estimated profile. For the experimental results, we used the real audiences' TV usage history such as the ages, fonder and time of the programs from AC Neilson Korea. And we show the accuracy of the proposed target advertisement service algorithm. NDS (Normalized Distance Sum) and the Vector correlation method, and implementation of our target advertisement service system.

Reflector Based Mobile Satellite Antenna with Novel Beam Steering Scheme (새로운 빔 조향 방식을 갖는 반사판 기반의 이동형 위성 통신 안테나)

  • This paper proposes a hybrid antenna with novel beam steering scheme. The antenna have a cassegrain structure composed of two reflectors. The main reflector is designed for high gain performance using parabola curvature, and the sub-reflector is plate and can be rotated by ${\pm}3^{\circ}$. Thus proposed antenna can steer a antenna beam using the inclination of sub-reflector. A feed array composed of 20 elements is adapted as a feeder for electrical beam steering, and the antenna can be possible to steer the beam by the feed array with sub-reflector. Proposed antenna was fabricated to be operated in Ka-band(30.085$\sim$30.885 GHz) for TX and K-band(20.355$\sim$21.155 GHz), which are the operation frequencies of the Korean satellite, Mugunhwa, to provide satellite multi-media service to vehicles. By the performance test, it can be known that the antenna has minimum gain of 47 dBi for TX and 44.4 dBi for TX and can steer the beam by ${\pm}2^{\circ}$ with sub-reflector.

Performance Evaluation of LTE-A Random Access Procedure for IoT Service (IoT 서비스를 위한 LTE-A 랜덤 액세스 절차 성능 평가)

  • As increase of IoT services in wireless communications, the performance evaluation is required to connects massive number of devices in LTE-A system. Existing performance analysis of 3GPP TR 37.868 is shown the limited results up to the number of devices only 30,000 in a cell. So, it is required the performance analysis according to various parameter values in the greater number of devices environment. In this paper, to evaluate the performance, we developed the new modules to simulate LTE-A random access procedures because of a limit that accommodate massive number of devices in existing LTE module. The simulator was developed by OPNET and it can support up to 100,000 devices per cell. This paper also represents the performance analysis results according to the number of preambles, the maximum number of preamble transmissions, backoff indicator and msg2 window size in the same environment with 3GPP TR 37.868. This results are expected to be utilized such as the transition to 5G network and standardization activities.

  • Image resizing (or scaling) is one of the most essential issues for the success of visual service because image data has to be adapted to the variety of display features. For 2D imaging, the image scaling is generally accomplished by 2D image re-sampling (i.e., up-/down-sampling). However, when it comes to stereoscopic 3D images, 2D re-sampling methods are inadequate because additional consideration on the third dimension of depth is not incorporated. Practically, stereoscopic 3D image scaling is process with left/right images, not stereoscopic 3D image itself, because the left/right Images are only tangible data. In this paper, we analyze stereoscopic 3D image scaling from two aspects: geometrical deformation and frequency-domain aliasing. A number of 3D displays are available in the market and they have various screen dimensions. As we have more varieties of the displays, efficient stereoscopic 3D image scaling is becoming more emphasized. We present the recommendations for the 3D scaling from the geometric analysis and propose a disparity-adaptive filter for anti-aliasing which could occur during the image scaling process.

Performance Analysis of Peer Aware Communications with CSMA/CA Based on Overhearing (Overhearing을 적용한 CSMA/CA 기반 대상인식통신 성능 분석)

  • In this paper, we propose Low Energy Service Discovery (LESD) protocol for common discovery mode of IEEE 802.15.8 Peer Aware Communications (PAC). In order to minimize power consumption, Basic Repetition Block (BRB) is defined. Device is able to select operating mode and synchronize other devices through it. Proposed MAC procedure is Carrier Sense Multiple Access with Collision Avoidance (CSMA/CA) based on overhearing technique. Even if device has not been received response signal since transmitted request signal, it is able to discover other devices of same group through the overhearing technique. IEEE 802.15.8 PAC has required that performances of common discovery mode are presented about discovered devices during the simulation time, discovery latency and average power consumption. By considering the number of devices per group and channel environment, two scenarios are evaluated through system level simulation and the simulation results of proposed scheme are compared with CSMA/CA in same simulation conditions. As a result, proposed scheme is able to get high energy efficiency of devices as well as increase the number of discovered devices during simulation time when the longer the number of devices is distributed over a limited area.

  • Currently, 3DTV technologies are being developed as the future services of the HD digital broadcast environment. As one of the various research topics to apply 3DTV technologies to the conventional broadcasting network, methods to configure stereoscopic videos are being studied. In this paper, we proposed a method to broadcast high quality stereoscopic videos based on analysis of a method to add a stereoscopic descriptor to the PMT of MPEG-2 transport streams and a method to transmit stereoscopic videos by the expansion of MPEG-C part 3 which are from precedent studies. The proposed technique maintains compatibility with conventional MPEG-2 transport streams by showing only reference video for models that do not support 3D broadcasting. Therefore, the compatibility between conventional broadcasting and stereoscopic videos should make this method useful when activating 3D services in the communications and broadcasting area

  • 본 논문은 무선통신 환경에서 다양한 위치정보의 응용서비스인 위치기반서비스의 공통적인 기능을 가지는 지오코더 서비스를 설계하는 것이다. 위치기반서비스는 망이나 GPS 등의 측위기술을 이용하여 휴대 단말 등 사용자의 위치정보를 제공하는 것으로 최근 부가가치가 기대되는 서비스이다. 지오코더 서비스는 주소 등의 요청에 대해 X, Y, Z 등으로 표현되는 지리적 위치정보를 제공하는 서비스와 역으로 지리적 위치정보를 포함하는 요청에 대해 주소 등을 포함한 정규화 된 정보를 제공하는 역지오코더 서비스로 정의할 수 있다. 국내의 많은 웹 기반의 GIS 서비스들이 지형지물 등에 의해 지리적인 위치를 탐색하는 지오코딩 기능이 구현되어 있으나, 지리 정보에 대한 각각 서로 다른 인터페이스들이 사용되고 있어, 확장된 활용성에 한계를 가지고 있다. 특히, 무선통신 환경의 발전에 따른 효율적인 지리적 위치정보의 활용을 통한 다양한 위치기반서비스의 개발 및 활성화를 위하여 국제동향을 고려한 정규화 된 지오코더 서비스의 개발이 요구된다. 본 논문에서는 지리적 위치정보를 포함하고 있는 지오코더 서비스를 위하여 기술규격 범위와 요구기능 정의, 서비스를 위한 데이터의 정규화 및 인터페이스를 설계하여, 국내 무선통신 환경에서 다양한 위치기반서비스의 활용성을 높이기 위한 서비스 시스템 방안을 마련하고자 한다. 또한, 주소 정의에 있어서 국내 주소체계를 충분히 분석하여 구축하였다. 이는 본 연구자가 LBS 표준화 포럼을 통하여 작성 중인 '지오코더서비스 인터페이스 기술규격'을 수용한 것이다.적으로 분석하고, 지형정보의 체계적 관리를 위해 가장 필요한 해안습지 지형분류도를 작성하기 위해 가장 기초적인 단계인 해안습지 지형분류체계에 대한 국내외의 연구성과를 비교하여 시안을 작성 표준화를 위한 첫 단계 시도를 소개하였다.분석 결과는 문장, 그림 및 도표, 장 끝의 질문, 학생의 학습 활동 수 등이 $0.4{\sim}1.5$ 사이의 값으로 학생 참여를 적절히 유도하는 발견 지향적 인 것으로 조사되었다. 그러나 장의 요약은 본문 내용을 반복하는 내용으로 구성되었다. 이와 같이 공통과학 과목은 새로운 현대 사회에 부응하는 교과 목표와 체계를 지향하고 있지만 아직도 통합과학으로서의 내용과 체계를 완전히 갖추고 있지 못할 뿐만 아니라 현재 사용되고 있는 7종의 교과서가 교육 목표를 충분히 반영하지 못하고 있다. 따라서 교사의 역할이 더욱더 중요하게 되었다.괴리가 작아진다. 이 결과에 따르면 위탁증거금의 징수는 그 제도의 취지에 부합되고 있다. 다만 제도운용상의 이유이거나 혹은 우리나라 주식시장의 투자자들이 비합리적인 투자형태를 보임에 따라 그 정책적 효과는 때로 역기능적인 결과로 초래하였다. 그럼에도 불구하고 이 연구결과를 통하여 최소한 주식시장(株式市場)에서 위탁증거금제도는 그 제도적 의의가 여전히 있다는 사실이 확인되었다. 또한 우리나라 주식시장에서 통상 과열투기 행위가 빈번히 일어나 주식시장을 교란시킴으로써 건전한 투자풍토조성에 저해된다는 저간의 우려가 매우 커왔으나 표본 기간동안에 대하여 실증분석을 한 결과 주식시장 전체적으로 볼 때 주가변

Interference-Prediction based Online Routing Aglorithm for MPLS Traffic Engineering (MPLS 트래픽 엔지니어링을 위한 간섭 예측 기반의 online 라우팅 알고리듬)

  • A new online routing algerian is proposed in this paper, which use the interference-prediction to solve the network congestion originated from extension of Internet scope and increasing amount of traffic. The end-to-end QoS has to be guaranteed in order to satisfy service level agreements (SLAs) in the integrated networks of next generation. For this purpose, bandwidth is allocated dynamically and effectively, moreover the path selection algorithm is required while considering the network performance. The proposed algorithm predicts the level of how much the amount of current demand interferes the future potential traffic, and then minimizes it. The proposed algorithm considers the bandwidth on demand, link state, and the information about ingress-egress pairs to maximize the network performance and to prevent the waste of the limited resources. In addition, the interference-prediction supports the bandwidth guarantee in dynamic network to accept more requests. In the result, the proposed algorithm performs the effective admission control and QoS routing. In this paper, we analyze the required conditions of routing algorithms, the aspect of recent research, and the representative algorithms to propose the optimized path selection algorithm adequate to Internet franc engineering. Based on these results, we analyze the problems of existing algorithms and propose our algorithm. The simulation shows improved performance by comparing with other algorithms and analyzing them.
