The Effects of the Project Managers' Competency and Leadership Style on the Performance and the Customer Satisfaction of SI Projects (SI 프로젝트에 있어서 프로젝트 관리자의 역량과 리더십 유형이 프로젝트 성과와 고객만족에 미치는 영향)

  • Recently, as business becomes more dependent on information technology for their operations, SI project managers are under increasing pressure to implement SI projects on time and within budget, and to satisfy customer requirements. For the success of SI projects and customer satisfaction, SI project managers should master the critical shills and knowledge requirements and consider the proper leadership style to lead the team members and to manage SI projects. The leadership style includes four categories, such as directive leadership, supportive leadership, participative leadership, and achievement-oriented leadership. This study has examined the project managers' competency and suggests the three competency factors, which are technical, human, and conceptual shills, for the success of SI projects and customer satisfaction. The study suggests that SI project managers should master the three critical skills and knowledge requirements, and consider the proper leadership style for the successful implementation of SI projects. Also SI project managers should consider contingency factors such as project size and duration and outcome variables such as protect performance and customer satisfaction so as to enhance the leadership effectiveness.

  • The change in environment of construction industry and the advancement of information technology require the improvement of construction project efficiency. However, construction industry still lacks performance-measuring tools that are the requirements of efficient project management system. In case of the schedule management system, schedule is usually being managed by result-oriented measurements such as completion time, spent cost, and progress rate, which are not good enough to control the overall continuity of work-flow. This research aimed to systemize the overall construction process and to develop the indicators for measuring performance of TACT activities during finishing work period that can contribute to the systemization of TACT management.

  • Internet based on web service is growing rapidly and the effort to standardize the next generation web is world-widely being made. When the web was developed for the first time, HTTP, HTML, and URL were designed based on the structure of text background. Through those, asynchronous search and simple, unified expression patterns have been used. But recently many data on internet are becoming complicated. Consequently new structure and expression patterns including synchronous multimedia information are requested. The currently used standard language among user interface domain of W3C is SMIL which is XML-based one. SMIL describes where and how long the multimedia factors are integrated on the web. In this paper the standardization trend and important issues related to SMIL are reviewed and analyzed. Also the development of technology is discussed.

  • e-Business 환경이 다양화되고 활성화되면서, 전자적으로 교환되는 문서의 종류와 형태가 다양해지고 있다. 다양한 문서 형태를 지원해야 하는 요구사항이 대두되고 이를 충족하기 위해 하나 이상의 문서 변환 시스템을 도입하여 사용하고 있다. 기존의 문서 변환 시스템은 하나 또는 두 가지의 문서 형태만을 지원함으로 인해, 동시에 다양한 문서 형태를 지원할 수 없는 단점이 존재하였다. 또한 단일 형태의 문서 변환만을 지원하고 있어 문서 형태별 변환 기능을 지원할 수 없고 파싱된 문서 요소와 비즈니스 로직이 혼합되어 순차적으로 처리됨으로써, 처리가 완료되기 전까지 하나의 트랜잭션으로 처리되고 있다. 변환 절차가 하나의 트랜잭션 내에서 처리됨으로 인해 정보의 재사용성이나 효율적으로 시스템 자원을 사용할 수 없었다. 이러한 문제를 해결하기 위해 본 논문에서는 문서 형태별 비즈니스 로직을 포함하는 전자문서변환 시스템을 도메인 모델방식 개념을 기반으로 설계, 구현함으로써 개선 가능한 시스템을 제안하고자 한다. 본 논문은 제안 시스템을 통해 기능별로 모듈화가 가능하게 되고 트랜잭션도 단계별로 분리하여, 처리 복잡성을 해결할 뿐 아니라, SOA(Service Oriented Architecture)기반의 진보된 개념을 쉽게 적용 가능한 확장성을 갖추는데 그 의의가 있다.

  • The $21^{st}$ century is the age of sentiment and image. As industrial development pushes the demands of consumers for various goods, the marketing patterns of these goods have individualized. They are expressions embedded with various meanings. Retail shops, now going beyond the practical purpose of display and sales of goods, enhancing brand images and establishing a consumer-oriented strategy, play a key role in reacting to and creating overall cultural issues. This study will analyze and investigate the Prada retail shop, which has distinguished its brand image and effectively promoted its identity through a sustained management strategy. The Prada retail shop has established an image of a cultural icon through cultural marketing. It suggests individuality and creativity along with diversity It reflects the basic concepts of cultural marketing, freedom of expression combined with information and high technology. The Prada building symbolizes the brand itself. To foster these kinds of retail shops, data and information based on continuous studies must be provided and shared, and also the systematic reinterpretation and the effective presentation of expressive trends in interior design needs to be studied on an ongoing basis.

  • Retail space itself could be one of the marketing strategies, through creating space, and communicating brand identity. Especially for innovative products, such as mobile technology products, store is not just to sell products but to provide experiences so that users can fudge usefulness of products and reduce uncertainties to adopt the products. The purpose of this study is to investigate how environmental features and physical artifacts contribute to promote experiences of innovative products in stores and how physical environment help to establish brand identity. For this study, site visits, observation, and literature review were conducted. For case studies, three retail spaces (Apple, Iriver, Sony) and one service space(TTL) were selected. Compared to the service space, three retail spaces have more transparent and open store front design characteristics. For the experiences of shoppers, products displayed in a radial shape, round shape, column shape, and around peripherals of the stores. A service oriented space, TTL zone is differentiated from three retail spaces in terms of layout, store front design, and experience areas. Compared to the traditional stores selling innovative products, the case stores showed more warm atmosphere using various shape, wood materials, lighting fixtures and furniture.

  • Under the environment of various network and multimedia, various theories are studied to make utilize digital story telling authoring. In the era of digital convergence and ubiquitous information, they want to send information with additional emotional information which is preferred constructive sending method. Digital storytelling refers to a unified technology for narrative structure with the picture and act. If engraft with particular research field, It will make interactive or linear story structure. These structures have problems that they are mismanaging on the result and they are not integrated systemization in each society. Because those are designing storytelling without development process and they are focusing on web distribution. This thesis is design using the object-oriented methodology of component-based design methodology, This thesis create digital storytelling and design metadata for contents management. In the requirement phase, subject and predicate part are extracted from the narrative structure of the story and restructure an organization. We explain by giving specific examples "kongjwi and patjwi" story as a case study.

  • Modern society is information-oriented society that allow letters in electron, telecommunication, computer, highly Information-Communication and information processing by great development of semi-conductor technologies. All businesses are depending on computer. Also, Great many user according to development who is worth watching eagerly of computer network and utilization of database and technology could collect, search, handle, transmit and store data at the same time using computer. But, while processing and use of information that use computer become convenient, exposure of data became serious relatively. For these reason, Security problem of data that need the secret rose. Accordingly, new encryption methods to use computer for security of data are presented and are developed continuously. Studied about DES, 3DES, RSA, ECC algorithm to select cipher algorithm to use in research hereafter in this treatise.

  • Recently, the Web is becoming more difficult to manage efficiently retrieve with the increase of data. However, the retrieval systems that are currently used have not been applied to the Semantic Web technology. Thus, the development of the Semantic Web is not activated. User of the retrieval system also the Semantic Web usage is low is the situation. In this paper, we are analyzed the retrieval system that is currently being used. we are proposed added the rule of the RDF representation during ontology implementation of the retrieval system. And we propose the user-centric of retrieval system design and implementation.

  • The component-based development methodology becomes famous as the reuse technology for independence and productivity of software development It is necessary component metrics for component-based systems, because It should be measurable to improve the quality of the software. Hence, in this paper, we propose component cohesion and coupling metrics which is reflected in characteristics of component. The operation use value is calculated by the information of classes interface commonly uses to offer the component's service. And, the operation similarity value is calculated by the operations use value. Component cohesion and coupling is calculated by the operation similarity and based of the information which is extracted in the analysis phase. And, we examine the necessity of component metrics in comparison with object-oriented metrics.
