Exploring Practical Methods On Agriculture Technology Education of the Practical Arts for Sustainable Development (실과교과 농업 생명 기술 영역에서의 지속가능발전을 위한 실천 방안 탐색)

  • The purpose of this study was to explore practical methods of practical arts education for sustainable development in agriculture technology. To archive this purpose, a case-study involving the specialized 'P school' was undertaken. Results of the study were as follows: First, this study estimated value to not only the concept of environmental-friendly agriculture, but also integrated social, disciplinary, generation, intra-generation, and economic perspectives. Second, elementary school students suggested plans for practical activities featuring which was all-rounded growth in circulating between education and the nature of the life. This study concludes that educational programs based on the integration of agriculture, technology, and education, as well as hands-on activities are most effective.

  • The "Information and Communication Technology Education Guidelines" was revised in December, 2005. However, students are still not taught the contents in the "Information and Communication Technology Education Guidelines Rev." and are not taught the contents in the "Understanding of the Information Processing" area among them in particular. Therefore, we analyzed the contents in the "Understanding of the Information Processing" area of the elementary ICT textbooks published on and after June 2006. In the result, the contents of many textbooks are not based on the "Information and Communication Technology Education Revised Guidelines" and programming languages using elementary school are too many. The revision of the elementary ICT textbooks must be settled without delay and the certification systems of elementary ICT textbooks must be improved.

  • As the demand for kiosks increases, more users complain of discomfort. Accordingly, a kiosk that enables easy menu selection and order by producing a voice-based interactive service is produced and provided in the form of a web. It implements voice functions based on the Annyang API and SpeechSynthesis API, and understands the user's intention through Dialogflow. And discuss how to implement this process based on Rest API. In addition, the recommendation system is applied based on collaborative filtering to improve the low consumer accessibility of existing kiosks, and to prevent infection caused by droplets during the use of voice recognition services, it provides the ability to check the wearing of masks before using the service.

Parameter identifiability of Boolean networks with application to fault diagnosis of nuclear plants

  • Fault diagnosis depends critically on the selection of sensors monitoring crucial process variables. Boolean network (BN) is composed of nodes and directed edges, where the node state is quantized to the Boolean values of True or False and is determined by the logical functions of the network parameters and the states of other nodes with edges directed to this node. Since BN can describe the fault propagation in a sensor network, it can be applied to propose sensor selection strategy for fault diagnosis. In this article, a sufficient condition for parameter identifiability of BN is first proposed, based on which the sufficient condition for fault identifiability of a sensor network is given. Then, the fault identifiability condition induces a sensor selection strategy for sensor selection. Finally, the theoretical result is applied to the fault diagnosis-oriented sensor selection for a nuclear heating reactor plant, and both the numerical computation and simulation results verify the feasibility of the newly built BN-based sensor selection strategy.

  • Purpose: The current education curriculum centering on the national examination can not train the human resources needed for the clinic. Therefore, we would like to develop a curriculum for practical education and cultivate talented people capable of working in clinical practice at the same time. Methods: This study investigates the importance and utilization of the subjects by using qualitative and quantitative mixed research methods through interviews with FGI and structured questionnaires for grades 2,3,4. Results: In order to carry out the related work, all the subjects need more practical training, and the curriculum that can learn the latest prostheses such as CAD / CAM, implant, 3D printer, Conclusion: In order to carry out the related tasks immediately after graduation, practical education through improvement of curriculum is needed.

  • Cyber education has been predicted that it would become the primary education system of 21st century as a way of education focusing on consumers, with the aspect that it seems to be able to satisfy the demand about re-education and lifelong education as the acceleration of fast knowledge accumulation throughout every field of society in the digital era. However, cyber education system has a lot of problems which are for that it lacks of human resources for effective interaction, and it can be disadvantageous to certain type of students with a class environment concentrated on reading and writing and with foundation on computer technology. Therefore, in this thesis, We intended to analyze factors influencing satisfaction of people studying in a situation that cyber education has been required to be a mainstream system of education in the midst of trend of changing paradigm of college education recently, and to suggest some possible solutions for cyber education at university.

Special Education Teachers' Competence, Self-Efficacy, and Autonomy in Using ICT amid the Covid19 Pandemic

  • The outbreak of Covid-19 has forced teachers of special education in Saudi Arabia to keep to themselves to live in a technology-infused society throughout the virtual teaching and learning process. This study set out to explore the competence, self-efficacy, and autonomy in using information communication technology (ICT) of special education teachers in Saudi Arabia. A total of 244 special education teachers in Saudi Arabia participated in this study. This study adopted the New General Self-Efficacy Scale developed and validated by Chen, Gully, and Eden (2001), as well as the Basic Psychological Needs in Exercise Scale (BPNES) developed and validated by Vlachopoulos and Michailidou (2006). Confirmatory factor analysis (CFA) and multivariate analysis of variance (MANOVA) were used as the main data analysis in this study. The findings showed that special education teachers in Saudi Arabia possessed competence, self-efficacy, and autonomy in using ICT in their teaching and learning process. All the factor loadings in each factor were.75 or higher, indicating good factor loadings. The results of the MANOVA indicated that special education teachers in Saudi Arabia do not report different perceptions of their competence, self-efficacy, and autonomy despite their different gender, age group, academic background, and teaching experiences.

The status and strategy of oral health education of dental hygienist on periodontal patients (치과위생사의 치주병환자 구강보건교육 실태 및 전략 수립에 관한 연구)

  • Objectives : The objective of this study was to analyze cognition and status of oral health education of dental hygienists who manage the patients visiting dental clinics and to utilize the findings as continuous study data required for development of systematic oral health education program for management of peridontal disease of adults. Methods : Survey was carried out for 261 dental hygienists working in dental clinics who are performing oral health education of patients with peridontal disease living. Results : 1. In the socio-dynamic diagnosis, it was analyzed that, the younger the age is and the lower the career is, the more the work is centered around assisting medical treatment job and, the older the age is and the higher the career is, the work is centered around oral health education job. 2. In the behavioral diagnosis, it was analyzed that, as to source of knowledge acquisition, guide of dentists and senior dental hygienists was the highest and, as to education media, visual education and demonstration education were mainly used. 3. In educational diagnosis, as to the degree of knowledge about oral health education and the degree of practice, it showed that the degree of knowledge was lower than the degree of practice in peridontal disease process and oral prophylaxis as well as scaling part. 4. In both the cases of independent practice and group practice, it showed that the most frequent obstacle was insufficient educational materials and tools and it was analyzed that acquisition of new knowledge and technology is required as a matter to be improved. Conclusions : It seems to be required for the dental hygienists to develop detailed knowledge and professional technology in order to induce actions and motive of patients during oral health education of peridontal patients and to develop and produce data for efficient education of peridontal patients.

A Study on the Systematization of Education after the Entry of Foreign Seafarers who is On-boarding in Ocean-going Merchant Vessel in Korea (외항상선 외국인선원 입국 후 교육의 체계화에 관한 기초연구)

  • In line with the transformation of the shipping industry, the number of mixed-manning ships is on the rise - bringing foreign sailors aboard with their local sailors. During on-board work, a culture is formed according to mixed-manning, which leads to changes in on-board living environment. This causes various problems such as communication problems, and lack of education and training. In order to identify and solve problems caused by mixed-manning, this study presented a plan for systematic education of foreign seafarers. The officials in charge of the affairs of foreign sailors conducted questionnaire surveys at various shipping lines. The questionnaire survey results were analyzed using the IBM SPSS Statistic 26 program. Three improvement measures were proposed to solve the problems after identification of the types of education, education methods, and problems of foreign employees. This study revealed that it is imperative to systematize related education of foreign seafarers based on the results of the survey.

Implementation of Metaverse Based Realistic Education Platform

  • Currently, due to Covid-19, non-face-to-face activities are underway in various fields, and non-face-to-face education is also necessary in the education field. In this paper, we develop and utilize a metaverse-based realistic education platform that combines the latest realistic 3D technology and XR interactive technology to enhance students' understanding of the latest technology and strengthen their educational capabilities. To this end, we understand the main technologies of metaverse in terms of education, investigate contents and application cases of education using metaverse, and compare them with the proposed realistic educational platform. In the future, non-face-to-face education is expected to account for an important portion, and more effective learning is expected through the metaverse-based realistic educational platform developed in this paper when instructor lectures the MZ generation in a virtual world called metaverse.
