Safety and health education in technical high schools is especially important because the great majority of the students engage in the industrial field after graduation. But there are few reports on the state. of safety and health education in technical high schools in Korea. The aims of this study were to identify the problems of the present safety and health education in technical high schools in Korea and to propose the ways of improving health and safety education. To conduct this study, the textbooks for health and safety related courses, i.e., Introduction to Industry, Gyoryun(dril), and Physical Education, were reviewed. A questionnaire was mailed to the teachers of Introduction to Industry, Gyoryun, Physical Education, and school nurses in 188 technical high schools and the teachers of Gyoryun, Physical Education, and school nurses in 376 general high schools in November 1997. The final response rates were 42.0% for teachers of Introduction to Industry, 62.9% for teachers of Gyoryun, 47.9% for teachers of Physical Education, and 33.0% for school nurses. Also, a survey by self-administered questionnaire on the knowledge, attitude, and practice about safety and health was conducted from May through July 1998 among 44 employees graduated from technical high schools and 44 employees graduated from general high schools since 1995. The analysis of the textbooks showed that the contents of the ‘Industrial Safety and Environment’ section in Introduction to Industry were rather for safety managers than industrial workers and the contents about occupational hygiene and health were scanty. The majority of ‘Accident and Disaster’ and ‘Hazardous Substances’ section in Gyoryun overlapped with those in Introduction to Industry and several mistakes about health related descriptions were found. Some contents of Physical Education. ‘Mental Health’. ‘Emergency Care’. ‘Communicable Disease’, ‘Noncommunicable Disease’, and ‘Food Hygiene’ overlapped with those of Gyoryun. The teachers lectured safety and health related sections of textbook completely in 84.8% for Introduction to Industry, 62.1% for Gyoryun, 20.8% for Physical Education and the most frequent reason for the incomplete education was shortage of time.
Technical high school aims at educating students to acquire fundamental skill and technology required for being competent technicians, to be creative in adjusting themselves to the changing industrial society, and to do self-realization and find their ways toward the future on their own. To attain that goal and maximize learning effect, mathematics education is very important as prerequisite learning for technical subjects, as most technical courses in technical high school are basically based on mathematics. The purpose of this study was to discuss how mathematics education could be successfully linked to technical courses in an attempt to make it function properly as prerequisite learning for major subjects and facilitate students' technical learning. For that purpose, what problems the mathematics components of major subjects and the curriculum had was examined and the way to offer better education was presented. And there are some suggestions regarding mathematics education: First, technical mathematics should be newly inserted into technical high school curricula to help students learn major subjects in more efficient way. Second, most technical high schools are expected to just require tenth graders to complete a 10-stage mathematics course. In that case, they might find difficulties in learning major subjects when they are in their 11st and 12th grade. The curriculum should be designed to have 11st and 12th graders take mathematics education. Third, many students find a job after graduation, but the growing number of students go on to university to receive more education in the same field. Accordingly, there is a need to enlarge continuous progress plan, rather than completion-type one, to make students well-grounded technically. And mathematics should be taught in more classes as prerequisite subject for major courses. Fourth, mathematics elements necessary for each major subject should be outlined and announced to schools so that they could reorganize mathematics and major courses appropriately.

This study reported present state of clothing technical designers' work duties and working conditions, so as to suggest effective ways to develop professional training methods for them. Technical designers working for vendors and agents were surveyed as they represent the majority of technical designers in Korean clothing industries. Survey participants were 62 technical designers working for 6 clothing vendors and 2 clothing agents, and the survey closely inspected their work qualifications, duties and responsibilities, working conditions and training conditions. Survey was conducted from June $27^{th}$ to July $17^{th}$, 2012. The questionnaire examined frequency analysis and multiple response analysis using SPSS 19.0 Windows after investigating documents and work fields through personal experiences and interviews from technical designers for data collection and analysis. A chi-square test analyzed the preferred type of fitting for technical designers of vendors and agents. The results showed that 32.3% of those surveyed have more than 7 years of work experience and the highest level of education is predominantly a bachelor's degree (57 people, 91.9%). Among the work responsibilities, respondents did sample measuring more than four times a day. Also, the results showed that technical designers needed to qualify: first 'Fitting Technic', second 'Pattern Correction Capability', and third 'English Skills to Communicate with Buyers'; subsequently, education on several technics (such as measuring, grading, and fitting) were required for the job. Current technical designers answered that they need more various work-related education. However, the analyzed results showed that pre work-related training was insufficient. The data shows that technical designers require re-education in 'Pattern Correction Method' (61.3%) and 'Sewing Education' (64.5%).

Nowadays learning has developed to a new way of anywhere and anytime by using mobile devices called m-learning which can provide flexibility, independency and creativity in academic environment. Most studies about m-learning are for higher education and the most users of m-learning are higher education students. Although developed countries are using m-learning in educational sectors, most of the Middle East countries are far from m-learning, and facing number of challenges. In Iran m-learning is still in early stage of implementation in higher education and in terms of technical and infrastructural aspects there is a vast gap in compare with developed countries. Although technical and infrastructural difficulties are one of the significant aspects in implementation and integration of m-learning technologies in education, the technology will not be successful if could not adopt with users. Due to the importance of user adoption with m-learning, there are limited studies about m-learning adoption in higher education of Iran. This paper attempts to review on technical and infrastructural aspects that facilitate m-learning which have effect on adoption of Iran higher education system. The review of the trend in the literature provides a reference for higher education institutes for decision making in developing m-learning for their students.

In this paper, I analyzed the present technical high school-college correlation education and suggested its some problems and their solutions. Further, I explored the methods of its practice and management. In conclusion, it is revealed that the technical high school-college correlation education needed by both sides, is a good institution which makes us enhance the levels of functional and technical education, and through which we can foster excellent experts, get rid of the educational waste, and proceed to the direction of the college-centered technical education.
Communication skills, such as writing documents and presenting technical details, are thought to be essential for modern engineers. Engineering students usually have less interest in writing and presentation than their humanities student counterparts and their concerns are different, too. So it is necessary to teach them in a different way which is suited to them. However, teaching such subjects has been a tricky problem for educators in terms of teaching methods. Also, to teach writing and presentation effectively for engineering students, collaboration between the faculties of different disciplines is necessary because each discipline has its own specific domain knowledge and approaches. But many unsolved problems exist with regard to how to deal with the technical and administrative aspects, and so on. This paper introduces one case in the education of technical writing and presentation, which is a collaboration between an engineering faculty and a faculty of literature. The literature faculty conducts basic education and training for writing skills, while the engineering faculty teaches the technical aspects of documentation, as well as presentation skills. The focus is placed on topics such as self-introduction, searching technical literature and materials, describing and explaining things and presentation practice, etc. During the class there is cooperation in each topic domain, while the faculties collaborate in teaching and evaluation.
