A Design and Implementation of Online Exhibition Application for Disabled Artists

  • In this paper, we design and implement an online exhibition application based on an Android platform that can showcase the artistic works of disabled artists. This application considers user convenience for disabled artists, particularly providing STT(Speech-to-Text) and TTS(Text-to-Speech) features for visually and hearing impaired individuals. Additionally, for the exhibition of works by disabled artists, the application implements disability certification during registration using disability certificates and registration numbers, ensuring that only authenticated disabled artists can exhibit their works. The database storing personal information of disabled artists and information about art pieces is implemented using MySQL. The server module utilizes RestAPI to transmit data in Json format. To address the large data size of art piece information, it is stored using Firebase Storage, eliminating data size limitations on the server. This application can alleviate issues such as a lack of exhibition space for disabled artists and a lack of communication with the general public.

  • In many fields, the human sensibility ergonomics has been applied to the product development for user's satisfaction. Also, it may use to lots of products and environments related to human convenient life. If the measurement and the validation of human sesnibility are accomplished subjectively and qualitatively, then a good design is expected. Under the very competitive products development, designers applying with human sensibility ergonomics has faced with lots of problems including lack of experience, time, cost, and knowledge. In this study, a method of design for human sensibility application system is presented. Information element database such as adjectives, sensitivities, functions, and design factors is conducted, and design of system development including product development mechanism is produced. Also, the requirements and the specifications of this development model are discussed to develop the qualified implementation system.

Design and Implementation of an Urban Safety Service System Using Realtime Weather and Atmosphere Data (실시간 기상 및 대기 데이터를 활용한 도시안전서비스 시스템 설계 및 구현)

  • As natural disasters are increasing due to the unusual weather and the modern society is getting complicated, the rapid change of the urban environment has increased human disasters. Thus, citizens are becoming more anxious about social safety. The importance of preparation for safety has been suggested by providing the disaster safety services such as regional safety index, life safety map, and disaster safety portal application. In this paper, we propose an application framework to predict the urban safety index based on user's location with realtime weather/atmosphere data after creating a predication model based on the machine learning using number of occurrence cases and weather/atmosphere history data. Also, we implement an application to provide traffic safety index with executing preprocessing occurrence cases of traffic and weather/atmosphere data. The existing regional safety index, which is displayed on the Si-gun-gu area, has been mainly utilized to establish safety plans for districts vulnerable to national policies on safety. The proposed system has an advantage to service useful information to citizens by providing urban safety index based on location of interests and current position with realtime related data.

  • 본 논문에서는 대용량 푸시 전송을 위한 효율적인 아키텍처를 제안한다. MINA 프레임워크 상에서 XMPP 프로토콜을 이용한 푸시 전송은 세션이 연결된 환경에서 실시간 메시지를 전달하는 기술로 최근 푸시 전송 서버에서 많이 활용되고 있다. 하지만 웹 어플리케이션에서 전송함에 있어 WAS위에 푸시 모듈이 위치함으로 서버의 메모리 사용량이 오버로드 되는 부담을 안고 있다. 따라서 본 논문에서 제안하는 아키텍처는 서버를 이중화 하여 WAS와 MINA를 분리시켜 하나의 서버가 감당해야 하는 메모리 사용량을 감소 시키도록 하며 멀티큐와 프록시를 사용하여 대량의 푸시 전송시의 메시지 큐의 병목형상을 해결하고자 한다.

  • Motorcycle industry, for its competitive position, depends on part design technology. This part design has a bulky amount of data and asks the accumulation of advanced technical skill and experience, and fragmentary technical application is not enough to get to the kernel of a problem. Therefore, the improvement of proper productivity - the starting point of engineering design - and useful Design Methodology for products manufacturing are needed. Thus this paper is aimed to create a program that outputs dynamic characteristics of a vehicle when the data from fully understanding on motorcycle's brake system and induced formula for brake design are inputted.

Optimum cost design of RC columns using artificial bee colony algorithm

  • Optimum cost design of columns subjected to axial force and uniaxial bending moment is presented in this paper. In the formulation of the optimum design problem, the height and width of the column, diameter and number of reinforcement bars are treated as design variables. The design constraints are implemented according to ACI 318-08 and studies in the literature. The objective function is taken as the cost of unit length of the column consisting the cost of concrete, steel, and shuttering. The solution of the design problem is obtained using the artificial bee colony algorithm which is one of the recent additions to metaheuristic techniques. The Artificial Bee Colony Algorithm is imitated the foraging behaviors of bee swarms. In application of this algorithm to the constraint problem, Deb's constraint handling method is used. Obtained results showed that the optimum value of numerical example is nearly same with the existing values in the literature.

  • 본 논문에서는 GPS 기능을 활용하여 고독한 현대인들을 위한 함께 식사할 수 있는 모임 어플리케이션을 설계하고 구현한다. 이 어플리케이션 사용은 크게 식사 모임의 주최자가 단체 그룹 방을 개설하고, 위치에 따라 함께 식사할 일반 사용자가 해당 그룹 방에 접속하는 방식이다. 그룹 방 입장 후 참여한 사용자는 주최자가 회원가입 시 입력한 카카오톡 SNS ID를 참고하여 식사를 원할 경우 주최자에게 메신저를 발송한다. 또한 그룹 방내에 참여한 사용자들은 GPS 기능을 활용해 수집된 사용자 위치 정보를 바탕으로 사용자 서로간의 위치 정보를 확인할 수 있다. 또한, 모임이 진행되는 날의 날씨 정보 제공을 위하여 날씨 API 기능도 함께 활용하여 정보를 제공한다. 이 어플리케이션의 구현으로 최근 1인 가구의 증가로 혼자 식사를 해결하는 혼밥족과 식사 상대가 없어 혼자 식사를 해결하는 현대인들의 외로운 식사 고민을 해결하고자 한다.

Optimum design of parabolic and circular arches with varying cross section

  • A structural optimization process is presented for arches with varying cross-section. The optimality criteria method is used to develop a recursive relationship for the design variables considering displacement, stresses and minimum depth constraints. The depth at the crown and at the support are taken as design variables first. Then the approach is extended by taking the depth values of each joint as design variable. The curved beam element of constant cross section is used to model the parabolic and circular arches with varying cross section. A number of design examples are presented to demonstrate the application of the method.

  • In principle, R&D of general weapons systems are led by companies or government-funded organizations. In terms of project execution, the defense R&D planning system was reorganized to conduct SE-based project management by integrating the naval ship project execution procedure into the general weapon system R&D procedure. The development progress was confirmed according to the guide for SE application of DAPA, and a technical review meeting was proposed to enter into the each next phase in the R&D process. This paper focuses on improvement for technical review in terms of technical management based on system engineering for R&D mounted weapon systems and the naval surface ship project in preliminary design and detailed design. So, the improvement direction for reviewing the entry criteria for the R&D weapons systems of the naval ship and mounted weapons is proposed.
