We are developing a shared remote control mobile robot for aerial work in nuclear power plants (NPPs); a robot consists of a mobile platform, a telescopic mast, and a dual-arm slave with a working tool. It is used at a high location operating the manual operation mechanism of a fuel changer of a heavy water NPP. The robot system can cut/weld a pipe remotely in the case of an emergency or during the dismantling of the NPP. Owing to the challenging control mission considering limited human operator cognitive capability, some remote tasks require a shared control scheme, which demands systematic software design and integration. Therefore, we designed the architecture of the software systematically.

Although many research efforts have been conducted to address the effect of crew members' work skills (e.g., technical and planning skills) on work performance (e.g., work duration and quality) in construction projects, the relationship between skill and performance has generated a great deal of controversy in the field of management (Inkpen and Crossan 1995). This controversy can lead to under- or over-estimations of the overall project schedule, and can make it difficult for project managers to implement appropriate managerial policies for enhancing project performance. To address this issue, the following aspects need to be considered: (a) work performances are determined not only by individual-level work skill but also by the group-level work skill affected by work team members, each member's role, and any working behavior pattern; (b) work planning has significant effects on to what extent work skill enhances performance; and (c) different types of activities in construction require different types of work, skill, and team composition. This research, therefore, develops a system dynamics (SD) model to analyze the effects of both individual-and group-level (i.e., multi-level) skill on performances by utilizing the advantages of SD in capturing a feedback process and state changes, especially in human factors (e.g., attitude, ability, and behavior). The model incorporates: (a) a multi-level skill evolution and relevant behavior development mechanism within a work group; (b) the interaction among work planning, a crew's skill-learning, skill manifestation, and performances; and (c) the different work characteristics of each activity. This model can be utilized to implement appropriate work planning (e.g., work scope and work schedule) and crew management policies (e.g., work team composition and decision of each worker's role) with an awareness of crew's skill and work performance. Understanding the different characteristics of each activity can also support project managers in applying strategic work planning and crew management for a corresponding activity, which may enhance each activity's performance, as well as the overall project performance.

The purpose of this study was to suggest strategies of team project based learning for undergraduate students by exploring the effects of perceived usefulness on satisfaction in team project-based learning. Also, this study investigated the effects of autonomy support, self-efficacy for group work, and perceived interaction on perceived usefulness. The findings of this study revealed that perceived usefulness affects satisfaction in team project-based learning. Moreover, the results showed that autonomy support and self-efficacy for group work influence perceived usefulness. The findings of this study imply that perceived usefulness is critical team project-based learning is critical to successful learning. Additionally, autonomy support and self-efficacy for group work enables users to perceive usefulness in team project-based learning.
This study is to find out influences of self-leadership on team-work, job satisfaction and organizational commitment. To research and analyze, from October 1st to 25th in 2008, the questionary distributed 420 working employees in wine & dining five star hotel in Seoul, then used for data analysis 356. The results come up with; First, behavior-focused strategies and natural reward strategies positively had significant team-work, and also team-work highly had significant job satisfaction and organizational commitment. Second, there was not showed up any significant relationship between constructive thought pattern strategies and team-work. The implication of this study is that if hotels provided self-leadership training programs to employees working at wine & dining, those would have increase self-leadership, positively effect employee satisfaction and organizational commitment. Ultimately it will bring positive effect customer satisfaction as well.
Effect of cold rolling on microstructural changes has been investigated for a Zn-15%Al alloy to elucidate the reason for its work softening behavior. Fully annealed microstructure of the Zn-15%Al alloy is characterized by ${\eta}$ grains and (${\eta}+{\alpha}$) lamellar colonies, where ${\eta}$ and ${\alpha}$ are Zn-rich HCP and Al-rich FCC phases, respectively. The hardness decreases continuously with increasing cold rolling degree, exhibiting work softening behavior. It is revealed that during the cold rolling, (${\eta}+{\alpha}$) lamellar colonies gradually change into equiaxed ${\eta}$ and ${\alpha}$ grains due to dynamic recrystallization at room temperature, while pre-existing ${\eta}$ grains are only deformed without recrystallization. Furthermore, cold rolling causes the precipitation of dissolved Al solutes in ${\eta}$ grains. In view of these results, change of (${\eta}+{\alpha}$) phases from lamellar to equiaxed morphology, which results in structural softness and increase in equiaxed ${\eta}/{\alpha}$ grain boundaries with higher mobility, and deterioration of solution hardening by precipitation of Al solutes from ${\eta}$ grains, are thought to contribute to the work softening of Zn-15%Al alloy.

The process of cold rolling is becoming more severe with the increase in the production of high tensile steel strip as a result of increased demand. Consequently, there is a need to develop work roll materials with better resistance to wear and roll failure. DOOSAN has developed an improved in-house 5%Cr alloy, New HSR1, with properties superior to the existing in- house 5%Cr alloy, Old HSR1. Test alloys were designed with controlled amounts of Si and Mn based on Old HSR1 and an optimum alloy was chosen based on thermal shock tests. A prototype work roll was manufactured with New HSR1, and properties of test specimens were evaluated. The results indicated that New HSR1 has better properties than Old HSR1. After application of New HSR1 work rolls, productivity increased due to advanced resistance to wear and roll failure.
Panel line is an important process occupying the largest work amount in shipbuilding. In this research product simulation has been carried out to establish the optimal production scheduling. For this purpose a web-based panel line simulator was developed using an object modeling technology and C# language. The balance of work-load and increase in the productivity by the improvement of production facilities and process are the key factors for a good scheduling. In this study SPRT(Shortest Remaining Process Time) rule was applied for the work-load balancing and a good result achieved. To increase the productivity in the stiffener welding stage which is a bottleneck; process, more welding heads and higher welding speed were tested using the developed simulator. The simulation results showed that either more welding head or higher welding speed decreased the total work time. Use of both, however, deteriorated the productivity because of the bottleneck in the following stage. This result points out that the improvement of production facilities and/or process should be evaluated with their influences on the leading and following processing stage.

Teams are used often in the workplace and in educational institute. Despite the advantages of students teams, the two most common problems are social loafing and free riding. I suggest that 'You are fired' method can be used successfully in students team project, especially in our cultural mood. The 'You are fired' method is very simple to execute into business classes using team assignments. Students can fire team members who will not do the necessary work or will not attend meetings with a simple two-step processes. To fire a student of the team must send an e-mail listing specific work that he or she is not doing and/ or meetings he or she is not attending. And a copy of the e-mail must be sent to the faculty member. If the free-rider fails to accomplish the required work, then a second e-mail is sent notifying the student that he or she is fired along with a copy to the faculty member. Data from 257 undergraduate students are analyzed for usefulness of 'You are fired' method. Students are highly supportive of all components parts of the 'You are fired' method. They strongly support the effectiveness of this method to prevent free riding on performing team projects.
