초등학생의 디지털·AI 리터러시 함양을 위한 컴퓨팅 사고력 기반 교수·학습 전략 개발 (Development of Digital and AI Teaching-learning Strategies Based on Computational Thinking for Enhancing Digital Literacy and AI Literacy of Elementary School Student)

  • 인공지능, 빅데이터, 생명과학 산업 등이 선도하는 지식정보사회의 물결이 우리 삶의 방식에 전방위적인 영향을 미치고 있다. 이에 교육부는 미래사회 변화에 대응할 수 있는 기초소양과 역량을 함양할 수 있는 교육과정 개선을 추진하며 AI·소프트웨어 교육을 비롯한 디지털 기초소양 강화를 서두르고 있다. 모든 교과교육을 통해 디지털 기초소양 함양의 기반을 마련하고 정보 교육과정과 연계한 AI 등 신기술분야의 기초 및 심화 학습을 내실화하는 것은 미래사회에 대비한 교육으로서 반드시 필요한 부분이라 볼 수 있다. 하지만 디지털·AI 리터러시 함양을 위한 각각의 내용에 대한 연구는 비교적 활발히 이루어지고 있는 반면 디지털·AI 리터러시를 함양할 수 있는 교수·학습 전략에 대한 연구는 미비한 실정이다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 디지털·AI 리터러시를 키워줄 수 있는 컴퓨팅 사고력(CT) 기반의 디지털·AI 교수·학습 전략을 개발하여 델파이 전문가 검증을 실시한 결과 타당함으로 분석되었고, 이를 바탕으로 교수자 사용성 평가 및 학습자 효과성 분석을 진행한 후 최종 교수·학습 전략을 완성하였다.

의사소통 전략 교수를 위한 트위터와 무들 활용 사례 연구 (A Case Study of Utilizing Twitter and Moodle for Teaching of Communication Strategies)

  • This paper demonstrates how to incorporate the teaching of communication strategies into a large class of English-speaking learners of the Korean language. The method proposed here was developed to overcome the difficulty of conducting language activities involving communicative interactions amongst students and also between teacher and students in a large classroom. As a way of compensating the minimal opportunities for interactions in the classroom, students are given the task of expressing in Korean the English translations of authentic Korean comics via Twitter, which was later replaced with the feedback feature on Moodle, and then their Korean expressions are collected and projected onto a big screen. These collected expressions by students naturally differ from one another, helping students to realize that it is possible for them to express the same message or meaning in many different ways. The results of two separately conducted questionnaires show that this method is an effective way of providing students with significantly increased chances of producing 'comprehensible output' that requires them to think of how to communicate with their limited knowledge of the Korean language. Many students also commented that the teachers' feedback on errors provides them with the opportunity to learn about common errors as well as their own errors.

The Use of Listening Strategies among Korean Elementary Students

  • Though a large amount of research concerning listening strategies has been conducted, the strategic behaviors of younger students in this area have received less attention. This study is a follow up study of an earlier case study by the author (2006). The purpose of this study is to verify what listening strategies Korean elementary learners use in a general L2 listening situation. 213 elementary students participated in this study, and a listening strategy questionnaire was used. ANOVA, MANOVA, Correlation and Multiple Regression Analysis were used to interpret the data. The results of this study reveal that younger participants used all four types of listening strategies, cognitive, compensation, metacognitive and affective, fairly often; however, the results also show that they differ in how frequently they use each strategy according to their listening proficiency. Overall, highly proficient learners use more strategies compared to less proficient learners. High proficiency learners use compensation strategies most and cognitive strategies least. Low proficient learners use affective strategies most and compensation strategies least. Moreover, the results showed no significant grade- or gender-related strategic behaviors, and also showed that L2 listening proficiency can be a significant predictor of strategic behavior of young learners. 12% of the variance in L2 strategic behaviors was attributable to L2 listening proficiency.

문제해결력 신장을 위한 교수 학습 활동의 개별화 방안 (A study on the practical methods of open teaching and loaming In mathematics education)

  • 문제해결력 신장을 위해서는 아동 개개인에게 문제 해결 전략을 체득시키고, 의도적인 문제 해결 과정과 개별적인 문제 해결 경험의 기회가 주어져야 한다. 개별화를 지향하는 학습 지도 방안을 구성하기 위하여 문제 해결 학습 활동 형태를 개별 학습 활동 형태, 집단 학습을 곁들인 개별 학습 활동 형태, 팀 티칭의 형태로 구분하였다. 이러한 학습 활동을 지원하기 위하여 문제해결 지도 중점별 교수 학습 활동 흐름을 구체화한 후 구체물이나 반구체물 조작 방법과 여러 가지 문제 해결 전략 및 문제 해결 과정을 개별 지도하는 수업을 실시하여 그 결과를 분석하였다.

초등과학 영재교육 프로그램 개발 및 적용의 한 방안: 현미경을 중심으로 (Development and Application of Teaching Materials for the Gifted and Talented Students in Elementary Science: Focused on Microscope)

  • The purpose of this study is to develop and apply effective teaching strategies and program for the gifted-in-science. The teaching material for the gifted students was focussed on microscope. This study consists of three steps according to the enrichment triad model of Renzulli. Firstly, the gifted students investigate and express themselves for theological backgrounds, for examples, kinds, structure and use in various ways of microscope. It is to provide basic data for the effective ideas and interest which help students have the appropriate microscopic conceptions. In the second step, it contains understanding of a term and function of microscope, making of simple microscope, principle of a statue focusing and size estimation of an outline of subjects by scientific investigation activity. Lastly, it focussed on enlargement of post-learning through investigation of relationship with inter-science and experiments using microscope. Therefore, it was concluded that this study may help teachers reconsider scientific program development for the gifted or enriched students and to be successful in the teaching-learning processes.

초등학교 3학년 '혼합물의 분리' 단원에서 문제해결 과정을 강조한 수업 전략 개발 및 적용 (Development and Application of Teaching Strategy Focused on Problem Solving Process in the 'Separation of Mixture' Unit of Third Grade Elementary School)

  • The purpose of this study was to develop a teaching strategy focused on problem solving process and explore its effects on science creative problem solving ability, science process skills, science academic achievements and scientific attitudes of students after applying it. Teaching strategy focused on problem solving process employed brainstorming and PMI thinking strategies. The participants were the third grade students of both an experimental class(26 students) and a comparative class(25 students) at the S elementary school located in Goyang-City, Kyonggi Province. The developed strategy was applied to the experimental class for 9 periods of 'Separation of mixture' unit. The results of the tests on the science creative problem solving ability, the science process skills, scientific achievement and scientific attitude were statistically higher in the experimental class.

다면적 접근을 통한 대학의 좋은 수업 특성 분석 (Analysis of Good College Teaching Characteristics by multi-faceted approach)

  • As the college environment changes, the roles of professors and students should also be changed. And the way that we teach undergraduate students should also be changed. The purpose of this research is to analysis characteristics of good teaching methods in college as perceived by students and professors. We did content analysis to elicit the characteristics of good instruction from qualitative comments of 196 course evaluations, 195 excellent essays selected from 8 college essay competitions, and 72 teaching knowhow essays of professors. To see the difference of division in good instruction characteristics, we did frequency analysis by SPSS statistics program. According to the content analysis, the most essential characteristics of good instruction as perceived by the students and professors is teaching strategies. There were also differences in the fact of recognition transition by division and the students-professors.

A Study on the Teaching Method of English Literature through the Internet and Its Effect -L2 Acquisition through British-American fiction in CCDL class between Kangwon National University and Waseda University-

  • One of the benefits of the internet-assisted instruction is that it can improve L2 Learners' motivation to express themselves in English. The purpose of this paper is to investigate an effective approach to British-American fiction learning in Korean universities, which can emphasize communicative strategies drawing on video-conferencing system, a chat system(CUSeeMe), and an e-mail system. Students are passive participants who cannot assert their creativity in the traditional teaching method of British-American fiction, which mainly relies upon reading and translation far from literature lessons. In CCDL(Cross-cultural distance learning) class, students can play active roles in asserting their own ideas and assuming considerable responsibility for making a presentation in English. A professor can play a role as a coordinator in supporting the students' activities and in winding up the class. The main significance of this article lies in providing a paradigm for CCDL class beyond the limitation of the traditional teaching method of British-American fiction in Korea and futhermore in exploring the eclectic integration of the traditional one and CCDL.

Articulating Science Teachers' Values and Convictions for Teaching Socioscientific Issues: Based on Essentialist Methodology

  • This paper has two major purposes. One is to introduce the essentialist methodology as a way to articulate subjective aspects of human beings (e.g. teachers' personal values and concerns, philosophies, subjective experiences, etc.) at a deeper level. And the other is to present two portraits, as examples, of science teachers who actively address socioscientiifc issues (SSI) out of their own motivations. The primary data source was consecutive in-depth interviews with two science teachers, Jenna and Thomas, and the interviews were conducted on the basis of the principle of the "participant as ally" (Witz, 2006). The articulation based on the essentialist methodology shows that teachers' deep-rooted values and convictions often play a significant role as a personal social capital enough to expand their teaching practice (i.e. teaching SSI). Namely, this study confirms that teachers who are motivated out of their own convictions are likely to actively develop their own personal practical knowledge, and to implement particular topics or teaching strategies.

미래 사회 대학 교원의 교수(teaching)역량 프레임 제안 (Teaching Competencies of University Professors in Future Society)

  • 본 연구는 4차 산업혁명으로 대표되는 미래 사회 대학 교원의 교수역량에 대한 이론적 근거 탐색을 문헌분석과 연구자 협의를 통해 수행하였다. 미래 사회 변화 및 교수역량과 관련하여 이미 활발한 주장 및 논의들이 진행되어, 본 연구에서는 문헌분석을 통해 선행연구의 결과들을 고찰하고 미래 사회의 변화를 탐색하여 교수역량 프레임을 제시하였다. 먼저, 미래 사회 대학에 대한 사회적 요구가 대학 교원의 교수역량에 주는 함의를 먼저 도출하였다. 다음으로, 미래 사회 대학에 대한 사회적 요구에 따라 대학 교원에게 필요한 교수역량을 제시하였다. 마지막으로, 이러한 이론적 논거를 바탕으로 미래 사회 대학 교원의 교수역량의 개념을 정의하고, 그 하위요소를 제시하였다. 연구 결과, 미래 사회 대학 교원의 교수역량으로서 변화대응역량 2개 능력, 혁신추진역량 2개 능력, 수업역량 4개 능력 등 3개 영역 8개 능력을 제안하였다. 결론적으로 본 연구에서 제안한 이론적 근거를 바탕으로 대학 교원의 교수역량 함양 계획을 세워 4차 산업 혁명 시대 불확실한 미래가 갖는 불안정성에 대비하고, 각 대학의 혁신과 변화 전략을 수립하며, 학생의 필요와 시대적 요구에 맞는 수업 혁신 전략을 수립할 수 있기를 기대한다.
