피로자각증상(疲勞自覺症狀)과 타액(唾液) pH에 관(關)한 조사연구(調査硏究) - 특수학교(特殊學校) 및 국민학교(國民學校) 교사군간(敎師群間)의 비교(比較) - (Comparison of Subjective Symptoms of Fatigue and Salivary pH among Teachers between Special School and Elementary)

  • 정신적 작업과 육체적 작업을 겸하고 있는 특수학교 교사 250명과 초등교사 교사 414명을 대상으로 이들이 호소하는 피로자각 증상 호소율을 비교하고 타액 pH 변화와의 관련성을 보기 위하여 1989년 4월 21일 금요일 퇴근하기 30분전에 신체적, 정신적, 신경 감각적 증상 호소율과 타액 pH를 측정한 결과는 다음과 같다. 타액 pH와 피로자각 증상과의 상관성은 신체적 증상 및 신경감각적 증상과 통계학적인 유의한 역상관성을 보였다(p<0.01). 피로 자각증상의 호소율은 특수교사군이 초등교사군보다 대체로 높았으며 정신적 항목의 호소율은 특수교사군이 유의하게 높았다(p<0.05). 타액 pH도 특수교사군에서 대체로 낮게 나타났다. 자각증상 호소율의 우세형은 초등교사군이 신체적>신경감각적>정신적형으로 나타났고, 특수친사군은 신체적>정신적>신경감각적 형으로 나타났다. 각 문항별 호소율은 대체로 특수교사군이 높았으며 정신적 증상항목에서 유의한 차이를 보인 항목이 가장 많았다. 타액 pH의 문항별 증상 호소 유무에 따라 증상을 호소한 군이 비호소군 보다 대체로 낮은 타액 pH값을 보였다. 성별 자각증상 호소율은 남, 여 모두 특수교사군이 높았으며 타액 pH도 낮았다. 특히 여자군의 정신적 증상 호소율은 특수교사군이 유의하게 높았다(p<0.05). 연령군별로는 30-39세군에서 정신적 증상 호소율은 특수교사군이 29.3%로 초등교사군의 15.1%보다 유의하게 높았으며 타액 pH도 유의하게 낮았으며(p<0.05), 신체적 증상 호소율은 40-49세 군에서 특수교사군이 오히려 초등교사군 보다 유의하게 낮았다(p<0.05). 근무 경력별로는 14년 이하군에서는 특수교사군이, 15년 이상군에서는 초등교사군이 대체로 높은 호소율을 보였으며 10-14년군에서는 정신적 증상 호소율이 특수교사군에서 유의하게 높았으며(p<0.05), 타액 pH는 모든 경력군에서 특수교사군이 낮게 나타났다. 설문지 작성 전날 수면시간별로 보면 7시간 이상 잠잔군의 정신적 증상 호소율이 특수교사군에서 유의하게 높았고(p<0.05), 타액 pH는 유의하게 낮았다(p<0.05). 결혼상태별, 병력(病歷)유무별 특수교사군과 초등교사군의 피로자각 증상 호소율은 특수교사군이 모두 높았으며, 타액 pH는 낮았다. 이상의 결과로 보아 특수교사군이 대체로 높은 피로자각 증상 호소율과 낯은 타액 pH를 보였으며, 특히 정신적 증상 항목에서 특수교사군의 호소율이 높게 나타나 특수학교 교사의 정신적 피로 축적방지를 위한 여가활용 방법, 휴식시설 등의 개선과 대책이 강구되어야 할 것으로 생각되며, 피로도와 타액 pH와는 어느 정도 상관성을 보이고 있어 생리적인 면을 고려한 이에 대한 계속적인 연구가 필요할 것으로 여겨진다.

학령기 아동의 신체적, 심리사회적 건강상태에 따른 주관적인 삶의 질과 삶의 질에 영향을 미치는 요인 -만성질환과 정서행동문제를 가진 아동을 중심으로- (Self-Reported Quality of Life and Physical, Psychosocial Health State in Korean School-Age Children : Focus on Children with Chronic Diseases and Emotional-Behavioral Problems)

  • The purpose of this study was (1) to examine the impact of chronic diseases and emotional-behavioral problems on school-age children's self-perceived QOL, and (2) to investigate what factors were related to the QOL of children. Participants were 972 Korean 4th, 5th, & 6th grade students and 47 teachers. Children completed a questionnaire to evaluate their self-perceived well-being and subjective health. Also they reported their height/weight and physical health state indicating whether they have chronic diseases or not. Teachers reported each child's psychosocial health problems and also reported whether the child has chronic diseases or not. Major findings were as follows : 1. Physical and psychosocial health status had significant impact on school-age children's QOL. Moreover, physical and psychosocial health status were interrelated. 2. Presence of physical and psychosocial problems contributed to substantial declines in self-perceived QOL of school-age children. Children who have chronic diseases and emotional-behavioral problems reported significantly lower QOL compared with children in a normal state. 3. Peer relationship was found to be the significant factor that contribute to the QOL of all children.

중등교사가 인식하는 유능한 교사의 자질 (The Qualities of an Effective Teacher Recognized by Secondary Teachers)

  • This study examined the qualities of an effective teacher needed to accomplish educational reform successfully and prepare for a rapidly changing knowledge-based society. To achieve the purpose of the study, the following specific questions were looked into; (1) knowledge, skills, attitude of an effective teacher. (2) a proposal for staff development programs to improve the effectiveness of teachers. (3) a proposal to support teachers' efforts to improve their effectiveness. (4) the factors inhibiting the improvement of teachers' effectiveness. In this study, 'in-depth interview' was used for data collection because the study deals with the "subjective consciousness" of teachers, and qualitative research methods are useful to such a case. The research was done on teachers from secondary schools in Pusan City. According to the teachers interviewed, an effective teacher needed in the new age has such knowledge, skills, and attitude as; (1) knowledge in their major, general culture and common sense, psychology of educational counselling, social science, and knowledge and information related to curriculum. (2) effective instruction skills, skills to guide student behavior, skills related to administrative clerical work, using the computers, extra curriculum activities, educational evaluation, using teaching materials, developing educational programs, and good communication skills. (3) attitude relevant to willingness to understand and converse with students at their cognitive level, positive expectations and concern toward students, democratic problem solving, continuous self-study and development, thoroughgoing mission and professionalism, will for educational reform and innovation, neat appearance and refined language, and successful interpersonal relationships. The teachers also said that the current staff development system, as a program to provide necessary qualities for teachers, has improved in the last 3 years through diverse curriculum and systematic programs. However, due to the problematic promotion system, the staff development program has turned into just a 'point collecting' game from the role of in-service training program; teachers take training courses as the means just collecting points for promotion purpose. Factors inhibiting the improvement of teachers are (1) overload of formal paperwork over emphasizing outcome, (2) mannerism of teachers not perceiving their lack of professionalism, (3) the general attitude in the teaching profession resisting change and reform, (4) supervisory activities lacking rigid regulation, (5) research just as the means of point-collection only for promotion, and (6) staff development programs lacking efficiency. These factors, interacting each other, inhibited the improvement of teachers.

2019 개정 누리과정에서 교사의 역할과 발현적 교육과정으로의 가능성 탐구 (The Role of Teachers in the 2019 Revised Nuri Curriculum and exploring the Possibilities as an Emergent Curriculum)

  • 본 연구는 2019 개정 누리과정에서의 교사의 역할을 탐색하고, 적합한 유아교사의 역할을 제시하고, 발현적 교육과정으로써 발전할 수 있는 가능성을 탐구하려는 목적으로 수행되었다. 3~5세 연령별 누리과정에 비해 2019 개정 누리과정의 교사의 역할은 지원자임을 명확히 하고 있었다. 2019 개정 누리과정에서의 교사의 역할 탐구를 통한 발현적 교육과정 가능성을 살펴보았을 때 교사가 유아의 근접발달지대를 적극 활용하여 구성주의적 실천을 할 필요성이 나타났다. 발현적 교육과정을 바탕으로 2019 개정 누리과정에서 실천할 수 있는 교사의 역할은 비계설정을 활용하는 연구자 교사, 교육과정 운영에서 융통성 있는 교사, 자율성을 갖고 유아에 대한 믿음을 가진 교사로 나타났다. 본 논문의 결론으로 첫째, 교사는 개별 유아, 다수의 유아에게 최적의 놀이자료를 제공할 수 있는 전문가가 되어야 한다. 둘째, 교사는 적합한 비계설정을 할 수 있도록 관찰과 기록을 성실히 수행하여야 한다. 셋째, 교사는 유아의 흥미를 지속시킬 수 있도록 끊임없이 발달에 적합한 발문을 수행하여야 한다. 넷째, 교사는 발현적 교육과정에 대한 이해를 바탕으로 2019 개정 누리과정을 운영하여야 한다.

이론과 실제의 상호작용을 통한 효율적인 영어학습 (Optimal learning in English through dynamic cooperation between theory and practice)

  • Nowadays in Korea the subject of English education has been rising as one of the essential matters which need to be emphasized, reorganized, and thus refined. From the history of about one century to the current, English education may be compared to an adolescent who should be paid much more attention to grow as an independent adult. Although we recognize that there was much improvement in the past age of English education, a lot of assignments to solve await us. This study aims to suggest a recipe for optimal learning in English classes by linking theory with practice: First, the nation-wide academic associations of English teaching should act more energetically and cooperatively than ever. They need further specialization, dynamic participation, and systematic organization. At the same time the academic journals of their own should be publicized broadly, internationally as well as nationally. Second, there should be close contact and discussion between professors and secondary-school teachers. To achieve better learning in English classes, an effective cycle of equilibrium ought to be maintained by combining theory with practice. For example, language institute in universities/colleges can serve instructional programs such as lectures, colloquiums, and intensive courses for conversation. Third, native speakers of English should be positively utilized. Teachers had better keep close contact with native speakers as frequently as possible if they want to become fluent or at least acceptable speakers in English. Teachers may also use native speakers as aides in their classes.

여교사의 시부모관 (The View of Home Economics Teachers on Parents-in-Law)

  • The increase of female employees tends to change the traditional division of the roles of members in the family, and as a result it changes the idea of family relation and the extent of how housewives with job feel happy toward their marriage. Therefore, it may be very significant to study what attitude woman job holders as housewives have toward their family, especially parents-in-law. In this paper the writer has sampled as an exemplary group woman teachers who teach home economics in high schools in Seoul, and investigated what opinion they have toward the problem of living together under the same roof with their parents-in-laws and otherwise of financing them in an older age. This analysis is based upon 130 questionnaires collected as proper data out of 138. The conclusion made from the analysis is as follows : (1) as regards the living together under the same roof if necessary in the future, one-fifth of the group approves in affirmative terms ; (2) but when parents-in-law become older, about half of the teachers wish to live with them in the same home and except the indefinite few, one-third of them taken the negative position ; (3) finally, the great majority (84%) regard as their duty the financial support in any case when parents-in-law become older, and only five per cent answer in negative. This analysis leads to the further conclusion that the idea of family relations cherished by high school teachers of home economics is not yet far off the traditional relationship with the intention of gradual improvement, but on the other it still sticks to the traditional line without too much impairing it.

원조전문직의 문화적 역량 선행요인에 관한 연구 - 사회복지사, 교사, 간호사, 사회복지공무원을 중심으로 - (A Study on the Antecedent Factors Affecting Helping Professions' Cultural Competence - Focusing on Social Workers, Teachers, Nurses, and Social Work Civil Servants -)

  • 본 연구는 사회복지사, 교사, 간호사, 사회복지공무원의 문화적 역량 현황과 선행요인을 파악하기 위해 진행되었다. 연구결과 교사의 문화적 역량이 가장 높았으며 사회복지사, 공무원, 간호사 순이었다. 문화적 역량 선행요인으로는 연령, 교육수준, 외국어구사여부, 다문화업무시간, 종사기간, 교육훈련시간, 조직의 지원이 영향을 미치는 것으로 확인되었으며, 각 직군 간에 유의미한 선행요인에도 차이가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 연구결과를 토대로 문화적 역량을 제고하기 위한 정책적 방향과 실천적 함의를 제시하였다.

보육시설 아동의 건강과 안전에 대한 보육교사의 지식, 자신감, 실천 (Knowledge, Self-confidence and Practice of Teachers Concerning Health and Safety of Children in Child-Daycare Centers)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to provide basic data for the development of health and safety programs by examining child-care teacher's knowledge, self-confidence and practice concerning the health and safety of children under their care. Method: The participants were 72 teachers from 15 child care centers in Seoul City and Chung-Nam Province. Data were collected using self-report questionnaires. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, ANOVA and Pearson correlation coefficients with SPSS 12.0 Win program. Results: The mean score for self-confidence was lower than knowledge and practice. Self-confidence score about emergency care for falls, fractures and resuscitation were lowest. For safety knowledge, scores about facility and environment were lowest. For health knowledge, scores about disease and symptoms were lowest. For practice, scores about seat belts and safe furniture arrangement were lowest. Significant correlations were found between practice and self-confidence. There were significant differences in the degree of knowledge according to education, and in practice according to age. Conclusions: Health and safety education programs for child care teachers are necessary for the promotion of knowledge, self-confidence and practice in health and safety. The results suggest that health and safety education program should be provided systematically and continuously for child care teachers.

직업능력개발훈련교사의 임금결정요인 (Determinants of Vocational Training Teachers' Wage)

  • 직업능력개발훈련교사의 전문성 확보와 직업안정성 향상을 위해 상위 등급 자격증의 취득을 권장하고 있지만 현장에서의 호응은 저조한 것으로 평가되고 있다. 본 연구는 직업훈련교사로 근무하고 있는 300명을 대상으로 근로시간 및 임금과 이에 대한 만족도를 파악하였고, 상위 등급 자격소지가 임금결정에 미치는 영향력을 분석하였다. 임금결정에 영향을 미치는 요인은 남성, 연령, 대학원 졸업, 총근속기간, 총근로시간, 현재 근무처, 정규직 여부와 함께 자격 등급인 것으로 분석되었다. 본 연구 결과는 직업훈련교사 일자리 개선방안을 위한 기초자료로 이용될 것으로 기대한다.

교사의 건강증진생활양식 실천도와 관련요인 (Health-Promoting Life-Style and Related Factors Among Teachers)

  • This study was aimed at examining the self-reported health-promoting life- style (HPL) and related factors among teachers assumed to be role models for students. The subjects were 300 teachers who were conviently drawn from nine elementary schools and three high schools. The conceptual framework for this study was based on the Pender's revised Health Promotion Model(1996). Data was collected by a mailed survey (response rate, 62.5%) with structured questionnaire. The score of health-promoting life-style was 2.8(full mark: 5.0), harmonized relationship was the highest(3.2), and professional helath management was the lowest(2.0). The related factors to health-promoting life-styles were age, marital stauts, career, perceived health status, self esteem, intermal locus of control, perceived benefit, perceived barrier, self efficacy, and social support in univariate analysis. In the final regression model, predictors of HPL were social support, self esteem, perceived benefit. self efficacy, and perceived health status after control the effects of demographic characteristics (p<.0001, R2=0.494). The results generally supported the Pender Model. It is recommended to develop the health promotion program for teachers based on these results, and to evaluate the effect of that program for teacher.
