  • A small infrared image homing system is a tracking system that has an infrared image sensor that identifies a target through the day and night infrared image processing of the target on the ground and searches for and detects the target with respect to the main target. This paper describes the development of a board equipped with a high-speed CPU and FPGA (Field Programmable Gate Array) to identify target through real-time image processing by acquiring target information through infrared image. We propose a CPU-FPGA combining architecture for CPU and FPGA selection and video signal processing, and also describe a controller design using FPGA to control infrared sensor.

  • This paper describes the development of a target vehicle state estimation algorithm using vehicle-to-vehicle (V2V) communication. Perceiving the state of the target vehicle has great importance for successful autonomous driving and has been studied using various sensors and methods for many years. V2V communication has advantage of not being constrained by surrounding circumstances relative to other sensors. In this paper, we adopt the V2V signal for estimating the target vehicle state. Since applying only the V2V signal is improper by its low frequency and latency, the signal is used as additional measured data to improve the estimation accuracy. We estimate the target vehicle state using Extended Kalman filter (EKF); a point mass model was utilized in process update to predict the state of next step. The process update is followed by measurement update when ego vehicle receives V2V information. The proposed study evaluated state estimation by comparing input V2V information in an experiment where the ego vehicle follows the target vehicle behind it.

  • Surveillance reconnaissance sensor network is used for surveillance in wartime and area of operation. In this paper, we propose a target localization method using the detection signal strength of seismic sensors. Relay equipment calculates the target location using coordinate information and detection signal strength of the seismic sensors. Target localization error deviation due to environmental factors was minimized by subtracting the dynamic offset when calculating the target location. Field test shows improvement of target localization through reduction of errors. The average error was decreased to 3.62m. Up to 62% improved result was obtained compared to weighted centroid localization method.

  • It is using to incident angle estimation technique in order to target estimation in radar. This paper was estimated incident angle estimation for target using adaptive array incident angle and single look error incident angle estimation technique. We estimated signal incident angle of target to removal main lobe and side lobe to adaptive array incident angle technique. It is difficult to correctly target estimation because single look technique increase direction error of signal incident angle. In order to receive a desired target signal must be not almost look error between signal incident angle and look angle. we had decreased to occur a look error using delay time and single look condition to calculation a covariance when incident angle estimate. Through simulation, we show that the proposed incident angle estimation technique improves the performance of target estimation compared to previous method.

  • This paper compares the results of ${\Sigma}{\Delta}-STAP$ applied to actual radar test data and simulation data. The radar received a target signal from a virtual target generator and the clutter signal from a signal generator in an anechoic chamber. The simulation data were generated from ideal baseband radar signal modeling using the same parameter as that for the test radar. The ${\Sigma}{\Delta}-STAP$ results of the test and simulation data are similar in terms of the target signal shape and noise level. The SINR(Signal-to-Interfrence-plus-Noise Ratio) loss also had similar aspects, but the simulation result shows 1~2 dB higher SINR loss than the test result. This result verified that the simulation data can be a reasonable alternative test data when the ${\Sigma}{\Delta}-STAP$ is applied.

  • This paper presents the realization schemes for a multipurpose coherent mono-pulse radar Simulator with extendable features. We developed and installed the TSG(Timing Signal Generator) board which can simulate a mechanically rotate signal of antenna, an operation timing signal of pulse radar and target signal, to operate the simulator without real target in the indoor environment. Also, with the insertion of the radar signal processor, it came to be easy to achieve the addition of radar function algorithms, to rebuild or extend the multi-DSP Architecture into the simulator. Throughout the simulation results, we verified that the designed coherent mono-pulse radar simulator can exactly display a moving target on the realistic monitor(RD 9800).

  • Ryu et al. proposed a multiple target angle tracking algorithm using the angular measurement obtained from the signal subspace estimated by the output of sensor array. Ryu's algorithm has good features that it has no data association problem and simple structure. But its performance is seriously degraded in the low signal-to-noise ratio, and it uses the angular measurement obtained from the signal subspace of sampling time, even though the signal subspace is continuously updated by the output of sensor array. For improving the tracking performance of Ryu's algorithm, a measurement fusion method is derived based on ML(Maximum Likelihood) in this paper, and it admits us to use the angular measurements obtained form the adjacent signal subspaces as well as the signal subspace of sampling time. The new target angle tracking algorithm is proposed using the derived measurement fusion method. The proposed algorithm has a better tracking performance than that of Ryu's algorithm and it sustains the good features of Ryu's algorithm.

Proposal MUSIC spatial spectrum algorithm in paper use model error and Bayesian method to estimation on correct target position. Receiver array response vector using adaptive array antenna use Bayesian method, and target position estimate to update weight value with model error method. Target's signal estimation of desired direction of arrival in this paper apply weight value of signal covariance matrix for array response vector after removing incident signal interference and noise, respectively. Though simulation, we analyze to compare proposed method with general method.

  • This paper introduces a signal processing technique for discrimination of missile target. In order to detect and discriminate the target, a seeker radar makes use of chirp waveform and stretch processing to generate high resolution range profiles(HRRPs). RELAX(relaxation) algorithm, which is one of the spectral estimation techniques, was used to find scattering centers of a missile from HRRP. From the information on the distribution of one-dimensional(1-D) scattering centers on a target, we can discriminate the target without noise.

  • Target signal feature parameters are very important to classify target by active sonar. Two highly correlated broadband pulses separated by time T have a time separation pitch (TSP) of 1/THz, equal to the spacing between ripples of its spectrum. In this study, TSP is applied to scaled-target echoes to be used as a feature parameter. The TSP from the target sign리 when source signals are CW short, CW long, and LFM long was investigated. It is also found the TSP can be applied to the target signal with doppler shift. It is shown that the position and magnitude of highlight can be found for LSEM based on TSP.
