A Non-contact Two-Dimensional Position Sensing Device Using Electromagnetic Induction (전자기 유도 방식을 이용한 비접촉식 2차원 위치 센서)

  • In this paper, we would like to introduce two dimensional non-contact position sensor by using an electromagnetic induction based coil system and an algorithm to estimate the position of pointer. The sensor which will introduce in this paper is composed of a pointer including LC resonant circuit and a sensor board to detect the electromagnetic signal from the pointer. Because of the simplicity shape of the line antenna, low cost and free form curved shape of the sensor device is possible. In this research, we proposed a new two dimensional non-contact type electromagnetic sensor system and realized the proposed sensor device. From the experiments, the proposed device can be employed for the two dimensional position sensor.

Writer Identification using Wii Remote Controller

  • The objective of this study was to develop a system for handwriting recognition in three dimensions (3D) to authenticate users. While previous studies have used a stylus pen for two-dimensional input on a tablet, this study uses the Wii Remote controller because it can capture 3D human motion and could therefore be more effective means of recognition. The information obtained from a Wii Remote controller included x and y coordinates, acceleration (x, y, z), angular velocity (pitch, yaw, roll), twelve input buttons, and time. The proposed system calculates distances using six features extracted after preprocessing the data. In an experiment where 15 subjects wrote "AIZU" 10 times, we obtained a 94.8% identification rate using a combination of writing velocity, the peak value of pitch, and the peak value of yaw. This suggests that this system holds promise for handwriting-based authentication in the future.

  • There is tremendous increasing demand on spectrum resource which is boosted by spread of cloud computing and M2M telecommunication as well as smart phone and tablet PC. Recently, spectrum sharing technology has drawn attention to the spectrum policy makers as a promising way to overcome limitation of scarce spectrum resource. To succeed in commercialization of spectrum sharing technology, it is necessary to prospect the future business ecosystem of spectrum sharing and develop appropriate policies and laws at the same time along with the advance of spectrum sharing technology. The purpose of this paper is to prospect future spectrum sharing ecosystem and analyze business ecosystem of spectrum sharing with casual loop map. With the causal map and system dynamics method, it is possible to analyze feedback loops which is not limited to linear thinking and build policies which optimize positive dynamics in business ecosystem of spectrum sharing.

  • The present method is to describe a potentiometric norfloxacin electrode system characterized by a membrane, based on the use of norfloxacin (NF) complex with ion-association reagents. These complexes were dissolved in DMSO, DMF acetonitrile or acetone and dispersed in plasticized poly(vinyl chloride) matrix. The picric acid complex electrode exhibited near-Nernstian response for NF in acetate buffer solution (pH 4.0) with a slope of 53.03 mV/decade. And linear response over the range of 10$^{-5}$ to 10$^{-3}$M solution of NE. The ingredients in tablet, capsule and biological important organic acids were not interfere.

  • 스마트폰 시장의 성장 그리고 스마트폰 시장 내의 안드로이드 시장이 급성장함에 따라 안드로이드 기반의 다양한 앱에 대한 수요가 많아지고 있다. 그중에서도 안드로이드 앱에 대한 수요는 기하급수적으로 증가 하고 있다. 또한 스마트폰뿐만 아니라 타블릿PC 시장도 성장하면서 타블릿PC 앱에 대한 수요도 증가하고 있다. 하지만 타블릿PC 전용 앱의 개발은 아직 미흡하다. 본 논문에서는 안드로이드 타블릿PC 기반으로 스케줄링과 가계부를 지원하는 시스템의 설계 및 구현에 대한 내용을 기술한다. 또한 Android의 강점인 Google 계정과의 Synchronization을 통해 PC와 타블릿PC에서의 스케줄 관리를 할 수 있으며 자체적으로 만든 서버를 통하여 공공일정을 자신이 원하는 항목을 선택하여 다운로드하여 관리 할 수 있다. 가계부는 수입과 지출을 관리하고 그래프를 통하여 자신이 어느 정도로 사용을 하였는가를 확인할 수 있다.

A Study on the Meaning and Spatial Characteristics of the Chinese Zhuozhengyuan from the Tablets (편액을 통해 본 중국 졸정원의 의미와 공간 특성)

  • The results of this study attempting to graft to the space by cognizing and categorizing the characteristic of the under-toned private property to the tablets of the Zhuozhengyuan are as follows. The tablet of Zhuozhengyuan was typed into three groups. In the A group, the frequency of artificial elements including the top, ship, and head was high, and the main emphasis was on the elegance and integrity spirit that the Sunbi(classical scholar) had to have. It has a characteristic of good architects such as pavilion and Nu(樓) is included and as it is adjacent to the water surface the one side of the building is integrated to the water surface. The B group is characterized mainly by the fact that the scenery is portrayed through the climatic factors including rain, wind, and snow, or the scene atmosphere and it is located at the top of the summit which is good for viewing the scenery. In the C group, plant elements such as lotus, magnolia, plum, and bamboo appeared frequently, and various buildings such as pavilion, Kwan(館), Gak(閣) and Dang(堂) belong to this structure. The structure has the characteristic of integrating directly with the water surface or putting the terrace between and scattering throughout the whole garden. Furthermore, this study identified area characteristics based on the frequency of the tablet type. In the west area, Group A is mostly distributed and the humor and concept implied in the tablet, combined with the shape and location of the scenery, viewpoint of the viewer, and the composition of the landscape, improved the orderliness of the space, which led to expand the scope of the enjoyment to the entire space. Meanwhile, in the middle area, tablets of Group C are mostly distributed, and the unique characteristics and shapes of the woody plants that were used as the name of the tablet were connected with various buildings including pavilion, Dang, Kuan, and Gak, improving the unique identity of the space and forming connection with the world of ideas through unity and independence.

  • The osmotic delivery systems are based on osmosis. The transverse diffusion of water through a porous membrane from a medium with a low osmotic pressure to a medium with a high osmotic pressure. Nifedipine tablet dosage forms of Procardia $XL^{(R)}$(Pfizer) and $Adalat^{(R)}$(Bayer) are commercialized systems of this type that push-pull osmotic tablet operates successfully in delivering water-insoluble drugs. We prepared osmotic pellet system by fluidized bed coating method, and model-drug used nifedipine. The osmotic pellet system was composed of the core material. the swelling and osmotic pressure layer, the drug coating layer, and the porous membrane. This work is performed to investigate the effect of different factors, such as composition and thickness of membrane. The osmotic pellet has been successfully prepared by fluidized bed coating technology. The drug release behavior depended on the increase of CA ratio and thickness in porous membrane. The morphology of the osmotic pellet before and after the dissolution test were observed by SEM. In conclusion, we found that the drug release of osmotic pellet depended on the composition and coating thickness of porous membrane.

A Study on A Tablet-PC Based Application Design For Self-examination of Dementia (치매 자가 진단을 위한 태블릿 PC용 어플리케이션 설계 연구)

  • In this study, we suggest a tablet-PC based application as an instrument for self-examination of dementia and aim to evaluate its usability for the practical use. The tool for the self-diagnosis of dementia is testing a person's sentence comprehension, which is investigated by the accuracy of a sentence-picture matching task, and the result of the test can differentiate individuals with dementia of Alzheimer's type from normal aging population. According to its use for diagnosis of dementia, we developed a new version of sentence-picture matching task by a cooperative study with NABLE(Neurogenic communication And Brain Lab at Ewha) and applied to the application as a main function. Targeting the New Silver who are preliminary aged people in Korea, this application can provide them with three values: 'self-', 'easy', and 'simple'. When using this application, users can gain these values by an instruction manual with the recorded guide voice, easy-to-use functions and the simplified menu structure of it. After prototyping, we conducted the usability test and it was proved as a result that the New Silver users can easily operate the application by themselves.

Development of the Diagnostic Matrix of the Seoul Cognitive Status Test, Compared to Traditional Paper-and-Pencil Neuropsychological Tests

  • Background and Purpose: We aimed to develop the diagnostic matrix of the Seoul Cognitive Status Test (SCST) and compare its performance with traditional paper-and-pencil neuropsychological tests, including the Seoul Neuropsychological Screening Battery-II (SNSB-II) and the Korean version of the Consortium to Establish a Registry for Alzheimer's Disease (CERAD-K). Methods: We recruited 197 participants from the head-to-head SCST-SNSB cohort, and 204 participants from the head-to-head SCST-CERAD cohort. They underwent either SNSB-II or CERAD-K, in addition to SCST. The diagnostic matrix was developed by combining cognitive function, determined by neuropsychological tests, and activities of daily living (ADL), determined by Instrumental-ADL scales. Results: The diagnostic agreement between the SCST and the SNSB-II was 83.9% (weighted kappa=0.87). The agreement between the SCST and the CERAD-K was 84.3% (weighted kappa=0.88). In the SCST-SNSB cohort, all differences in SCST scores between the cognitively unimpaired (CU), mild cognitive impairment (MCI), and dementia diagnosed with the SNSB-II were significant in all cognitive domains (all p<0.01), except for the executive domain between CU and MCI (p=0.145). In the SCST-CERAD cohort, all differences in SCST scores between the 3 groups diagnosed with the CERAD-K were significant in all cognitive domains (all p<0.01), except for the language and visuospatial domains between MCI and dementia (p=0.169 and p=0.778, respectively). Conclusions: Our findings suggest that the tablet-based SCST may be another option to traditional paper-and-pencil neuropsychological tests, especially in situations where time and space are relatively limited, and neuropsychological testing specialists are not available.

Especially, contents sharing technology is utilized in any devices. But current contents sharing systems are made on various versions for various smart devices. These methods will be raising cost for development of application. Therefore it must using web technology for reducing cost. In this paper, we had analyzed performance of file transmission using web technology and compared with application based system.
