직교배열표를 이용한 고강도콘크리트 내화성능 보강재의 배합 최적화 연구 (A Study on the Optimization of the Mix Proportions of High Strength Concrete Fire-Resistant Reinforcement Using Orthogonal Array Table)

  • 고강도콘크리트의 취약점으로 지적되고 있는 화재시의 폭렬현상에 대한 대책을 마련하기 위해 각 계의 노력이 활발한 현 상황에서 각종 폭렬 저감성 재료 및 새로운 개념의 소재에 대한 적정 혼입비율을 구명해야 하는 긴요한 상황이다. 본 연구에서는 메타카올린, 페타이어칩, 폴리프로필렌섬유 및 강섬유의 4가지 기능성 소재를 대상으로, 기본적인 품질 요건은 물론, 내화성능에 최적의 효과를 나타낼 수 있는 배합비를 실험적, 통계적으로 도출하고자 하였다. 여기서, 실험은 4인자 3수준의 직교배열표를 이용하여 최소실험법으로 계획하고, 통계적 분석은 반응표면분석 기법을 이용하였다. 그 결과, 80 MPa급 고강도콘크리트의 내화성능 보강인자로 선정된 기능성 소재간에는 복합 사용시 상호 보완적인 기여를 하는 것으로 확인되었다. 한편, 반응표면분석을 통해 도출한 내화성능 보강인자의 최적조건은 메타카올린을 실리카퓸 대신 80% 수준으로 용적치환하고, 폐타이어칩은 잔골재 대신 3% 수준으로 용적치환하는 경우와 폴리프로필렌 섬유를 전체용적에 대하여 0.2% 수준으로 첨가하는 한편, 강섬유를 혼입하지 않는 것이 고강도콘크리트의 기초 특성과 내화특성을 고루 만족할 수 있는 것으로 분석되었다.

점진성형에서 형상 정밀도에 영향을 미치는 공정 변수 (Effective Process Parameters on Shape Dimensional Accuracy in Incremental Sheet Metal Forming)

  • Incremental sheet metal forming is a manufacturing process to produce thin parts using sheet metals by a series of small incremental deformation. The process rarely needs dedicated dies and molds, thus, preparation time for the process is relatively short as to be compared to conventional metal forming. Spring back in sheet metal working is very common, which causes critical errors in dimensions. Incremental sheet metal forming is not fully investigated yet. Hence, incremental sheet metal forming frequently produces inaccurate parts. This paper proposes a method to minimize dimensional errors to improve shape accuracy of products manufactured by incremental forming. This study conducts experiments using an exclusive incremental forming machine and the material for these experiments are sheets of aluminum AL1015. This research defines a process parameter and selects a few factors for the experiments. The parameters employed in this paper are tool feed rate, tool diameter, step depth, material thickness, forming method, dies applied, and tool path method. In addition, their levels for each factor are determined. The plan of the experiments is designed using orthogonal array $L_8$ ($2^7$) which requires minimum number of experiments. Based on the measurements, dimensional errors are collected both on the tool contacted surfaces and on the non-contacted surfaces. The distances between the formed surfaces and the CAD models are scanned and recorded using a commercial software product. These collected data are statistically analyzed and ANOVAs (analysis of variances) are drawn up. From the ANOVAs, this paper concludes that the process parameters of tool diameter, forming depth, and forming method are the significant factors to reduce the errors on the tool contacted surface. On the other hand, the experimental factors of forming method and dies applied are the significant factors on the non-contacted surface. However, the negative forming method always produces better accuracy than the positive forming method.

고속 정면밀링가공을 위한 진동 파라미터에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Vibration Parameters for High Speed Face Milling Machining)

  • 더 빠른 절삭속도와 이송속도를 위한 고속가공은 표면품위와 재료제거율의 증가를 초래한다. 이 논문은 고속가공을 위한 정면밀링커터를 사용한 가공에서 획득된 진동특성에 관한 절삭조건의 영향을 연구하였다. 이 논문에서, 직교배열 테이블에 기초한 다구찌 실험계획법은 고속 정면밀링커터를 사용한 진동특성을 연구하기 위해 적용되었다. 실험조건은 직교배열 $L_{27}(3^{13})$ 을 사용하였다. 실험의 계획과 분석은 S/N비(신호 대 잡음비)와 분산분석을 이용하여 진동에 관한 절삭조건의 영향을 연구하기 위해 수행되었다. 절삭 파라미터 즉 이송속도, 챔퍼길이, 절삭속도 그리고 절삭깊이는 진동 특성치를 고려하여 최적화 되었다.

구성인선을 고려한 소형 박판 밀링공구의 설계 (Design of A Small Thin Milling Cutter Considering Built-up Edge)

  • Generally, a metal slitting saw is plain milling cutter with thickness less than 3/16 inch. This is used for cutting a workpiece that high dimensional accuracy and surface finish is necessary. A small thin milling cutter like a metal slitting saw is useful for machining a narrow groove. In this case, built up edge(BUE) is severe at each tooth and affects the surface integrity of the machined surface and tool wear. It is well known that tool geometry and cutting conditions are decisive factors to remove BUE. In this paper, we optimized the geometry of the milling cutter and selected cutting conditions to remove BUE by the experimental investigation. The experiment was planned with Taguchi method based on the orthogonal array of design factors such as coating, rake angle, number of tooth, cutting speed, feed rate. Response table was obtained from the number of built-up edge generated at tooth. The optimized tool geometry and cutting conditions could be determined through response table. In addition, the relative effect of factors was identified bh the analysis of variance (ANOVA). Finally, coating and cutting speed turned out important factors for BUE.

한국형 고속전철 현가장치 최적설계를 위한 반응표면모델과 유전자 알고리즘 모델에 관한 연구 (A study on the response surface model and the neural network model to optimize the suspension characteristics for Korean High Speed Train)

  • In design of suspension system for KHST, it was applied the approximated optimization method using meta-models which called Response Surface Model and Neural Network Model for 29 design variables and 46 performance index. These models was coded using correlation between design variables and performance indices that is made by the 66 times iterative execution through the design of experimental table consisted orthogonal array L32 and D-Optimal design table. The results show that the optimization process is very efficient and simply applicable for complex mechanical system such as railway vehicle system. Also it was compared with the sensitivity of some design variables in order to know the characteristics of two models. This paper describes the general method for dynamic analysis and design process of railway vehicle system applied to KHST development, and proposed the efficient methods for vibration mode analysis process dealing with test data and the function based approximation method using meta-model applicable for a complex mechanical system. This method will be able to apply to the other railway vehicle system in oder to systematize and generalize the design process of railway vehicle dynamic system.

전기자동차의 유럽 OFFSET 충돌 특성 기초 연구 (A Basic Study of the European Offset Characteristics of Electric Vehicle)

  • European offset impact analysis of an electric vehicle was done using the robust design method. Section properties of some of the vehicle structure components which influence the european offset impact characteristics were chosen as the main factors fur the design. Eight factors were considered for the analysis: one with two level and seven with three level combinations comprising the L$\_$18/(2$^1$$\times$3$\^$7/) orthogonal array. It is shown that the sensitivities of the factors and the best combination of the factors can be obtained. One of the noteworthy results is that the design with the lower stiffness of the front components of engine room than the rear components can absorb more crash energy. Also it is shown that there exist interactions between some of factors considered.

  • The problem considered in this paper is to select the vital factor effect to the product quality through the experimental design and analysis of response surface, so as to control the quality improvement of industrial product. In this time, even through the mathematical model is unknown it could be applicable to control the quality of industrial products and to determine optimum operating condition for many technical fields, particulary, for industrial manufacturing process. When a set of data is available from an experimental design, it is often of interest 1:0 fit polynominal repression model in independent variables (eg, time, temperature, pressure, etc) the optimize the response variable (eg. yield, strength etc). This paper proposes a method known to obtain the optimum operating condition, and how to find the condition by using table of orthogonal array experiments, and optimization methodology of statistical model. A criterion can be applied determining to optimum operating conditions in manufacturing industry and improving the fit of response surface which may be used for prediction of responses and quality control of industrial products.

  • An Application of Experimental Designs to Improve the quality of Industrial product : optimization Methodology of statistical model. The primary object of this paper is to aid scientists and Engineers, in applying response surface procedures to obtain operating conditions for many technical fields, particularly for industrial manufacturing processes. The problem considered in this paper is to select technically and scientifically some important factors affecting the quality of products through the experimental design and analysis of response surface.   • This paper deals with the impact analysis of the impact absorbing system consist of one degree of freedom and two degree of freedom damping-spring system in spreader to increase efficiency of it. It shows the optimum damping coefficient and spring constant of impact absorbing system using for crane spreader and the optimum condition of impact absorbing system causing certain contact impulse. In the optimal model, the contact impulse is reduced 98.57 percent and 92.22 percent respectively.
