단속하드터닝에서 잔류응력과 가공변질층의 고찰 (Residual sterss and damaged layer in an intermittent hard turning)

  • Hard turning has the potential to replace grinding process and to achieve significant reduction in production time and cost. The main applications for hard turning is finishing process, namely grinding process. Therefore, it must be able to satisfy high surface integrity of the workpiece. This paper discusses surface quality in terms of residual stress and damaged layer with respect to cutting parameters in an intermittent hard turning. Damaged layer experiment is carried out orthogonal array. From that is based on the orthogonal array. From the response table, cutting parameters are analyzed from the view point of the damaged layer and residual stress. From this experimental results, even though in the intermittent hard turning, surface integrity turns out be good enough for replacing grinding process.

  • This article presents a method to calculate the sound radiation of transmission gearbox housing by using Helmholtz integral. Rayleigh integral is used to verify the method. Half-space radiation is considered because the actual gearbox housing is on hard place like concrete. For optimization, orthogonal array is used as a fractional factorial design method. Sound Radiation is calculated with simple source like plate and sphere shape, then actual gearbox BEM model is applied to the method.

  • On this study, we optimized minimizing the characteristic function for mixed result of the structural contact analysis and the buckling analysis according to the pin jig initial model's level change using mixed the table of orthogonal away and ANOM, Pin jig's weight is reduced up to 20 percent considering constraint conditions. Also we optimized reducing 20 percent weight of pin jig model using topology optimization.

다구찌 실험 계획법을 이용한 고속가공에서 공구수명 조건의 최적화 (Optimal Cutting Condition of Tool Life in the High Speed Machining by Taguchi Design of Experiments)

  • High Speed Machining(HSM) reduces machining time and improves surface accuracy because of the high cutting speed and feedrate. Development of HSM makes it allowable to machine difficult-to-cut material and use small-size-endmill. It is however limited to cutting condition and tool material. In the machining operation, it is important to check main parameter of tool life and select optimal cutting condition because tool breakage can interrupt progression of operation. In this study, cutting parameters are determined to 3 factors and 3 levels which are a spindle speed, a feedrate and a width of cut. Experiment is designed to orthogonal array table for L9 with 3 outer array using Taguchi method. Also, it is proposed to inspect significance of the optimal factors and levels by ANOVA using average of SN ratio for tool life. Finally, estimated value of SN ratio in the optimal cutting condition is compared with measured one in the floor shop and reduction of loss is predicted.

  • 자동차 측면 충돌사고는 충격흡수공간이 충분하지 않기 때문에 정면 충돌사고와는 달리 발생빈도에 비하여 탑승자의 상해비율이 매우 높은 경향을 나타낸다. 측면 충돌사고 발생시 탑승자를 보호하기 위하여 전세계 각국에서는 자동차안전기준 및 안전도평가 등의 법규를 시행 및 강화하고 있다. 그러나 차체 자체의 충격흡수력을 이용한 수동 안전방식으로는 협소한 공간에 기술을 적용하는데 한계가 있다. 커튼 에어백은 측면 에어백과 함께 현재로서는 측면충돌시 탑승자를 보호하는 가장 효과적인 시스템이다. 본 연구에서는 측면 충돌사고 발생시 탑승자의 머리상해지수를 감소시키기 위한 커튼 에어백의 최적설계를 수행하였다. 충돌 시뮬레이션을 바탕으로 직교배열표와 일원표, 그리고 반응표면법을 순차적으로 적용하고 각각의 결과에 대하여 확인실험으로 검증하여 커튼 에어백의 최적설계를 수행하였다.

탄성체의 에너지 변환을 이용한 점프 로봇의 기구변수 최적화 (Kinematic Parameter Optimization of Jumping Robot Using Energy Conversion of Elastic Body)

  • Various jumping robot platforms have been developed to carry out missions such as rescues, explorations, or inspections of dangerous environments. We suggested a jumping robot platform using energy conversion of the elastic body like the bar of a pole vault, which is the main part in which elastic force occurs. The compliant link was optimized by an optimization method based on Taguchi methodology, and the robot's leaping ability was improved. Among the parameters, the length, width, and thickness of the link were selected as design variables first while the others were fixed. The level of the design variables was settled, and an orthogonal array about its combination was made. In the experiment, dynamic simulations were conducted using the DAFUL program, and response table and sensitivity analyses were performed. We found optimized values through a level average analysis and sensitivity analysis. As a result, the maximum leaping height of the optimized robot increased by more than 6.2% compared to the initial one, and these data will be used to design a new robot.

EPS 엔드밀 가공 시 표면 거칠기에 미치는 가공조건에 관한 연구 (A study on machining conditions on surface roughness in EPS End-milling)

  • EPS used in lost foam casting elastic modulus is extremely low. So it is necessary to derive machining conditions for effective cutting. Therefore this study were analyzed end-milling machining conditions to affecting the surface roughness of EPS foam. The machining conditions were set to depth, feed, and RPM at 3-level. And 18experimental conditions were derived using mixed orthogonal array. The most important condition for surface roughness is RPM. In addition, RPM machining condition range test that can realize surface roughness less than $10{\mu}m$ was performed. he range of RPM conditions is more than 15,000. However the range of RPM conditions is a condition that is difficult to use in actual field. In the future variance analysis and experiments are needed to derive the range of machining conditions available.

산업 디자인에 있어서 직교배열표 적용에 따른 기초치수 적정치 산출에 관한 연구 (A Study on Selection of Optimal Basic Dimensions by Utilization of Orthogonal Array Table in Industrial Design)

  • 산업디자인에서 디자인 대상에 대한 철저한 분석과 이해는 필수적인 선행요건이다. 그러나 디자인 프로세스에서 이러한 고려사항을 모두 충족시키고 우수한 제품을 디자인하기 위한 가이드가 되는 데이터를 얻기란 쉬운 일이 아니다. 이에 본 연구에서는 직교배열표를 이용하여 신뢰도를 높일 수 있는 산업디자인 기초모델을 제안한다. 특히 실험을 간편화하고 결과치의 유효성을 높이고자 하는 직교배열표 본래의 목적은 산업디자인 프로세스에서 충분히 달성함과 동시에, 디자인 프로세스의 동시화로 디자인 요소의 비정량적 데이터를 정량화하고 그에 대한 상호작용에 대해서 알아보았다. 이 방법은 또한 산업디자인에서 고려사항을 도출할 수 있는 방법을 제시함으로써 디자이너들이 제품개발에 있어서 더 완성도가 높은 제품을 개발할 수 있고, 데이터를 실증해 보임으로써 정확한 판단을 내리는데 도움을 줄 수 있다.

최적반력을 가지는 도어 씨일의 단면설계 (Design of Door Seal Section with Optimal Reaction Force)

  • In order to improve the function of a door seal, its section design technique is discussed in this study, Its roles are prevention of an inflow of dusts, noise interception, insulation, wateproof, and the vibroisolating action which reduces vibration between the body and the door of a car while running, and the buffer action which sustain the proper reacting force as the door is closed. In this study, the optimal cross section of a door seal is designed using nonlinear finite element analysis (commercial finete element analysis program EASi-SEAL) and tables of orthogonal arralys with respect to relations between door and door seal to secure the satisfactory airtight property with the minimum force to shut the door.

  • Built-up edge affects the surface integrity of the machined surface and tool wear. Tool geometry and cutting conditions are very important factors to remove BUE. In this paper, we optimized the geometry of the metal slitting saw .1nd cutting conditions to remove BUE by the experiment. In general, the metal slitting saw is plain milling cutter with thickness less of a 3/16 inch. This is used for cutting workpiece where high dimensional accuracy and surface finish are necessary. The experiment was planned with Taguchi method that is based on the orthogonal array of design factors(coating, rake angle, number of tooth, cutting speed, feed rate). Response table was made by the value of the surface roughness, the optimized tool geometry and cutting conditions through response table could be determined. In addition. the relative effect of factors were identified by the variance analysis. filially. coating and cutting speed turned out important factors.
