The Effects of Perceived Korea Image on the Evaluation and Purchase Intention for Korean Apparel Products among Chinese Female Consumers (지각된 한국이미지가 중국여성소비자의 한국의류제품평가와 구매의도에 미치는 영향)

  • The purposes of this study were to investigate the effect of perceived Korea image on the evaluation and purchase intention of Korean apparel products and examine the effect of perceived Korea image on preference of Korean image and Korean apparel brand among Chinese female consumers. As variables of perceived Korea image, marketing stimulus and popular culture elements were included. Data were obtained from 350 Chinese women in the 20s and 30s who were living in Shanghi, China. Data were analyzed by frequency analysis, ANOVA, multivariate regression using SPSS WIN 12.0. The results of this study were as follows. First, the preference of Korea image was significantly affected by marketing stimulus and popular culture (e.g. TV drama of Korea). However, only marketing elements significantly affected on the preference of Korean apparel brands. Second, purchase intention of Korean apparel products was influenced by marketing stimulus, the preference of Korean apparel brands and the evaluation of Korean apparel products. Popular culture element which was main element of Hanliu was not affected significantly to purchase intention of Korean apparel products. As source of Korean brand image for apparel product, Chinese female consumers used more Korean TV drama and entertainers. This study provides an insight into Korean fashion marketers for developing market strategies in China.

  • TV microphonic phenomenon (black patterns overlapped on the image when TV sound is set too high) was studied experimentally. It was found that this phenomenon was due to the vibration generated at speakers, and transmitted to the CRT through the TV cabinet structure. Based on this fact, a simulative study was carried out on the assumption that the vibratory motion of the shadow mask located in the CRT could cause the landing error of electronic beam. The result of the simulation corresponded qualitatively with experi- mentally observed facts.

The Effect of a Family Restaurant's Brand Symbol on Brand Image, Preference, and Purchasing Intention (패밀리 레스토랑의 브랜드 심벌이 브랜드 이미지, 선호도 및 구매의도에 미치는 영향)

  • This study is concerned with the effect of a brand symbol of a family restaurant on brand image, preference, and purchasing intention. With regard to analysis methods, the study carried out a reliability test and a validity test concerning a precedent research concept, ahead of verifying the hypothesis by using the SPSS Ver. 16.0. Also, the study conducted a frequency analysis, technical analysis, exploratory factor analysis, and regression analysis for verifying the hypothesis. As a result of the research, regarding a brand symbol as a visual symbol, three factors including a functional factor, a value factor, and an aesthetic factor were extracted, and of them, the functional factor and an aesthetic factor were discovered to influence of the brand image and preference which affected purchasing intention. In addition, consumers preferred a logo type that includes a company name or a brand name rather than a picture or a mark type of a symbol regarding a brand symbol, and they answered that outdoor advertising would raise awareness more than TV advertising. Based on these results, using a logo type symbol and the mix of outdoor advertising and TV advertising should be considered for brand launch.

The change of pupil size after viewing three dimensional TV (2안식 입체TV 주시전후의 동공면적의 변화)

  • The physiological change of eyes while viewing 3D TV was investigated. The change of pupil size was used as the measure of evaluation. The results are as follows : (1) The pupil size decreases after viewing 2D and 3D image and the the tendency is more critical with 3D images. (2) The indoor illumination has a significant effect on the pupil size in both 2D and 3D cases. (3) Less chage of pupil size were observed under the indoor illumination. Thus, if we only focus on the visual load on the eye, for viewing 3D image, it will be better to use indoor illumination.

  • When viewing images, the relative luminance of the surround has a profound impact on the apparent contrast of the image. The dark surround causes the image elements to appear lighter than those viewed in an illuminated surround. For this reason, it is worthwhile to briefly review the general results of brightness sealing under a various viewing condition. Two of the most often cited parers on the topic of brightness scaling are Stevens-stevens and Bartleson-Breneman's function. There are, however, significant differences between the perceptual functions for simple-field and complex-field viewing. In this paper, we research the relationship between Steven's power law and Bartleson-Breneman's function. We present an appropriate brightness perception function due to TV system viewing conditions. Highlight luminance peak and absolute brightness threshold value in various adaptation levels are obtained from the proposed brightness function . Also, the luminance value of black level to produce the same contrast ratio with variety of display highlight luminance peak is obtained from the proposed brightness function.

MULTIGRID METHOD FOR TOTAL VARIATION IMAGE DENOISING

  • Total Variation(TV) regularization method is effective for reconstructing "blocky", discontinuous images from contaminated image with noise. But TV is represented by highly nonlinear integro-differential equation that is hard to solve. There have been much effort to obtain stable and fast methods. C. Vogel introduced "the Fixed Point Lagged Diffusivity Iteration", which solves the nonlinear equation by linearizing. In this paper, we apply multigrid(MG) method for cell centered finite difference (CCFD) to solve system arise at each step of this fixed point iteration. In numerical simulation, we test various images varying noises and regularization parameter $\alpha$ and smoothness $\beta$ which appear in TV method. Numerical tests show that the parameter ${\beta}$ does not affect the solution if it is sufficiently small. We compute optimal $\alpha$ that minimizes the error with respect to $L^2$ norm and $H^1$ norm and compare reconstructed images.

  • The purpose of this study is to inquire the people's views on nursing for nurses, correct the image of nurse and take it as basis to be applied on nursing education examining the image of nursing on Television drama playing important role of mass media. 22 nurses of the characters in drama is applied to the analysis object of this study by selecting 6 dramas of Television ones the nurse play on the prime time from June 1 to August 31 in 1997. Contents analysis method was used in Data Analysis, 4 items was used after Coders previously modify and compensate it based on research documents of 1m Milim(1996) 2 Coders made the Coding the article on each person by them seeing the recorded film making the Coding Paper each items is written by the character. The average of reliability degree was 90% which measured the reliability degree by the mathod of Holsti. The statisic method of frequency, percentage was used SPSS Program in data processing The results were as follows. 1. Relative importance of 86.2% nurses in drama was depicted as extra characters 2. The affair attitude of nurses shown on drama was revealed as mechanical(84.7%), passive(45.5%), dependent(54.4%) unkind(68.2%). 3. The activity of nurses was classified with professional! simple affair. The professional affairs such as I.V., Blood Pressure Check, Rounding, Nursing Recording, Patient Education, Assist of Operation, Assistant meal of Patient, etc is mainly depicted and the screen of simple affair such as Receiving telephone, Carrying Tray or Dragging, Stretcher Car, Dressing Car and or Wheel Chair than professional affair. 4. The appearance feature of nurses was shown on thin physique(68.2%), common stature(68.2), dirty costume(45.4%), common appearance(81.9%), unnoble action(63.6%). The image of nurses is illuminated as the exterial scene of technical affair such as assisting the doctors and affair focused on accident and educational activity of nureses or extended role is nor depicted on Television drama. Therefore, the people regard the nurse as sexual object with good appearance than professional worker working professional nursing We want the following, epigraph based on above conclusion. 1. The continuous research is required on the image of nurse shown on various mass media. 2. The later research is required on appliction strategy of mass media for advancing the image of nurse. 3. The research to strengthen the objectivity by comparing analyzed data on drama & analyzing it is required 4. Through the deep study, the standard to show a concrete and professional work of nurses to scenario writers of TV drama is suggested by the association. 5. The monitoring about the mass media must be activated, not by some nurses, on a national scale and much study on the basis of this is needed.

  • 3D TV was been able to see in the market in early in this year. Tablet PC such as ipad by Apple and Galaxytab by Samsung were introduced recently. Those are possible by developing H/W and S/W of computer technology. The needs of interactive contents in many areas including education and entertainment area are increasing rapidly according to the various information devices are or will be in the market. Fore the more, GoogleTV and AppleTV are compete each other to dominate the world market in advance recently. CookTV tries to dominate in the domestic market by upgrading the current system. Diverse information devices are in the market means various size of displayers are able to be shown in our life. As TV is fused to computer, the displayer is substituted to TV's screen and the trend of TV is became bigger. The evolved TV is able to replace the computer by connecting to the network and people want to do interactions with contents by using the bidirectional communication. Therefore, it is expected to changing the human lifestyle. It is natural that contents for all members of family are needed, since TV's screen become bigger. It is required that the contents should guarantees the accessability of information to the all of family members and the easy interaction with contents. Our goal of experiment are to analyse the influence of interaction with contents as the size of images and to analyse a learning effect of contents quantitatively by applying a statistical method. Users interacted with contents without any difficulty when they met a same dimension and shape of objects as ame dimension and shape objects in their experiences or learning, was confirmed. And the learning effect were analysed and explained by applying the correlation.

  • 3차원 TV를 구현하기 위한 기술은 아날로그 TV, 디지털 TV, HDTV에 이어 차세대의 TVRL 기술로서 미국, 유럽, 일본 등에서 국가의 대형연구과제로 연구되고 있다. 이를 위한 중요기술로서 다 시점 입체영상구현을 위한 많은 연구들이 진행되고 있다. 다 시점 입체영상 구현을 위하여서는 많은 시점의 영상들이 필요한데 여기에는 카메라 설치, 데이터 전송 등에서 많은 문제가 존재한다. 이런 문제를 해결하기 위하여 본 논문에서는 적은 량의 정보로 양질의 디스플레이를 할 수 있는 한 기법으로 중간영상합성 기법을 제안한다. 본 연구의 결과를 평가하기 위해 기존 방법과 비교한 결과 좋은 효과를 보였다.

  • In this paper, the implementation of optical parallel boolean logic gates using two Liquid Crystal TVs is described. Based on theory of polarization modulation, two Liquid Crystal TVs are arranged in tandem and parallel to perform optical logic operations. Experimental results of binary image using two Liquid Crystal TVs are presented.
