A Study on the Analysis of Driver Behavior in Traffic Accidents Using Driving Video Recorder (차량용 영상기록장치를 활용한 교통사고의 운전자 행태 분석에 관한 연구)

  • The automobiles in Korea have approximately 60 years of history and this is relatively short compared to advanced countries. However, considering the traffic accident rate or severity related to automobiles, various efforts are required to reduce traffic accidents. Various problems caused by traffic accidents are not only related to individual damages but also have become social problems. In order to resolve this, it is important to analyze the cause of traffic accidents. This study aims to suggest methods to reduce traffic accidents by analyzing driving behavior, which is one of the reasons for a number of traffic accidents that were collected through traffic accident videos reported using DVRs (Driving Video Recorder) and were aired to the public via a SBS TV program for the past two years and four months. In particular, unlike other existing studies that aim at analyzing the causes of traffic accidents simply using data, this study constructed a database by analyzing every single DVR that stores the situation before and after the accident using relatively high-resolution video information to provide practical plans to reduce traffic accidents through statistical analysis.

A Study on the Educational Content of Floral Design on YouTube (유튜브에 나타난 화예 디자인 교육 콘텐츠 연구 -화훼장식기능사 교육 콘텐츠를 중심으로-)

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze the characteristics and problems of the content of flower design education videos on YouTube and to search for improvement direction. The subjects of analysis were 129 pieces of videos uploaded in the last one year including 'craftman floral design' as a search term. The result shows that contents covered were practical lectures, theory lectures, test related tips, job and character introduction, test work, educational guidance and publicity. The production format could be divided into studio lecture, classroom lecture, video feature, interview, Vlog, and television program. The hub-type programming strategy that periodically uploads the videos satisfying the target audiences' interests is mostly applied. The type of lecture covered 'practical skill test' got a good response from the users. Overall, content diversity, interaction between creators and users, and harmonious programming strategies are lacking. In order to improve this, it is necessary for emotional and expressive creators to pioneer differentiated fields and practice based on actual field. The introduction of interactive elements such as games and quizzes and the application of new media technologies such as VR and AR are worth trying. Three strategic types of 'hero', 'hub', and 'how to' should be applied complementary. As the demand for education content related to flower design is expected to expand in the future, it is required to develop content that can be used in various platforms, foster professional creators, and develop associated business models.

Middle School Home Economics Teachers' Performance Conditions of Self Supervision Related to the Home Economics (중학교 가정과 교사의 교과 관련 자기장학에 대한 수행 실태)

  • The method used in this descriptive study is the survey. The purpose of the study is to investigate performances of middle school home economics(HE) teachers regarding the HE subject. Respondents in this study were 177 HE teachers. Questionnaires from HE teachers were collected through e-mails. With the operation of the SPSS/Win (ver10.1) program, the analyses such as mean, standard deviation, frequencies, percents, t-test and ANOVA are done to see the relations between the related variables. The results of this study were as follows. First, the middle school HE teachers performed well above the standards in terms of planning, execution, and evaluation about self supervision related to HE. Second, the HE teachers collected materials for instruction by using literary (books) survey, Internet and mass media. They mainly focused on improving ways of "teaching and learning" and deepening the studies related to contents of textbooks. Third, the HE teachers used various ways to improve self supervision in the following order: mass media, literary (books) survey, participation in societies for researches, meetings, various training and field trip More than half of the middle school HE teachers proceeded to graduate schools, joined meetings for researches and had experiences of taking classes in private institutes. They also made a field trip once or twice a year and depended much on TV programs and education broadcasting programs as ways of improving their performances related to self supervision. While they were actively sharing information with their peer group, they made little effort at analyzing and evaluating their classes and utilizing expert group for their classes. The main problems as to self supervision were that only the half of the HE teachers responded that they were performing self supervision related to their classes well above the standards and the area where they heavily focused on has been "teaching and learning" and "the studies related to contents of textbooks". Therefore, to motivate incentives of the HE teachers for self supervision, meetings for researches should be activated and various training programs should be developed. In addition, government should give administrative and institutional support through a publication of books introducing detailed ways of self supervision and an establishment of centers and institutions for supporting self supervision.

The Knowledge and Attitude of Unmarried Young Men on AIDS (젊은 미혼 남성에서의 에이즈에 대한 지식과 태도)

  • Purpose : Since the acquired immune deficiency syndrome (AIDS) was first recognized in the United States in the summer of 1981, the number of these patients has been increasing in the world. But do not find out a cure and a vaccine for ARS (5). And so, the best treatment for AIDS is the prevention. People can find out accurate knowledge about AIDS, and they can prevent themselves from AIDS approximately 100%. In this study, we investigate with AIDS knowledge and attitudes in unmarried young men (<24 age) and suggest accurate preventive education for AIDS and good sexual behaviors. Methods : Un-married young soldiers and college students who were not diagnosed as AIDS until June 30, 2000 were included in the study. The study included a total of 923 men. A self evaluation questionnaire, included questions on 36 items(the part of demographic data - 9; the part of knowledge - 20; the part of attitudes - 8), was drawn up by three physicians. The demographic data, AIDS knowledge and attitudes were analyzed by chi-square analysis, and the total score of AIDS knowledge - comparison according to demographic factors and attitudewere analyzed by one-way ANOVA test. Results : In demographic characteristics, as for the first recognized time of AIDS, most of men knew it when they were in their middle school, as for sources of information on AIDS, most of them knew it through the TV-media, and as for the educational need about AIDS, most of them agreed with it. In AIDS knowledge, mean scores were $14.0{\pm}1.8$ (70.3%). Items of the misconceptions concerning AIDS, reported as less than 50% correct answers, were 6 among 20 items (30%). In AIDS attitudes, as for the item about that if I will be an AIDS patient, I will have an AIDS treatment, it showed that the number of men agreed with 759 (82.2%), and as for the item about that I will help for AIDS patient even though I don't know him, it showed that the number of them agreed with 412 (45.8%). In correlation of AIDS knowledge and demographic factors, the mean scores of knowledge of men with higher than college degree were higher than them of others. The mean scores of knowledge of men with total income of family with more than US$1667 were higher than them of others. The mean scores of knowledge of men with sources of information on AIDS through the TV-media were higher than them of others. And the mean scores of knowledge of men with past medical history of STD(sexually transmitted disease) were higher than them of others. Conclusions : The higher the knowledge he has, the lower the possibility of risk and the more positive the attitude he has. And then we think that the education program for AIDS will be included as a regular part of the curriculum in high school, and young men must be effectively educated by it.

The Cyber world of the Matrix as a typical type of 'Simulacre' (시뮬라크르의 전형(典型)으로서 매트릭스(Matrix)의 가상 세계)

  • Matrix, produced by Larry & Andy Wachowski, was relatively precisely dealt with the cyber world. After the movie was released, it had a mania for the movie and was adopted into a various forms of cultural products. It was remade not only into the parodies of the other movies and TV programs, but also the clothes and miscellaneous items of the movie were reincarnated as an unique cultural trend. The cause of the popularity is the fresh storyline as well as the sophisticated visual effects and good-looking actors. The agony of the protagonist was connected with the people outside the movie who are yearning for the ideal world. He was confused at the fact that his circumstances which were believed as the real world were not tortally true, complicated between the sensually phisical truth and the spiritual truth and had an will for the freedom that would ransack the truth and save the other people from the fictitious world. Consequently, the movie has got sympathies with many audiences suggesting the situation that has no a firm belief of the reality, the difference between the real and the cyber world is meaningless and the faked images of the high-technology are overturned This thesis tries to study the present that the real images are excessly duplicated and consumed, related to the Jean Baudrillard's theory, 'Hyperreel'. Replaced the real objects by a technical programming in the Matrix world, there happens the image-violence that the true nature is slaughterred by images. In the world where the reproducts are more actual than the reality and pretends to be real, only semiotics are consumed and produced. That is to say, the tortally programmed images has no references and aims, therefore should be produced in an 'impediment-strategy' like a faked crisis. That is the step of 'Simulation' that artificially reincarnates the real. Based upon the Baudrillard's theory, 'Simulacre', this study tries to research today's post-modern situation that the boundary of the real world and the faked copy is vague and vanishing, through the analysis of the cyber world of the movie 'Matrix'.
