Assessments of FLECHT SEASET Unblocked Forced Reflood Tests Using RELAP5/MOD3 (RELAP5/MOD3 코드를 이용한 FLECHT SEASET의 강제 재관수 실험에 대한 평가)

  • FLECHT SEASET unblocked forced reflood tests are assessed using Apollo version of RELAP5/MOD3 5M5. The main purpose of the study is to examine the code predictability under forced reflood conditions having different initial power levels and flooding rates. Among various test matrices, the assessment calculations are performed for the test numbers 31701 31302, 31203, 31805, 34524, 31021, 34006 and 35807 These have been selected because they have similar initial conditions but different initial peak rod powers or flooding rates. In addition, various sensitivity calculations are performed for test number 31203 on the improved models of RELAP5/MOD3. Those are for the effect of Counter Current Flow Limit (CCFL) option at the outlet junction of the test section, for the effect of grid modelling on the interfacial drag calculations as well as on the heat structure calculations, and for the effect of nodalization and the time step size. The results of sensitivity studies show that the improved models of RELAP5/MOD3 enhance the code predictability. The assessment results show that the RELAP5/MOD3 has a tendency to underpredict the turn around temperature and the turn around time. But RELAP5/MOD3 silghtly overpredicts the turn around temperature for high flooding rate. The results also show that the calculated quenching by RELAP5/MOD3 is delayed with the increase of the rod power or the decrease of the flooding rate.

Design and Implementation of Automatic Fan On/Off for Energy Saving (에너지 절감을 위한 선풍기 자동 ON/OFF 기능의 설계 및 구현)

  • Recently, global warming and tropical nights have caused the use of electric fans to explode. Under these circumstances, running the fan for long periods of time is not only a risk of explosion due to overloading the power but also a small amount of electricity and environmental pollution. Therefore, the research was conducted to develop devices that automatically turn fans on and off according to room temperature, reducing the risk of explosion as well as saving energy. This study suggested that electric fans turn on and off automatically and display temperature in mobile applications. The ability to turn on and off allows the fan to turn on itself if the indoor temperature rises above a certain level. Conversely, if the indoor temperature drops below a certain level, the fan should be turned off. Second, the temperature display function checks indoor temperature through mobile applications. The automatic on/off capabilities proposed in this study could contribute to reducing the risk of explosion and saving energy. However, if the indoor temperature rises above a certain temperature even though there is no one inside, the fan can be turned on. The expectation from this study is that the ability of fans to operate and turn off at appropriate temperatures can reduce the risk of explosion, electrical charges, and environmental pollution.

Development of a Modified Vine Building Shortest Path Algorithm for ATIS (ATIS를 위한 수정형 덩굴망 최단경로 탐색 알고리즘의 개발)

  • 건설된 도로를 효율적으로 이용하고, 통행자의 편리성을 향상시키기 위해 첨단 여행자 정보체계(ATIS)를 활용할 수 있다. ATIS 체계하에서 노선정보를 통행자에게 제공하기 위해서는 교차로에서의 회전으로 인한 지체를 정확하게 반영할 수 있는 효율적인 최단경로 알고리즘이 필요하다. 하지만 기존의 최단경로탐색 알고리즘은 좌회전 금지, U-turn, P-turn 등 교차로에서의 회전으로 인한 지체를 정확히 반영 못한다는 단점을 갖고 있다. 그러므로 본 논문에서는 이러한 단점을 극복하기 위해 수정형 덩굴망 알고리즘을 재발하였다. 수정형 덩굴망 알고리즘은 노드표지(node labelling) 방법에 있어서는 기존의 덩굴망 알고리즘의 노드표지 방법과 개념적으로 동일하여 이용상의 편리성을 갖도록 하였으며, 최단경로 탐색기능에 있어서는 링크탐색알고리즘(혹은 링크표지기법)이 갖고 있는 장잠을 다 반영할 수 있는 기법으로 개발하였다. 수정형 덩굴망 알고리즘은 노드표지에 있어 특정 노드로 유입하는 방향에 따라 노드표지를 별도로 기록하였다. 따라서 교차로에서의 좌회전, 우회전 및 직진은 물론 U-turn의 경우에도 추가적인 절차 없이 현실적인 최단 경로를 탐색할 수 있도록 하였다. 또한 본 논문은 최단경로의 역추적 방법을 개선하여 좌회전 금지, U-turn, P-turn 및 기타 회전에 의한 지체등을 각 교차로마다 정확히 반영함으로써 비합리적인 최단경로가 추적되는 것을 근본적으로 차단하도록 하였다. 따라서 본 연구에서 개발한 수정형 덩굴망 최단경로탐색 알고리즘은 교차로에서의 회전지체 및 회전금지를 현실적으로 잘 반영함으로써 정확한 노선정보를 요구하는 ATIS체계를 분석하는데 유용하게 활용될 수 있는 기법이다.장자료를 통해 구하기란 현실적으로 불가능하므로, 본 연구에서는 이러한 제약점을 극복할 수 있는 근사적인 지체시간을 계산하는 방법을 제시한 점에서 의미를 갖을 수 있다.수들은 직업의 선택이나 소득을 예측하기 위한 요소들로 포함될 수 없었다. 따라서 후속연구에서는 이를 보완해야 할 것이며, 최근 들어 우리 나라에서도 재택근무에 대한 관심이 대두되고 있으나 아직 개념정의나 그 중요성과 가치, 그리고 실태 파악과 같은 연구가 활발히 이루어지지 못하고 있으므로 이에 대한 심층적인 연구가 행해져야 할 것이다.d similar flower proceeding dates in all branches. but "Daepung" showed similar flower proceeding dates in all branches.est in HB. An Algorithm for Heavy Duty Truck Priority on Left-turn to Reduce Greenhouse Gas Emissions (온실가스 감축을 위한 대형 화물차 좌회전 우선신호 알고리즘 개발)

  • This study aims to develop a truck priority on left-turn algorithm that can reduce greenhouse gas emissions by reducing heavy duty truck's stops at signalized intersection. The signal priority is granted for a left-turn phase, because heavy duty trucks can deteriorate left-turn traffic flow due to the low acceleration or deceleration rate and large turn radius. Truck priority allows to provide the stable speed control for heavy duty truck, and reduces emissions at the signal intersection. Also, two signal recovery strategies are compared for various traffic conditions. This study analyzes the effectiveness of truck priority such as greenhouse gas emissions and fuel consumption reduction, and total travel time saving using the PARAMICS and Comprehensive Modal Emissions Model (CMEM). The results show that signal priority for heavy duty trucks has an effect on reducing greenhouse gas emissions and fuel consumptions at non-peak hour. Also, it shows decreasing total travel time due to reducing truck stops.

Relationship Between Conversation Skills, Working Memory and Naming Ability in Aging Adults (노인의 대화기능과 작업기억력 및 이름대기 능력 간의 관련성 연구)

  • For knowing the effects of aging on conversational skills in daily communication, this paper studied for the conversational turn-taking skills, working memory and naming ability on healthy elderly adults over 65 ages. 85 elderly adults participated in this study, which divided into four groups by ages. Speech samples were collected in natural conversation. Memorization of numbers, mental calculation, repetition of words were administered for working memory test. K-BNT was used for the naming ability. One-way ANOVA analysis was used for the comparison of conversational turn-taking skills among four groups. We analyzed the correlation between conversational skills, working memory and naming ability. The results were as follows: first, there were a significant difference in conversational turn-taking skills by age, but not by gender. There was a significant difference in 'Turn-Taking Frequency' and 'Total Utterance Frequency' among four groups. The same results were shown in the scores of females within three groups(exclude groups over 85D)(p<.01). Second, there was a significant correlation between 'rates of maintenance' and 'naming ability'. In addition, it was found that the naming test predicted 'rates of maintenance' skills. The results of this study suggest that word-retrieval ability will be helpful to enhance functional communication skills in aging old adults.

Distribution of Magnetic Field Depending on the Current in the μ-turn Coil to Capture Red Blood Cells (적혈구 포획용 미크론 크기 코일에 흐르는 전류의 크기에 따른 자기장 분포 특성)

  • The ${\mu}$-turn coil having a width of ${\mu}m$ on the GMR-SV (giant magnetoresistance-spin valve) device based on the antiferromagnetic IrMn layer was fabricated by using the optical lithography process. In the case of GMR-SV film and GMR-SV device, the magnetoresistance ratios and the magnetic sensitivities are 4.4%, 2.0%/Oe and 1.6 %, 0.1%/Oe, respectively. In the y-z plane the distribution of magnetic field of GMR-SV device and $10{\mu}$-turns coil which put under the several magnetic bead(MB)s with a diameter of $1{\mu}m$ attached to RBC (red blood cell) was analyzed by the computer simulation using the finite element method. When the AC currents of 20 kHz from 0.1 mA to 10.0 mA flow to the 10 turns ${\mu}$-coil, the magnetic field at the position of $z=0{\mu}m$ at the center of coil was calculated from $30.1{\mu}T$ to $3060{\mu}T$ in proportion to the current. The magnetic field at the position of $z=10{\mu}m$ was decreased to one-sixth of that of $z=0{\mu}m$. It was confirmed that the $10{\mu}$-turn coil having enough magnitude of magnetic field for the capture of RBC is possible to use as a biosensor for the detection of magnetic beads attached to RBC.

Effectiveness Analysis of Installation of Turbo Roundabouts (터보형 회전교차로 설치 효과분석)

  • This study deals with Turbo-Roundabout of Special-Roundabouts. Recently, many rotary intersections are being constructed in Korea, but the effect of the rotary intersection depends on the total entrance traffic volume and the area of the paper. The purpose of this study is to analyze the operation and accident reduction effect of turning traffic signal intersection with small traffic volume into turbo - type turning intersection. The main results are as follows. First, when the traffic volume of the main road is high, the traffic volume of the subway is less than 10 ~ 15%, or when the left turn ratio is less than 30%, it is improved when switching to the turbo type turn intersection instead of the first turn type and second turn type turn intersection Was analyzed. Second, it is considered that turbo type rotary intersection is more effective than first - type rotary intersection, and it is more effective in increasing road capacity because the area of paper is smaller than that of second - order rotary intersection. Third, the number of traffic accidents decreased by 45.9% and the number of injured persons decreased by 76.5% after the conversion of the turnover type turnover to turbo type. 100%), the number of car accidents was 0.3, and the number of casualties was 0 (100%). Finally, the positive evaluation of the user satisfaction survey showed that the improvement in safety, accessibility, and convenience was improved by 60.4%, which was improved by 16.4% to 76.8% after the conversion to the turbo type turnover.

Development and Experimental Performance Evaluation of Steel Composite Girder by Turn Over Process (단면회전방법을 적용한 강합성 소수주거더 개발 및 실험적 성능 평가)

  • In Korea, more than 90% of the total number of steel bridges built for 40~70 m span length is a steel box-girder bridge type. A steel box-girder bridge is suitable for long span or curved bridges with outstanding flexural and torsional rigidity as well as good constructability and safety. However, a steel box-girder bridge is uneconomical, requiring many secondary members and workmanship such as stiffeners and ribs requiring welding attachments to flanges or webs. Therefore, in US and Japan, a plate girder bridge, which is relatively cheap and easy to construct is generally used. One type of the plate girder bridge is the two- or three-main girder plate bridge, which is a composite plate girder bridge that minimizes the number of required main girders by increasing the distance between the adjacent girders. Also, for the simplification of girder section, the stiffener which requires attachment to the web is not required. The two-main steel girder plate bridge is a representative type of plate girder bridges, which is suitable for bridges with 10 m effective width and has been developed in the early 1960s in France. To ensure greater safety of two- or three-main girder plate bridges, a larger steel section is used in the bridge domestically than in Europe or Japan. Also, the total number of two- or three-main girder plate bridge constructed in Korea is significantly less than the steel box girder bridge due to a lack of designers' familiarity with more complex design detailing of the bridge compare to that of a steel box girder bridge design. In this study, a new construction method called Turn Over method is proposed to minimize the steel section size used in a two- or three-main girder plate bridge by applying prestressing force to the member using confining concrete section's weight to reduce construction cost. Also, a full scale 20 m Turn Over girder specimen and a Turn Over girder bridge specimen were tested to evaluate constructability and structural safety of the members constructed using Turn Over process.
