From the reciprocal connection by this Internet network researchs about the efficiency improvement of the whole system is accomplished with the method which reduces delays in message transmission. From here, we will do a comparative study between the user data program protocol (UDP) and the zero copy which does not use the buffer cache to fine out the valid method to improve the efficiency. In this thesis, I will change the message copy from execution process of the buffer cache of the TCP/IP on Unix OS with process on Linux OS. The object of conversion is to show you that the zero copy which doesn't use the buffer cache from transfer control class improves the communication efficiency.
In this paper, the microcontroller TCP/IP NIE(Network Interface Equipment) which is exclusive of an operating system is implemented and the applied example to a step motor motion controller is then explained. The microcontroller TCP/IP NIE supplies a DHCP(Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol) as well as basic TCP/IP network protocols. So, the automatic setting up of the Dynamic If(Internet Protocol) is possible. To implement a control of a system with an internet, the microcontroller TCP/IP NIE is applied to a step motor motion controller and a step motor is then controlled with a Microsoft Windows-based Telnet application program.
This paper suggest remote control technic using TCP/IP protocol network after UART serial communication implemented through RS-232 cable to ethernet module. This is multidisplinary signal technique which is PC signal is converted to internet communication signal. Ethernet module is WIZ1000SR. This is gate module which convert RS-232 protocol to TCP/IP protocol. This module convert serial data transmitted serial device to TCP/IP type data, in contrast TCP/IP data received through network converted to serial data transmitted to serial device. This paper propose that the lower subnet internet layer UDP module make the higher speed in control board than TCP/IP signal.
Stream Control Transmission Protocol(SCTP) is a new transport protocol that is known to provide improved performance than Transmission Control Protocol(TCP) in multi-homing environment that is having two and more IP addresses. But currently single-homed computer is used primarily that is having one IP address. To identify whether mean transfer time for SCTP is faster that for TCP in single-homed environment considering packet loss, we make up real testbed regulating the bandwidth, delay time and packet loss rate on router and observe the transfer time. We write server and client applications to measure SCTP and TCP mean transfer time by C language. Analysis of these experimental results from the testbed implementation shows that mean transfer time of SCTP is not better than performance of TCP in single homed environment exceptional case. Main reasons of performance are that SCTP compared to TCP stops transmitting data by timeout and data transmission is often delayed when SACK congestion happens. The result of study shows that elaborate performance tuning is required in developing a new SCTP module or using a implemented SCTP module.
When a Mobile IP handoff occurs, the packets in flight can be lost because they are tunneled based on out-of-date location information. In this parer, we propose an enhanced handoff protocol that achieves no packet loss during Mobile IP handoff over a wireless LAN. Our handoff protocol predicts the next foreign agent that a mobile host is to visit by using: the information from the data link layer of wireless LAN. After that, when a Mobile IP handoff occult, the current foreign agent forwards the packets destined to a mobile host to the predicted foreign agent which buffers them. This eliminates packet loss and reduces the packet forwarding delay. Our handoff protocol is simulated using the Network Simulator-2 (ns-2) and shows the substantial performance enhancement of TCP with much less overhead up to 6.2 times compared to standard Mobile IP.

In this paper, a design of RISC-based transmission wrapper processor for TCP/IP protocol stack is described. The processor consists of input and output buffer memory with dual bank structure, 32-bit RISC microprocessor core, DMA unit with on-the-fly checksum capability, and memory module. To handle the various modes of TCP/IP protocol, hardware-software codesign approach based on RISC processor is used rather than the conventional state machine design. To eliminate large delay time due to sequential executions of data transfer and checksum operation, DMA module which can execute the checksum operation along with data transfer operation is adopted. The designed processor exclusive of variable-size input/output buffer consists of about 23,700 gates and its maximum operating frequency is about 167MHz under 0.35${\mu}m$ CMOS technology.

Requirements for device networks differ greatly from those of data(business) networks. Consequently, any control network technology which uses a fieldbus protocol is, in general, different from IP network protocol TCP/IP. One needs to integrate fieldbus protocol and TCP/IP to realize distributed control over IP network or internet. This paper suggests a basic concept that can be applied to distributed control over IP network or internet. Specifically, LonWorks technology that uses LonTalk protocol is reviewed as device network. LonWorks technology provides networked intelligent I/O and controllers which make it a powerful, expandable solution. It is also addressed that many hardwired PLCs can be replaced by LonWorks devices. Connecting these remote LonWorks networks to the Internet can provide a powerful, integrated, distributed control system.
While Ethernet and TCP/IP are the most widely used protocol, for Real-time system, it is not applicable because it doesn't guarantee the deterministic transmission time. Furthermore, the TCP acknowledgement scheme and sliding window algorithm enforce to collide packets. Although various Collision-Free CSMA protocol was presented, it is very difficult to implement in well known OS(UNIX, WilidowsNT) because we have to modify network kernel. This paper presents another transmission protocol based on modified UDP. The colliding probability can be minimized by avoiding successive packet transmission and decreasing competition duration. The proposed algorithm can be used for the soft real-time industrial automation network.

We describe the MiniWeb[7] TCP/IP stack (mIP), which is an extremely small implementation of the TCP/IP protocol suite running 8 or 32-bit micro controllers intended for embedded control systems, and satisfying the subset of RFC1122 requirements needed for hostto-host interoperability over different platforms. Our TCP/IP implementation does sacrifice some of TCP's mechanisms such as fragmentation, urgent data, retransmission, or congestion control. Our implementation is applicable to web based controllers. The network protocols are tested in operational networks using CommView and Dummynet where the various operational parameters such as bandwidth, delay, and queue sizes can be set and controlled.

Recently, the use of TCP/IP protocols over wireless LANs poses significant problems. In this paper, we have analyzed transmission control protocol (TCP) packet transmission time for mobile IP over wireless local area networks (LANs) using a proposed a new random backoff scheme. We call it as a proxy backoff scheme. It is considered the transmission time of TCP packet on the orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) in additive white gaussian noise (AWGN) channel. From the results, a proposed proxy backoff scheme produces a better performance than an original random backoff in mobile IP over wireless LANs environment. Also, in OFDM/quadrature phase shift keying (QPSK) medium access control (MAC), we have obtained that the transmission time in wireless channel decreases as the TCP packet size increases.
