  • The large scale of data and operating systems in the trading environment in the cloud. However, technology is not an easy trading system of cloud-based data interoperability. Partially meets the data transfer rate and also the timeliness of the best trading system on the difficulties. Thus various techniques have been introduced for improving the throughput and low latency minimization problem. But the reality is, and the limits of speed improvements like Socket Direct Protocol, Offload Engine with TCP/IP is the hardware, the introduction effect is also low. In this paper, the proposed trading of the cloud XMDR-DAI based stock system. The proposed Safe Proper Time Method for optimal transmission speed and reliability.

A Performance Improvement of Linux TCP/IP Stack based on Flow-Level Parallelism in a Multi-Core System (멀티코어 시스템에서 흐름 수준 병렬처리에 기반한 리눅스 TCP/IP 스택의 성능 개선)

  • With increasing multicore system, much effort has been put on the performance improvement of its application. Because multicore system has multiple processing devices in one system, its processing power increases compared to the single core system. However in many cases the advantages of multicore can not be exploited fully because the existing software and hardware were designed to be suitable for single core. When the existing software runs on multicore, its performance improvement is limited by the bottleneck of sharing resources and the inefficient use of cache memory on multicore. Therefore, according as the number of core increases, it doesn't show performance improvement and shows performance drop in the worst case. In this paper we propose a method of performance improvement of multicore system by applying Flow-Level Parallelism to the existing TCP/IP network application and operating system. The proposed method sets up the execution environment so that each core unit operates independently as much as possible in network application, TCP/IP stack on operating system, device driver, and network interface. Moreover it distributes network traffics to each core unit through L2 switch. The proposed method allows to minimize the sharing of application data, data structure, socket, device driver, and network interface between each core. Also it allows to minimize the competition among cores to take resources and increase the hit ratio of cache. We implemented the proposed methods with 8 core system and performed experiment. Experimental results show that network access speed and bandwidth increase linearly according to the number of core.

  • In this paper, we implemented an wireless data logger system for checking gas volume data using microcontroller Atmega128. The system used wireless communication between master and slave, and operated by socket communication under TCP/IP protocol between server and client. And monitoring interface program was implemented as a software adoptable for GUI environment using Visual C++. The system is constructed server program and client program in order to display gas volume data at a real time, and is expensive, tiny, and easy in implementation. It allows the system to be useful as a pilot project for microcontroller experiment.

  • 네트워크 사용자의 급속한 증가로 네트워크 내의 부하를 감당하기에는 많은 어려움을 가져왔다. 이와 같은 이유로 기존의 TCP/IP에서 세션을 통하여 노드들 간의 통신을 연결하는 방식에서 현재는 하나의 채널을 통해 고속의 I/O가 가능하도록 하는 기술이 많이 연구되고 있다. 그 대표적인 것으로 인피니밴드가 있다. 인피니밴드는 프로세싱 노드와 입출력 장치 사이의 통신, 프로세스간 통신에 대한 산업 표준이 되고 있고 프로세싱 노드와 입출력 장치를 연결하기 위해 스위치 기반의 상호 연결은 전통적인 버스 입출력을 대체하는 새로운 입출력 방식이 사용된다. 또한 인피니밴드에서는 현재 많은 이슈가 되고 있는 RDMA 방식을 이용해 원격지 서버들 간에 직접 메모리 접근 방식을 통해 CPU와 OS의 로드를 최소화하고 있다. 본 논문에서는 RDMA를 적용한 새로운 채널 기반 네트웍의 프로토콜인 SDP(Socket Direct Protocol)를 구현하여 SDP_STREAM의 패킷 처리량에 대한 성능을 평가한다. 그리고 이에 대한 성능 평가를 위해서 Netperf 툴을 이용했다. 특히 Zero-Copy방식을 사용하지 않는 일반적인 소켓 API을 이용한 TCP_STREAM과 Zero-Copy방식을 이용한 SDP_STREAM의 패킷 처리량을 비교했으며 성능 평가 결과는 기존의 TCP_STREAM 패킷 처리량에 비해 약 3배 이상 향상된 결과를 나타냈다.

Optimization of a Composite Laminated Structure by Network-Based Genetic Algorithm

  • Genetic alsorithm (GA) , compared to the gradient-based optimization, has advantages of convergence to a global optimized solution. The genetic algorithm requires so many number of analyses that may cause high computational cost for genetic search. This paper proposes a personal computer network programming based on TCP/IP protocol and client-server model using socket, to improve processing speed of the genetic algorithm for optimization of composite laminated structures. By distributed processing for the generated population, improvement in processing speed has been obtained. Consequently, usage of network-based genetic algorithm with the faster network communication speed will be a very valuable tool for the discrete optimization of large scale and complex structures requiring high computational cost.

  • 본 논문에서는 미지의 환경에서 인터넷 기반에 대한 이동로봇의 자율 주행이 가능하도록 비젼시스템과 퍼지규칙을 이용한 경로 설정 및 장애물 회피를 위한 알고리즘을 소개 하고자 한다. 한편 원격지에서도 로봇의 움직임을 파악할 수 있도록 인터넷을 통한 원격운용 기능을 추가함으로써 로봇의 효율적인 제어가 가능하도록 하였다. 원격지에서 제어하고자 할 때 대부분이 인터넷이나 무선을 이용한 원격제어 또는 실시간 모니터링을 통해 제어하여 그 상황을 시뮬레이션으로 구현하고 있다. 현재 이동로봇 제어를 할 때 많이 사용되는 방법은 IEEE 802.11b를 기반으로 한 wireless LAN Socket, TCP/IP, RF, 블루투스 통신등이 있다. 이러한 방식중 본 논문에서는 Internet 방식 중에 TCP/IP 프로토콜을 사용하였다. 전체 시스템은 이동로봇과 서버 그리고 클라이언트로 구성되며 이동 로봇은 인터넷을 통해서 로봇을 제어하거나 필요에 따라서는 로봇이 직접 제어권을 가지고 자율주행이 가능하도록 설계되었다. 본 논문에서는 퍼지규칙을 이용하여 경로 계획 및 장애물 회피를 위한 알고리즘을 생성하였으며, 실험을 통한 그 효율성을 검증하였다. 또한 실제 이동 로봇을 제작하여 실험한 결과에서도 제안된 알고리즘이 우수한 성능을 발휘함을 확인할 수 있었다.

  • Point of Production/Manufacturing Execution Systems are an essential component of operations in today's competitive business environments, which require greater production efficiency and effectiveness. POP/MES focuses on the valuing-adding processes, helping to reduce manufacturing cycle time, improve product quality, reduce WIP, reduce or eliminate paperwork between shifts, reduce lead time and empowering plant operations staff. In this paper, we implement POP/MES to manage real-time plant floor data which is gathered by I/O server into database management system. I/O server is a software allows data exchange between factory real-time database and several hardware devices such as PLC, DCS, robot and sensor through ethernet TCP/IP protocol.

  • This paper proposes an extension scheme of the well-known Berkeley Socket Interface for supporting QoS-provided multipeer multimedia communications. The current BSD Socket Interface has been TCP/IP-centric historically and the protocol suite was developed for the peer-to-peer best effort data communications. In order to support multiparty multimedia applications, such key functions as group management, QoS control, and reliable multicast transport should be exploited in the current simple unicast communication architecture and the well-known interface should be extended to cover the functions. This paper proposes a few new API functions and some changes in the current APIs.

  • The educational computer game service, due to its entertainment role, is a very attractive tool for students to raise their interests in learning. Especially mathematics, the most difficult subject for many students, is one of the typical subjects in which the educational computer game service can be efficiently applied. Most of the previous game services is for single or two learners. And learner only have to simply submit a solution for the proposed math expression in the game. In this paper a multi-player game service based on TCP/IP socket programming technique is designed and implemented to join in the game for multiple learners. In addition, we design a game rule to improve learners' number sense by letting them arrange various ways to solve the problem. Finally, using the requirements of educational game service, we evaluate the proposed game service and its usability.

  • Under the worldwide booming internet environment, there has been increasing demand for various multimedia services. Especially the demand for effective video services has been rapidly increased. In this paper, we describe the implementation of video service system for internet use based on H/263 video compression technique and UDP socket on the TCP/IP environment. In addition, by using the plug-in-play technique, the implemented system improved user interface for correct retrieval and easy usage.
