A Study on the Development of Hydroelastic Experimental Techniques of Very Large Box-shaped Floating Structures with Shallow Draft (천흘수 부유식 해양 구조물의 유탄성 모형시험 기법 개발에 관한 연구)

  • In this paper hydroelastic experimental techniques of very large floating offshore structures are suggested based on the model test carried out in the UOU Ocean Engineering Wide Tank. The prototype is a box-shaped floating structure with length of 300m, breadth of 60m, depth of 2m and draft of 0.5m and longitudinal bending rigidity as $4.87{\times}10^{10}kgm^2$. The scale ratio is 1/42.857. The model is realized by aluminum square pipes with the section dimension of $20mm{\times}20mm$. The numbers of longitudinal and transverse pipes are 7 and 35 respectively. Heave motions at selected points are measured with potentiometers and bending moments with strain gages.

  • 저수지 유입량은 효율적 저수지 운영을 위해 중요한 요소로, 이는 하류 하천 등과 복합적으로 연계되기에 통합적 수자원 관리를 위해서 정확한 추정이 중요하다. 국내의 일부 저수지에서는 상류에서 유입되는 유량을 측정하고 있으나, 모든 저수지에 대해 측정하기에는 현실적 한계가 있다. 한편, 한국농어촌공사에서는 유효저수량 10만톤 이상 저수지에 대해 수위 계측기를 설치하여 수위자료를 관측하고 있으며, 이는 수위-내용적 곡선을 통해 저수량으로 변환이 가능하다. 저수량 자료가 확보되면 물수지식 기반으로 간접적으로 유입량의 추정이 가능하나, 수위가 상승하는 구간에 대해서만 적용이 가능하기에 연속적인 자료의 확보에 한계가 있다. 이 경우 불연속 유량자료를 대상으로 수문모형의 매개변수를 최적화하여 장기간 연속자료로 변환하는 것이 한 방안이 될 수 있다. 본 연구에서는 저수지 수위 기반으로 추정된 간헐적 유입량 자료를 기반으로 수문모형의 매개 변수를 최적화하여 장기유량으로 변환하고자 한다. 수문 모형과 매개변수 최적화 기법은 각각 Tank 모형과 SCE (Shuffled Complex Evolution) 기법을 이용하였다. 매개변수 최적화를 위한 목적함수는 고유량 저유량 총량 분산 관련 지표에 가중치를 부여한 다중 목적함수로 설정하였으며, 이를 통해 도출된 다양한 매개변수 후보군 중 고유량 저유량 총량 유황곡선의 유사정도가 전반적으로 일치하는 매개변수 군을 선택하였다. 본 연구 결과는 미계측 저수지 유입량을 추정할 수 있음으로써 저수지의 효율적인 물관리와 용수관리 의사결정에 활용할 수 있을 것으로 사료된다.

  • 지하수 흐름 모의를 위한 2차원 수조모형 실내 실험은 현장에서 발생하는 복잡성을 배재하는 동시에 간편함과 재현가능성을 제시하는 실험 방식이다. 지하수 흐름 모형은 수치모델을 구현하여 계산할 때 검증용 실험 결과를 얻는 목적으로 운용할 수 있으며 또한 테스트베드 규모의 실증 실험을 대신할 용도로 실증부지의 환경을 축소 모의하고자 하는 용도에도 사용할 수 있다. 본 연구는 모형의 길이에 비해 두께가 상대적으로 얇아 지하수 2차원을 모의할 수 있는 실내실험 방식의 표준을 제안한다. 연구 방법에서 인공 매질 및 모래와 같이 수조모형의 흐름 영역을 채우는 매질의 수리전도도 값을 간편하고 신속하게 계산하는 방식을 Dupuit 가정을 바탕으로 구현하였다. 모의하고자 하는 실증 부지와 수조 모형 사이에는 실험 규모의 축소와 확대의 근거를 이론적으로 뒷받침하는 상사성 (similarity)이 존재하여야 한다. 본 연구에서는 상사성을 구현하는데 사용할 수 있는 무차원 변수를 수리지질학적 변수의 조합으로 표현하고자 하였다. 마지막으로 무차원화 변수를 수조 모형에 대입하여 실증부지를 모의하고 결과를 표출하는 방식을 제안하였다.

  • This paper describes the applications of the SCS TR-20 hydrologic model for simula- tion of hourly inflow rates from sixty-six ungaged tributaries and subareas between the Naju station and the estuarin dam at the Yongsan River Basin. The model was tested for the ungaged conditions with fifteen storm events at Naju station. Hourly simulated run- off data were compared with the observed, and the results showed less correlationships between the two data than those from TANK model. The coefficients of correlation ranged from 0.74 to 0.87. The curve numbers and time of concentration were defined from topographic dta for each of sixty-six tributaries for the estuarine dam and used for TR-20 applications. The results were within an acceptable range of errors in simulating the inflow fluctuations for the flood forecasting at the estuarine dam.

  • Landing ship tank with well dock has the important mission transferring troops or landing equipments from sea to shore. Such transfers are usually carried out using landing crafts, which are loaded or unloaded in flooded well dock. In this situation, as relative motions are occur between well dock and landing craft, safety verifications are demanded. In this paper, seakeeping and safety performances are investigated through model test. First of all, well dock dimensions are reviewed and model tests are performed with sea state 3&4 in 180degree wave direction. Model tests are conducted for three relative positions and seakeeping performances are investigated each position.

  • This study is aimed at the development of a runoff forecasting model to solve the uncertainties occurring in the process of rainfall-runoff modeling and improve the modeling accuracy of the stream runoff forecasting, The study area is the downstream of Naeseung-chun. Therefore, time-dependent data was obtained from the Wolpo water level gauging station. 11 and 2 out of total 13 flood events were selected for the training and testing set of model. The model performance was improved as the measuring time interval$(T_m)$ was smaller than the sampling time interval$(T_s)$. The Neuro-Fuzzy(NF) and TANK models can give more accurate runoff forecasts up to 4 hours ahead than the Feed Forward Multilayer Neural Network(FFNN) model in standard above the Determination coefficient$(R^2)$ 0.7.

  • A scale model net test of the operation of a small two-boat midwater trawl net was performed in the circulating water tank at Pusan Fisheries College. The 1/32 scale model net was constructed after the modelling law of M. Tauti. This type of net is used in Europe for catching sprat like Hering. The net used was 1/32 the actual size. This scale was chosen with consideration for the water tank size. In this experiment, the transfomation of the net shape was observed especially inregard to variations in the height and breadth of the net mouth. These dimensions were varied by changing the breadth of the towing line and the connenting spread.

  • While the need for analyzing and interpreting agricultural logistics are becoming more and more prominent with the rapid changes within the agricultural environment, previously mathematical models have been proved to have its limitations due to the unpredictable traits of agriculture itself and finding the adequate simulation model is not easy. Therefore, in this research, the tank model that has been used to analyze the rainfall-runoff in watersheds, was used to develop a logistics model for estimating shipment by agricultural production. The model was certified by wholesale market data of garlic.

  • Base-isolated liquid storage tanks under seismic loading were tested by the Pseudo-dynamic test method. Substructuring technique in which a mixed integration method was adopted and the liquid tanks were simply modeled as a discrete system. This study gave experimental verification on the advantage of mounting the liquid tanks on base isolators in order to reduce the hydrodynamic forces on the tank wall.

  • In this study daily flow data is constructed from 8-day intervals flow data which has been measured by Nakdong River Water Environmental Laboratory. TANK model is used to expand 8-day intervals flow data into daily flow data. Using the Sequential quadratic programing, TANK model is auto-calibrated with daily precipitation and 8-day interval flow data. Generated and measured daily surface flow, ground water flow data and ground water recharge are shown to be in a good agreement. From this result, it is thought that this method has the potential to provide daily flow data for calibrating an watershed model such as SWAT.
