  • Recently, the principal processes of T/L design tend to computerize and therefore integrated T/L design system has been developed. Since, it makes the automatic selection of T/L route, tower position and optimum design possible, computerized design method is applied all over the world. KEPCO introduced Optimal PowerLINE for T/L design in Myanmar 500kV project that is as a part of overseas project. And as a result of that work, effective and economical design was carried out. This paper presents the comparative analysis between Previous method and Optimal PowerLINE method for investigating practical application to Myanmar 500kV T/L design.

인체 전립선암세포에서 산수유 에탄올 추출물의 환경호르몬에 대한 방어효과 (Protective Effect of Corni fructus Ethanol Extracts Against Environmental Hormones in Human Prostate Cancer Cells)

  • 산수유 에탄올 추출물이 환경호르몬인 dioxin 및 bisphenol A(BPA)에 의해 유도된 인체 전립선 암세포인 RC58T/h/SA#4(prostate epithelial primary cancer cell lines)의 성장을 억제하는지를 조사하였다. 즉 산수유 에탄올 추출물을 10, 100, 300 및 $500{\mu}g/mL$ 농도로 RC58T/h/SA#4에 처리했을 시 $500{\mu}g/mL$ 농도 이상에서 높은 성장 억제율을 나타내었으며, dioxin과 bisphenol A를 다양한 농도로 처리한 결과 각각 1 nM, $0.1{\mu}M$ 농도에서 가장 높은 전립선암세포 증식을 유도하였다. 한편 환경호르몬(dioxin, BPA)에 의해 RC58T/h/SA#4의 증식을 유도시킨 후 산수유 에탄올 추출물을 10, 100, 300 및 $500{\mu}g/mL$ 농도로 처리한 결과 대조군에 비하여 산수유 에탄올 추출물 $500{\mu}g/mL$ 농도에서 그 억제율이 가장 높았다.

  • High molecular weight dextran (39% alcohol, v/v), less soluble dextran, eluted from this column between T 500 and T 2000, a commercial linear dextran, Soluble dextran (45% alcohol, v/v) eluted at between T 70 and T 150 dextran. The molecular weight average of total dextran (50% alcohol, v/v) was between 150,000 to 500,000. A few oligosaccharides were detected from hydrolyzates of less soluble dextran. The hydrolyzates of soluble dextran were a family of DP 1 to 6 isomaltooligosaccharides. Compounds greater than DP 4 were branched isomaltooligosaacharides.

마취제 MS-222, ethyl 3-amino-benzoate-methane sulfonate 가 해양 부착성 요각류 Tigriopus japonicus의 생존과 부화에 미치는 영향 (Effect of the Anesthesia MS-222, Ethyl 3-Amino-Benzoate-Methane Sulfonate on Survival and Hatching of Marine Benthic Copepod Tigriopus japonicus)

  • 살아 움직이는 요각류를 모세관으로 분리 할 때 마취제(MS-222)의 이용은 편리할 뿐만 아니라 분리 후 요각류의 생존율을 높일 수 있다. 본 실험은 다양한 종류와 크기의 요각류를 효율적으로 분리하기 위하여 부착성 요각류인 Tigriopus japonicus 수컷과 포란한 암컷을 대상으로 MS-222의 농도별(500, 750, 1,000 ppm) 마취시간과 회복시간 그리고 마취 후 분리된 개체들의 생존율 및 포란한 암컷의 nauplius 생산력을 비교 조사하였다. 그 결과는 다음과 같다. MS-222의 농도가 높아질수록 마취시간은 짧고 회복시간은 길게 나타났다. MS-222로 마취 후 분리한 T. japonicus의 14일간의 생존율에서 수컷은 포란한 암컷 실험구에 비해 유의적으로 높게 나타났으나 수컷 대조구와 유의적 차를 보이지 않았다. 반대로 포란한 암컷의 경우는, 750 ppm, 1,000 ppm에서는 생존율이 대조구나 500 ppm 에서보다 유의적으로 낮았다. MS-222 농도가 높을수록 T. japonicus의 부화횟수와 부화량은 적고, 부화주기는 길었다. 그러나 500 ppm 실험구는 대조구와 유의적인 차이가 없어 T. japonicus의 분리 시 적정 농도는 500 ppm 정도로 판단된다. 이러한 결과는 차후 다양한 크기의 요각류를 분리할 때 MS-222의 적정 농도를 파악하는데 유익한 기초 자료가 될 것이다.

Risperidone pharmacokinetics in relation to CYP2D6 and MDR1 in healthy male Korean subjects

  • The purposes of this study were to evaluate the relationship between the genetic polymorphisms in CYP2D6*10 allele, MDR1 (exon 21 and 26) gene and risperidone pharmacokinetics in healthy male Korean subjects. A single dose of 2 mg risperidone tablet was given orally to 23 healthy male Korean volunteers. Blood samples were taken during the 12 hours after the dose. Serum concentrations of risperidone and 9-hydroxyrisperidone were measured using HPLC with UV detector. 23 subjects were genotyped for CYP2D6*10 allele, MDR1 G2677 T and C3435T by polymerase chain reaction-restriction fragment length polymorphism(PCR-RFLP). 템퍼링 온도에 따른 ARMOX 500T 장갑재의 미세조직과 기계적 특성 (Effect of Tempering Temperature on the Microstructure and Mechanical Properties of ARMOX 500T Armor Plate)

  • The resistance of metallic materials to ballistic penetration generally depends on a number of parameters related to projectile, impact, and armor plate. Recently, armor materials have been required to have various properties such as hardness, strength, and impact toughness in order to maintain an excellent ballistic resistance even after impact. In the present study, the influence of tempering on the microstructure and mechanical properties of an ARMOX 500T armor steel plate was investigated and then compared with those of S45C and SCM440 steels. As the tempering temperature increased, the hardness and strength gradually decreased, whereas the ductility and impact toughness clearly increased because the hardness, tensile, and impact properties were affected by the microstructural evolution and precipitation occurring during tempering. On the other hand, temper embrittlement appeared at tempering temperatures of 300 to $400^{\circ}C$ for the impact specimens tested at low temperature.

Comparative analysis of HiSeq3000 and BGISEQ-500 sequencing platform with shotgun metagenomic sequencing data

  • Recent advances in sequencing technologies and platforms have enabled to generate metagenomics sequences using different sequencing platforms. In this study, we analyzed and compared shotgun metagenomic sequences generated by HiSeq3000 and BGISEQ-500 platforms from 12 sediment samples collected across the Norwegian coast. Metagenomics DNA sequences were normalized to an equal number of bases for both platforms and further evaluated by using different taxonomic classifiers, reference databases, and assemblers. Normalized BGISEQ-500 sequences retained more reads and base counts after preprocessing, while a slightly higher fraction of HiSeq3000 sequences were taxonomically classified. Kaiju classified a higher percentage of reads relative to Kraken2 for both platforms, and comparison of reference database for taxonomic classification showed that MAR database outperformed RefSeq. Assembly using MEGAHIT produced longer assemblies and higher total contigs count in majority of HiSeq3000 samples than using metaSPAdes, but the assembly statistics notably improved with unprocessed or normalized reads. Our results indicate that both platforms perform comparably in terms of the percentage of taxonomically classified reads and assembled contig statistics for metagenomics samples. This study provides valuable insights for researchers in selecting an appropriate sequencing platform and bioinformatics pipeline for their metagenomics studies.

콘크리트충전 각형기둥-H형강보 접합부의 변형능력에 관한 실험적 연구 (Experimental Investigation on Deformation Capacity of CFT Column to H-Steel Beam Connections)

  • T-스티프너로 보강한 모멘트 접합부의 실대형 실험이 수행되었다. 극심한 반복하중하에서 접합부의 변형모멘트 저항능력을 높이기 위해서 T-스티프너의 수직 및 수평요소로 보강하였다. 본 연구에서는 모두 5개의 실험체에 대한 실험을 수행하였는데, 접합부를 구성함에 있어서 CFT기둥 (${\boxe}-500{\times}500{\times}12$)과 H형강보 ($H-506{\times}201{\times}11{\times}19$)를 사용하였다. 접합부의 변형능력을 향상시키기 위해 RBS 상세(Dog-bone)와 수평요소 홀(HEH) 상세를 조합했다. 실험결과 RBS와 HEH 상세를 가진 실험체는, VE가 취성파단한 실험체를 제외하면, 모두 우수한 내진성능을 보였다. 또한, 모든 접합부의 최대내력은, 보의 실제의 항복하중을 사용한 값으로 구한 전소성모멘트를 적어도 15%에서 많게는 36%정도로 상회하였다.

Reproductive Performance of Dairy Buffaloes Supplemented with Varying Levels of Vitamin E

  • The effect of vitamin E supplementation on plasma ${\alpha}$-tocopherol level, total antioxidant level and reproductive performance in Murrah buffaloes was studied during periparturient period. Twenty-four advance pregnant buffaloes were randomly divided into four equal groups as $T_1$, $T_2$, $T_3$ and $T_4$ and were supplemented with 0, 1,000, 1,500 and 2,000 IU of ${\alpha}$-tocopheryl acetate (Merck) from 60 days prepartum to 30 days postpartum and 0, 500, 750 and 1,000 IU from 30 to 60 days postpartum, respectively. Blood samples were collected at -60, -45, -30, -15, -7, 0, 7, 15, 30 and 60 days of parturition and were analyzed for plasma ${\alpha}$-tocopherol and total antioxidant activity (TAA). The intake of DM, CP and TDN did not vary among different groups. Plasma ${\alpha}$-tocopherol and TAA around parturition (-7 to 15 day) in $T_3$ and $T_4$ were significantly higher than the control group. There was 17% reduction in retention of fetal membranes (RFM) and metritis in $T_4$ than control. The post partum estrus interval averaged 58.00, 55.33, 51.83 and 43.00 days in $T_1$, $T_2$, $T_3$ and $T_4$ respectively. There was significant reduction in days open in both $T_3$ and $T_4$ in comparison to $T_1$ group (127,130 Vs.146). All the vitamin E supplemented groups showed reduction in days open than their previous lactation performance. Supplementation of vitamin E at $1,500IU\;d^{-1}$ from 60 day prepartum to 30 day post partum to buffaloes exhibited beneficial effect on plasma ${\alpha}$-tocopherol level and TAA around parturition and continuation of its supplementation at $1,000IU\;d^{-1}$ from 30 to 60 days of lactation improved post partum reproductive performance of buffaloes.
